Recovery does not start on Satellite P200D

I have a satellite P200D and I need him back due to a virus.

Now, I ordered the recovery media kit and when I want to start it it does not start. The manual said, put the DVD, restart the computer and press F12 when the massage "In Touch With tomorrow TOSHIBA" poster.

The message is not shown in the configuration and the recovery does not start.
When I press F12 at startup is also the recovery does'nt start.

What I am doing wrong?

How can I get my laptop back?
Any ideas?

Hello

You must boot from the disc.
This means that you will need to insert the disc, have to turn on the device, choose ODD as boot device and this will start the recovery process.

Try this!

    I have a 2008 Satellite P300-150 I want to restore factory settings.

I followed the steps described in the manual of s to do it from the hard disk (F8 at startup), however, when I try, a screen will appear with a warning with the topic box"system recovery options"then below says "cannot start the installed program. Click ok to turn off the computer.

I don't know m which is better to do it now if someone could suggest another way to do this, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

The situation is quite simple to explain. Recovery image installation can be done on two tracks:
-using the HARD drive recovery or
    -using the create recovery DVDs.

I put t know if you created this disk after advice from Toshiba, but if you use for the installation of operating system.

By the way: Satellite P300 works perfectly with Win7 32 bit, so if there is a way to install do. It works much better than original Vista.

If you have any other questions you are welcome. ;)

  • Satellite L670 - the system HARD drive recovery does not start

    Hello together,

I have a problem with my laptop. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, that the laptop came with Win7 Home Premium 32 bit.
Now I want to restore the original Windows Home Premium. On the laptop is a second partition with a folder named "disk HARD recovery.

When I hold the button '0' on start nothing happens. The beginning of doesn´t of system recovery.

Can you help fix the problem.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Dinder

    Hello

This does not work because you have installed Win 7 64 bit as you said here:
    > I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, that the laptop came with Win7 Home Premium 32 bit.
But have you tried also pressing F8-> fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery?
    Try this

Otherwise, drive HARD recovery does not work because the boot manager has been changed or damaged as a result of the new install of Win 7 and this is why you cannot load HARD drive recovery.
That is why it s always recommended to create a recovery disc before changing anything on the HARD drive.

What to tell buddy you need recovery disks. I guess that you have a European model for laptop

You can order the recovery discs here:

    Hello

    I installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on my U400 PSU44E - 14 p.
I found all the drivers on the official website of Toshiba (thank you) but one in the origin of the problems: TPSMain.exe does not start when I start the computer.

Once I type my password and login, I hear a typical Windows error sound, but no message is displayed. I noticed that when you try to start the Toshiba Power Saver utility from the Control Panel, I got an error message telling me that I have enough privileges to run this utility...

    I am the administrator!

If you guys encountered the same problem and got a hint of trouble, feel free to post here. THX.

I have a Toshiba Satellite U400 and I installed Win XP too.
I have a user account administrator and Toshiba Power Saver works properly!
No problem don't like on your system!

However, in the Toshiba Power Saver Settings (installation options), you can find the option called limited allows the user to change the settings and allow different actions for each profile.

    Check that both are enabled!

If this doesn't help then reinstalling again this tool.

I am running Windows 7 on a y450 and want to restore a system backup or a factory default. I followed the video to find out how to start the system recovery:

Through the software in Windows to restart, nor from the computer by pressing the recovery button will start the computer into recovery mode - rather the computer starts just to the top as usual in Windows 7.

I have restored my BIOS to the default settings, but the y450 still does not start in recovery mode.

How can I start the computer into recovery mode? Yet once, I tried to go through the software under Windows. Just, it restarts Windows and starts as usual. I also tried to stop the laptop computer, and turn on by pressing the recovery button, but it just run Windows as usual.

  • Ran Disk - finished - Restart - Recovery does not start

I had a problem with my HP DV7 - 4069WM Notebook PC, and I was only left with one choice. Order and use the recovery disc. I got the recovery disk and it ran; Then it said that the recovery is over and it restarts. After reboot, it is, it does not start, it's just stuck on the HP logo. I have try the ESC, F keys keys #, the only feedback I get is these error noises. Help.

    Hello:

If you remove / unplug the secondary HARD drive the PC gets stuck on the home screen?

You can try to install W7 using this workaround solution.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Satellite S50-B-12Z - recovery does not start

    Hi guys.

    I have Toshiba Satellite S50-B-12Z
    I can't start the recovery.

