Satellite P300-1FY - BSOD right video driver problem

Hello

I bought this laptop a month ago to replace my old who crashed without possibility of repair and I had problems with the video drivers since then. I hoped that the problem would resolve since I am in the middle of my exams and I really have time too much more time to spend to fix it myself, and I also can not him go to the store because I need some software for my exams.

So the problem that in my view, lies in the video drivers for the graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470. While I'm working on my laptop my screen all of a sudden turns black and my computer crashes (including the very unpleasant noise when I play music at the time) after 5 seconds it flashes live and displays a message indicating that a beelschermstuurprogramma niet Super perfect en is naked herstela. In English, it would be something like s video drivers did not work properly and have now been repaired.

It is of course extremely irritating, but it became even more then a few weeks previously when I had a blue screen because of a similar error. What make me lose half an hour of work on my laptop. (and as someone who has had reviews knows, half an hour is not something you can always afford to lose) I ran the wizard, and he sent me to the ATI site to look for the drivers.
The downside is that I could find many drivers, but none for the 3400 series. After an internet search for awhile I finally found some drivers for these series (or they pretend to be), however, this installer was corrupted. I also searched the Toshiba site, but I did find what I was looking for.

The laptop also freezes from time to time without the screen turning black.

Could someone help me with this problem?

Louis-Philippe

P.S.: quality of the keyboard is really bad also

First of all, you should post the exact code of BSOD and what operating system you are using. Then, we can search for this problem and what is the reason for this on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
Then please send the BSOD code.

In addition, I put t understand why you can t find a driver on the Toshiba site. Satellite P300-1FY belongs to the PSPCCE series and so I can find a display driver for XP and Vista. So where is the problem? Maybe you should try to install this driver:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

But before you install the driver, remove the old driver first. Reboot the laptop and clean your system with CCleaner. Restart the computer and then install the latest version on the Toshiba site.

The display driver on the factory site Internet (ATI) doesn't work because it s only for cards of office and not for laptops. Then, you can t install and your laptop has only been tested with drivers of Toshiba.

If the new driver doesn't work, you should try to update the BIOS too. You will find on the page of Toshiba.

Good luck!!

  • Firefox Beta 23 crashed 5 times in the last hour since the update, twice with a BSOD of video driver failure. I can't understand another way to this post.

FF was running fast and stable until the beta update tonight. Later he crashed several times, sometimes with a total system crash, sometimes with a system is unresponsive, sometimes with a video driver leading to a BSOD crash.

I had to DL 22 release and restore. I am now on the output channel, not the beta channel.

System Setup: Dell Latitude 6410, Win 7 x 64, 128 GB SSD, 4 GB of RAM, Intel video hardware. Everything is up-to-date.

Trying to get out before it blocks again and then switching to 22.

    Java plugin is usually disabled.
Toolbars are ABP, disconnection and download status bar.

    Update:

Have been able to run > 4 hours stable release 22 without hardware acceleration and long-awaited performance. I identified that my Crucial necessary M4 SSD firmware updated because of a problem that causes the BSOD after 5000 operating hours. Since the firmware update has been applied, I was stable.

Firefox may have been a catalyst, not a culprit. I wonder if my BSOD troubles began because FF or FF, as Flash module, was trying to make the disk space which had been rendered difficult by my bad SSD firmware.

Will post again in 24 HR works normally on 22 and then try 23 update to see if it is resolved.

Thank you all for the input. Hope my comments are useful somehow.

  • Satellite A305-S6858 win XP video driver does not

I recently bought a Satellite A305-S6858 in the States and I went down the Edition Vista Home premium preinstalled
for Win XP 32 sp 3. I had several problems to lift the computer up and running. After reading several posts
on various forums, I managed to install the OS, but I still cannot use the Intel video driver.
After the installation of those available on the toshiba site I still have in the Device Manager under the node for the video card
2 entries for 965 Chipset Mobile with an exclamation point.
I recently discovered that not having is not the video driver installed the operating system does not allow Stanby and Hibernate power options.
If someone has stumbled in the same issue?
    Thank you

You must install the basic drivers first.

Try to install the driver for the Chipset Intel first, then the display driver.

  • Satellite P300 - 19 p: CD/DVD drive is trying to read the disk then ejects

    Hello

    I hope someone can help,

    I have a * Satellite P300 - 19 P *.
I've had this laptop for 3 months and it's the last frustrating problem; occasionally when I insert a DVD or CD and close the CD tray tries to read the disc and then ejects the disc, even if I remove the drive and close the drive drawer pops out again,

If I shut down the system and restart the problem still exists.
I checked the drivers that are updated and the operating system is Windows Vista Home premium 32-bit.

