Satellite P300D-20U - BSOD BCCode 124

Image on screen mixes, sound stops and similar to 2-bit becoms music. It usually appears on the playback of video or music on flashplayer in Opera or Firefox.

Reintalling OS did not help, official service support nothing done (they changed a video card, but it did not help). I tested the memory, update BIOS, processors tested, updated audio driver. Everything is ok.

I think it's something wrong with audio (google shows a lot of similar problems, but I have not found a solution). What should I do?

Hello

> nothing is official service support (they changed a video card, but it did not help).
In this case you should contact the technicians again what you think?

I mean, it can always happen that after exchanging a special part he doesn t work again because nobody is perfect.

In addition you must also explain the technicians what your specific problem. When it happens, what you have tried, etc.

I sure you will find a solution with the ASP m. ;)

    Hi guys.

After my BSOD's long-term thinking, I got the main reason which probably caused it. It is hal.dll (bluescreenviewer told me). As far as I know, it's a driver of the motherboard.

    Hello

Satellite P300D-20U belongs to the PSPDCE series and I think that it was equipped with the chip graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 (M82XT).

Did you choose this series in the form of European driver of Toshiba?

I see the Display Driver for Win XP v 8.477.

If you can not install using the setup.exe, then you should try to install this driver in Device Manager.
Mark (possibly marked with yellow exclamation) graphics card then choose put up-to-date driver, use the Advanced installation procedure, point to the driver files downloaded from the Toshiba page and apply.

    It should work

  • Satellite A500-19w - BSOD BCCode 9 - BAD_POOL_HEADER

    Hey everybody

About 2 weeks ago, I bought a Toshiba Satellite A500-19w. Have been crackling sounds from the speakers, but also error blue screen & restart.
So I decided that I wanted a refund because it was out of the question for me to keep a laptop that has been hurt since the first day.

The Bank refused to give me my money back, instead they gave me a new laptop (the same Satellite A500-19w).

Now, I have the same exact problems, but since I will not get my money, I'm stuck with it.
I've had the laptop for 3 days now, and only today I had 4 blue screen errors (the last 3 times, after windows restarted, I don't even have a log of the error so that I could post it here).

But from what I remember, it was a BCCode 19, & during the last blue screen that I had, I saw "BAD_POOL_HEADER".
I was going through the forums desperately try to find a solution, but have not found anything so far.
I don't know what the problem is, I really need help.

My OS is a Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.
    (All A500-19w normal sheet example 1 g Ram, 230 M nVIDIA VGA...).

    I really really need help.
I have a lot of work to do and this laptop is the only tool I have.
I don't have access to other computers.

    Help, please.

And one more thing, service of Toshiba Tempro advised me a new update of the BIOS, but when I tried to get it, he told me that ' you seem to have the same version or newer "or something like that & the update did not work.
Yet once, please, I'm desperate for help.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think the problem is software partner.
The google provides many successes on the BSOD BCCode 19 and the BAD_POOL_HEADER

Unfortunately, it is not easy to say which application or a driver could cause this because its always a different software...

But you can check the minidump file to obtain more details on the error...

    Hello

I'm trying to understand what is the source of my BSOD. I had this problem for several weeks. It not always plant, but when that happens, it's usually after I shot recently on my computer. It shows the Blue error screen stop, try to restart it, shows a page of quick bios that is not the same one that shows at startup and then stops again. If I hit the power button it will usually be back on and start working a little bit. I've had the computer for about 2 years. I have the specs and details of the error below.

This is called BCC124 and is linked to the material.  Since Genuine Intel is referenced, I'd start by running a cpu stress test

Try this free stress test: http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/

    Prime95 Setup program;
-Extract the contents of the zip file into a directory of your choice
    -Double-click on the executable file
    -Select "all stress testing.
-Select the test of 'Blend '.  If you have already run MemTest overnight, you can run the test of "Small FFFS" instead.
"Number of threads of torture test run" must equal the number of processors multiplied by 2 (if you use hyperthreading).
The best way to do this is to go to the Manager of the tasks of the figure... The performance tab - and see the number of boxes that appear under the CPU usage history
Then run the test of 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors [b](whichever comes first)
The selection of Test and the file stress.txt box describes the components that insists on the program.

