Satellite P205 - S6287 Wont turn on!

Hello

Here's my problem. A few days ago while online my screen went black! I tried to move the mouse on the assumption that the thing had expired or something and nothing has worked. So I stopped hard. Yes, I don't know my best shot. However, now it won't do anything. No light, no power light comes on, even if it is connected and has the power. I checked just to be sure. When I try it lights up, the power led lights blue for a second and then turns off.

I noticed that my video card or something was happening, so I thought that might be it. but I should always get the lights right? In any case the thing video, don't know what its really called, but my image was this Green poopy color crazy.

I hope someone can help.

Thank you

Candy

Hi candy,.

Sounds like it s time for a service provider authorized now. ;)

If your laptop computer won t boot and itself stops you can do nothing because it seems to be a hardware problem, maybe the card mother, RAM or something else.

If you go to a page ASP technicians can check the laptop and fix it for you. The guys are friendly and it s still interesting to talk a bit with them.
By the way: the Toshiba Web site, you can search for an ASP.

It has the power, but that's all. Can not run the HDD, noting shows up on top of the monitor. The fan works and heats up, the screen is black, hard drive light begins to shine for only a second after the Start button / stop is pressed then turn on ever. Did someone there some problem? What could be?

Try this: remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter, wait 30 to 40 minutes and plugging the AC/DC adapter and turn on the laptop without the battery first.

  • Satellite P205-S6287 will not start.

I've had my laptop since late February 2008 and I bought it new. I put it down like I always do until I fall asleep and it worked perfectly before doing so.

I woke up this morning and I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't and restart. The Startup Repair tool returns unsuccessful, as well as the restoration of the system. He will say it was a success, then reboot and does not illuminate. He did something similar a month; I had it turned on to find that it has been restored back to factory settings. System Restore worked perfectly for this and I have not had similar problems to date.

Is that what I can do to try to fix this problem without taking it anywhere? I don't really have money to take it anywhere right now and I am in desperate need of my laptop. Thank you.

Sorry, buddy, but I'm a little confused. The laptop does not start, but you did the system restore. How to understand this?
What happen exactly when you press the power button / stop?

Did you do system restore in safe mode or what?
You can start your laptop with AC only (removed battery) power?

  • Satellite P205-S6287 - webcam only takes snapshots using Win 7

    Hello.

I recently updated my laptop from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit).
When I did, I went through the typical rigmarole of updating my drivers and reinstall some programs or games lost. What I wasn't expecting, it was for my camera to completely stop working.

I reinstalled the software of the camera, and it seemed to work until I tried to take a snapshot with the software after that. Now, the camera records video and audio recording, but it will not instant (I mainly use for).

If I click on the Snapshot button, she acts like I clicked it, but no preview image and no new photos are saved in the folder my pictures.

Any ideas? Or advice? Or help? Thank you!

    Hello

Perhaps you should again check the path to the photo folder?
Maybe the webcam records the images to another location on the HARD drive

  • Satellite P205: Touchpad does not work when the new adapter is connected

I got a replacement charger for my Satellite P205 but put it has A 4.19 instead of 3. 95 has, they said that it didn't matter, but since I use the charger, I have the following problems:

-Does not load properly and turns off after an hour.
-The touchpad has a mind of its own when the charger is connected (windows opens if hovering over button, through the screan jumps when I try to move it, freezes and disappears)
-Charger Word to say the laptop plugged in but not charging

What can I do to remedy these problems, the laptop works perfectly when the charger is not plugged in?

    See you soon!

    Hello

I guess that the touchpad worked correctly in the past with the former sector adapter.
    Is this good?

Well, it seems that these questions are related to the new power adapter and I would recommend using a 100% compatible adapter.

Check the AC adapter s old part number and if the issues could be resolved using this adapter.

  • Satellite P205-S6267 - automatically stops down

    I'm on a Toshiba Satellite P205-S6267

Recently, my laptop started trolling and then it just stops himself. I turned it on and it stops again after loading windows. After leaving my laptop alone for an hour, I turned it on and it makes works perfectly except that the laptop is quiet (no fan or whirring noise, usually my fan works from the outset it on). After half an hour, he stops again! I guess it has something to do with overheating now.

After searching for similar problems, I've heard users get the radiator plug. Now I don't know if this is the problem, but I don't know my laptop is rather dusty and I have never cleaned the inside. Also, I have used for over a year. Do I get my laptop cleaned or is this something else. Also how much it should cost to clean/repair the radiator and the fan and dust?

    Hello

I think that it s time to clean the laptop because you use over a year and I clean up my laptop every 2-3 months. I m always asked how much dust came out.

But to clean the laptop you don t need a professional help. You can do it yourself using the jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans. So you don't have to disassemble the laptop and it only takes a few minutes. You can buy the jet of compressed air from each store to the computer normally.

