Hello

Thank you
Neo-Tech
Hey Buddy,
I think that the big, nothing has changed. They just made some improvements for the power settings and a few small bugs in the bios have been resolved, but nothing really interesting.
Unfortunately they officially Don t give any information so I can just guess. ;)
Welcome them
P.S.: Maybe you should googled around and check some other forums. Maybe some users in other instances have more information about changes to the bios for you...
See you soon

Satellite P200 - 157 BIOS update failed - need help
Hello

My son decide without asking me, upgrade the bios of motherboard with the VICTORY of 1.70 he downmloaded on the Toshiba download server. He started the update in windows mode.
Unfortunalety, the upgrade stopped during the backup previous version. The laptop was frozzen. It never boot from the problem of the tha.
I'm tying to create a crisis, but recovery disk it of seem to exist different versions of PHLASH16. EXE.Do any of you know if crisis mode-recorery is available for laptop P200?
What version of PHLAS16. EXE is required and in what mode the disk has to be create (native DOS mode)?I bought a USB external floppy drive and try the last days, but unsuccefully.
Kind regards. Yves (France).
Hi dude
That s a pity :(
The update of the BIOS is always a tricky process and there is always a small piece of risk.
Usually, if the BIOS update has failed then you need a help of a technician of the ASP.The point is that you would need an update of the traditional BIOS to reflash the chip for the BIOS again.
But the Toshiba driver page provides only the victory of the BIOS which can be updated only from Windows OS-based.Therefore, you will need to contact a local ASP which might help you.
Dude good luck

Satellite P200-144: Touchpad works does not after Microsoft Windows Update
Hello
I have a Satellite P200-144 and since I installed a new Synaptics driver provided for me through Windows Update the touchpad did not work.
I tried to roll back the driver, re - install a new installation of a driver Alps (as suggested by a messsage on board), but this has no effect. I tried to revert to a previous state of the system, but this fails to happen.
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium that came with the noteboos when I bought a few months ago. I also went in the settings in the control panel and none of the settings work - help!
Someone has it has happen to them, or does anyone know of a fix for this?
Kind regards
Chris
Hello
a quick and efficient solution would be to backup your data on an external (DVD, USB - HDD, etc.) to recover your machine and then to AVOID such Windows updates, as this driver IS not native drivers from the manufacturer. Just install the drivers supplied by toshiba, since they act on your machine.
Unfortunately I have Don t have another solution for you, then it would be best to try this method and give a quick answer if it worked.

Installation of Satellite P200-144 recovery disk problem
Model Satellite P200-144 PSPBGE
Hi all
Today I received a 2nd recovery disk mail via UPS directly at Arvato distribution GmbH
Yet once there not in the exact same place as the 1st disk that I received but returned and they replaced.
My original recovery disk was lost around the House 3 months back, which I am now myself kicking on.
Reason for restoring factory default settings was that I wanted my pc to be clean like a cell phone factory default as it was full of registry errors. In any case on the problem, after that 67% of image recovery happens with the corrupted file, here is the installation proc.

Is there a reverse this problem?
My thoughs is that the image is corrupt. The error that you declare, is a fault with the Vista disk image cannot be applied to the hard drive.
Which you used 2 recovery discs of different product, which would indicate that there is not support for product recovery but a defective hard drive, possibly bad sectors on the hard disk.
If the laptop is in it duration of warranty, then give Toshiba a call for the book on deposit for a repair of the equipment.

Satellite P200-144 - lost profile user & Running very, very slowly
Hi, please excuse my explaniation below, but I'm not very technical interest and need help?
I have a Satellite P200-144 curries in Sep 07 was bought for my college courses. I listened to a CD of night via windows media player. CD proceeded to freeze and then I got an error message something in the sense of "windows media player database corrupted", then the machine stops. When it restarts itself, my user profile and associated parameters have disappeared (as well as my documents, music, photsos etc.). Once the machine booted, I log in under my usual profile, but he told me that my profile would not load correctly and I've been signed by using a temporary profile? In addition, the machine seems to have trouble doing anything at any great speed; each individual operation is taking an absolute age... to open the internet browser is as slow as dial-up almopst and I am supposed to have high-speed broadband! The machine makes a quiet rattling noise that was not previously; someone suggested maybe it's my hard drive?
On the advice of the internet and others, I tried the following:
Creating a new user and copy my user data-error message back sying this did not succeed.
Twp machine restoring previous dates separated - "error unidentified" who did not do so.Please help... anyone?
> The machine makes a quiet rattling noise that was not previously. someone suggested maybe it's my hard drive?
Hmm, HARD drive failure is possible... maybe some bad sectors in the partition or HARD drive, however, this is only speculation and a new installation of operating system from the recovery CD would be necessary and advisable to ensure that this is not a HARD drive problem.Of course you should backup you files and important data because this procedure would format the HARD drive.
I know it's a radical procedure, but it is necessary to make sure if the problem is hardware or software associates.
Good luck and best regards

