Satellite P100-208 - preinstalled software restore

Hello

I have problem with my OS on the satellite P100-208. With my laptop, I got 3 recovery disks.

(1) product Toshiba Recovery
(2) Express Media Player Toshiba Recovery CD
(3) Works 8.5 recovery

After the user manual:

"When you reinstall the windows operating system, the hard drive will be reformatted and all data will be lost!
Load the recovery of the product in the drive disc and remove power from the computer... etc.

Restore Express Media Player:
"Please use the Express Media Player recovery CD to reinstall the"Express Media Player"* BEFORE * you reinstall a Windows operating system."
Load the Express Media Player Recovery CD in the drive and turn off the power to the computer... etc.

Then, what CD will go first?

Lucas of the DRG.

Hello

I think the user manual says it all, or why you need more help? You don t believe the user manual?

In addition the manual also indicates if you press on the button of the CD/DVD drive in a State of power - off runs Express Media Player. So I think this is the reason why you use this disc in first.

The third disc must contain Microsoft Works and should be used after the new installation of Windows.

  • Where can I get drivers for Vista for Satellite P100-208?

    Hello.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100-208 with MCE Windows preinstalled. I ordered the upgrade of Vista and install Vista Home Premium on my laptop. But I can't get my sound card to work and not my SD card reader and I had to use an old display driver to get a decent picture.

I can't find a driver for my laptop here to Toshiba and want to know when and where I can get all the Vista drivers for my laptop?

Why give free upgrade to Vista when I can't use Vista on my laptop?

    Hello

Obviously, the drivers are not ready for each laptop model and I presume it's just matter of time when you'll be able to find them under http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/vista/

Check this page from time to time.

Also, if I change XP to Vista, where can I find the Vista drivers for my laptop? It is set up with XP when I bought it, but it has a sticker that says "Windows Vista capable".

    Hello!

As said by Akuma, the installed T5500 CPU supports 64-bit processing and so you can install a 64 bit OS.

But for Vista 64-bit, you must find other sites of pilots as on the Toshiba Web site are only 32-bit Vista drivers available.
It takes a little time to find all the drivers work.

  • Satellite P100-10U preinstalled Vista cannot read DVD - event code 11

After the work with my new Toshiba P100-10U system could not read DVD more, it is still able to read CD-Roms! In Device Manager, an exclamation point grey is visible.

The event log indicates repeatedly "Treiber Der hat einen Controllerfehler auf \Device\CdRom0 found.", something like "the pilot detected error on \Device\CdRom0 controller."

I installed the system again, but the wrong behavior is still there.
    The system has a carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s drive.

I already checked the registry entry {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. There's no UpperFilter or UpperFilter attributes.

    Any idea?

    Thank for Kalle

    Hello

I m really surprised because such error problem should be resolved after the installation of the new operating system.
More as you already suggested the filter upstream and downstream in the registry key are mainly responsible for these strange drive problems.

In any case, I recommend to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot the laptop. After restarting again the operating system should recognize the CD/DVD drive again. You should see a message as new device has been installed or something like that

In addition, it would be desirable to use a system like CCleaner repair program. It s freeware!

Finally, you should check the registry again if the upper and lower filter exists and delete it.
Don t forget to reboot the device.

    Good luck

  • Satellite P100-119 - software after the installation of recovery

I use a Toshiba Satellite P100-119 since 2006. I want to run the original liveries Product Recovery CD after you back up all my data, so that with a vacuum system, the laptop gets even faster.

But as there were pre-installed software (office, Toshiba programms) when I bought it, I don't know if they went after the recovery. I do not have CD for these programs, they were just pre-installed and what my Windows xp, should recover fully with the cd?

    Hey Buddy,

After the installation of recovery, you have the same settings that bought the laptop. With other words recovery disk will restore the box settings.

Firstly the recovery disk will wipe the entire HARD drive and remove all. After this Windows will be installed all the drivers and tools. In addition, will be also installed software preinstalled such as office, etc. and you can use it again. :)

Backup all important data like the photo, music, etc. but everything will be removed for a clean install of Windows.

  • System recovery media is not delivered with my new Satellite P100

    Hello world.

