Satellite P855 - 10G and 3D issue

Someone at - it sort 3D yet? Photos from the Nvidia site work fine.

Samples of Tosh refuse to display other than side by side.
Bought cheap BD 3D "Universe" as a test and he has sturred a few times but now will not play.

Really this desire for BIM (Building Information Modeling) will then try to find / create some models.

It would be nice to try movies though.

Hello

What s wrong with 3D?
The Satellite P855 - 10G supports a TFT high brightness without glasses 3D with LED backlighting. If its compatible 3D.

There should be a button 3D in front of the laptop.
This key enable and disable the 3D feature. Also the buttons allows you to activate 2Dto3D conversion using the video player from Toshiba.

To read the comics in 3D, you must use the other player called Toshiba Bluray disc player.

Also before you watch 3D on the internal display you must remove the covering of the webcam Panel. The webcam scans your position which is necessary to obtain the glasses free 3D work.

You should also consider that 3D is compatible with two resolutions:
1920 x 1080 at 24 Hz or 1280 x 720 at 60 Hz

According to the glasses free 3D mode user manual may be activated except games and Toshiba Bluray disc player. At this time you must disable glasses free 3D mode by unchecking the enable stereoscopic 3D

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

This can occur if an option in the BIOS is enabled.
For example: the activated Wake Up on LAN / Wake up on keyboard options could be the reason for the issue of battery discharge.

In this case, you will need to disable it. Save changes and check if it worked.

    Hello

Access the BIOS and disable options like: wake-up on LAN and keyboard.
In Toshiba HW Setup I should disable the USB Sleep and Charge feature as well

The two options enabled to discharge the battery, even if the device is OFF

  • Satellite L310D - Viruses and the issue of recovery

My partner has a Satellite L310D, which recently is victim to the virus of windows security.
We initially tried to restore to a previous restore point but he resurfaced after a few days.

We then reinstalled windows from the recovery partition of the HARD disk which seems at first sight have been around but after opening explorere and surfing the net, it keeps us bombing with a windows error.

Also, when you are in the google search, then clicking on a link, it will open additional search pages and refuses to open the link.

Finally, he did not finish we updated windows and lifted up a windows error which we can not get rid of despite their support pages.
I learn the virus can have dug in the registry but I thought the restoration of HARD drive would address this issue.

If he touched the entire hard drive and how do I sort?
We do not have an available recovery disk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated that we cannot use it as it is. Apart from this, the machine was great for our needs.

    > If it has affected the entire hard drive and how do I sort?
Well, a virus could affect the functionality of the system.
Usually the antivirus software should be able to remove this but some viruses are really good and new OS install might be a better solution.

If you don t have recovery disks (generally you must create it in the first day of the purchase of the laptop), then you could order it here:

  • Satellite M40 - start and stop issue

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop Satellite M40 on stop to the low process sometimes also on windows start and I think it's BIOS associates.

When I start my laptop, sometimes (not always) I get an error message in a blue screen saying that my BIOS is not fully ACPI-compatible... I reboot, and if I wait a while, the system boots normally, but if I just restart immediately, he'll get the same message.
It happens sometimes that the computer goes further opening in the black screen message: contact tomorrow: toshiba

The other problem, I don't know if it of related or not, is that the computer is not shut down or restart. I have to do it by pressing the button for a while. I thought it was an application that I had in my system that was the cause, but I have just formatted the hard drive and the same mistakes are still ongoing...

When it stops, it stops right on the message: 'Windows is shutting down... ". »

I updated my BIOS with the new available for download here to toshiba support, and I think it was the trigger for all these problems... now I don't know how to go back, or even if it's the reason.
I really hope someone here can help me, because I just wanted all the information related to the internet without success.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Satellite M40 is well-known for me because one of my friends has one at home. Laptop very nice.

So, what can I say? It's really not easy to say what the problem is here, but if you use Windows XP Home edition for a long time, it can happen that one day to happen strange things. I believe that no one here can say with certainty what the problem with your machine.

If possible, you should clean OS installation using recovery media delivered. After doing this, you should see what is happening. In this case, no one can say that there are programs that have bad influence on the execution of the operating system.

  • Satellite L300-1BV and fatal issues with WXP

    Hi guys -.

Very well. My Toshiba Satellite L300-1bv, loaded with a copy of Windows XP SP3 home edition, started having glitches and slowing down questions that grew progressively until it would completely freeze after a random interval of time. Try to boot now returns a missing hal.dll error.

I'm almost certain, given the characteristics of this that the hard drive is a failure, mainly because he began to thrash continually without reason a few months in him. On the other hand, it could be a mistake of memory through Google diagnostics.

I ve managed to install a copy of Windows XP Home SP1 edition on a new partition (the one broken leaving intact), but I don't know how long it will continue to operate in light of a possible hardware failure so I don't want to commit.

Any help would be massively appreciated.