    Stop 0 x 124 is a hardware error

If you are overclocking try to reset your settings to standard processor and see if that helps.

If you keep getting the BSOD here are things more than you may want.
This is usually hardware related, defective heat, memory or processor even if it is "possible" he is associated (rare) driver.

Stop 0 x 124 - what it means and what to try

    Synopsis:
A "stop 0 x 124" is fundamentally different from many other types of bluescreens because it arises from a complaint of material.
Stop 0 x 124 minidumps contain very little concrete information, and it is therefore necessary to address the problem as a case of material in an unknown state of distress.

    Generic troubleshooting ' Stop 0 x 124 ":

    1) to ensure that none of the hardware components are overclocked. Material which is pushed beyond its design specifications - by overclocking - may malfunction in unpredictable ways.
    (2) ensure that the machine is sufficiently cooled.
If there is doubt, open the side of the case (be aware of all the relevant conditions guaranteed!) PC and direct an electric fan squarely to the motherboard. Who will rule on most cooling problems (lack of).
    3) update all drivers related to materials: video, sound, RAID (if applicable), NIC... anything that interacts with a piece of hardware.
It is best to run the latest drivers anyway.
    (4) update the BIOS of your motherboard according to the manufacturer's instructions and clear CMOS.

Their website should provide detailed instructions on the brand and model-specific procedure.
    (5) rarely, bugs in the operating system may cause "false positives" 0 x 124 events where the hardware wasn't complaining, but Windows thought otherwise (because of the bug).
At the time of writing, Windows 7 does not have to suffer from a defect, but it is nevertheless important to keep Windows up-to-date.
    6) trying (stress) test these hardware components that can be put to the test artificially.
The most obvious examples are the RAM and HDD (s).
For the RAM, use the 3 rd-party memtest86 utility to run several hours a test value. (6-8 passes to stress the ram)
For hard drives, verify if CHKDSK /R finds any problems on (s), including "bad sectors".
Unreliable RAM, in particular, is mortal, as well as software, and anything other than a 100% clear memory test result is cause for concern. Unfortunately, even a 100% clear result the diagnostic utilities does not guarantee that the RAM is free of any defect - only that none have been encountered during the test passes.
    7) as the last of the non-invasive troubleshooting steps, perform a "Vanilla" Windows reinstallation: just the OS itself without additional applications, games, utilities, updates, new drivers - or ANYTHING that does not come from the Windows 7 disc.
Who stops working mitigate the problem of the 0 x 124, jump to the next step.
If you run the "Vanilla" installation long enough to convince yourself that not a single 0 x 124 accident occurred, start installing applications and updates slowly, always stopping between successive additions long enough to get an idea of the question if the machine is still free of 0 x 124 breaks down.
Smash back, obviously the latest addition of software may be somehow connected to the root cause.
If the stop error 0 x 124 persist despite the above steps, and the equipment is under warranty, consider to go back and ask for a replacement that does not suffer periodic MCE events.
Be aware that want to perform the subsequent hardware troubleshooting steps can, in some cases, void your warranty:
    (8) clean and carefully remove the dust inside the machine.
Reinstall all memory modules and connectors.
Use a can of compressed air to clean the RAM DIMM supports as much as possible.
    (9) If all else fails, start removing items of hardware one by one in the hope that the culprit is something non-essential that can be eliminated.
Obviously, this type of testing is much easier if you have access to equivalent components in order to perform swaps.

If you are in the situation to have completed all the steps above without a resolution of the symptom, unfortunately the most likely reason is that the error message is literally correct - something is fundamentally wrong with the hardware of the machine.

  • "Satellite P300D-201: BSOD: irql_not_less_or_equal" and pointer reference

The first few weeks, I got Windows 7 32 Bit on my Satellite Pro P300D 201, it worked fine. But suddenly, there was a blue screen with the label "reference_by_pointer" I've tried to stop as usual. I have not installed any new software a few days before (just a few updates "Windows Update"). Now this apears blue screen every time I try to stop. Hibernation and energy saving still work.

But, sometimes when I connect my mobile phone "Sony Ericsson K800i" using the USB connection and the "Sony Ericsson PC Suite 6" it is "irql_not_less_or_equal" blue screen.»

I don't know if theres something wrong with the RAM/working memory, but I can't think because this computer is brand new and it never fell down or something like that.

