  • Satellite M50D - A - 10 L - pilot missing for unknown device

You just bought a Satellite M50D - A - 10 L and after 1 week, the HARD drive failed. Of course, I had to replace on my spending, because the guarantee would be in about 2 weeks, which was too long to wait for me.
In any case, I also lost the pre-installed Windows 8.1, but is not a tragedy, because I reinstalled it and everything works well.
The problem I have I have one of the pilots is not recognized by the "Device Manager". The device is called 'Device ACPI'. Any idea which driver missing is all about?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

PS: Do not know how to attach a screenshot of "Device Manager" with missing driver...

Have you tried to identify the unknown device, through the identification of the seller and device?

  • Cannot access Windows on my Satellite P200D-139

    Evening,

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P200D-139. I am trying to format the hard drive and whenever I turn it on, it just goes right to a box of password directly after showing the Toshiba logo. The box says press F2 or F12 as normal, as I do, the password box comes in next. This isn't a password of windows, as windows does not load.

I think it's a set up / BIOS password. Any help around this would be appreciated. I have a thought of the Mike pattern to remove battery CMOS, ideas, please keep in mind that I can't enter the BIOS / or implement the page thanks a lot YES - YES.

    Please respond to my email

    [email protected]

    Hello

Yes it must be the BIOS password. In this story, it's a bit strange to me that you have on this subject.
Is your laptop or you got someone?

Is that you will not be able to have access to pre-installed Windows or option to install new windows if you don't have good BIOS password. Removal of password is not information on a public forum, so if you need assistance, you should contact Toshiba service in your country. They can remove for you.

I know removing the CMOS battery won't help you to remove the BIOS password.

  • Recovery does not start on Satellite P200D

I have a satellite P200D and I need him back due to a virus.

Now, I ordered the recovery media kit and when I want to start it it does not start. The manual said, put the DVD, restart the computer and press F12 when the massage "In Touch With tomorrow TOSHIBA" poster.

The message is not shown in the configuration and the recovery does not start.
When I press F12 at startup is also the recovery does'nt start.

    What I am doing wrong?

How can I get my laptop back?
    Any ideas?

    Hello

You must boot from the disc.
This means that you will need to insert the disc, have to turn on the device, choose ODD as boot device and this will start the recovery process.

    Try this!

  • Cannot, in the start menu, Windows XP Home on my Satellite P200D edition installation

I have Satellite P200D-12f and I got from Vista Home Premium with laptop.
When I try to install Windows XP on another partition empty, and when I try to boot the CD with Windows Xp, laptop turns off after 10 seconds.

I tried several times, but the same thing happens every time.
    Why is this happening?

I may be a protection for which I can't install anything except Vista?

Your problem is that you don't have the drivers for the SATA controller available when you move windows XP vanilla Plains. Without the SATA drivers, windows xp will not be able to see the partition that you created on the SATA drive.

Good luck, but I suggest that allow you to manage such things as you may turn your laptop a very expensive pouf your place of purchase.

  • Re: Satellite P200D - 11L: how to install Windows XP

I have a laptop Satellite P200D - 11L for about 5 months and it has preinstalled windows Vista.
    I can't stand them.
They crash every 5 minutes and they consume all my resources for no reason!
I can't run any program for my work that I used to run under XP without problem because of the incompatibility.

I just discovered that I can not play games for reasons of incompatibility.
I can play games that are very new, and of course these games play well due to lack of resources.
I'm desperate. I tried loading XP on it, but it just stops when I boot from the XP one cd will not open again.

I need to install urgent XP but I don't know how.
Please give me a few steps or a few links so I can get rid of this bad software called vista.

    Help!

    Hello

I think I know what you the problem might be.
First you must make sure that you Win XP CD contain the SP2.
I know the different problems that might appear during the installation of XP if a SP2 was not included. If you XP CD doesn't have a SP2 then use the program nLite to built your own XP CD with SP2.

