Satellite P100-208 does support 64-bit processing?
Nice day.
I wonder if my Toshiba Satellite P100-208 can support a 64-bit (Windows Vista) operating system? I currently have XP 32 bit.
[Here are the specs of the computer laptop. | http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?service=UK&DISC_MODEL=0 & ACTION = PRINT_WITH_BACK & com decided .do w .broadvision = Yes & PRODUCT_ID = 122152]
Also, if I change XP to Vista, where can I find the Vista drivers for my laptop? It is set up with XP when I bought it, but it has a sticker that says "Windows Vista capable".
Hello!
As said by Akuma, the installed T5500 CPU supports 64-bit processing and so you can install a 64 bit OS.
But for Vista 64-bit, you must find other sites of pilots as on the Toshiba Web site are only 32-bit Vista drivers available.
It takes a little time to find all the drivers work.
Good bye

Satellite P100-429 does support the 5-in-1 card reader?
IM wanting to buy a new laptop computer and is came through the "Toshiba Satellite P100-429'." It's the portable perfect! However, when I searched the internet for a detailed technical specification, I found that on pixmania.co.uk he states that there is no memory card reader:
http://www.Pixmania.co.UK/UK/UK/462038/art/Toshiba/Satellite-P100-429.html
Still other sites, he says that there is a 5-in-1 including Toshiba card reader themselves. It is therefore possible to have the same laptop model but with a different specification? or is it a typo in the site of pixmania? Thank you
> is it possible to have the same laptop model but with a different technique
Of course, many laptops in the same series were delivered with different hardware specifications it is nothing unusual. For example, the dvi video port, express card slot or the married media card slot are available on some models.
I would trust the Web from Toshiba site and this model should support housing ExpressCard and a PCMCIA Type II slot.
The slot SD, Compact Flash Card slot card and smart card reader are not available on this model -
Where can I get drivers for Vista for Satellite P100-208?
Hello.
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100-208 with MCE Windows preinstalled. I ordered the upgrade of Vista and install Vista Home Premium on my laptop. But I can't get my sound card to work and not my SD card reader and I had to use an old display driver to get a decent picture.
I can't find a driver for my laptop here to Toshiba and want to know when and where I can get all the Vista drivers for my laptop?
Why give free upgrade to Vista when I can't use Vista on my laptop?
Hello
Obviously, the drivers are not ready for each laptop model and I presume it's just matter of time when you'll be able to find them under http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/vista/
Check this page from time to time.
Good bye

Satellite P100-208 - preinstalled software restore
Hello
I have problem with my OS on the satellite P100-208. With my laptop, I got 3 recovery disks.
(1) product Toshiba Recovery
(2) Express Media Player Toshiba Recovery CD
(3) Works 8.5 recoveryAfter the user manual:
"When you reinstall the windows operating system, the hard drive will be reformatted and all data will be lost!
Load the recovery of the product in the drive disc and remove power from the computer... etc.Restore Express Media Player:
"Please use the Express Media Player recovery CD to reinstall the"Express Media Player"* BEFORE * you reinstall a Windows operating system."
Load the Express Media Player Recovery CD in the drive and turn off the power to the computer... etc. Then, what CD will go first?
Lucas of the DRG.
Hello
I think the user manual says it all, or why you need more help? You don t believe the user manual?
In addition the manual also indicates if you press on the button of the CD/DVD drive in a State of power - off runs Express Media Player. So I think this is the reason why you use this disc in first.
The third disc must contain Microsoft Works and should be used after the new installation of Windows.

My Satellite L500-19Z does support DDR3 memory?
In my view, it has 4 GB (2x2gb 200 pin 1.8 v DDR2 SoDimm PC2-6400) memory standard (800 MHz I think). I want to move to 8 GB and I saw the following offer: -.
8 GB (2x4gb) 1333 Mhz PC3-10600 memory Kit.
My laptop will support it?
I hope someone can help.

> My Satellite L500-19Z does support DDR3 memory?
Say the user manual?
Did you check that? The support of memory depends on the chipset.
If the chipset does not support DDR3 so you cannot use it.
The chipset is Mobile Intel GM45 Express Chipset and AFAIK that support DDR2 800 MHz 8 GB max memory chipset. -

IM installing vCenter on a 32-bit Windows 2008 with 4 GB of RAM.
We intend to add more memory shortly.
VCenter does support 32-bit address extension, is there any known issues?
Thank you
x 86 is not an identification for 32 bit, which is a hardware platform. See release notes

vCenter Server 4.1 supports installation on platforms Windows 64 - bit only. If you have VMware VirtualCenter 2.x installed, see vSphere Upgrade Guide for instructions on installing vCenter Server on a 64-bit operating system and preservation of your VirtualCenter database.

Satellite L500-208 does not automatically go to power saving mode
Dear guys,
I have a Satellite L500-208 (Serial: PSLS9E) with pre installed Windows 7 64-bit.
For some time, the laptop does not automatically energy saving mode (as configured in the Power Options).Automatic change "Energy saving" worked some time ago and all of a sudden, it stopped.
However, I do not remember what changed and probably caused the problem.Everything works fine and a manual of hitting on "Energy Save Button" also works very well...
Before you guys suggest an update of the BIOS, the BIOS is version 1.60.
Current version is 1.90 (or same 2.00?).
Well, I missed an update and from the Toshiba Web space seems to be very rare, they offer only the latest version of the BIOS.Can someone points me to older versions of BIOS, or any that may give a clue to the strange behavior power?
Kind regards
FrankHello
Maybe there's something wrong with the Eco utility.
I recommend reinstall this tool.
On the European driver Toshiba page, you will find this tool.
After the new installation, please check the settings provided by the Eco utility.
Eventually, you will need to activate the energy saving mode automaticGood luck

Would it not possible to Flash my motherboard with the firmware of another model of laptop computer? Or is there a BIOS update in the near future that will allow me to make use of my full 4 GB of RAM?
Hello
Normally, the Satellite P100-160 supports 4 GB of RAM. If you check the user manual, you can find this information it can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM with two 2 GB memory modules.
Just a question: how much will be shown in the BIOS directly? He acknowledges the full 4 GB of RAM?
And don t forget you can only use 4 GB of RAM with a 64 bit OS. If you use 32-bit OS, you can only use up to 3.2 GB of RAM.
Have you installed Linux 64-bit version? -

THXQosmio F30 supports the 64 bit OS. This means that you can install it, but the problem is that you will not find Original Toshiba 64-bit drivers or tools because the 64-bit operating systems are not supported by Toshiba at this time.

Satellite M60-135 does support C - salt?
Hello
TEAC DVD player no longer works.
So I would like to replace it.
Think I fell on the drive Pioneer DVR-K16L of alternatives. But it is obviously set to "cable select".
My M60-135 does support this, or do I have to choose another drive?Any suggestions welcome!
THX!
Hello
These information are not known to me, and especially if you want to buy a car for you laptop, you must first call the Toshiba authorized service provider for more information on compatible players.
There is also another possibility to find out what the laptop supports parameters.
I use Nero burning rom and this application supports a diagnosis function. He entered the information about the installed CD/DVD drive.
After this diagnostic procedure, you need to know more details about the installed drive and you must buy the player that supports the same specifications -
