Satellite of work collapsed touchpad flexible keyboard - 1 3 - C850
I bought a new C850 - 1 3. Touchpad does not work well, sometimes stop working (also during the first installation of Win8). The keyboard has bad feeling: very very soft (like netbook a year ago).
What do you think? Touchpad work stoppage is normal?
> Feels cheap.
C850 - 1 3 Satellite is a laptop cheap. You can get it for about 370 Euros.
> Touchpad work stoppage is normal?
Even if the laptop is cheap, the touchpad should work fine.
But what exactly do you mean by a stopped working?
You can enable or disable the touch pad by pressing Fn + F5 (or just F5)?
Have you tried to change the settings for the touchpad? (can be found in the control panel-> mouse-> last device-> score settings tab)
Hello I have a problem.
The first time I start the computer, the touch pad and the keyboard Don t run, and I need to connect a usb mouse to restart the computer. And in the second time, the keyboard and the touchpad to work correctly.
I have a Toshiba A300 and I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
This who could I do to fix this?
My English is very bad, but I hope you understand me and that you can help me.
According to your message, you have to restart the laptop in order to get the keyboard and the touchpad works properly.
There may be something wrong with the drivers for the keyboard and the touchpad
As a first idea I would recommend to update the operating system.
This means that you should check if a new installation of the OS could solve this problem.
Keyboard driver is part of the Windows OS, so I think this should be verified.
One of my school L300 keyboard and touchpad stopped working after a months of normal use. It has been reported, and on the advice of our technician, I used the disc of the cure to reinstall everything back to the original state. However, this does not have the problem. Now, I need to go through the normal configuration screens and am required to enter a user name that I can't do! This means that I can not check the drivers etc. The keyboard works fine in the BIOS, but not once windows starts.
Set the default BIOS settings and try again.
Starting installation of recovery can you use keyboard (arrows, ENTER) or mouse in the Toshiba Recovery menu?
I just took delivery of one P300 19 q which seems fine other than...
1. the Wireless does not work
2. the keyboard in my opinion is c * p
I removed Vista, I use the laptop for XP and music is much better (not sure if this is related) but I can't get WiFi to work.
I spent hours on the phone with Tiscali clean technology and directs the laptops with no joy.
Also, I'm not at all happy with the keyboard. The high-lift device together the keyboard keys to the left and right seem very strong, but everything else seem like they should be on a toy. Its this really how they should be?
I would appreciate a quick response because I'm undecided if I should get a refund or a replacement.
Thank you very much
As far as I know the laptop uses an Intel WLan card. Right?
In this case you must update the BIOS to version 3.00 or later.
With respect to the keyboard.
I put t know what you mean exactly by rest seem like they should be on a toy, but it s a black buttons keyboard brilliant 105 communes like these keyboards of laptop:
You will find these keyboards on different laptops from different manufacturers.
But if you think that there is a problem of keyboard and that there is something wrong then contact ASP in your country for a control keyboard (just to be 100% sure)
See you soon
As I can spread out or whether the keyboard of the laptop is a failure because some keys do not work.
As far as I know in case some keys on the keyboard don't work not the whole keyboard needs to be replaced.
Can you do it alone?
I am not satisfied by the keyboard of my Satellite Pro L650 1QG I5-4 settings.
Before I had a Satellite S5200-701 that has worked well for almost 8 years after, I replaced almost any critical component to half-life.
Finally the controller was unserviceable and last week the laptop worked no more after this problem has resided for six months but the laptop did not fail until last week prompted me to install and use my new laptop.
I felt very comfortable with my old laptop and its parameters.
However, the new laptop has an inadequate setting of its keyboards.
"ALT GR" is replaced with my old keyboard and hold the 'CTRL' key has exactly the same position as on my old laptop so that it is possible that I write a 'CTRL-Q' when I tried to type 'ALT GR Q' or '@' which happens quite often and stops the program (EXIT).
How can this problem be solved. Is it possible to get a fix? Either by replacing the CTRL key with a deaf person, or changing the configuration of the computer?
I'm not sure I can adapt to this problem from any 'normal' keyboard is different and similar to my old laptop and work with a USB keyboard is no solution!

I think that there are not many options for you you used a keyboard that has supported a different layout, L650-1QG supports the 102 (Euro) A4 + 10key flat standard black keyboard that can be different from the old Satellite 5200-701 keyboard.