In addition your P200 supports the SATA controller and you will need to install the first SATA driver (among others).
It is not very difficult. You need the Intel Matrix Storage Manger.
During XP Setup, press F6, and then you could include the the USB FDD drive SATA driver. Search this forum for more details. There are many useful discussions.

This crib of storage can be downloaded from the Intel Web site or on the European driver from Toshiba website.
Unfortunately, for Satellite P200D XP drivers are not available on the Toshiba page at the moment and I think you should try some different P200 series drivers.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P200D-139 suddenly goes to blank screen and must be restarted

    Hallo,
Have a Toshiba Notebook: Satellite P200D-139. Just reinstalled vista (because the phone was slow and glitch) and the computer has just only started going to a white screen at random, no error reports... nothing.

Works fine, once it has been rebooted, restored in safemode, updates not installed... but ran ideas.

Would be grateful for the help, thanks.

Hmmm. my laptop s screen was empty, sometimes after the activation of the standby mode.
But after restarting again, everything was OK.

I searched a bit in the forum and found people who recommended a BIOS and update the display driver.
I did this and could solve my problem

I'm, not sure if this would be useful but try this too
    It s worth a try

  • Satellite P200D Factory defaults recovery

    Hello

I post here in the name of an old man who bought a Satellite P200D-PSPBQE, S/N 28160997 K (Vista Home Premium French) who has gone through a series of problems. He cannot attend his book himself and so asked me to fix it.

The laptop has especially worked for two or three years until this summer when it has overheated (as I can judge by touching the case) and switched automatically a few times off the coast. At one point the laptop wouldn't even step to the BIOS.

Here is a rough summary of what I did then:

I began to open the case, but it seems too difficult, so I closed it back and use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust in the vents, restarted the laptop and it are returned and very well for a while. At one point, the owner of the laptop mentioned a small bug crept once out of the laptop but I don't mind at this moment.

After some time, Vista has experienced various gels (maybe explore buggy but I couldn't judge I never looked in the event viewer that I had no idea what kind of help the EV could bring until very recently). I thought that this could be due to the many automatic switchoffs who listens to the Vista system files. I ran sfc/scannow, who pointed out a few errors, but cannot fix them. Yet it is not attached to the gel. I stuff ready for the usual save the data/reinstall vista and drivers/restore cycle data.

On the recovery discs: I asked the owner for all Toshiba drives, but it didn't, not even the recovery disk based 100MB.

I thought that automatic recovery of factory default partition existed but that he could not find its start-up in the manuals coming with the laptop. I was curious and thought, Hey, I'll start the recovery partition myself with a boot partition tool. I ran the Partition Magic CD reported contradictory of the partitions on the first drive, which prompted me to repair it with suggested partition table values: I stupidly pressed Yes and then not really started (or so I think). I couldn't see any recovery partition only two 80 GB system partitions, and data were present. A race of Ranish Partition confirmed it.

Yet, I tried to turn on the laptop while pressing '0' at the same time, as stated in some tech forums but it didn't not start any recovery procedure at all.

I could not find the recovery disk creator in the menu program so I downloaded and it started and it reported, no partition recovery not found.

As I found myself helpless without any recovery solution (I had not heard backupmedia.toshiba.eu) I downloaded a copy of Vista of P2P (Yes, it's bad, but I was impotent). This laptop has two hard drives of 160 GB, of which the second was not used. I exchanged the places of two readers, installed Vista using the product key from COA to empty disk. I installed the display driver and the retrospective data is restored and the laptop is back on the spot two, running OK, but still from time to time of freezing.

Finally, I decided to call the assistance of Toshiba in France who reported to me on the backupmedia.toshiba.eu site where I can order recovery disks.

_Before I order backup disks I have a few questions: _

Can I open the case and do a thorough cleaning of any dust remaining/bugs/etc? (I guess that the answer is Yes) Are there instructions for that?

Maybe hit the cpu overheating. Should I run a test of cpu and which?

Overheating may have affected the memory modules. Running Windows Memory Test enough or do I run Memtest 3.x or later version to check the memory sticks?

