Satellite L755D - back to Windows 7

Hello

I installed windows 8 on my laptop L755d and I want to restore it to windows 7 (factory setting) using the partition. I followed the steps I did the other times (press F8 and select Repair) but based now on what the key does nothing.

Any help please?

After the installation of clean operating system you cannot use recovery partition to install the recovery image. You can do this by using only a recovery media.
You have created recovery disks?

  • Satellite L750 - Windows 10 - can I roll back to Windows 7?

I upgraded to 10 Windows in Windows 7, but I lost the wireless driver and cannot download it from anywhere (unless you know better). Also, I lost Internet Explorer. When I tried to download the system I have an updated copy even though God knows where he is.

My question is - can I roll back to Windows 7, which I was pretty happy?

As much as I know L750 is not supported for Win10 so I think that the best option for you is to go back to Win7.
After several problems with Win10, I did the same thing and I am happy now using original Win7.

How have you tried to install the audio driver?
Has uninstalled the previous drivers installed before you begin with the installation of the new?
You must uninstall the previous audio driver installed permanently.

Go to Device Manager and expand the audio, video controllers, game zone
Here you will find audio devices. Here, you have to remove/uninstall the driver.

Then expand the area of Systemdevices
You will also find the definition audio HD controller. This device should be deleted also.
Then, you have to restart the laptop.
After restarting again, wait for the deleted devices were recognized again and then install the mentioned audio driver Toshiba driver page.

Note: You should also check if your Windows 7 system is up to date! All patches and updates must be installed!

I had the same problem with my laptop Tecra running Windows 7 and mentioned workaround solution has helped to solve this problem, and that's why I put t think its hardware problem.

I'm not very well if this workaround works in your case, but you should check these steps of m.
Worth case you will need to use the Toshiba recovery procedure to restore the laptop to factory settings.

  • Satellite L755D-128 - having to reinstall USB drivers whenever I start my pc

    Hi all

hoping that someone out there can help me.

    Computer laptop _My: _
    Satellite L755D-128 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

    _My Problem_:
about 2 weeks on my 2 month old laptop, all ports usb stopped working.

View all the ports/usb hubs in Device Manager showed a yellow exclamation next to all the usb icons.
Troubleshooting, I uninstalled all drivers and did "scan for hardware changes" then the pop up window shows all the drivers are installed and functioning resumes.

But on the next startup, the same problem came back every time.
As a temporary solution, I have now to "hibernate" rather than "shut-down".

When the 'Materials search' tool re - installs the drivers, these are the drivers and devices which are repaired/installed:

Standard enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
    Controller standard OpenHCD host
    USB root hub
    Composite USB device
    Webcam TOSHIBA - MP

Any help would be appreciated, as it's a real pain to be without my laptop, if she had to go back for warranty service/repair.

    Thank you
    Kev.C.

    Hello

You should try to install the chipset driver since the chipset driver controls the USB controller.
As far as I know it s a game of chips AMD A60M/A70M and the pilot should be included in the display driver package

You've got also a pure yellow exclamation point the TOSHIBA Web Camera device while the webcam is connected also to the USB controller, so you need to reinstall the driver for the webcam.

But I think that the Toshiba HDD recovery would help you to get rid of all this questions drive HARD recovery would fix the OS back to the factory settings and in my view, this should help you with this problem

By the way: to begin the recovery of HARD drive, the device turns on, press F8, choose repair my computer, HARD drive recovery

  • Satellite C875: Changes in Windows recovery after update to 8.1 Windows

For days now with no success, I tried to update Windows 8 (64-bit) for Windows 8.1 a Satellite C875-153 (PSCBCE-03H002FR)
I open a new thread as none of yarns available on this forum helped me, or my research on the web.

    * 1 error *-I have ' sort of ' figure is:
    -> * 8.1 Windows update fails with error 0xC1900101 - 0 x 30018 *.

I followed all the steps, in the proper order, this guide from Toshiba, but it did not help to resolve the error:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-upgrade-stepbystep/

I then followed the recommendation of this thread and has been 'temporarily' able to update OS Win 8.1:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=296594

Step that worked for me was to remove the network cable during installation windows 8.1 as suggested by user "RandyRoberts".

    * 2nd error: *.

*-> Windows 8.1 hangs and the system has attempted to restore changes to Windows 8 *.
By disconnecting the network cable, I was able to complete the update of Windows 8.1 and run it temporarily.

As soon as I reconnect the network cable and reconnect on the web, the computer crashes and restarts.
I guess Windows 8.1 strives to check license status and then refuse to turn it on.
Windows ends up trying to restore changes and back to Windows 8.

He hangs on reboot and refuses to recharge the previous operating system (Windows 8), leaving me on a screen with the options of couple. At this stage, I can only get the picture of the plant to be able to restart the system.

