Satellite Pro M15-S405 - password at startup

Hello!

Laptop 1 day install the password to turn on.
Need code for answers.
In our region without 1 ASP service center. Uzbekistan. Tashkent.
The reference in support of the Russia, they threw support on some companies in a Russian region, seeking to bring the laptop. I'm in Uzbekistan. And accordingly in order to carry the laptop in Russia is generally meaningless. Why deny me the decision of the problem of landmines by mail? After all in these models were the problem with passwords. To which it is possible to address the decision problem?

My mail: [email protected]

Sorry I put t speak English well.

TNX.

Hey Buddy

I understand you very well, but the point is that ONLY the ASP can help you in this case only guys can remove the BIOS password.
I wouldn't also recommend sending e-mails because you don t know who could read.
Call the guys and explain your situation and I doubt you pay 1500 Euros for the road there is also an old invention called post office.

Sorry, but I do not give any proposed solution, the ASP is your last chance to get rid of this password!

Good bye

  • Satellite Pro M15-S405 - no sound on XP

Several weeks ago my Satellite Pro M15-S405 lost all sound. No error message appears anywhere and everything looks good (on where should be and resolved volumes okay, etc..) I tried to download the current audio drivers (SoundMAX) on the Toshiba site and reinstall them, but that did not help.

I go to the principle, at this stage, that it updates of Windows caused the problem; but I could be wrong. I looked everywhere for an answer. Someone on this site has a suggestion about what to do about this situation?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    > I suppose, at this point, that is the updates of Windows caused the problem
Well, your guess could be good!

Why you n t update and install the patches Microsoft Web site as a whole?
Visit this site to MS and it will check if some patches are missing:

  • Satellite Pro M15-S405 blocks runnig the bars of memory

My M15 is to have something wrong with the memory. When I try to run the two modules at the same time the computer has errors and crashes. I can swap the memory he mods 1-the time and the two seams to work fine alone, but when both are in the same mistakes and accidents...

But the usahly of errors do not occur until it worked for 5-10 minutes when I install them. I think it's something to do with the slot B but I was wondering especially if I had to buy a single 512 MB module if I could run just that he buy se that it's all that I really need to be able to use the laptop. Or it will only cause more problems on the road?

Also if theres anything anyone can think I might try short take in get expensive repairs I understand that as well.

    Hello

Some time ago I updated my old M40 with the new 1024 MB module.
The old 512 MB module has been inserted into A slot and the new module 1024 MB has been inserted in the slot B.

After the upgrade, I got a different error messages and BSOD.
This had never happen with only 512 MB module.

I thought the new 1024Mo defective module. But then I changed the modules and inserted the 512 MB in the slot B and has 1024MB in the slot.
It's a key. Since the switch of the laptop module works very well.

Well, what I must tell you might try to check the memory using the freeware like Memorytest86. It can be downloaded for free.
As mentioned above, you can also try to use both modules in different locations.

But there is also a possibility that two modules may not work together because of compatibility issues.
In this case the replacement might help. I advise to use 2 similar modules.

  • Satellite Pro 6100 - error "password HARD drive built-in" at startup

Hi, my laptop (Satellite Pro 6100 P4 - M 1.7 GHz/15TFT/256 MB / 40 GB/DVD-CDRW/LAN/WiFi/BT/W2K or XP) started rather recently invited me with a "Built-in HARD drive password" message at startup upward. I never put no password on the hard drive in the past, though only in desperation to try to get the laptop running, have tried all the possible passwords I have ever had. Nothing works and I'm failed with a laptop dead on my hands. I would appreciate any help/advice anyone can make.

    Thank you.

    Hi Khurram

Unfortunately I think that you will need to replace your hard drive. If your laptop is definitely ask a HDD password then there is no way around it and the only way I know to recover from this situation is to send the hard drive to a specialised company that specialize in this kind of recovery (usually for forensic purposes, Police, armed forces, etc.). This can be very costly.

The easier (and cheaper) option would be for you to replace the hard drive and restore your system and your data (either from a backup if you have one, or from the Toshiba recovery disks).

    Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro L10 boot password is not the same as in HWSetup

I recently got a laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 by my employer. I entered a password and then confirm the password again in the configuration of HW from Toshiba in Control Panel of Windows XP. Then I clicked on the recommended option. No string or password was displayed in the box under Registered.

Since then, I was not able to boot up the laptop as the password that I entered Setup of HW is not recognized by the laptop started upward. I tried to type the password with caps lock, shift, and numlock on also. Are there any bugs or fault with defining a password for starting in the HW configuration utility? If there is a fault or a bug I would have preferred that the portable computer password is removed under the guarantee.

If I have to pay a Service partner.

    Hi Geoff

On this path, it is not easy to tell what's going on exactly, but I assume that your employer has implemented BIOS password. You can enter the BIOS settings by using the F2 key at startup?

The BIOS password removal is not part of the guarantee and it must be paid. In my opinion, you must bring the laptop to your employer. He probably has Admin rights and it can set up passwords on the right track.

  • Satellite Pro S750 - Bios password unknown. How can I fix?

    Hey

We have a Toshiba Satellite Pro S750 with a Bios password which is unkowen for us, we never tried the password we can think and always know luck.
One of the user who has used some how put either them as I read on the forms Toshiba sattlights have a bug which sets the bios password with informing them the user.

If anyone has any help would be much apprecated.

