Problem with often increase GPU to high temperature (over 100 ° C) using sensors applet to check.

    I guess that's a BIOS and a driver problem.

Windows 7 x 64 I don't have this problem with the latest nvidia driver (using speedfan to check the temperature)

I tried to Flash the bios with the latest version => _Update.exe BD1_BIOS (V4.80) version 4.0, I actually and all flashing same mistake you Error - 121. update of DXE etc...

While the .exe to extract the contents of the flash on your c:\tmp I'll try a bios flash with a bootable usb key and phlash.exe with the BD13C43. WPH.

The problem is to find the phlash.exe official back... Phoenix does not provide such tools ;(

I understand the need of simple bios flash on windows... but I don't understand the .iso missing for flashing at the start when the operating system does not match...

Toshiba has offered traditional old BIOS updated (diskette), a long time ago. Now you can find WIN updates only.
You can try to contact the closest service Toshiba and ask if they have traditional BIOS update.

  • Satellite P100-473 - suddenly the screen turns black

    Hello

Since a few days, I have a problem with my Satellite P100-473 (with Vista Home installed recently + teamspeak only) after you have installed the latest version of Nero (maybe a detail)
and do not know how, all of a sudden the screen went black.
I so reboot and still black but the laptop properly started, the screen is activated (light up/down).
I'm trying not to switch the display on an external monitor (VGA and DVI) no signal.
I remove the battery for a few minutes.

After a lot of irritation I gave it a week, I am again yesterday and after two tests display return with an error (such as a debug message), I forgot to note due to the excitement... ten minutes later same problem again:'(.)
Yesterday before restarting the screen, I wait to start completely > type my password > sound > wait a minute > and type ESC / enter key at random.

Can you please help me to find the source of this problem and maybe the solution to solve?

Thank you very much for your future assistance, I hope you understand my pathetic English
    Best regards

    Hello

Wait. You said you use external LCD and an external LCD related to this laptop.
Do you use an external monitor Samsung, and maybe have you installed MagicTune software on your laptop?
    Please check this box.

As far as I know software Samsung MagicTune can permanently disable the integrated computer Toshiba LCD display screen. Why?
Because the MagicTune software is designed for use with desktop computers that do not have a built-in LCD screen.
If your integrated LCD display has been disabled by the MagicTune software, you will need to make an arrangement for repair with a Toshiba authorized Service partner.

But I hope that you have not installed this software.

  • Re: Satellite P100-286 - I need a new battery

I think my battery on my P100-286 is at the end of his life (2 years) and must be replaced, but there are 2 types of battery that can use my laptop.
    PA3479U-1BRS-4400mAH or PA3480U-1BRS-6000mAH.

Can someone explain the difference between them except the price?

I agree with Flimovic. Battery with 6000mAH.is better because it has a larger capacity.
And you can no longer run on battery.

  • Satellite P100 (PSPAOC-O6XO2C) - can I upgrade RAM?

Is this possible with my model?

I want to load Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred 10 and 1 GB of Ram needed. I only have 512.

    Noella salvation,

Of course you can upgrade the RAM. As far as I know that Satellite P100 can be upgraded up to 4 GB of RAM. For example, you could buy two modules with 1 GB of capacity. Then you have a maximum of 2 GB of RAM.

You can buy new RAM modules where you want, but I have good experiences with the Kingston modules. I always use them to improve my books because I never had a problem with them.

  • On my Satellite P100-347 cooling fan runs all the time

    Hello

I think I might have a problem with the fan on my Satellite P100-347. He seems to be constantly works constantly and is much stronger than when I bought the computer. Initially he just spent and if so, I think that this could now be wrong.
    Help, please.

    Hi Beata

I agree with the suggestions of Sanremo; He s I don't known how old your laptop has but from time to time it of necessary to clean the cooling fans. Dust and debris inside the laptop could prevent the cooling modules work properly!
The fresh air flow is also very important. Don't forget that there is enough free space around the laptop. Do not use the laptop on the lap or in the bed. In this case the laptop cannot be cooled in the right way and the high temperature can damage parts such as GPU to the Board of Directors.

But if you think that there is a serious hardware problem you must contact the service provider authorized in your country.

Good luck and greetings to Poland ;)

  • Satellite P100 - 194 defective Contact on the main power connector

    Hello

Two and a half years ago, I bought my Satellite P100-194. Yesterday, I noticed that I can't use my cell phone on my diet. At first, I thought power has left his job, so I opened it. Today, I checked the entire power supply with a voltmeter. It still seems to work, it gives me twenty-six volts at idle.

After that I checked the connector of my diet and I noticed that it seems not hold very tight in the case of the laptop. So I think that my connector has a contact in loose / faulty.
After that I googled to find some people with the same problem and it was written that Toshiba may fix this loose contact by changing the whole motherboard for about three hundred Euros.
Due to the fact that I am a student, I don't have that kind of money.

Have you any advice for me to get my laptop working again?
Or do you think I have a quite different problem?

    Thank you
    Bastian

    Thank you

    null

    Hello

In my opinion, you should visit the nearest Toshiba service provider. Explain the situation and perhaps, they will be able to solve this problem without Exchange of motherboard.
Maybe they'll just resolder the connections.

Talk with them. Be just cool and pleasant. Maybe your charm will help you. ;)

    HP G72-227wm laptop
    WIN 7
    Pentium Dual Core CPU
    64 bit OS.

Has had HD failure, could perform a recovery. Contacted HP and ordered the recovery of disk.
Drive arrived today, buy a new HD as well as a battery.
Put the new HD and the battery in the computer and disc 1 of the set of recovery disks.
Start the computer, brought windows loading, the Recovery Manager, then came...

WARNING: Your computer is running on battery. This process requires the computer to be connected on current alternative. Connect your computer to the current alternative. and then click OK to continue.

Of course the computer is plugged, I changed the Socket 3 times. When the power is disconnected there is no light next to the AC port. Supply port, then orange white light.
HP tech says it's because that its battery CHARGE.
side note - after being on the charger, the light is now constant white. Assuming that the new battery is now completely charged.* *.

I tried the following sequences with the tech:

Unplug > take out battery > connect the PC with 1 disk of all recovery > reboot > same caveat:

Unplug > out battery > pressed the power button on battery for 40 seconds > reinsert the battery > connect the PC with 1 disk of all recovery > reboot > same caveat:

After a considerable time on the phone, the tech said that my computer is obsolete and are no longer usable by HP and advised to take it to a local computer store.

It wasn't a problem before the failure of the HD. I hope someone can help.

    Thank you

In fact, it was the power cord. I took it to the local Micro Center, they plugged the cord in and out we went. So for $ 38 on the recovery.

  • Touchpad problem - running on battery power, does not work when it is connected.

Laptop Toshiba with Vista. The Synaptics touch pad battery power works fine. When it is plugged in, it freezes.  Disconnect the power supply and back to the battery and everything is fine.  That's happened?  How can I get the touchpad to work in both modes of power?

I played with power options, and there is nothing specific to the touchpad.  Setting the power of USB has no effect either. This laptop (Toshiba A505 series) is up-to-date with all service packs, etc.

    Hi mravitz,

You need to maybe uninstall and reinstall the Synaptics drivers installed on the system.

Uninstall and reinstall the Synaptics drivers.

    a. Click Start, point to settings and then click Control Panel.

    b. double-click system click on hardware and then click Device Manager.

    c. expand the device, and then double-click the Synaptics driver.

    d. click on the driver tab and click on uninstall

    e. restart the computer and check