    Hello

What assistance do you have exactly?

As you say the problem could be related to a hardware (RAM, HARD disk problem) or software (missing hal.dll, corruption of the operating system) problem

If new OS installation (with all patches, service pack) no did not help, then a problem of material is possible in this case, replace defective parts
No one can say what part could be corrupted it s is necessary to test means that the RAM or HARD drive needs to be replaced and then you could test how it works

PS: there is a nice tool to drive HARD HDD Fitness called diagnosis test for google's free simply

  • Need BIOS for Satellite P855 - 10G

    Hi guys

My laptop when I play gets really hot. I've changed the thermal compound but it of the same. I think that's when I update the bios to 6.7.
Can you give me the original BIOS for it pls? :( I can t really play with this. In the first year pc was so good, but after that it gets really hot. pls help me :(

Each BIOS available on the Toshiba download page is the original BIOS. What you probably have is the old version of the BIOS. Problem is that the BIOS versions available on the Toshiba download page are only the newer versions.
What you can try is to contact the closest service provider for Toshiba in your country, explain the situation and ask if they can get it for you. They must have access to the database of drivers/BIOS, and I think they can get it for you.

At the end, please be so kind and tell me why you have updated the BIOS?
Have you noticed a problem with your machine or the reason felt just to have the latest version installed on your machine?

I ask this question because many people update implement everything, although there is no reason for this and then post here different questions.

  • Brightness too weak to play SIMS 3 screen satellite P855-335

    Hello

I would really appreciate if you could help me.

I bought there not too long ago, this laptop, Toshiba Satellite P855-335 and its runs smoothly, with all my apps and games. I love it! BUT when I play Sims 3 in screen is too dark, that it ruins the game as it feels as I play in the dark!

Is IM on windows 8 and running on full brightness setting, there anything I can do to change the brightness? so I can see the colors right when Im playing?

    Pease help!

Have you checked the game specific settings?
If I understand your problem, low light is visible only by playing the Sims 3. The brightness of the screen other games is OK.

For me, this means that the brightness and probably all the other graphic display settings can be changed in the game. I recommend the game menu and the options available. Something like gama, brightness etc.

Alternatively, you can try to reinstall the game sometimes new facility could be the key!

  • Satellite C660D - 181 Power Cord issues and can not read CD or DVD

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660D-181 and my power cord has had problems with the connection. I plugged it in and the light on the left indicating it is plugged in and charged off and my cell phone begins to lose his load.

I must escape around and try to get it just in the right position to show him it is plugged. I have it plugged into an extension of the Strip which is connected to the main outlet (and the only outlet) in the room.

I use it exclusively in the living room so I'm close to the telephone and TV, so move it to another room will not be the answer. I'm afraid that the repair costs would be too high and the purchase of a new laptop computer is out of the question for now.

Another question, I'll have, it's that I can't read a CD or a DVD. I have Windows Media Player and Apple Quick time Player. I chose to play the media instantly, but it still does not work. I installed cc registry cleaner to see if it was a registry problem, but no joy there. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.

The most important issue to address at the moment is the power supply cord. I appreciate your help. Please, profane as computer jargon escapes me.

    > I worry that repair costs would be too high and the purchase of a new laptop computer is out of the question for now
What is this option? You want to fix it yourself?
Don t think that it s a real option since you would need good parts, hand tools, maintenance and find out how to fix it.

Since you and I don t know exactly the cost of repair, I would recommend first asking how this fix could be I mean, you can request a service in your country for a price and could decide if its worth for you

  • Re: Install Satellite P855-31V - Downgrade from Windows 7 and driver

I recently bought my first PC Toshiba laptop and after a few tries with W8, let it downgrade to the previous version, which I am owner of a valid license to the Pro edition.

I checked what wlan card I had installed (my PC "information" is below) and downloaded all of the 44 available support files.

I updated the bios to 6.50, load the values by default, changed the "secure starting" to disable and also changed the "boot mode" at the start of the csm. This allowed me to install W7.

I start to install the drivers: chipset, driver Intel, Intel Management Engine Interface, rapid storage technology driver and even more and that's when things start to get ugly--some drivers don't are not supported under W7, nvidia drivers do not recognize video card, to restart after installing some of drivers windows starts complaining and trying to fix things. A mess.

I smear the order to install it? If so, can anyone view the correct procedure? There are 44 files, some with names like 'Toshiba System Driver', 'register Patch'... I don't know when these install, as well as some other files do not have a description says.

If W7 may not work properly on this machine I'll have to upgrade W8 Pro (I need remote desktop) and will have one more time to install all the drivers, so it still takes the correct order to install drivers and utilities.

Thanks in advance for any helpful input.

All you can try is to use the Win7 drivers for old model with similar hardware platform.
The same chipset and graphics card has Satellite P850 (PSPKBE) and it was delivered with Win7.

    Please test and send feedback.
