Satellite P50 - Windows does not remember settings screen gama

Hello.

I just bought a Satellite P50 and I'm a little disappointed by the screen.
It looks a little cloudy/Sun for me.

I get a slightly better result by changing the gamma settings of Windows screen.
But whenever I have to close the cover or close the session, the screen is back for the parameter by default when I turn on again.

Is there a way I can make my phone remember my favorite screen settings?

Can you please describe exactly what you did? I want to test it on my new machine of Win8.

I have a Satellite C650, who does not start, when it lights there are two options, Startup Repair launch which leads to a black screen and mobile arrow, the screen remains like that until you turn it off the button stop (seriously ive left for about 10 hours). The other option is to start windows normally resulting in a blue screen and the laptop restarts itself.

Help me please, make things worse I can't find the box that it came in which contains the guarantee and recovery disc

    Hey Buddy,

You can start your laptop in safe mode? This means that if you press the F8 key before Windows starts and you choose Safe mode can you start Windows?

If this isn't the case I think that it s something wrong with your Windows installation and that's why you need to use the Toshiba Recovery disk to restore to factory settings.

  • Satellite L300 - Windows does not recognize the connected device

I have Toshiba Satellite L300 series, PSLB8E. It came with a basic version of vista pre-installed window and it was working fine until I decided to update.

I took it to a computer for an upgrade store to ultimate window.
This version worked very well for a few weeks until I have received a message on the screen that says: 'I have to get a genuine copy of windows.

Because ever since I started having problems with my usb ports, my computer couldn't detect something I connect to it (usb, printer, mouse, etc.) he worked with modem only, sometimes it would open my external hard drive but it does not have its drivers.

I then decided to buy a window 7 home base, but instead of this problem will disappear, that it got worse as my usb ports completely stopped working.

I tried all the stuff I can think, but nothing has worked. the problem I have is that I don't have the original disc in Windows vista

    Someone please help!

I agree: installing drivers for Windows 7 is very important to get all devices work correctly. Windows 7 is much better than Vista OS and I don't see any reasons why your L300 Sat should not work properly with this Win 7 OS.

I recommend you to install the Windows 7 system again by install completely clean.
After that, download all drivers Toshiba Win 7 of the Toshiba UE driver page.

Very important are the drivers as value added package, Chip Set Utility, card reader controller, display driver, LAN driver, WLan, Sound Driver, Storage Manager and driver of the touchpad

But he could not turn it on Monday afternoon. The power light is not on when you turn it on, but primer. The light remains on but does nothing. The screen is blank when feeding it works.

It's hard to say what is happening to your knees. You can access Bios? Try to connect the external monitor and see (maybe the screen of the laptop disappeared)...

  • Satellite L305D-S5934 does not start - white screen

    I have a problem with a 2 years satellite l305d-s5934.

In turning on, the power light turns on, but the hard drive light does not work and the screen remains blank.
I tried removing the battery and reboot without it after pressing the power button, but nothing changes.

Any advice on fixing the problem would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Hello

Remove the battery, disconnect the power adapter and leave the laptop disconnected for a longer period of time. After that connect the two parties can try unit lights up once more

If it does not, check the RAM. Remove the single module and test two slots with each module.
Sure, it might be possible that the two modules are faulty and that the procedure could not help you.

In the worst case the motherboard may be affected in one such case that mobo replacement would be useful.

I've tried without success, but failure mode it no more. I have a product recovery CD, but the system does not start from him. When I studied at the start, I saw that the BIOS does not detect the optical drive.

    Help please! Thank you.

    Hi nonprofit.

You could try to load the default settings in the BIOS. Maybe it will be reconigze the CD/DVD drive again.

Otherwise I think that it of necessary to replace the defective drive. Then, you would be able to use the Toshiba recovery disc again. This will restore factory in a few minutes.

    Hello Adrian

For me it is not easy to understand your problem, but what you can do right now is to restart your laptop and check if the basic operations are working properly. Try restarting several times to see what will happen.

Start the laptop computer can see you Toshiba welcome screen?
Is there a usual activity of HARD disk at startup?