Is there really a recovery partition on the hard drive of this series (P200D-PSPBQE) system? If Yes and given the Partition Magic probably changed only the partition table, is there a way to restore the original partition table values and thus to restore access to the recovery partition? That would save me the trouble to order backup discs.

backupmedia. Toshiba.EU offers you to order a backup for 35 euros drive about it's a drive to restore default factory containing Vista, drivers and tools, or just the basic restore disk that starts (currently absent) recovery partition? In the second case, how to restore the laptop to original factory settings?

Thank you for reading this far, sorry for any English mistakes and thanks in advance for any input,
    Eric Ivanov,
    Grenoble, France

    > Should I open the suitcase and do a thorough cleaning of any dust remaining/bugs/etc? (I guess that the answer is Yes) Are there instructions for that?

I wouldn't recommend disassemble the laptop. This should be done by a mobile technician who knows what to do if you want to remove dust or debris from cooling vents, I would recommend using a jet of compressed air and you may suck dust.

    > Overheating may have touched the cpu. Should I run a test of cpu and which?
Perhaps this is possible, given that the laptop is two years (or more) and during this time, a lot of dust might collect inside the cooling modules.

    > Overheating may have affected the memory modules. Running Windows Memory Test enough or do I run Memtest 3.x or later version to check the memory sticks?
A higher temperature can affect all parts of the laptop also memory, it was the case in my old notebook. BSOD was always because the memory could not be cooled. But I doubt that memtest would help you if the higher temperature would affect modules

You cannot restore the HARD drive recovery partition. If you are not able to start the HARD drive recovery (pressing F8-> fix my computer-> HD recovery), you must order the disk from Toshiba Web page.

    > backupmedia.toshiba.eu offers you to order a backup for 35 euros drive about it's a drive to restore default factory containing Vista, drivers and tools, or just the basic restore disk that starts (currently absent) recovery partition? This s recovery disc that contains the image of Toshiba. Toshiba is a package that contains the Windows operating system (Vista), drivers, tools and additional software. Simply said; This disc would fix the laptop back to factory settings.

Hope this might help a little.

  • Need help for upgrade of selecting RAM for Satellite P200D-106

Hello everyone im happy old owner of 2 hour nine Toshiba Satellite P200D 106 with the configuration put fallow:

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 X 2
    Processor model: TL-52
    FSB (MHz): 800
    RAM: 512 + 512 MB Type: DDR2 at 667 MHz

Now since I have vista on it I want to upgade 2 GB or 1 GB Ram is too little and I need recommendation on what type or Ram would be compatible with this config

I daissa a lot have to choose between set-aside:

    A - DATA 1 GB DDR2, 667 MHz PC5300 SODIMM
Kingston ValueRAM 1 GB PC5300 SODIMM
    Kingston 1 GB SODIMM DDR2-533 ValueRam PC4300 CL4 SODIMM
Geil SODIMM 1 GB DDR2, 667 MHz, retail

One of them is completely compatible with this laptop and don't give me any problems I mention that the RAM came with the laptop will be taken

PS: Also another question im thinking also buy a Toshiba back pack for my laptop to know that a PX1309E-1NCA

Does anyone have any ideas if this laptop 17 fit in this backpack without being scratched?
I mention this im intending to put the power in the front pocket.

Thanks in advance for your help.
    Happy new year!!!

I recommend get you the 2 GB RAM module with the PA3513U part number. Use this module with 512 MB, you already have and with 2.5 GB laptop should work very well.
Kingston modules are very good and it's really high-quality product. If you can't find compatible on Kingston page you can order. But as I've written before of maybe you should buy 2 GB and have better performance.

Compare prices and do what you have to buy the decision.

What about bag backpack? Check the specs and if it is designed for 17 laptops you can buy it. Sorry, but for me this issue is enough... excessive. :)

  • Re: Disk hard Satellite P200D-139 upgrading?

