  I have the Satellite P100-227, I brought a lot of different types of cables and adapters for trying to get a digital signal to headphones s/pdif Jack (the manual says that the helmet and S/pdif share the same socket). I tried a cable optical toslink to an adapter optical 3.5 mm but I can't not all digital audio of this laptop. It seems strange that there are a lot of output video but not audio Digital 5.1?

  Why can't they provide a daily normal production as an audio output optical digital toslink?

• Satellite P100 - cannot get the CD/DVD writer to work under WXP Pro

  I recently updated my Satellite P100 - 188 (PSPA3E) to run Windows XP Pro SP2.

  I can't have the CD/DVD writer to work well. I looked on the downloads page, but there seems to be nothing. It reads the CD/dvd, but allow me to write to them. If I put a blank CD in nothing happens.

  Someone has ideas how to get this working again?

  Maybe you should install like Nero burning software. Original Toshiba image (WXP MCE) it was an engraving Sonic RecordNow software pre-installed.

  There are many different models of Satellite P100, and I think that the units were delivered with different drives.
  But if the laptop came with DL reader so it should also could handle the DVD + RW.

  Does happen with different DVD + RW from different manufacturers?
  I think that in the manual you will find a list with tested and compatible media that you can use.
  This list, I found in the user manual on my satellite.

• Cannot use the recovery on Satellite P100-227 disc

  I recently bought a laptop and decided to reset via the provided restore disc, to my surprise after having inserted the recovery disk and restart the notebook goes directly into Windows. Even if I went into the BIOS and set the CD/DVD drive as a starting point to the top, or even after pressing the F12 key.

  Hello.

  The fan inside my P100 is very annoying. He turns and the brief gusts constantly and gets really annoying.

  I have not used out anywhere yet, but I imagine that if I used it on the train, who I'm sitting then too would get so bored!

  Be careful it can be many instances of the registry subkey that is mentioned in step 2.
  You must ensure that you are in the appropriate registry subkey before modifying the UpperFilters and LowerFilters values.
  To verify that you are in the appropriate registry subkey, make sure that the default data value is the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM and the class data value is CDROM.
  3. in the right pane, click UpperFilters, and then click on remove.
  4. click on Yes to confirm the deletion of the UpperFilters registry entry.
  5. in the right pane, click LowerFilters, and then click on remove.
  6. click on Yes to confirm the deletion of the LowerFilters registry entry.

• No USB2 on Satellite P100

  My Satellite P100-227 running XP SHOULD have 4-Port USB2, but they have always functioned as USB1.

  I've updated with SP3 and chipset updates. Device Manager show controllers USB FIVE, of which four are USB1 and the fifth is USB2 enhanced (is this normal?-no idea what this fifth controller can be). Toshiba support suggest a system restore which seems a bit drastic, and I don't see that it would be useful that I NEVER had the USB2 feature.

  Does anyone else have this problem? All solutions?

  Sorry, but I can't believe this. Each recovery image is tested and I can't imagine that there is a problem with the original OS.

  Hi, I have a Satellite P100-227 and of the format and reinstall windows. I tried both discs and no work - the other oldest won't read even since the drivers of compression at the beginning of the recovery.

  So I'm an old XP disc (I run XP btw) and decided to try to install windows this way to check that my laptop was working, which is - I installed XP very well to a good Windows disc and a code is legitimate. However, I have now no drivers for my laptop and the internet does not work - my wireless will not connect at all, let alone register that there is a wireless connection (he used to appear in the lower right, once it was turned on). "When I go to Device Manager and look for network adapters, all there is ' 1394 Net adapter" is said works very well.

  I wonder if there is no drivers for my wireless card, as I have not used the Toshiba restore disk.   Check the Wlan card, then you will get the right driver.
