Satellite S50-B-12R - bad quality with white windows screen

Under 64-bit win8.1 all update.

In some windows (white background) as device, iTunes, Ccleaner... Manager display is bad.
The display is better on my Satellite A200 win8pro (7 years) and my win7pro P10 (11 years)!

But there is no problem with some software don't like Firefox, Thunderbird...

I try * everything * video settings, some other AMD/Intel HD graphics drivers but it don't change anything!
She seems to have a problem with video drivers.

Do you have any information about this?

Thank you

Systems Windows cannot properly manage the Full HD resolution
But it seems that Microsoft will fix this in Full HD in the next version of Windows 10

I bought my toshiba Satellite S50-B-12R this Saturday but the moment where I couldn't use my webcam.

I looked everywhere for my webcam drivers, but I can't find them.
Also when I look in my configuration window there not a webcam.

But once my webcam was working, I was on Skype and it detected my webcam so I used it and then when I tried to use it later it has not been detected more.

So I would like to know if there are any missing drivers or maybe the webcam is not properly connected inside the unit. And what I need to do to be able to use my webcam

    Welcome,

    Robby

First laptop was already preloaded with Toshiba picture and all the drivers and software have been installed too.
That's why driver extra installation isn t necessary.

Secondly, preinstalled Win 8.1 system contains the driver for the webcam. The driver is designed by Microsoft and part of the system.

The 8.1 win provides a webcam application that you might find on the surface of 8.1 to win.
But before using the application, you must add the webcam access and change privacy settings.

Charm-> Open bar (Win key + C)-> settings-> permissions enable webcam & microphone

Now close and reopen the webcam app. You should have your camera app works fine now

  • Satellite S50-B-12R - MOMENTUM trackpad controls

    Hello

I just bought a Satellite S50-B-12R with windows 8.1 (64-bit) yesterday, after using the Mac OS X for a few years.

It costs me little effort to get used to the differences, and what worries me is also that it seems impossible to customize the trackpad in the way I prefer, that iswithout reverse scrolling (I prefer to move down on the scroll key down rather than the meaning opposite) and secondly to disablethe ' tap to click on ' function.

I searched the forums for a while, but most people seem to be able to select / deselect a box "tapping" or "tap to click", while mine simply informs me on the fact that tapping will click, without giving me a choice of power or turn it off.

Similarly, Mac os I could choose scrolling feeling myself, but here again there seems to be no way to disable the reverse scrolling.

The only solution that would work for me I found to this day had to do something with the registry, but as I am almost new in windows still (at least for a long time) I'm a little hesitaiting to change these things already.

Is there a way to customize the way key which I have just mentioned?

Any help would be much appreciated, regards Tim

The touchpad of the MOMENTUM can be configured using the ELAN touchpad settings.
These settings are on the control panel? mouse? MOMENTUM? Options button

I found this useful momentum site where you will find the detailed steps:

Is that laptops are equipped with devices from different manufacturers as the Alps touchpad Synpatics or MOMENTUM.
Each of these manufactured products provides software clean touchpad and of course; not every utility supports the same features

  • Satellite L20 error: DVD - RAM crashes with a blue screen with the use of cd-audio

    Hello world

I have a very annoying problem: when I use audio-cd, my Satellite tends to crash with a blue screen. When it crashes, blue screen, scrolls and immediately a black screen and a restart follows.

It is probably a driver problem, because I have three audioprograms installed (Windows Media player, Sonic Stage MiniDisc and I-tunes).

Can someone give me advice? Thanks in advance

    Klaas

    Hi Klaas,

It would be useful to know what the error message is when you get the blue screen. I suggest that you disable the restart automatic installation so that your laptop stops on the blue screen and you can read the error.

To disable the auto restart: -.

    1. right click on 'My computer' icon and then click on "Properties".
    2. click on the "Advanced" tab
    3. click on 'Settings' in the section starting and recovering (towards the bottom of the window).
    4 uncheck 'automatically restart '.

Please post again all the details of the blue screen error message.

Hi, I have a problem with my pc startup. After booting, I get a message that it was impossible to start than the windows vista (black screen) and a program to start looking for the problem with the operating system and run that many times (up to 5 hours). I try to boot in F8, windows safe mode and nothing hapend (go to the black screen). Please someone want to help me?