This bug only affected one or two Satellite models for many years, there are hundreds of models Satellite now with completely different hardware. The only way to remove the password on the S750 is to send the laptop to a Toshiba Service Center and to pay for the work.

    Hello

Don t understand what you mean by authorized. Here, you will meet common Toshiba users like me and you, and not just any ASP guy!
If you need to remove the BIOS password that I recommend you contact the ASP guys one more time and to clarify this issue.
Perhaps the BIOS should be updated after removing the BIOS password again.

  • Satellite Pro A200 - Supervisor Password Setup Utility fails

    Hello

I own a Satellite Pro A200-PSAE7E and a license to retail for Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Edition (with SP1) is installed.

Before installing Vista, I have updated the BIOS to the latest version available on the Toshiba site (http://it.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/vista_drivers.jsp?service=IT).
    BIOS version is now 2.20 - WIN32

After the installation of the operating system, I started to install different drivers and utilities to download them from the Toshiba site.

When I try to install the "utility supervisor password" Setup fails with a box of message that says "serial number is not valid.
Same problem with a different Installer: "utility of Support Flash Cards.

Someone knows how to solve this problem and what serial number is not valid?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Hana

If someone has to take care of the warning, it's Microsoft. They offer something new and they know with certainty that he could have different negative influence on the operating system running well.

Toshiba may just try to react and change has tools and utilities, but it's not easy. you will see that soon or later Toshiba will offer updates for all non-working stuff. The same is with WXP SP2.

  • Satellite Pro L10: BIOS passwords again

    Hello!

Tonight one of my friends brought me his Satellite Pro L10 and asked me to remove the user password, cose she dislikes grasp every time... OK, it's very simple! -I said. I went to the BIOS with the same password, found the supervisor password option and turn off the power. I could not enter the user password option and left him, thinking I'll fix this later... Well...

Can you imagine how I was surprised when the system says - password invalid! More... I tried to go back to the BIOS, but system asked me a password... but I deleted "Supervisor password" well, I typed the old one and it does not again!

Ok. Of course, later, I found the manual for this Satellite Pro L10, I know that it might be preferable to use the Toshiba Console and Toshiba HWSetup could be.

Tell me, please, supervisor password had priority, and now she has to remember his user password?
    Or there is something else?

    Thank you!

I studied a bit on the Toshiba knowledge site (it s very useful and interesting) and found this knowledge base article:

Check it out. Maybe it helps.

Additional, as I know if is not the BIOS password, you cannot delete it by yourself. Only the service guys are able to remove unknown BIOS password.

  • How to remove the Satellite Pro 4600 BIOS password?

A friend of mine recently bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 (PS460E-03371-EN). Unfortuately the password of the BIOS was set before the purchase and would like to know how to reset it.
The machine will not start now.
Any help as to the location of the BIOS battery or work around this problem will be appreciated.

    Hello

To remove the BIOS battery will not help. BIOS by removing on laptops is more complicated than on desktop computers. BIOS by removing the procedure depends on the laptop model and it is not the same on all models of laptops.

A lot of people get the laptop with password and to provide an accurate description how do this in the public forum is not good idea.
Have you tried to contact the person who sold this laptop and ask BIOS password?

  • Satellite Pro M15-405 - Permanent reboot cycle with 1 GB of RAM

So I have an old Satellite Pro that I needed to make it work again since its my only laptop.

I did some research and discovered that my mode has a maximum upgrade to 1 GB of RAM SODIMM. I took out the stock 256MB 266 MHz PC2100 RAM and replaced with a set of Corsair 512 MB DDR1 SODIMM 333 MHz PC2700 sticks for a total of up to 1 GB of RAM and the problem I continue to meet, it's that I can't use a barrette of 512 MB in the lower slot.
If I add the two he goes into a cycle of permanent reboot before the windows logo appears (right after the white bar loading).

How can it be solved so that I can use all the 1 GB of RAM space?

    Thank you

    Hello

Normally, the laptop should be able to handle the 1 GB of RAM, you said, but for me that it sounds like it's the new modules are not compatible with your laptop. I have good experiences with RAM Corsair in my desktop computer, but for the upgrade of my notebooks, I never used RAM Kingston.
Maybe you should try it with other modules.

In the worst cases, the other memory slot is faulty and you need to replace the motherboard :(
But I would try the other modules first.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro 6100 - code beep at startup

    Hi all

Just picked up a 6100 Pro of the Satellite with a few problems.

It lights up, he pointed out the HARD drive and I can hear the disk activity. However, the screen remains blank and a single beep can be learned after 20 sec. White screen, as I understand it, is probably the issue of Council power raging in the SP6xxx series. However, the beep I do not understand.

    Hey Buddy,

To be honest it's not easy to say what the cause of the problem because it could be everything and Satellite Pro 6100 is old enough for laptop.

You have two memory modules RAM? If so remove a module. Always try a module only at the same time and test it in the slot of RAM A and B. A module is may be defective or a slot.

If this is not the case, there seems to be a problem with the motherboard or the CPU itself. If you can exchange these things, try it yourself as a repair would be too expensive for this good old classic I think.
Second hand spare parts you can get it on eBay s worth a try! ;)

Hmm that's not easy to say what the issue might be.
Maybe the BIOS update will help you at the moment you can find BIOS 3, 7 victory on the European driver Toshiba page.
If you have a lower BIOS version installed, then I recommend an update.

It is also possible that this problem is related to some of the material; motherboard, screen, etc.
In this case the part should be replaced but first of all it of necessary to know what part is affected and I think that the technician of the ASP for this