    Hello world

I recently got an opportunity * Satellite P200D-139 * PSPBNE-004003KS as a gift, it currently has a 80 GB hard drive, but I would like to upgrade to a larger. I searched on the net and forums, etc., but still quite confused.

can I switch to a larger HARD drive? and what is the maximum size that I can go to so...

Does anyone know also the best place for such an article...

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I don't know much Equium series, but I guess that's the sata (sata interface) controller. SATA interface, there is no limit of ability so up to 500 GB (even more) should be recognized correctly. The only thing is that BIOS should also support it.

  • Satellite P200D - black screen and does not just by running

    Hello everyone, I have a Toshiba Satellite P200D - 107 PSPBLE with configuration set-aside:

    Processor: Turion x 2 TL - 52 64-bit clocked at 1.6 Ghz
    Display: 17.3 inch
Graphics card: Ati radeon x 1200
    RAM: 2 x 512 MB ram (1 GB total) which I upgraded to 1 x 2000 MB and 1 x 512 MB (for a total of 2.5 GB)
OS: FACTORY CD WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM 32-BIT
Power: Running on the direct power without the battery cable

Although the pc is quite old sound fundamentally new barely there 1 year of normal use on it.

    PROBLEM:

The screen goes black (no), even if the screen still has the backlight running, the laptop is still under tension, but its basically in a kind of deep hibernation with the fan running yet.
The laptop screen turns off 5-10 minutes after windows loads, even if in idle, it also stops during installation of the operating system.
I tried to run the music and the music stops when the screen goes black made all the hard disk activity which I believe indicates that it is not related to the video chip.

    TRIED SO FAR:

    1. open up the computer laptop and cleaned all dust processor, now CPU temp is 50 max, even for hard disk
    2. update the bios to the original to 1.70 - did not help
3 connected external monitor also stops it the same time as the laptop screen indicating it is not not a screen issue
    4 reinstall OS several times
5 tested memory with memtest64 - no error
    6. test the hard drive with hddregenerator - no error

    What I've noticed:

If I leave just a 512 MB of ram in the laptop then the laptop stops not at all even in windows applications, tried to launch a game to remove video card and it works without problem for hours, but as soon as I add the stick of 2 GB or another origianal 512 stick it will go inside the black screen 5-10 min (or earlier) to get into windows.

He never stops in dos mode (as in memtest, hddregen) even with 2.5 GB of ram.

After that the screen goes black, if I stopped and then try to save, it it won't work at all, the screen stays black with the fan spinning and boot CD, I must absolutely disconect the power cord power and re - set before it starts again.

Anyone has any ideas, I am experienced with the pc, but have never stumbled upon something so weird that I have just can't explain this problem that came straight from heaven.

Toshiba to wake up, this forum is a total joke, you would think that you would be able to afford hiring a bunch of technicians to actually help people rather than rely on the users of the forum to do your work for your, you don't need to have a forum, if you don't have the staff to actually help people solve their problems.

  • Satellite P200D-127 - where can I get a new card of mother?

    Hello

I have a Satellite P200D-127 (part number: PSPBLE-02100LEN) which has a tired motherboard. I have a white screen when I turn on the laptop. All lights are on and I can hear the HDD spinning in life, but nothing on the screen. I have tried just about everything I can think of:

External power supply tested - no problem
HARD drive removed and put to the test - no problem
    Readability HDD tested - data
Tested display - VGA screen attached to the laptop. Still no image
Etc. of cables/connectors/motherboard tested memory for the creep of the component - reinstalled everything

Then... Any idea where I can get a replacement for this laptop motherboard? I 'Google' Satellite P200D-127 replacement motherboard (and variations of!) and I don't seem to be able to find anything.

    See you soon
    Glenn

    Hey Buddy,

I think it's pretty easy: just contact a service provider allowed in your country and ask for a replacement motherboard. They can order spare parts Toshiba and can also exchange the motherboard for you.

Here, you can search an ASP:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider

    Good luck! :)