It is the fourth time this happens and the problem seems to fix it of self and reappears as and when!

If anyone has had this problem or can anyone help because it makes me crazy.

    Hello!

I think that s a problem with the CD/DVD drive.

In your case, I would go to an ASP (authorized service provider). They should check your laptop and change the drive if necessary.
Here, you can search an ASP:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported downloads & => find an ASP.

  • Satellite P300 - upgrade to larger hard drives and 7200 RPM?

I have a Satellite P300, model PSPCCA-01W073 (sold in Australia). Machine has two 320 GB of HARD drive. Yes, it's all up to 640 GB. I upgraded to Windows 7 OS and I have dual boot in to Linux Ubuntu.

My job is editing/processing of multimedia files big and my hard drives are overexploited, so I now I am forced to exchange large files back and fourth with various USB hard drives. If I can replace the existing readers with much larger models, then I will go ahead and do it. .. But at this point, I'm out of my depth!

I asked the support from Toshiba if P300 supports larger disks but they will not engage all the answers outside the original specifications. They suggest that I should try Toshiba users forum for more help.

A kind person could tell me if it is possible to run drives 320 GB and the size. Also, I believe that the existing drives are 5400 RPM. My online store parts and pieces of local computer lists a choice between Hitachi, WD, Seagate and Samsung with sizes:

    (2.5 "/ 5400 RPM") 320 GB, 500 GB, 750 GB and 1 TB as well as sizes: (2.5 "/ 7200 rpm") 500 GB, 640 GB and 750 GB.

So my second question; y at - it no advantage or disadvantage to the superior speed of 7200 RPM.

TIA, your help should prevent to me yet an another expensive blunder.

    Longbow-00

    Hello

Theoretically more big hard drives must be supported and should not be a big problem to use this HARD drive as the SATA controller is not limited to any size.

Also the use of the faster HARD drive 7200 RPM should not affect the performance of the laptop even if this HARD drive faster produce more heat

In my opinion you can upgrade to a larger and faster HARD drive

So I bought a new laptop of Lenovo Y5070 yesterday without an operating system since I still have my windows 7 64 bit.

Windows 7 64 bit is installed without problem. At the time wherever I was able to install my drivers, I couldn't through with my Intel video driver installation, so could not continue to install my NVIDIA driver either. I downloaded all the drivers of Lenovo support section compatitable.

When I try to install the Intel video driver I downloaded from the support page, it gives me an error saying: "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."

    I have install driver:

I tried reinstalling the driver, did not help.

    Help please

    Hi LOADSTONE007S,

What is the exact system model? What is the current operating system installed on the system? The issue started after the recent windows updates? What is the exact model of the TV? What version of HDMI cable that you use? Have you tried another HDMI cable? Have you tried to connect to another monitor / TV?

If the system worked very well before, and then perform a system restore to restore the computer to an older version point where it worked very well - http://bit.ly/1JEw2ov

Update the BIOS - http://dell.to/1n3X2po - enter the service number and download the BIOS update and restart the machine and check.

Reinstall the video driver from the vendor's site. Look for the driver model in device-> graphics cards Manager. If you are unable to find the link, send me a photo of graphics cards in Device Manager and I'll provide links to the vendor's site.

Create a new local administrator account and check - http://bit.ly/1JoFhcw

In addition, please click my username DELL and write me a private conversation with the service number and your contact information (name and Email) for files.

  • Dell Inspiron 15R SE AMD video driver problems (7520)

    Hello

Updated Windows Installer update drivers AMD GPU for me earlier. I think the problem is that it has installed the AMD site instead of graphics drivers switchable drivers that are compatible with my laptop (Inspiron 15R SE).

All programs that use the AMD card crashes when I start the system, including the Catalyst Control Center and the switchable graphics program. I tried to get into windows to display advanced options, but windows stops responding when I open the menu (Gray screen for about a minute then it returns with the window closed).

Dxdiag crashes if I start it, and if I try to run again he asks me if I want to run without Direct3D. If I press 'No', it crashes. If I accept, he let me in but does not detect the graphics card AMD.

I tried to uninstall the drivers and re - download coupons Dell website, but the problem persists.

I'm running an AMD Radeon HD m 7730 GPU and 4000 HD Intel integrated graphics.

TL; DR: All programs set to use graphic crash dedicated. Drivers say they have updated, but the problem is still there. Cannot access driver rollback screen (windows crash).

If you need more information, just ask. I run the Dell Diagnostics tool and he found nothing wrong, so it is a driver problem.

