Satellite P200 (PSB0E) - BIOS crashed

Unfortunaly, I have crash of the bios for my laptop.

I downloaded crisis recovery disk tools and I'm looking for the correct version of phlash16 tfor the Toshiba Satellite P200 to create the disc.

Help me please!

Hello!

Updates to the BIOS on the Toshiba site are only Windows based so I think that it of not possible recovery BIOS yourself or flash in DOS mode.

The only solution I see right now is a professional help from an ASP. Technicians can try to reflash the ROM module
Here, you can search an ASP:

Good bye

None of the browsers only freeze or you get a blue screen?

Have you noticed the behavior even if you use another application like Word, Excel, some Windows games or something similar? This occur using only browsers?

I have Satellite P200 too and after 2 years of use still works well.
To be honest I've never heard that someone is looking to fix at 18 months. It can be fixed, or you need professional with that help until the warranty is valid.

    Hi dude

    That s a pity :(
The update of the BIOS is always a tricky process and there is always a small piece of risk.
Usually, if the BIOS update has failed then you need a help of a technician of the ASP.

The point is that you would need an update of the traditional BIOS to reflash the chip for the BIOS again.
But the Toshiba driver page provides only the victory of the BIOS which can be updated only from Windows OS-based.

Therefore, you will need to contact a local ASP which might help you.

    Dude good luck

  • Satellite P200 - updated BIOS fail to step 3

Then I thought, I have to keep my computer up to date. So I tried to update the BIOS. BIOS update remained stuck for 3 hours at some stage 3. The computer does not restart now, not even a configuration screen. DEAD

I read somewhere that you can make a USB bootable flash BIOS recovery. Then use some combination of keys that is, Fn or Fn and B W (don't remember). Can someone give me a step by step guide where to download the software, right to the recovery of my BIOS and the machine?

I don't have to pay fees to have my PC works again as it was working perfectly before this upgrade attempt. I have nothing wrong.

    Thank you

    I have ocso4m pspb6a model (model AU)

    Hi spiralvista,

    > I read somewhere that you can make a USB bootable flash BIOS recovery
Yes, I have read on these discussions here in the forum but it doesn t always work and there is no official support for this procedure. Everything you do with these BIOS recovery tools arrive at your own risk and in the worst cases you could destroy the whole ROM module.

Best option would contact an authorized service provider because the guy may have professional tools to reflash the ROM module where the BIOS is stored. Then you should get in touch with the guy and ask for help. They can also tell you how much it will cost.

I'm sorry that I can't give another t you not answer but here it s a user forum to only where you can talk with normal people like you and me no one of Toshiba here ;)

  • Satellite L500 - update BIOS crash

    Hello

I tried to update my BIOS on my laptop because he suggested on Tempro, and now I wish I had not bothered.

My laptop has now been updated for 3 hours at the programming stage 3 stage 37 on BIOS flash and is frozen it will not do anything.
I know that I should not turn it off, but that gave it a try and even that would not work.

It's just sitting humming and I do not know what to do with it.

    Any ideas would be great

    Thank you

    Hello

    > My laptop has now been updated for 3 hours at the programming stage 3 stage 37 on BIOS flash and is frozen it will not do anything.

The update of the Bios takes several minutes to complete. It looks like that the Bios goes wrong the failure process. If you stop, you will get a blank screen. I even do not know what to advise you. You can wait, but I don't think it ends well.

The bad news is that you have to go to ASp (SAV) and ask them to reflash for money. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee for non-Bios

P.S.: Maybe you should googled around and check some other forums. Maybe some users in other instances have more information about changes to the bios for you...

I downloaded the new version of the bios of Toshiba-Europe Web site (v2.30) and I tried to use the Crisis_Recovery_Disk but no result. :(

  • Satellite P200 - BIOS did not recognize my usb 3.5 drive "

    Hello
I have a few years ago:
    Satellite P200-1FY
    Reference: PSPB6E-0QR035FR

I just bought a new hard drive WD20EARS (2 TB) 64 MB of RAM,
and I connected on an external box<-> SATA USB3 (closed hot 'cc'), so plugin on my toshiba via USB (USB2.0 card)

    I partitioned the drive with 2 parts (1 part FAT32 (enabled): 930KB and 1 NTFS 1, 89 GB)

    * My problem is :*
I am not able to detect the drive by the bios (bios updated with 2.7 "bios - 20110124131826.zip"), in order, starting with partition FAT32)

    tests I've already done :*
    (1) connect this drive (WD20EARS) on a PC: HP 6530--> result b: drive is detected by the bios, it is impossible to boot the disk
and the operating system is started correctly

    (2) plug in sametime a usb2 startup key and the disc--> result: WD20EARS disc is displayed on the selection of the bios (sometimes)
but it is impossible to start on it. When I select the drive, the USB is booting

Could you help me find the problem (bios, disk or box usb3) or have you updated to solve

    Kind regards

    Stand by.
BIOS cannot detect the external HARD drive? You want to start OS saved on the external HARD drive? Is this correct?

Tests 1 and 2 are related to this HP laptop?

  • Satellite P200 BIOS password request

    Hi all

My Satellite P200 worked perfectly under Vista but I need to install XP for some applications to work.
I followed the instructions Toshiba installed upgrading necessary BIOS and now for some reason any my cell phone requests a password to the power upward.

I never put a password, am not aware of everything.

As I said never come before, after the update of the bios.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Matt

I have no idea why the password has been set after BIOS update, but I know that a BIOS password cannot be rid of the Toshiba laptop without additional assistance from EPA.

So, if it's a BIOS password, then you really must ask ASP for the removal of the password

  • Wrong driver BIOS on my Satellite P200 (PSPBG)

I have download a bad WOOD driver on my laptop. This make the window that appears at the opening of this one and when I tried to download the update, he said that it was an error to execute. As the update is not for the current driver to use.

I therefore call for this driver to download and how to make an update for it.

There is also another issue: the 'FN' key does not work before what happened to WOOD.

    Waiting for your help.

    Hello

I'm scared of m I didn't understand your question exactly.

You said that you downloaded a wrong BIOS driver? :|
I assume you mean the BIOS.

The European Toshiba page provides BIOS for Satellite P200 (PSPBG).
I checked the page driver and now the BIOS version 1.70 - WIN is available which was released on 13/09/07

This package contains a setup.exe. You can start the update of the BIOS, run this file.
    But please the following:

    -Portable is in stand-alone mode.
-Laptop is plugged into the mains.
-Laptop computer must be in boot mode and not recovery mode.
    -Remove all PC cards.

That s is very important to make sure that the BIOS update would work.
