  To my knowledge, the A110-294 uses the Atheros WLan card and therefore the Atheros Wlan dirver should be the right one.

  You see the local network card in Device Manager? I mean, you should see an Ethernet controller or an unknown device in the network adapters

  The speakers on my Hp Pavilion DV7 - 3164cl have stopped working. The only time sound works when I use headphones or connect the computer to my tv.   OK, you have installed the disk HARD of another laptop but too format the HARD drive? I mean if the HARD drive performed from another laptop, you need to reinstall Windows because now you have other hardware installed.

  and it's terribly slow with vista, not to mention programs.
  The toshiba website says max RAM is 2 GB, so I bought a Kingston 1 GB ram chip to increase the ram to 1.5 GB. I thought should try before moving to 2 GB

  However after installing memory vivid it's show still only 1 GB in windows and in the bios (894 + the rest for video). It has the latest available BIOS on the site 3.10, yet still does not recognize the chip.

  The chip is installed in the lower slot, including the original 512 at the top (closest to the keyboard)

  Are limited to only some of the Satellite of RAM?
  The old subjects indicate if kingston does not work try corsair.

  Understood the problem and have a solution for this. (You mind I've updated to the latest drivers first!)

  Basically, the new driver has more than one audio output option and you must activate both of them.

  Here's how I did it,

  Control Panel => SMART AUDIO

  On the background, select the Audio DIRECTOR. From there, you will have 2 options to select among the CLASSICS (plays the sound only through headphones) and MULTISTREAMING (plays the sound to the speakers). I just changed the CLASSIC for MULTISTREAMING option and it works. After that, the volume mixer in the AUDIO SMART tab will have options to control the speaker and headset independently.

  Probably, you have found a mini-PCI on the motherboard slot. It certainly looks like mSATA but its not the same thing.

  Satellite A200-1CR can be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM.
  This means that you can use max 1 GB of RAM in one slot
  You used 2 GB of RAM and this module does not seem to be compatible
  In my opinion if you want to use 2 GB of RAM then you can buy 2 x 1 GB RAM modules

  I agree: installing drivers for Windows 7 is very important to get all devices work correctly. Windows 7 is much better than Vista OS and I don't see any reasons why your L300 Sat should not work properly with this Win 7 OS.

  I recommend you to install the Windows 7 system again by install completely clean.
  After that, download all drivers Toshiba Win 7 of the Toshiba UE driver page.