Don't know if you can replace the keyboards because of the measures so maybe one and the only option for you is the use of the external USB keyboard that would be similar to Satellite 5200 701 keyboard
I have a client who really wanted XP loaded on this Satellite L300D-01N (PSLC8C-01N019), and I have all the drivers are working on it... the only thing that does not work are the shortcut keyboard/function keys. Of course, there is no XP drivers for this particular unit on the Toshiba site.
Anyone out there had any chance to get the keyboard shortcuts to work for this model?
Thanks in advance!
The European driver Toshiba page provides for Satellite L300D PSLC8E series XP drivers.
Check if the drivers for this series runs on your laptop.
My laptop is brand new. When I use the keyboard, I can't click on the left side of the mouse. It does not work the touchpad or a usb mouse. I can move the mouse, but it does not left-click while press keyboard. Left click to work just the keys 'Ctrl', 'Alt' and 'Shift' when I use the keyboard. Now I removed the synaptic driver, but it still continues. I'm waiting for your help.
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!
I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked into your question your and the mouse doesn't work does not correctly. Here is a document on how to troubleshoot mouse and touchpad.
If you go to the onTroubleshooting section when the TouchPad does not work it should help solve the problem.
You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10. Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!
Please let me know how it goes.
Number 8 on my keyboard (on the numeric keypad) froze and causes problems with the commissioning of the buffer filling and also the password box. I can solve this problem but its boring worm.
Any ideas and help gratefully received.
This means that a single cause a problem, but all other keys work correctly on your keyboard?
Unfortunately I think that in this case, you can not expect to change the entire keyboard. ASP told me it s not possible to change some unique keys for the entire keyboard needs to be replaced, but it s not so expensive.
What to do now?
Contact your authorized service provider and ask for help. Explain the problem and they can order a new keyboard and Exchange you it. :)
installed a keyboard and wireless mouse and the mouse works fine, but the keyboard types the wrong keys! Any ideas? Thank you
Wired or wireless - is usually not serious unless the wireless can get more interference. If the keyboard is close to the receiver which is connected to the computer and you get the strikes hurt - my suggestion is to try first the keyboard on another computer.
To do this, * not * require you to install specific drivers. Simply unplug the combo of a computer and in the other and see if the keyboard works correctly. Then, you can troubleshoot from there.
I have been using international keyboards such as the provisions of German, Spanish and Portuguese keyboard for many years. I have implemented mappings to switch between languages and you can quickly type in the language that I need.
However, yesterday and today, all of a sudden; key stopped working on my international keyboards. In English, I can type; as many times as I want. But when I switch to German, the key o (English; key) does not work. Spanish N does not work. This is - when I hold it down, I can make it work:
NNNNNNN and it spits out a long line of characters, and I can remove backwards to get only one of them.
How boring! I can't find any other articles on this topic.
I took a look at this thread and realized that my user profile is damaged. I created a new Windows user and tried to use the German keyboard here and it worked fine.
Too bad, I really don't want to mess with my files. Maybe, I'll just buy an external hard drive, so such things don't affect me as well.
Someone there mouse without boarders to work with Lenove wireless keyboard and mouse? I am running Windows 7 on a single computer and Vista on the other.
I suggest you to contact Lenovo support for more information.
I don't know why but the * button no longer works to lock the keyboard.
How to correct?
I solved it after power off and remove the battery.
This Satellite L300D laptop isn't even a year and it gives me a heck of a lot of questions.
About 3 times a week just touchpad will stop working (after around the crazy stuff & clicking its own)
When I plug in a mouse, it works.
Today the keyboard gave upward, after a re-start, it will allow me to type in my password, but after that its dead.
The laptop is not one that s good year because security must still be valid
For me, it sounds like a hardware problem (problem of keyboard).
But he s strange you can still type a password, however, that he sees as a hardware problem and therefore, you should get in touch with ASP in your country
If the warranty is valid, then everything should be done for free!
My keyboard and touchpad no longer works out of nowhere (I think that it is after the update of windows?) and I can't seem to be able to fix it, I tried to reinstall the drivers for the touchpad and nothing has changed, as I could not find the drivers for the keyboard.
can someone recommend me to do? I'm going crazy with this laptop!
(The model is Satellite M50-A-118)
Thanks for the comments.