    Hello

The reason is that Windows' MBR (Master Boot Record) is damaged or the file system. You can try to fix it:

    1. Insert Windows Vista installation DVD and boot from the DVD (you must choose Cd/Dvd startup under the 1st boot device in the BIOS, press F10 to save and exit). Restart
2, you have 3 choices. Click 'Repair your computer' to display the System Recovery window. Choose "Command Prompt" to run "bootsect.exe". Now run "bootsect/nt60 ALL".
in the command line, then Enter. A dvd with Vista disc and restart.

    It should work

  • Need driver WLAN Win7 for my Satellite S50-B-126

    Hello

I hope you all can help me.
    I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite S50-B-126
This is with windows 8.1 BUT I installed windows 7 on it.

Now, my question is which Wireles Lann driver I need to install.

I hope you can help me.

    Thank you very much

    Ken

    Hello

I ve checked the download page for your laptop and Toshiba is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so I presume that you didn t have some problems to install the proposed drivers, tools and utilities.
I ve checked the specifications specification and discover that your laptop has Intel WLAN card inside please download offered Intel WLAN driver.

    You can find it here
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD0302U00000R01.htm

If possible post us a few comments how Win7 runs on your computer.
I also hope that you created the recovery disc before you installed Win7 on this new machine of Satellite.

    Good luck.

    I request assistance:

I have a windows 7 Professional 64-bit with 8 GB of ram, despite having installed the display driver for Toshiba Satellite C50D-A-12R fair, windows 7 Professional 64-bit in the properties of the hardware components, tells me that the LCD screen is installed plug-and-play.

    This isn't a good sharpness.
Can someone help me? Technical support can update the drivers?

Thanks for your help and your response.

Benedetto Colangelo - Trento - Italy

    Hello

I guess that you did not check the correct entry in the Device Manager.
If you want to check the graphics card in Device Manager, you should not expand the area called LCD or screen, but you should check the graphic map of the area

The graphics card driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba UE driver page:
The page provides the AMD for Win 7 64 bit v 12.102.1.1 display driver - x-156947C

The Satellite C50D-A-12R does not support the external dedicated graphics chip. You should know you the Satellite C50D-A-12R was equipped with the processor AMD Kabini A4-5000.
This processor supports the graphics unit in-house own chip graphic AMD Radeon HD 8330.

Please don t be angry with me, but these graphics chips are not the best choice if it comes to playing games. The laptop was released for common purposes such as navigation in internet, by using the office application, etc.

Please don t understand me wrong; of course you can play games, but don t expect too much

  • Boots Vista black screen with white cursor and nothing else (Black Screen of Death)

After a download from Microsoft update last week, my system has rebooted. He first had a screen blue error, rebooted, reported a disk error and automatically run CHKDSK. Since then, the system has started a black with white slider screen and nothing else. This happens at startup options (Normal, safe, safe with the last command good known configuration). Not even sticky keys would come to the top. CTRL-Alt-Delete, Ctrl-Alt-Esc and all other keys has nothing did. Even with a right click.

I searched all over the web for solutions. I found (and tried) several over the past week, but nothing has worked.

    Here's what I tried...

F8 held key on boot to the top and entered the startup recovery. Ran of recovery. Initially so found of disk errors. Those fixed. Then he said he could not repair the system and reported two pilot errors.

Tried system restore. He said that I had no restore points (even if I know that I had before).

With the help of recovery options, I went to the command prompt. Asked to RegEdit and load the Software hive. Checked the connection entry Windows NT; made sure, it has been set to explorer.exe

The system, checked RpcSs Key hive. Already the NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService value

Renamed event connects winevt and not create the Logs folder

Removed the hard drive. Attached to another system (as slaves), and the registered file permissions. They have screwed everything up. The fixed file permissions and drive put back in original system.

Œuvres self-retaining keys now. Do not, however, as my sticky keys doesn't have a link to configuration.

Went back into recovery startup via the F8 key at startup. Now, when I run start recovery, it says that everything is going well and there is no problem.