Two weeks ago, I bought my first laptop of Toshiba (P100-324). Before, I had many doubts about the facilities of Toshiba. Now I have to say that I am really very pleased with the quality of your product. The laptop itself is great and everything works fine.

Except a problem: in the box, it there was only one disc: the CD entitled "Express Media Player Recovery CD. When I checked the database online of the Toshiba with my s/n, she showed a Windows recovery DVD in the package list. So I did what you guys recommend to: contacted * all * the FSA in Poland. Surprisingly, the quality of the customer service was not so good. Each of them told me as if there were no real DVD in the box, it MUST be a hidden partition on my HARD drive, and if I want to buy the CD/DVD with the operating system (I have a license/sticker OEM to use: XP MCE) I pay about 20 EUR

Wow. A price of 20 EUROS for a single value of CD... 5 cents? (the media itself, not the software) In fact, when I was paying a lot of money for my laptop I expect something more in terms of customer service. But anyway, I'm just one customer, probably worth less than nothing to the FSA. So, after this long and boring, prologue here are my questions:

    (1) should there be another DVD in my Inbox that contains the Windows XP MCE OEM installation?

    (2) otherwise - y at - it technique uber-elite that Toshiba is using to hide the Windows recovery partition me? There are only 2 partitions on my HARD drive: one with 250 MB (which is IMHO far too small to contain all the windows + drivers) and one that fills the disk completely (~ 200 GB). Is there some magic bios that would display the partitions one another?

    (3) otherwise - is it possible to "produce" somehow a windows recovery DVD? I mean, on my c: drive is CMPNENTS, I386, directories VALUEADD I somehow recognizes Windows installation CD. However, when I try to use nLite on the root of c: (or the i386 directory), it indicates that not all the installation files are present.

    (4) and finally - how do I reinstall my Windows XP MCE?

I really, really need to have an option to reinstall my operating system. It would be a shame for Toshiba that I had to buy another copy of Windows XP Home edition oem (and scratch the key oem sticker).

    Hello Tomasz

First of all, I am very pleased to hear that you are satisfied with your new P100. Right now I use the older Satellite M70 with ATI graphics card, but I think buying Satellite P100. Satellite P100 has long been on the market and I hope that very soon, Toshiba P100 successor. Maybe something like P200 and I think I'll wait a few months see what happens in the future.

    Back to your question:
As far as I know recovery DVD should be bundled with the new and original packaged product. On your laptop, it is also preinstalled Express Media Player. It's a small application based on Linux that allows you to watch DVD movies or listen to audio CDs without booting the operating system. It is preinstalled on small partition unallocated. Express Media Player using supplied restore CD you can install it anywhere, anytime. As I said recovery DVD should be supplied with your laptop. But in this whole one thing confused me: autour Googling, I discovered that the Satellite P100-324 is available in Germany and Austria. Because of this I really don't know how you could buy this product in Poland? Have you branch new or perhaps as some showroom products.
Please give some info about it.

Maybe is my view too long but I wanted to just tell you one thing. May be pretty important thing: many users mix of Toshiba service and authorized partners. Each authorized service partner is not directly Toshiba. All these partners are independent companies that have contracts with Toshiba (and very often with other laptop manufacturers) and they repair laptops. Please note that they operate as independent businesses and create prices on its own (free market). If there is a communication problem you cannot say: bad or bad service from Toshiba. Yes, in a certain way, they represent Toshiba but if personal service is not qualified or hostile he really has nothing to do with Toshiba himself.

They are also right on self-created recovery DVD Toshiba a few notebook models are supplied without the recovery DVDs and the user must create one. But it is absolutely not the case with your P100. For most computers business notebooks have this option as Portege and Tecra.

Dear Tomasz at the end it is not easy to say what you need to do. If you have a portable German perhaps it is best to order the DVD of recovery on your tongue. He's still irritated when you have additional costs but 20 euros is not a lot of money. Fill in your new toy and enjoy your life.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite P100-188: how to perform the procedure for recovery of the product?

    Hello

I just had a bit of trouble to install a piece of software that, in the end I could settle with a system restore. This process was worried at the time that I could not get the software uninstalled properly (I had to download a program from the machine to uninstall!)

