  • Satellite P100-347 does not start in Windows

My recently purchased P100-347 has recently developed a problem where it is unable to start windows, I get the Toshia welcome screen, then the initial xp load screen, but then everything stops and I'm left with a blank screen.

This happens not all the time, but it only successfully boots up to abut 1 to 10 tent, ideas or suggestions?

Well, your laptop has successfully passed the POST (power on self-test) and so I n t think there could be something wrong with the material as the motherboard.

Possibly the HARD drive contains certain corrupt sectors or there problems with the operating system.
In any case, I think the first attempt should be reinstalling new Windows OS.
I assume you have a Toshiba restore CD. You use this CD to install the OS.

After this procedure the laptop should start without any problems.
But if the problem persists you should contact the service partner because it s unusual laptop cannot start properly. In all cases, the warranty is valid and everything should be done for free.

  • "Not enough space to complete the operation"

    Hello

    I use
    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium
    32 bit
    Service Pack 2
    Compaq :D

When I started my computer. I noticed that the volume icon had a small red cross. And the network thing too. So when I right click on the volume bar. It has 3 options: playback devices, recorders and sounds. When you hold your mouse on the icon it says "Audio Service has not started". When you place your mouse over the network icon it will say "not enough memory to complete the operation.

When I go to services, I see that Windows Audio is not enabled. When I click right properties. He said its on automatic. That when I press start, it also says: "not enough memory to complete the operation".

    When I check the system.
    It says CPU: not available
    RAM: Not available
Usually, he'd RAM: 2.00 GB (or something like that, but I'm sure it was 2 GB)

For any help or suggestion would be nice. I searched a lot on Google but couldn't find answers that work.

    Thank you
    Daoping (not my real name)

Thanks for the reply anyway but,

Until I received this message. I reformatted my computer.

    Thank you.

  • Computer memory virtual is increased from 6 to 8 GB and now vm fails to power on with the error massage not enough resources to meet the HA failover, attached screenshot

Computer memory virtual is increased from 6 to 8 GB and now vm fails to power on with the error massage not enough resources to meet the HA failover, attached screenshot

The message is usually due to the Admission HA and reservations control configuration memory set on one or more virtual machines. With the default configuration HA calculates the sizes of slot based on the memory and CPU. Any reserve on a virtual machine could increase the size of the slot and lead to fewer available seats. What you can do is either to reduce (or eliminate) reservations about the VM (s) or set admission control to a percentage rather than the host failures tolerated.

  • Satellite P100 PSPA3A does not start

My son P100 (model no PSPA3A - 17E00P) does not start when you press the START key. I tried to start with and without the battery, but all that happens is the operation turns upward (as do the lights of Harmon/Kardon speakers) for a second, but no fans, disks or such beginning at the same time. THE HARD drive light is not going on either.

    Clues?

This could be due to many things.

Try reinstalling the RAM or different combinations of RAM.
Then remove the battery and AC power for a few minutes and plug it back in that hide them.
If all else fails, it may be a faulty motherboard or video card or cpu.

  • Why Satellite Pro A300 does not start when you press the power button?

Suddenly my new Satellite Pro A300 does not start correctly when you press the power button. The situation is the following: when I press the power button is displayed the opening of Toshiba (Leading Innovation) and the disappers image quickly. Then there is a black screen for about 30 seconds. There is a rectangular frame with the text Microsoft Corporation under. And nothing happens however long wait.

In order to get with the trial starting I then shut down the computer by pressing the power button until the computer turns off. ("The hard way to close")
Now, I press the power button shortly to turn on the computer. Then, the computer starts normally with the photo to open Toshiba and after a few seconds, I wonder to open the computer in safe mode or in normal mode. I now choose to open in normal mode and the computer opens normally and is ready to work.

What should I do to get a normal departure procedure?

When the laptop starts normally (after choosing normal mode) stop your laptop properly using START > shut down option. Next launch should be normal.

When the OS is moving towards the low irregularly will always ask you how to start this new (secure or normal mode).
The same thing happen on my Satellite A300.

  • Satellite P100-257 does not work with the new drive HARD WD SATA II 320 GB

Please could someone knows how to solve my problem.
I bought new HARD drive to upgrade my Toshiba Satellite P100-257:
Western Digital SATA II WD3200AAKS 320 16 MB
(Originally was installed Toshiba MK6034GSX 60 GB HARD drive)
When installing Windows XP (from Toshiba disk recovery or all other disks), when the Installer starts copying the files to the temporary directory HDD (after HDD format) encounter a problem like "cannot write files to the HARD drive.
I tried to format the drive before installation (even to split to 2 smaller logical drives).
Also I have updated the BIOS at 2009-03-04.
    But nothing changes.
    What is the problem?

    Hello

It seems that the HARD drive has been recognized because you can receive the error message about the Master Boot Record.

I think that there is something wrong with the partitions on the HARD disk.
I put t know how you formatted the HARD drive, but I think that you must first reinstall the operating system on a partition in order to check the functionality of the HARD drive.

Once you have started using the Windows XP disk, try to create more than one partition and this format to NTFS. Then follow the installation of the OS!

  • Not enough resources to meet the level of HA failover in the cluster in data center

    Hi guys,.

We just migrated our ESX 4 clusters to a new VirtualCenter (version of Base 2.5 - & gt; 2.5U4), and one of the clusters is showing «insufficient resources to meet the HA...» "error message.

First of all - is it possible to refine what host is at the origin of the problem (or VC), or is it a real issue with ability?

I followed some VMTN articles to avoid the usual bugs: -.

    • Ensure all host FQDN, and domain names are lowercase in VC - home | Configuration | DNS and routing

    • Make sure while tiny in/etc/hosts, sysconfig, /etc/vmware/esx.conf and/proc/sys/kernel/hostname on all 4 hosts.