These measurements were made on an OS freshly reinstalled with no additional software.
All updates and the steps have been followed and recheck several times. I'm runnning last BIOS available.
I have already backed up all my data and burned the recovery disks.

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

  • Satellite L755D - 14 c does not detect Bluetooth after installing Win 7

I have laptop Toshiba Satellite L755D - 14 c and I used to use my internal Bluetooth in my old system of operating Windows 7 64 bit, then I reinstalled Windows 7 and all of a sudden the Bluetooth went

I tried to installed the driver but nothing happened, as the device was not there at all.
Now I have Windows 8 64-bit on my laptop.

Can you help me with my problem?

    Hello

Satellite L755D - 14 c belongs to the PSK36E which was equipped with the Atheros WLan card series. This wireless network card supports BT as well.
Because of this, you need to install additional software called Atheros Bluetooth Filter Driver Package. But this step is necessary only running Windows 7!

If you what to know how the product?
Install first the Atheros WLan card driver, then the Atheros Bluetooth Filter Driver Package and, finally, the battery Toshiba BT.

  • Satellite L755D - accident of Ubuntu 11.04 with wireless

On Toshiba Satellite L755D, Ubuntu 11.04

UI crashes (OS hangs - like cron with date > file every minute * Watch) * random times - up to 5 times per day.
Reduced to the network interface. If the off wireless switch and use the ethernet cable looks OK, but just disconnect the cable also crashed it!

    Hey Buddy,

    > The user interface crashes (OS hangs - like cron with date > file every minute shows) at random times - up to 5 times per day.
It seems that the operating system does not work correctly
You have the same problem on the pre-installed Windows version?

If so, it seems to be a hardware malfunction, if it s just something wrong with the installation of the OS. A reinstall might help get rid me of this.

    Hello

I think that must be the PIN code while trying to connect the two devices.
If you will be asked to go through the code, you must put 0000 (4 x zero)
You can only connect a BT (portable) device that supports the A2DP (AV) features.

  • Satellite L755D - data partition D drive is full

I have a problem with the data drive on my Toshiba Satellite L755D. He easily gets full.

    Right now:
    (Translated from Danish)

    40,18 GB datafiles Securitycopy
    Photo 106,26 GB system
    Another 15,08 GB files
    71,52 GB of free space

I just deleted one of the securitycopies of data files, because there were only 21 MB of free space left on the Datadrive.

Why is there so much on the D drive?
And why it gets full, so often? It's really annoying.

I had many other computers, but never had this problem before, I got this Toshiba.

I don't know what you have moved or stored on the D partition, but Toshiba portable computers were pre-installed with a system and on the D partition, there is a folder of images from Toshiba that contains image files. This folder of the image and the image recovery files are used for HARD drive recovery and are needed to create own recovery or Memorystick flash recovery discs.

HARD disk recovery allows you to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings without a recovery media usage.
But if this folder or partition D would be changed, the recovery of HARD drive would not work.

  • Satellite L755D: black screen after startup or switching of external monitor

I have a strange problem with my Satellite L755D. I normally use an external monitor that works very well.

If I want to switch to the laptops monitor using Fn + F5, the laptop monitor remains dark, but you can see (more guessing) office.

Just the bright background lights. Same thing if I boot without the external monitor. In the beginning (phase BIOS?), you can see the normal symbols, then the screen turns to.

Funny, is that these two problems do not appear when I cut the power supply and the laptop runs on battery only.
Any ideas, what the reason could be?

    Thank you
    Mason

Funny, is that these two problems do not appear when I cut the power supply and the laptop runs on battery only.

Maybe you should check the configuration of power plan that is used only in battery mode.
It might be possible that the backlight settings have been set at a lower value by using the power of the battery.
I recommend you to check this in the ATI catalyst and windows power options.

  • I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894 with Windows Vista Home Premium installed (32 bit). Unable to get a backup to a flash drive. Error: 0 x 81000029

Original title: I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894 with Windows Vista Home Premium installed (32 bit).  Unable to get a backup to a flash drive.

After back back, very many updates of windows, my computer is full of problems and it is not representative of the restore points far enough back to correct.  I want really to save my data and programs for flash drive (s) and then go for a full recovery of the system (return to factory).  When you try to do the backup on a 4 GB USB key I get an error including 0 x 81000029.  I have seen posted answers to this.  Everything is included to aid Vista disk from the window which was not included when I bought my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

The following article should be useful. To use system recovery options, you have Vista installation disc. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repeatedly will install on the computer Windows recovery environment. To cross check if it is installed, try the following steps.

1 start the computer and press the F8 key continuously to get advanced boot menu options.
    2. on the menu advanced startup options, check if the Startup Repair tool is in the list.
    3. If so, select it and press ENTER.
    4. If not, then you should organize a Vista installation disc.

You may receive error messages when you try to perform a backup operation on a Windows Vista-based computer