At one point, I considered the restoration of my laptop Satellite P100-188 with the product recovery disc, the thing is I never did this before and I was wondering if someone could tell me the best sequence for later use.

I have a standard Windows Media Center Edition OS, a recovery disk of the product, a disk Express Media Player and a CD of Drivers and tools that I created when I got the laptop.

I have a feeling telling to restore Express Media Player before Windows, is does that mean that I have to insert this disc, install Express Media Player, then insert recovery disk product to install Windows?

The Express Media Player disc formats the drive? It's not clear to me and I don't want to run into problems when I finally don't have to reinstall my operating system.

I searched this forum to see if this information was already posted and could not find all the relevant information, all I can find are problems with the help of recovery and lack of discs discs.

If it has been posted before could you provide me a link and I'm sorry again calls for data.

    Hello Gary

If you want to have own OS preinstalled, the best solution is to use supplied recovery media. If the Express media player works well the leave it as it is and use the recovery DVDs only for clean operating system installation. All that s!

Tools and Utilities CD can be used if you need to reinstall Toshiba designed tools or if you want to install your own operating system by using the facilities of Microsoft CD. If you have any other questions please post again.

  • Satellite P100: Ox7927e03e fatal execution engine error Code

The above error message (code Ox7927e03e) appears whenever I restart my Satellite P100.

Various suggestions on the Microsoft XP Update/repair Net.Framework Web site do not work.

Any ideas? The computer works normally except for the library that generates the same message.

First, you can use Windows own system restore tool. This tool will recover the OS to the point of beginning. If this does not work, you can use the Toshiba Recovery CD. On this CD everything was preinstalled and this facility will define the laptop back to factory settings

  • Satellite P100-240: Media Center Edition - error 3

I recently installed the Toshiba TV DVB, set up all channels and guides, then recorded a number of television programs.
Unfortunately, when I have pulled up my Satellite P100-240 this morning to check the last recordings of nights, the Media Center told me that I had deleted all of my recordings.

I tried to get the library going again without success.
All I get is a window telling me that there may be essential audio and video files missing and he said that I should quote "error 3" when looking for support. ".
I tried reinstalling the drivers, etc., but it just goes back to "error 3' anyone able to help?"

It is a very strange question. To be honest I really don t know what happened with you Windows Media Center software.
It s a program from Microsoft and my personal experience, sometimes inexplicable things

What you could do is trying to roll back the BONE to this early time!
Eventually a point system restore has been created and you can set the operating system on this point.

I also recommend to check your recorded programs.
Usually programs stored is located in the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\ all TempSBE TV
Maybe you could save these files.

  • Satellite P100 - 434 BSOD boot problem

    Hello everyone!

I have laptop Toshiba Satellite P100-434 and lately I encountered many problems during startup.

    1. the laptop starts normally until the entry of the password. Then, in the middle of typing BSOD.
    2. the laptop gets BSOD or turns off 2 seconds after the Microsoft bar appeared.
    3. the laptop won't turn on - after launch is only a flash of three blue LEDs on the right and the screen remains blank. No home Toshiba screen.

After a few attempts I managed to get the Toshiba welcome screen (this is after the second flash), but there are other issues later, the laptop shuts down or trying to launch startup repair. He speaks only of unspecified error and restores the previous state.
    4. I tried to enter safe mode, but several times I met the same: the laptop turns off after loading some drivers.

BSOD are too short for me to identify what is ongoing - I noticed something just BAD POOL and IRQL NOT EQUAL to something as if it was something with the drivers, no doubt the NVIDIA driver display. I uninstalled and downloaded a new and installed (version 7.15.11.5666). EMH is NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600. Once, there was some information about dxgkrnl.sys?

I did the Test of memory Windows at startup - no error.

I scanned for any viruses: my AVG removed some Cryptor virus, but the problem is still there.

The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2.

I don't know what the problem is. This is the driver of display or any other driver? Or maybe some powers of the problems? All advice welcome!

    > Anyway: I would like to know if the problem is hardware, or rather the related software, because I take my laptop to repair if there is something I could do download/resettlement.

This question can be easily answered: you must install the Windows operating system.
If the windows installation would be finished correctly and if you will not see another BSOD after installing, it emits so was related to the (software) system. But if the system is not possible or if BSOD would appear during the installation and after installation, then I suppose that something is wrong with the material of s for laptop.