  • Satellite M60-170 does not start - black screen

I have toshiba M60-170, before it was perfect, but now I don't know what is happening?
When I try to start my computer just for 2 sec, everything is good, then the fan of sounds of the CPU and the screen is black and the stop of HARD drive.
    So everything is stop!
I try to start again but still does not.

Some body told me that it is the motherboard!
Please, someone tell me what is happens with my beautiful laptop?

    Thank you

It does not sound good friend :(

But let's try this; Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter for about 20 min.
After this short period of time connect the two parts, and try to start Notepad.

If it doesn t help the chances are that your hardware is defective. Like other guys said, it could be a fault of the motherboard or something different like CPU, memory modules.
    I can speculate on failure.

I think that you don't have many choices. In your case, you should contact the ASP in your country for a control of the laptop.

    Good bye

  • Why is my firefox does not remember settings for bar add-on, spaces, etc.?

I put a few extensions for display in the bar of addons, but every time I put a few spaces and relocate, gets it more fuzzy space more and remembers him like that.
After defining the spaces, on every restart, it automatically grants them in his own way?

It happens only with me? Help, please?

Maybe this is caused by another extension that does not work properly.

Alternatively, you can check for problems with the file localstore.rdf.

  • 6.52 update does not remember settings VMNet

    Host of Vista X 64.

    Updated 6.51 to 6.52

VmNet0 parameters (such as described in the virtual network editor) do not survive a reboot, Hibernate or sleep of the host.

I put VMNet0 to bridge to an internal wireless card.

Also, the automatic bypass is disabled (However, if I check it out and add maps to the list 'does not automatically bridge', they are not recall.)

Somehow, this seems also to be a security problem (it should not fill in a network, I don't want to, even if it does not fill what be it after a reboot, the setting into hibernation or sleep).

I guess I'm probably no chance for a solution, so I think I may have need to code to the top a sort of registryor of other hack that gets running whenever the host boots or returns from a hibernation, or perhaps the values are simply not get registered first. No idea where to start?

This totally blows the water of the basin.

    If you want to manually do the hard look in;

    \VMnetLib HKLM\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc."

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT ".

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters.

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VMnetBridge ".

  • Satellite Pro C660 does not start, no screen

Hi guys I was wonder if anyone could help please.

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro C660 - 2 DR who seems to be defective (just out of warranty).
Everything worked fine until we came to a morning market and found that the screen remains off (black screen). There are no output through the VGA as I tested it on an external monitor.

The CPU fan turns for a few seconds and then turns off.
There is no noise from the hard drive read/write either. The power light stays on. I removed the hard drive to access data on another system that worked Fortunately

. I also removed the RAM, battery and optical drive, but there is still no output to the screen.

Is it sounds like a faulty motherboard?
The laptop seems to be in excellent condition.

Is there something else I can try please? I would be very grateful for any advice.

    Rich

Yes, it looks like the faulty motherboard or a part of the motherboard as RAM or CPU.
You said that you have already removed the RAM, but have you used a good RAM module tested?

Theoretically, it could be just a problem of RAM but in the worst case, you will need to replace the motherboard and I think it would be really expensive repair.

  • Windows does not start - XPS 8300

I have a XPS8300 (2010) who does not successfully start windows.  System Restore does not resolve the problem.  Especially when I try to start it, the HARD drive runs very fast, Windows does not start, the screen turns off, but the machine does not stop automatically.  A few times I was able to press F8 and load it to the ' last known good state ", but this does not work normally.  When it works (like now) the function of machine reasonably well and I can access the files.  So I think that the HARD drive may be OK.

I ran the ePST - he tried repeatedly - and he never performs the test.  No error code.  The screen turns off and then sometimes it just hangs. But earlier it gave me a code of "beep".  It's "1 - 2 - 3.

Tried to run the Dell diagnostic online, but it's pretty slow, I can't tell if it has "hooked", or if it is still ongoing.

Would appreciate recommendation on next steps.

A flaky power supply can cause these problems, and they are quite common.