    Hello

I followed the steps you posted. Uninstall driver AMD asked me to restart later, so I allowed him to. I was greeted with a BSOD whenever I started. I tried to boot my Dell driver recovery disk, but there is no drive detected. I finally decided I had to do a system restore.

The good news is that the problem is resolved.

Bad news is that I lost all my files. This time I am disabling the windows driver updates...

  • Video driver problem HP Pavilion g6-2305sq

    Hello

I am trying to solve my video driver issue. First of all, I couldn't have found this model of laptop on HP's site. I finally installed my drivers through google search (for example, I installed the driver for my network by going to the site of the manufacturer, i.e. Ralink and made manually). Therefore, because I can't find my drivers on the official website of HP, I also installed my video drivers from other sources, what has probably created the problem that I have now.

I have an ATI Radeon HD 7600 M and Intel HD 4000. I tried to play something (League of Legends), but the game freezes most of the time. Sometimes it shows other times 16 fps, 60 fps, but it is not relevant, because I can't move at all. Most of the gameplay is made of clichés. I'm not even some what video card, the computer is currently using and if it switches automatically (I have included LoL in the list of applications from app CCC Switchable Graphics settings) to the ATI adaptare.

So first what I am asking is a source of HP to download these drivers and then to fix (if this is the case) technology switchable graphics or to force the driver to use the adaptare dedicated, if necessary.

    Thank you.

I solved by searching the forum and by installing an older driver to a different model.

  • Satellite L850 - cannot play Minecraft - graphics driver problem

    Hello

I have a Satellite L850 with this specs: Intel Core i7 3630QM with an AMD Radeon HD7670M and 8 64-bit windows.
I installed the latest drivers display amd by toshiba Web site and java 64 bit.

Walker I launch Minecraft is as usual, but when I click on connection a black screen stands for awhile, then the failure Message screen comes and it means something like this:

    Bad video card drivers!

Minecraft could not start because it did not find an accelerated OpenGL mode.

Generally, this can be corrected by updating the video card drivers.

So I hope that you are able to help me.
I've already spent many hours to fix it, but nothing works
    :(

In this game forum, you can find several discussions on the problems in playing Classic.
All cases have been resolved by the update of the graphics card driver.

To my knowledge, the driver of Toshiba page does not contain the OpenGL but DirectX (of Microsoft)

Then maybe you will need to install the driver of an another 3rd party sources
Your laptop supports the AMD (ATI) graphics chip?
Well, in this case, you could test a driver of omegadrivers.net but the use of this driver is your own risk, don't know if it will work stable

  • Re: A500 - 1 H 6 * BSOD and Nvidia driver problems

    Hello

A few months ago I bought a Satellite A500 - 1:6 and I am almost happy with it. In fact, I have 2 problems:

1 - from time to time, the screen goes black for a few seconds and comes back to life after showing + a message on the Nvidia driver which has failed, but was back +. I tried to update the Nvidia driver, but it was even worse.

    2. when I use wi - fi, most likely my laptop eventually freezing for a few minutes, then followed by a BSOD.

I don't know if it's relevant, but I had to update the BIOS when I bought because there was another problem (the laptop awake by itself, early in the morning).

If anyone has an idea that I can solve these problems, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Mike.

    Hello

    > I tried to update the Nvidia driver, but it was even worse.

Are you talking about the toshiba page vga driver? I have fixed BSOD for a500, update driver vga nvidia.com, about 6 months ago and since away once no BSOD more.

    > 2 - when I use wi - fi, most likely my laptop will end up freezing for a few minutes, then followed by a BSOD.

    try to update.

  • Satellite A200 - PSAF6A Vista: HDMI video resolution problem

    Hello

Bought a Toshiba Satellite A200 recently, with a HD2600. Because I can't find an APA Help Forum, I hope someone can help me here.

    I have the following problem.
I use another manufacturer AL2216W (the only available driver is for XP, which I installed it on Vista Ultimate without any problems) widescreen 22'.

The monitor is capable of displaying 1680 x 1050 (60 Hz). If I connect it to the analog port of the laptop, I can select the resolution and it works very well.

If I connect it to (via a DVI - D to HDMI Cable adapter) HDMI port on my laptop, the highest resolution is only 1440 x 900. I already installed the drivers several times, but it does not show the resolution 1680 in digital mode.

The strange thing is that the monitor is correctly identified with the resolution to 1680 x 1050.

I use the extended view option, since I want to use both screens.

    Thank you

What do you think of technical requirements?
Maybe the graphics card does not offer this resolution for HDMI port. I don't think you can solve this problem with the latest driver from Toshiba. I know that you want to have the digital signal, but if nothing works try to use this adapter.