When I press the 0 key starting system, information about recovery happens.
I answer YES to the question if I want to continue the recovery and after this system appears as normal takes just a bit longer.

What will happen? I remember I managed to enter the recovery menu once but can't remember how.

I taught maybe I deleted the partition by mistake, but partition magic shows he's still there (not used status).

Any ideas why menu recovery will not come to the top?

Hold F12 for power up to display the start menu.

If "HDD Recovery" is not found, or its load fails, this means that the recovery partition has a problem.

You can order on the site of Toshiba recovery disks.

  • Drive HARD Win 7 recovery does not work on Satellite L750

    Hello

I have the Toshiba Satellite L750 with preinstaled win 7.

I instaled the upgrade to win 8 (from dvd).

After that I improve the MS site to Win 8.1 System.

The system does not work properly (DVD is not recognized) so I have to install previuos system.

First of all, I'm improving my BIOS for the new one - 3.60.

After that I try to win 7 reinstal my HDD recovery (which is located on the d partition). But it does not work: it has been impossible to start recovering in the menu of the bios (F8 key does not work, it was only possible to press F2 or F12).

So I have to install my dvd 8.0 Win and now I have it and it works. But this is only a clear system without any addons like nero, ms office etc.

My question is how do reinstal win 7 of my hard drive recovery that I always on the d partition?
in the bios the F8 key does not work.

After clean OS installation installation of HARD drive recovery not working anymore. If you want to have the original image of recovery preinstalled on your machine, you must use recovery DVDs.
I assume that you did not create this disc, right?

In the user s manuals document clearly described how it works with the image recovery and the creation of recovery disks.

  • Display Manager does not start after Satellite A210-117 wakes up from his sleep

    Hello

I have some difficulty with a Satellite A210-117 PSAELE-00E00MFR. I installed W7 x 64 professional and display driver ATI Catalyst to Radeon HD 2400.

My graphics card appears in Device Manager as an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 with the current version of the driver 8.970.100.3000 from AMD, and I can't find a better.

So far, so good, but as soon as W7 goes into 'sleep' or 'hybrid sleep', the display manager does not re - start correctly. He keeps trying to display Windows, but finally the phone re boots.
But if I put the laptop to 'Hibernate', then he wakes up fine.

I don't know if this problem is known, because I can't find anything on the Internet on this subject independently to obtain the latest driver. Anyone an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

On the page of the Toshiba UE driver (Archive), you will find drivers for Win 7 32 bit A210.
Driver ATI 8.452 - 080109 is available too.
Its a previous version and I recommend to test the unit by using this version of the driver

  • My USB stick recovery does not start at startup...

Is anyway for me to burn another disc to restore DVD, as the USB that I did does not work.

So my other question would be is anyway to get the USB from startup to startup. I checked the content, and there factoryrecovery and start-up of 2 files. Anyone know how ot he can begin. If I can just to start I have ot burn another copy of the recovery image.

Thank you in advance. I'm having the time more difficult re - install the system on an SSD.

Is it a USB hard drive or flash drive?

If it's a flash drive, setting the active partition may leave start.  Lenovo has an Emigrated here somewhere (sorry, the search function is let me down all at the time) which describes how a preparation flash drive before creating media of relief on this subject.

I found that put asset _apres_ creating usually makes bootable - if that was the problem.

Use the command line DISKPART windows or Linux fdisk utility to set the score of the current drive.  Do not clean, or format.

[edit] It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway.  Incorrect use of any disk formatting tool can trash the disk target or any other drive in your system.  Use with caution.

If it is a hard drive that you're talking about, I don't know what to think.

  • Error with product recovery. Now, does not start. Satellite Pro A40

    Hello

I tried to use my product recovery cd to reinstall windows so that the computer is in "like -new" condition However, when you use a disk and 25% step it crashed on saying me that it couldn't read the disc. Now, when I try to boot, it says ' Please insert system disk and press a key "I do, but I just get the same message repeated. This is if I try to book it from the cd or the hard drive.

What is my next step, how can I pick up my computer!

    See you soon

Hmmm it's not easy to say why you t could not complete the installation. For me, it seems that the recovery CD is defective.

In any case, the message said that no BONES were found on the HARD drive and the laptop cannot start!
While do I think you should insert an original Windows XP CD and try to boot from the CD. The XP CD should format the HARD drive and install the new OS.

Sorry, but I put t see another possibility.