I have download the hotfix from article 977675 Microsoft, but I don't know how I can apply it without being able to get into windows. I would like to contact MS e-mail or chat support, but I can't get the product ID without being able to connect (frustrating talk).

I would like to reinstall OS, but HP does not provide an installation disc with their systems (only a full restore partition). My system is backed up (with the exception of the Windows folder), but I really don't want to have to make a full recovery, as I have a lot of specialized programs and settings that would probably take me a week to re - install and re - set.

    Anyone have any new ideas?

    Hello

Here's my usual BlackScreen convenience store, because it may be that you haven't tried
or if you have access you might be able to come back and start some of them.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide
    field efforts.

Here's a video of one of them.

You can try an In-Place Upgrade (hopefully save programs and data) or a repair installation (if all goes well

    Hello

I understand that it was ok with your laptop before installing Windows 7. It is so related to hardware problem software. Can you tell if it was original iso of windows 7 or the Assembly. Have you installed all the drivers for the Toshiba driver page and the maintenance of the right installation order? What burning software do use?

Have you done this procedure mentioned in this forum:

Go to Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.
Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Reboot the laptop and wait for the CD/DVD drive would appear once again

  • Satellite Pro M40 sometimes starts with white screen

    Hello!

I'm pulling out my hair with this problem.

For no definable reason that according to me, my laptop will start with a blank screen.
Not all the time, but, seemlingly, whenever it feels like I need extra help stress on my plate.
For the most part, with perseverance (starting with or without battery, with or without the adapter, with or without pci with or without mouse usb network card and any combination of these elements), it ends by lights correctly, but sometimes Nothing that I won't get it to start and show me a screen.

My M40 is 4 months old.
Since it's purchase sent to Toshiba for repair twice for this problem, when I have exhausted myself trying to coax it into life. Whenever he was sent by saying either the problem has been fixed, or that he had no problem found/all systems ok / "it works very well for us, after testing all week."

This week [edit: it was Wednesday], I sent it to me, and Yes, I checked the trunk upwards and gave a sigh of relief that there is an image on the screen.
I wrote a letter to this topic a day or two later (that day he first gave me a screen white, but on closing down and restart, it was fine).
Today, however, not a week later, I have a white screen again.

I am reluctant to send for repair again, due to the stress involved and the time it takes and the technicians speaking it works for them.

If anyone can help, or was faced with a similar problem, please respond.

Oh, and the solution does not lie with the keys FN + F5, because I tried several times... unless there is a way to 'special' to build on them, I'm not in the running for!

[Edit]: several hours later, as a demonstration of her bored this problem is, my screen is once more working.

I went on once again, at the time and no joy. Then, after switching OFF, count to ten and the restart, eureka.

I'll update with news as it happens. If there are all the necessary specific details about "switching on the environment", just let me know.

  • Satellite C660D - 1 GR - bad video resolution

    Hello

I just bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite C660D - 1 GR last week:
    Windows 7 Home Premium
APU AMD E-300 with graphics Radeon (tm) HD 1.30 GHZ
    Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6310
    Date 28/06/2011 driver
    8.863.0.0 driver version
    64-bit operating system
    Resolution of the screen 1366 x 768

My old HP laptop has broken up, and I needed a laptop to practice my driver licence theory tests and danger (videos)
I also regularly watches tv dvdrip shows.

The only thing I realized immediately the very bad quality of the video resolution, I look at the exact same videos that my old computer, I can not even see the pixels...
On some of the dangers pilots, I can't even recognize the video details.

That's what I tried with no results
I tried to download the latest version of Directx
I tried other video players, VLC, Media Player
I tried to update the video driver
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver

    Unfortunately, this did not help

do you have any idea what I need to do now?

    Thank you

Good question but not easy to give you the right answer. Of course, you do the comparison between old and new notebook.
Out of curiosity but two books have identical display with a native resolution of same?
If yes then I understand your question, but if not, I really don't know what to say on this subject.

Put the original DVD movie or start a few videos YouTube HD and you will see that the video resolution will be perfect.
I'm scared of m this software you use s old and designed for PCs/Noteboks with old standard resolution of 1024 x 768.