    • Deactivated / reactivated HA on the cluster

    • Looked into the VC vpxd*.log the period of time during which HA was past - but don't know what to look for?  There are a few warnings such as:

      • Warning 'Local' 5940] FormatField: optional unset (vim.event.VmUuidAssignedEvent.vm)

      • "VpxProfiler" 2752 WARNING] InvtHostSyncLRO::StartWork took ms 2203

      • Warning 'Local' 6032] FormatField: optional unset (vim.event.HostDasErrorEvent.message)

      • "PropertyJournal" 5380 WARNING] ERProviderImpl & lt; BaseT & gt; : _GetChanges: global version name overflow host-600

      • .. .etc

There are 4 hosts in the cluster - and capacity seems ok.  I watched [doc ability vmwarewolfs | ] http://www.vmwarewolf.com/HA-failover-capacity/ [ ], but am not sure that I totally understand it.

    4 guests look like:

    1 - 32 GB RAM (22 in use) / 17600 Mhz CPU (5548 current usage)

    2 - 64 GB RAM (31 in use) / 17600 Mhz CPU (7661 current usage)

    3 - 32 GB RAM (18 in use) / 17600 Mhz CPU (4210 current usage)

    4 - 64 GB RAM (20 in service) / 17600 Mhz CPU (7440 current usage)

How can I work if there are really insufficient resources or is it a bug that will be bypassed by creating a new cluster and migrate more hosts in maintenance mode?

    Thanks for your time guys!

    Dan

You have all vms with a high reserve (memory or cpu)? If so, this can cause the HA being too conservative admission control algorithm. The guide of availability of vSphere for details on the algorithm of "slot" - http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40/vsp_40_availability.pdf, especially pages 13-16. Some of the mentioned options are only available in vSphere 4, but the basic mechanism is also applicable to the VC 2.5.

VC 2.5 does not expose the details of accommodation through the user interface as vSphere 4, but you can get some information in the vpxd newspaper. Try the power on a virtual machine (you should get an error message on failover insufficient capacity) and look in the logs of vpxd for 'Housing news' - the following lines should have a few details - download those to this topic if you need help their deciphering.

  • Not enough resources to meet the level of failover configured for vSphere HA

I have a cluster of vSphere based 5.0 based on ESXi 5 knots 2.

When I try to start a virtual machine, I get an error saying that there is "insufficient resources to meet the level of failover configured for vSphere HA.

If I turn off an another VM the problem disappears and I can turn on my VM.

If I try to turn on the virtual machine, I have already turned off, I get the error again.

It seems obvious that there is a lack resources or some setting is misconfigured, but even after reading the forums and manuals, I am unable to locate the critical resource or parameter that is not correct.

Based on my experience or vSphere server and ESXi servers are overloaded.

I have an another similar cluster of hosting a larger number of virtual machines with no similar problem.

This performance counter and this setting should check to identify the bottleneck?

    Concerning

    Marius

To check reservations for virtual machines, I would select the Cluster in your vCenter inventory, then select the resources"" tab.  Which displays the child objects of the bunch (VMs, Resource Pools, vApps).  There you can watch settings of CPU resources and memory.  You'll want to watch the column of "Reserves".

To find the size of the slot and places available, look at the tab "Summary" of your cluster.  There is a tile marked "vSphere HA.  In this mosaic, there will be a link for "Advanced Runtime Info" which will open a new window with the location information.

When the Admission AP policy is set to "Number of failures of host cluster will tolerate", HA has a very pessimistic view of your resources, since it must be able to handle all the possibilities.

Another option would be to change the admission control strategy in settings of Cluster HA to "percentage of resources reserved for failover.  It reserves a part of the resources for use by HA in the case of a failover, rather than trying to calculate the size of the individual virtual machines.  With a 2 cluster nodes, I think it a relatively safe bet to set these values to 50%, as your worst case scenario HA would be losing a single host on 2.

  • Satellite P100-240 - does not start correctly

I write on behalf of a friend who has this problem, we don't have contact via mobile text :( I am not able to immediately provide all the answers that you are looking to solve this problem.

    Hello

    The laptop (P100-240) turns off while playing a game there since 2 days, then the following issues have been experianced;

Loading windows in normal mode in instant blue screen (unavilable specific info) results. Windows in normal mode has not been accessed since the beginning of this problem.
Loading windows in safe mode worked for a while, but internet allowed access in blue screen, for a period of time this problem solved itself, safe mode does more work to my knowledge.
The Visual display permanently distorted, similar to the effect matrix. I don't know if this effect is passive, or only during windows startup, details on what it looks like, or something very specific.
A blue screen mentioned the file nv4_mini.sys is a nvidia notebook driver file, as I know. An update of the healed nothing gfx driver.

The current situation is the total lack of access to the office, I think that it a blue screen after the Welcome screen. I don't know what the blue screen said atm, but disabling the BIOS memory options has been recommended by something... I don't know if the option is even available for system bios p100-240 s, Googling this problem came with references to disable video caching and shadowing of the options in the bios that the definition of options memory BIOS, and that these options do not always exist.

However, my diagnosis is that the video card is just fried:(qui serait un problème encore plus grave qu'un logiciel ou options problème dans la mesure où une solution rapide et simple.)

Solutions, tips or questions? I am struggling to find and give useful advice, and the situation in detail learning is also delicate.

A clean registry has been done so far, a virus scan has been made, a system restore has been done, did an update the video card driver and a bios update has been done. In this order, what relevance that has.

    Help? :\

I've seen similar problems on the internet, but once it was a virtually identical problem with the same model of laptop.

Safe mode now work again, registry cleaned again, updated drivers again, nothing. Better than it was originally when he worked, other than pink points travelling across the display screen:------.