  • Satellite P205 - hit ANY key on the keyboard opens the default browser

Very strange problem with our Toshiba Satellite P205.
Hit ANY key on the keyboard opens the default browser. For example, type a ten letter word ten browser windows opens. We have replaced the keyboard but the problem persists. Toshiba repair center suggested replacing the motherboard at $500 (which isn't on the cost of a new cell phone?).

Works very well without any problem using an external keyboard.
It came with Vista, but we installed XP with the same results. Also tried upgrading the Bios.

    * Water was spilled on this computer laptop previously.*
    * It is out of EMCO.*

Is there maybe a registry tweak that can block the default browser to open this way?
Anyone has any ideas on this one?

There is a 'hard' switch just above the keyboard that opens the browser. I guess the connectors or printed circuits are corroded or damaged somehow so that any input on the keyboard also triggers this hard switch.

Possibly a hack software to disable or block the button "Open browser" would solve the problem. How to turn off or reassign these hard buttons?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

    > Toshiba repair center suggested replacing the motherboard at $500 (which isn't on the cost of a new cell phone?).
Looks like you need to replace the motherboard if you do not want to use the computer's internal keyboard correctly
You said that the water was reversed on this laptop previously, I think that's the reason why this keyboard problem happened

    > Is it may be a registry tweak that can block the default browser to open this way?
It s unclear not for me if something like this is not possible, but in my opinion has nothing to do with the software (register), but with the hardware problem caused by spilled water
You could try to reinstall the clean Windows operating system in order to check if this will help you
But if the new facility doesn't help then you should use the external keyboard because I doubt a replacement of the motherboard would be an option due to high costs.

  • Satellite p205-s8811 won't start normally or in safe mode just automatically get a black screen

I started my computer and start the recovery window came. I ran it and it has to solve the problem and computer ran very well. I stopped him and 6 hours more later powered on and the same thing. Startup recovery ran and solved the problem again.  When I looked in the log recovery startup errors he says that there are changes not specified for the configuration of the system. So I decied to do a system restore. The system restore ran, off, rebooted computer and when to start the toshiba system came on the screen. Then went black and never started window. For hard drive light was illuminated as normal, then slowed down, would be possible, and eventually it would flicker just a little more. The screen is black, but you can see the cursor. I pressed the switch to turn on, turn off, wait a little bit. Then turned on and got the screen to start normally, safe mode, safemode promt, European round table. I chose safe mode and it and all the config system starts to roll across the screen, then screen turned black and nothing else happened. So I tried again and chose to start windows normally, but the same thing. Toshiba comes through screen\, hard disk, running, but nothing but a black screen. I don't know if I app\drivers and recovery discs and don't know if it's even the fix. I could really use some help with this. I "ve been out of work for six months due to motorcycle wreck and do not have the funds for the nine. Plese I want to know if it's fixable. Thank you

  • Satellite P205 - activation of the FN display mouse

I use a Satellite P205 with Vista OS. Toshiba FN functions are displayed by pressing the FN key or moving the mouse on the top of the display screen. It's the mouse during activation that bothers me.
Quite often, in general use, my mouse will enter the zone that triggers the display and if I use the left button of the mouse the associated function is enabled. If I work quickly happen unintentionally. I find it more annoying and would like to disable the mouse during activation. If I want to use the FN option, I want to do with the FN key.

Anyone know how to disable the mouse on the display?

To be honest I wonder that you ask the question. I know, now, it seems stupid, but I'll tell you why.
If you don't like certain functions, it makes sense to check all the options available for something.
So if you open the settings for Flash cards, you will find an option he * allow the mouse to show maps of. *

Just remove the check mark from that option and cards Flash will appear when you use the FN key only.

Bye and if you have any other questions, you are welcome. ;)

My Satellite Pro M70 itself turns off in the middle of the secuence of startup

After turning on if it passes the test post and enters the menu grub (Linux + Windows) or BIOS
without problems, but most of the time after the start of the BONE found in the start - up, suddenly it powers off the power.

The problem becomes bigger and bigger as punishment I can boot any operating system

As seen on messages more soon as I cleaned the vents of CPU with a spray suddenly sure I wasn't a problem of overheatting.

Someone has an idea of what can happen?

    Thank you

Hmm, the laptop passes the MESSAGE correctly and it stops during the initialization of the operating system. Is this good?

Well, in this case I would exclude the RAM to malfunction.

I put t also think that it's an overheating problem because the laptop should work a little longer until it would be closed due to high temperature.

What about the HARD drive malfunction? Are you sure that the HARD drive is ok?

In my opinion, you should check the HDD and maybe try another.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P205-S6337 - blue screen and the black screen with the display driver

    Hello
It is my first time here, so let me know if I did something wrong in the post or something of the sort.