  • Driver Conexant HD Audio - Satellite P100 PSPA3C Win XP problem

    I have a Satellite P100 PSPA3C MA202C.

I found on the Web from Toshiba site a new Conexant HD Audio 3.44.0.0 driver version for my laptop (Windows XP, 3 GB of RAM)
and had the bad idea to install it. After installation, the sound is terrible Crackle and interruptions.
including the sound of Windows boot at startup, when you first open during playback and audio files.
When a UC program gets started.
    It's never happened before.

I acknowledge that during installation, I received a message from the system
warning that this driver is not signed as having managed the "Windows logo test '.

However, the same situation stands for previous versions of site Web from Toshiba, like 3.21.0.52, who gave the same problems.
Then I wanted to let Windows choose the right driver, but it turns
"Microsoft function driver UAA for HD Audio Conexant Waikiki" which provides its own, but has no audio in (microphone).

So now I'm stuck with the crackling and interruptions of Conexant, or with Waikiki have no microphone.

It's strange, because the initial configuration worked well. Unfortunately, I do not know how to restore the original configuration,
It is not written anywhere, that the system cannot understand itself and of the restoration came with the computer dvd
only allow for a radical total restoration of the status of the day of sale, which is not acceptable.

    What a disappointing experience!

    Can someone help, please?

    Hello!

S DVD supplied with the computer are called recovery disks and it's the way to return to the factory settings.
The disc contains the Windows preinstalled with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.

I know it's strange, but in my opinion, there is no other way to solve this problem. So back up your data first HARD drive will be completely formatted.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P100-478 - blocking down, temperature problem

    Hello world

There is a year and a month, I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100-478.

    Everything worked fine until now.
Now, I have some problems of temperature.

I tried to play (I know 7300 go are not the best for this), and I checked the temperature with Intel Thermal Analysis Tool (TAT).

    Before playing:
    Core 1 ~ 60
    Core 2 ~ 60
    Temp 33 ACPI thermal zone

    While playing:
    Core 1 ~ 85
    Core 2 ~ 85
    Thermal Zone temp ACPI 33

So I don't know why he died.

I restarted the pc, without delay:
    Core 1 ~ 74
    Core 2 ~ 75
Thermal Zone temp ACPI 70 (what the hell?)

If I play, if I work (programming), even install windows live messenger yesterday results in a disabling...
I restored my computer with the CD in my computer Windows Vista is clear...

Because the security of the computer is over (since 1 month, geez), I changed the radiator composed (hope this is the correct English), but unfortunately this isn't helping.

The temperature of ACPI, from 30 to 70 after the restart thing it's something strange...

    Anyone have any idea?

    Best regards, Dimitri.

Unless you have a software problem (take a look at the Windows process monitor to see if CPU 100% active) it is likely that powder is blocking off the coast of radiators.

I had problems with a Toshiba Satellite 30-135. Fans were running at full speed. Temperature has quickly reached the maximum and the closed laptop. I put the laptop upside down on a table to see the fans and there is powder inside fans, but nothing spectacular. Then I blew my mouth through the gates where the air goes out of the laptop, the copper radiator is behind the gates - * blow air only please *!) : a lot of Red-gray powder came out in a big cloud. To restart the laptop ran silently and never stops again.

Since then, I use a spray of cleaning the dry air from time to time to blow gently through the gates, and I have more problems.

Unfortumately I have not used the mobile me and the user got angry and started the laptop several times during the incident, so that the display being damaged: two weeks after the incident, a vertical white line have signed the death of display.

    So be careful!

I guess you have an its installed realtek card. If so, then go to www.realtek.com.tw, download the latest driver for Realtek HD audio and install the driver after removing the sounddrivers of Toshiba.

After that, you should also have a control panel that is accessible trough the "Control Panel".
Here, you can set all the settings on your sound card.

    Hello

I suggest the following: recover your machine and update tools and drivers again. I don't know if McAfee is the cause of your problem, but if a system is broken on the software side, then, among the most popular and useful actions is to restore the system, and then being happy when it works again.

Would appreciate comments on your success.
