  Hi Linda

  As far as I know recovery image contains the Microsoft Office trial version and you can use it, I think, 60 days without activation. It can be activated if you have the correct activation code and you can enable it when you want.

  If you have this key should not be a problem for you, but unfortunately I can't say for sure because I use my own full version. What you can do is to contact the hotline of Microsoft and ask.

  What do we do Toshiba is to include this trial version in the recovery image, but everything else is Microsoft s question then maybe you should contact them first and ask for advice.

  AFAIK the preinstalled Office is a trial version!
  You cannot use the serial key you found at the bottom of the unit because the key to this series is a serial OEM key and it belongs to the version preinstalled Windows.

  So if you want to enable the office, then you will need to purchase the full license!

  I think you don't understand something wrong because the product key on the underside of the laptop belongs to your version of Vista and it s not for Microsoft Office.
  Please read what is printed on this product key sticker.

  In addition it s only a trial version pre-installed and if you want the full version you must pay for it.
  Toshiba doesn't provide laptops with a full version of office.

  I have Satellite A60 - 106 laptop with windows XP Home pre-installed. After the recent failure of windows, I used the toshiba product recovery DVD. I managed to download other software like microsoft following works, note, Norton antivirus on CD. But Microsoft Student and teacher edition 2003 CD does not open in my CD/DVD drive.

  It makes normal CD to access the noice after insertion, but is not accessible. By pressing "run" displays the error as not accessible D:\, i/o device error.
  The same CD (microsoft 2003) opens with other computers.
  So, where's the flaw and how to rectify?

  I tried all sorts of advice through the web.

  Can someone help me please?

  For me, it looks like a hardware failure. The error indicates that the drive is not able to read from the Microsoft CD-ROM.
  There must be something wrong with the lens of the drive and therefore the lens cannot read the CD drive is not accessible!
  Maybe after cleaning the lens you can use this CD.

  You could try to put the system in the previous state, but in the worst cases, you will need to run a system recovery in order to redefine the laptop to factory settings.

• Satellite of strange behavior of C670-19F - 10 Windows - keyboard

  Now that I've upgraded to Windows 10. Everything seems to work ok except the strange behaviour of my keyboard.

  When the Fn key is NOT pressed:

  (1) the keys 1, 2 do not work
  (2) the keys 3, 4 volume control
  (3) key space works do not at all
  (4) function keys behave normally (F1, F2, etc.)

  When the Fn key is pressed:

  (1) the 1,2,3,4 keys work like nymbers
  (2) space bar works like the space
  (3) function keys do nothing

  I tried to uninstall everything associated with toshiba but also by pressing Fn for 10 seconds, Ctrl + Fn, Fn-stop scroll and any other combination I could think of.

  In the BIOS there is no option to disable the function keys.
  In the HWSETUP, there is no option as well

  I'd appreciate any suggestions really. Thanks for your time.

  Since CASE WHEN SUBSTR(act,4,3) = 0 1 loc OTHER END is not in the score, why DENSE_RANK() increments?  ROW_NUMBER() behaves correctly with this CASE statement in its ORDER BY, but DENSE_RANK() does not appear.

  You're right; the expression that you called "Case" is not in clasue SCORE.  If it were, then a change in the value of 'Case' would cause DENSE_RANK generate a new set of numbers, starting with 1.  Tha't, it is clearly not what is happening here.  In this query, a change in the 'deal' is originally results increment, not start with 1.

  Don't forget the ORDER BY operation

  ORDER BY w, x, y, z

  the distinction between the lines to which none of the expressions w, x, y or z is different.  A change in one of these expressions (in general) causes a change in the results.

  In this example, 'Deal' is part of the analytical ORDER byclause DENSE_RANK, so you should expect a change in the "box" to cause a change in the value returned by DENSE_RANK.

  In this query, DENSE_RANK assigns different numbers with lines that have different values of 'box '.  Lower values of 'Case' will be assigned lower values of D_Rank, which is what you see.

  Lines with a = 14.5 and "Breaks" = 0 get a lower D_Rank (they get D-rank = 1) than the lines with per = 14.5 and "Break" = 1 (they get D_Rank = 2).

  Lines with by = 10.5 and "Breaks" = 0 get a lower D_Rank (they get D-rank = 3) of lines with by = 10.5 and "Case" = 1 (they get D_Rank = 4).

  You're right about how to get the first set of results, too.  If ORDER BY DESC is the ORDER byclause analytical together, DENSE_RANK assign the same number for all rows in the partition that have the same value of per, no matter what values are in all the other columns.

  The fact that "The case" is a CASE expression is actually irrelevant.  If you had a column, with 0 and 1 used and stored in this column in the ORDER BY clause, you would see the same behavior.

  You can physically move it to an external drive, and then install it on your other PC unless you downloaded the copy of Microsoft Office. If it was preinstalled on your PC and that you purchased Office then you should have a disk with office on it provided by the PC manufacturer.

  If you purchased a retail version, here again, you should have the discs and you can install it on their part. You must have the product key provided with the software number in order to activate the office.

  There are versions of programs running free indeed similar to Office. An example is that openoffice (www.openoffice.org), at the request of that Office is completely free to download and use. It will also open documents created in Microsoft Office.