    Info:
    Toshiba Satellite P205-S6337
    Windows OS: Win XP Pro SP3 x 86 (x 32)
    BIOS version: 1.40
    RAM: 2 GB
CPU: Intel Core2 T5300-1.73 GHz, 1.73 GHz (Dual Core)

At the beginning I was watching a video on my laptop with Media Player Classic, I made an update of windows, after I did the update and rebooted my computer I tried to re - open the video with Media Player Classic, then once I did it kept freezing, then gives me a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) saying :
    'igxprd3 '.
    Beginning physical memory dump
    memory dump complete physics. »

So I kept getting that whenever I tried to watch a movie, so I thought it was due to the update of windows, because it is is not the first time that the updates on their part messed up everything. So I reformatted and once he was done after I install all the driver I want to restart my computer, once Windows is started almost entirely the screen begins to bog down then finally go completely black, the computer seems to work very well once he does, but just no screen, so I went in SafeMode (F8) and would be either disable or uninstall the video After that it would be fine, just that it does not use the video card and all current graphic stuff are bogged down and looks bad and I installed versions older and more recent video card and it always does.

Since I'm more savy with desktop and never loved laptop a lot, but what I've tried and what not it just seems that the video card is out. I even tried it blow and ensuring that everything is in place, but I hope I'm wrong and he is not out, if so, is there a way to put a new or add another external any?

The only thing I could think about maybe trying to update the BIOS, but I never had no problem BIOS with any thing with that I'm not kidding, and never a update BIOS since Ive never liked to play with her.

    Hello

In General, change the graphics card is not possible because the graphics card is attached to the motherboard. In this case the entire motherboard must be replaced and an authorized service provider can ask for help.

A point would be interesting: you can install Windows Toshiba Recovery disk? I ask this question because it would be interesting to know what is happening with the factory settings. And you can determine if this hardware or software problem.

  • Output suitable for Satellite P205-S6267 cable available to connect to an HD Plasma TV?

This is my first post. I'm not very well informed about computers.
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P205-S6267 which according to the manual, is supposed to be able to read any DVD HD. I just bought a Samsung 50 "plasma TV model #PN50A400C2DXZA from Sears and it notes that a PC can be connected via a cable, but does not exactly what type of cable is needed.

My question is: the Toshiba has a port "S-video (TV-out)", but the manual Samsung TV shows only two ports of entry that can be used to connect a PC: 1. a D - Sub cable with Audio output of the PC cable and 2. a HDMI/DVI cable with 3.5 mm stereo/2RCA cable.

Can anyone suggest exactly what kind of cable I need to buy to connect the Toshiba PC to the Samsung TV to use the TV works like a PC monitor?

If there is a cable that works, the TV shows PC output in high definition?
    Thank you
    Jim

    Hello Jim

I tried searching in Google which TV you have exactly, but I didn't have success.
Can you please post exact description of the TV model?

In any case, all new TVs have several different ports on the back. In General, you can use most of them. The question is which ports on your laptop TV output.
According to the specifications of the laptop, your laptop has an S-video output port. The same port should be available on TV also. If this isn't the case, you can use the S-Video/RCA cable. RCA yellow port must be available on your TV.

With this single image of cable can be sent to the TV but no sound.
High definition signal can be sent by HDMI cable only but your laptop hasn t this port.

If you have any other questions please post again, or ask in the nearest electronic store. I don't know that they can show you all the cables and adapters, you can use to connect your Satellite to the new TV.

    Good luck!

  • Is Satellite P205-S6307 supports 4 GB of memory?

    Hello

I bought a new laptop Satellite P205-S6307 computer online so-called support 4 GB RAM. When I received it, she had only 2GB. The online seller has repeatedly said the extra 2 GB was in the post, but it never happened. Realizing it would be cheaper to buy another 2GB chip that got him to sue. The chip, I bought is the same as that installed PC2-5300-2 GB/200 p

When I adapted the second 2GB chip to the computer it does not, start even in the BIOS. Individually these two circuits work, but they don't go together.

The sheet online said the maximum RAM because this model is 2 GB but CRUCIAL.COM says it will take 4 GB. I realize that running 32-bit Vista it will only recognize 3 GB.

My question is; is this model able to take 4 GB of RAM (2 x 2 GB) and if so, what can be my problem?

    I hope someone can help

Yes, the laptop is abele to manage the 4 GB of memory.
I mean that you can upgrade the laptop to 4 GB using 2 x 2GB modules.

I think your problem is that you used two incompatible modules or modules would simply malfunction.

    Computer laptop handles DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) 200 - PIN SODIMM modules.
Then maybe you should check replace modules and check the other.

How can I solve this problem?

The fact is that Toshiba offers good driver and webcam also help software. The cam should work well with them.