  • Satellite P200 - product recovery does not start

    Hey

I'll explain my problem as short as possible:

With my laptop, I have a recovery cd of the product, I used. After starting the laptop, I pressed f12 and select the cd/dvd in the next window. So far so good, windows began to load the files. Now, here's my problem: after loading the files, nothing happened. There was a black screen for a long time. I tried a few times, but every time the same problem.

I hope someone could help :)

    Concerning

Cottages created DVD do you use?
I put t know what the problem may be, but somehow the HARD drive first and foremost activity blocks. Maybe the disc is troublemaker.
In any case, the value of the default BIOS and test it again.

Try to get the original Microsoft installation disc and check if the installation of windows will have full access to the HARD disk.
    Please post comments.

  • Recovery does not end on Satellite L300

    Hello

    I hope you can help.
I want to restore your laptop L300 rear Factory Defaults, (XP).

I'm not able to boot to the last known good config or any Mode safe more after several virus has infected the laptop and restore points failed after antivirus packages identified as infected and them deleted among other things.

I have the Original Toshiba recovery disc and it loads fine and goes through the motions of unpacking...

... Finish on 'Remove media', and click OK. Finally clicking on leave in the application of recovery.
    Laptop powers turned off.

I re - turn on the laptop and screen flickers a couple of times, shows the windows logo and restarts. This is repeated.

    Running out of ideas...

Setting the Bios F2 look ok.

    What can I do?

    Martin

    Hello

Do not know what could cause this but I think you should start with HARD disk check.
I use a very nice freeware software called Drive Fitness Test. Use this software to check the HARD disk for a malfunction.

If the tool detects certain HARD drive problems, you must replace the software.

By the way: are you able to start Notepad using a Live CD are Knopix Live CD (Linux) or a Windows live BartPE or WinPE environment? Select this check box.
Usually the live cd is not no matter what installation you simply start from the CD in order to load the operating system.

  • Windows does not start on Satellite A50 - 110

    Hello
I have a problem with my computer toshiba laptop.
The last time that I used it I suddenly had a black screen and I could not go back to windows, so I turned it off.
Since then, I can't run Windows. When I turn on my computer, I have the Toshiba screen and then a black screen with only 'boot error operating system'. I tried pressing F8 while the Toshiba screen is in, but it is not to send me to the windows splash screen...

Does anyone knows how to solve this problem without the recovery cd? Or at least how to get all the files I had on my hard drive?

    THKS!

Theres no chance to put your system back without the recovery CD when the system behaves likey you mentioned in your ad.

You should back up your data, that's for sure.
    But how to do?

    There are several options:

-ask someone who is familiar with computers and do (it's the safest and fastest way)
-get an external 2.5 "IDE USB - HDD box, put your machine's HARD drive in the case, connect the case to another computer and copy all of your important data to that computer to another
-get an external hard drive with a previously installed HARD drive (they don t cost so much and I think that an external USB - HDD with 320 GB or 500 GB should be sufficient), and then download a live linux distribution as "Knoppix" or "Ubuntu" (just google for it), burn to CD, boot with the live linux and copy your data from your hard drive internal to the external hard drive. Just after, recovery of your machine with the recovery media and copy after the recovery of your personal/important data to your newly installed operating system.

    Hope that helps
    Welcome them

  • F11 HP recovery does not start in the recovery partition

    Hello!

I am an owner of a HP Mini 5101. It has a function to press F11 to restore the system to the State "out-of-the-box". But my problem starts here. When I press F11 I immediately get a screen that says boot Windows on top manager and and error: 0xc000000e and required device is inaccessible.

This started after I made an installation "clean" with the Windows 7 DVD that came with the computer I have tried to avoid all the "crapware" that comes with the new book.

If I boot into Windows, the HP_RECOVERY partition is visible and the image of HP recovery is about it.

Is there anyway to get the recovery of F11 back to operational status? I have a few BCD edition knowledge that help to my problem...

    Thank you very much!

    U

I thank very you much for getting back to me so quickly.

I must apologize because I did not explain my problem in the right way. Technically, I am able to the boot partition, but the problem occurs when the partition must start in WinRE or WinPE, I guess that for the recovery to start. The loading process is immediately blocked same front initially than anything "things related Windows" starts loading. So about five seconds after I turn on the computer and boot into the recovery partition, or by pressing F11 error that I have described will appear.

    Update:

I managed to solve my problem. After setting the active recovery partition and boot from the USB installation with windows 7, I managed to fix the mbr which has been altered and the score did not know what to start. So after fixing it, I had no problem to start the recovery.

    Thank you!