I'm sorry for my bad English, I'm still learning.

    Hello

Perhaps Windows isn't compatible with your software up-to-date and causing this BSOD. You should try to use the restore system to a previous state.

Also have you updated the software for your mobile phone? Maybe it's not compatible with Windows 7's again. Visit the site of the factory for an update.
I have the same phone but I m using MyPhoneExplorer which works quite well on Windows 7 but I m using the Bluetooth connection and not on the cord.

The modem is certainly not a problem, as I tried it on another PC and it works perfectly fine.
    Can you help me?

    Hello

If I understand correctly your problem; the BSOD (blue screen of death) appears during the installation of the software for the external Wlan modem immediately.
    Right?

I assume you are using portable satellite P300D Win 7 on your computer.
There may be a compatibility problem with Win 7 OS?

    > The modem is certainly not a problem, as I tried it on another PC and it works perfectly fine.
Have you tested the modem with the other Win 7 computer?

The other hand the Mobile supports an internal Wlan card.
Have you tried an update of the Wlan card driver?

    André,

Thanks for your reply, but I think that I have fixed my problem.  When I built the system, I never could the 2nd strip of memory to work.  It would not just start my system at all.  I thought all along that I had a problem of memory based on my last sentence.  I finally went out and bought another brand memory and did not have a BSOD on the last 2 days.

Thanks again for trying to help me.

My computer has been restarted recently about once a week during the night when it is idling. I'll wake up and notice that it has restarted, at first I thought he was just updated. I know realize there is something wrong, however! I started playing Starcraft II: Heart of the swarm today and it stopped after the first game. Hoping that it was just a fluke I started my computer again and after the first game, the same thing, full stop. Except this time I was met with a message 'windows has recovered from an error' when I started upward. Here's the message as follows:

    What should I do?

    (4) update the BIOS of your motherboard according to the manufacturer's instructions.
For the RAM, use diagnostics from built-in memory (run MDSCHED) or the utility memtest86 3rd - party to run plenty of evidence of hours of testing.

  • Satellite P300D-13N and Installation of XP problems (Sata driver)

    Hello

I have some problems with my XP Downgrade.
I tried to integrate the Intel Storage Manager driver in my XP CD, but unfortunately it did not work.
Probably because I've been incorporating all THE drivers, who were available, not only who should work for my chipset.
Anyway, in one of the threads of this forum, there is a link to [THIS how-to | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm] and I think I found my problem...

[Here: http://s5.directupload.net/images/080904/2eptrpzs.jpg] is a screenshot of my (sorry to make it in German) Device Manager preinstalled Vista.
As you can see, there is no information about the Version of controller.

So my question is, WHAT chipset is built into my laptop, because it is due to the fact that Intel drivers do not work AND there is no information on any Intel-inverter speed, I have no idea, I have to integrate into the XP CD to get my XP Installation working drivers. :(

    Help :(

    Thank you

  • Satellite P300D-110 does not recognize the 9 cell battery

Can someone help me with a bios version of work?

Running v2.80 with 32-bit vista, in this configuration, the battery is not recognized. I read in a German forum I need v3.00 or higher there is no newer version on the download section that works on vista 32 bit.

    Hi mate

Your laptop P300D-110 belongs to the series of PSPD4E.
For this series, you will find only 2.80 BIOS.
There are other satellite P300D as PSPD8E or PSPDCE series.
3.30 BIOS is available for this series.

I think that the problem is not related to the BIOS if you had no problems in the past, so I think that your battery is defective.

  • Satellite P300D 10V - problem with TV OUT

    Hello!

I have a card ATI HD3650 in my Toshiba Satellite P300D 10V model and I can't use my TV out!
It does not work! How to start!

I use a newer driver of origin! With the previous driver output TV not too worked!

    Kind regards!

    Hello

The laptop seems to support a 4pijn s-video port and HDMI port.
Which port you use to connect to the TV?

You can use both and it only depends on the available on television port.
Choose the right channel on the TV and then use the FN + F5 key combination to switch to the TV out.

    Hello

Since when did you notice this problem?
Have you installed the latest version of the BIOS?

On this behavior, I found a similar thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums//thread.jspa?MessageID=231754

So I can say this normal behavior of s is on when you press the button mute.