Satellite P200 (PSB0E) - BIOS crashed
Unfortunaly, I have crash of the bios for my laptop.
I downloaded crisis recovery disk tools and I'm looking for the correct version of phlash16 tfor the Toshiba Satellite P200 to create the disc.
Help me please!
Hello!
Updates to the BIOS on the Toshiba site are only Windows based so I think that it of not possible recovery BIOS yourself or flash in DOS mode.
The only solution I see right now is a professional help from an ASP. Technicians can try to reflash the ROM module
Here, you can search an ASP:

Satellite P200-144 never stop correctly using Vista Ultimate
Recently made a regeneration of my P200-144. Used with Vists Home recovery disk. Then upgraded to Vista Ultimate. After it was sold went to the web site of toshiba for the latest drivers and decided to update the bios.
To restart the laptop is it never shutdown properly. Left with no other choice it off (left by logging out of the screen).
Now computer laptop won't do anything. Is it possible to get the bios to boot / restore or do I need to reach a support centre.
Hmm, looks a little more that the BIOS update failed? :|
Usually, in such situation the ASP help is necessary. But before contact you the ASP and will be sent to this device on the balance I would recommend removing the battery and disconnect the laptop power adapter.
Then wait about 20 min, then reconnect both sides and try to start the laptop. If you won't be successful then the help of ASP is required
Good luck

Hello
I have a satellite pro m30 and I would like to make a bios update. Utility hardware Toshiba says that my bios version is 1.4. The existing updates see 1.2, 1.6, but it says nothing about 1.4.
Should I take 1.6?
Any help?
Thank you
Hello
It might be possible that the BIOS version 1.4 is the version of BIOS default manufacturer for this model.
In my opinion you should take the 1.6 version because it is the most recent and it may be necessary!
Here is the link: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
go to Support & Download - Download BIOS - choose your M30 SP and click for the Description of BIOS for more information!Bye Bob

TR/agent.1220467 detected as I ran that Satellite A100 PSAA2E BIOS update file
I was about to update my BIOS Toshiba laptop Satellite A100 PSAA2E on-site official (I downloaded the update file and unpacked to run it):
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_b * ios.jsp? service = EU
When my antivirus (Avira Antivir Personal) has detected a TR/agent.1220467Of course, I stopped everything, asked to remove, Avira have another full scan, it was deleted again and restarted my PC.
I am always very careful with what I download, but as I trusted blindly the official site of Toshiba as being safe, I don't run a virus scan on the file update and stupidly flat it once it has been downloaded.
HOW CAN TOSHIBA HAVE INFECTED FILES TO UPDATE HIS SITE? This is really unacceptable. And now how I will:
1. ensure that this virus is gone for good?
2. switch to update my BIOS knowing that it is not safe to do?Please help me!
.. .and make sure that this file to update the BIOS is not infecting hundreds of other users!Hello
Don t worry buddy there is no virus
The BIOS file is safe and I guess that your virus scan recognized the file as a virus because of the similar application proceduresFirst of all you should not update your BIOS if your laptop works well!
Second, you must disable all 3 rd party applications like virus, firewall, malware, software software of scans, while the BIOS update!
These tools can affect or interrupt the process of updating the BIOS and the laptop cannot! You know that the update of the BIOS is a sensitive technique and if something goes wrong during the update, then you will not be able to power the device!

Hi all
I have a question about updating the bios on my Satellite. I got it off ebay a few months back, reinstalled the OS and now try to update the drivers, bios, firmware dvd - rom etc.
I tried to download the update of the bios for my laptop (PSP26E-02V79EN) and according to the toshiba site, the latest available bios is version 1.10. It is very strange, as the bios I have installed is version 1.4. It's what the real Phoenix bios and the Toshiba Diagnostic tool says. How can this be?
Also, does anyone know if it is possible to reflash the bios with the original bios Toshiba, rather than the one Phoenix? If so, could you please tell me how?
Thank you very much
Hello
I have P20 over two years, and I've never updated the BIOS so far. The device works without problem. It is not necessary to install the new BIOS just if you find that some update is available.
You are right about the BIOS on P20. This is Phoenix one. As far as I know, it can not be exchanged with Toshiba one. If you want more information about this, contact the customer Service of your country partner.
Please check the last BIOS update on http://www.toshiba-tro.de/subpage/bios.html
