  Hi all

  I got my Satellite Pro P100 (model number is PSPAEE-00C006EN and the second digit of the serial number is '7') upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and since then, some bugs seem to have had place - can someone help me on the following:

  -L' screen DIMS increments, irrespective of the fact that I have saved my power settings to stay on FULL (battery or sector)

  1.) if the screen dim option doesn't properly work, I recommend you to reinstall Toshiba Value added Package. This package controls these functions, the keys FN and others. Visit the Toshiba page for an update!

  2.) did you check if the sound is muted if the equalizer work? In addition you can also try to update the audio driver might it work ;)

• Satellite A300D-15B - off and charging problem

  I have a Satellite A300D-15B, running Windows 7 32 bit, which has bought used recently. I encountered some problems and I hope that someone can help me with!

  I must use this process whenever the unit is unplugged the sector or charger, which is irritating and also concern that there could be trouble on the horizon.

  You wrote that your laptop runs with Windows 7 and the first question you mentioned could be linked to the operating system only. You can test one thing please? Restore factory using Toshiba recovery disc. The disc will restore original settings of the case which is pretested by Toshiba.

  If it s just a software related problem the recovery disc will resolve this problem.

  Unfortunately, it could be a malfunction of the motherboard also. Are you using the original Toshiba AC/DC adapter or 3rd party one?

• AT300-100 - speakers and sound problem

  I bought a Tablet AT300-100 and have problems with the speakers and the sound. I noticed other people online with similar problems.

  Here are the problems:

  -The speakers stop working, and the Tablet needs to be restarted for that stakeholders to work again.
  -The noise increases abruptly volume for a few seconds, then returns to the normal volume.
  -It has no sound when I get a PIN on the lock screen, even if the is set to turn the sound on the lock screen.

  I wonder if this is a bug in the operating system rather than a problem with the hardware of the speaker.
  The operating system is up-to-date. Problems continue regardless of the sound settings.

  Any ideas?

  I have Toshiba Satellite A300-20 b and I have a cooling problem. Since I have this laptop I ve been tracking the temperature of the CPU and found out I got the maximum temperature was about 80 c. The strange thing is that the cooler starts only when the CPU reaches this high temperature, if it isn't the cold remains off.

  Another weird thing is that once it is not blocking the cooler starts. It stops only if I restart or shut down the computer. Is this normal? Should I worry about something? Thank you very much for your answers.

  For me, it looks like you used not compatible, not taken in charge or bad battery.
  But you can try to remove the battery and he must walk in order to check if there is some loose contacts or something like that

  I'm running Vista (home edition) on a laptop and I'm having problems with my windows Explorer. The other day it was working fine and I have updated to service pack 2, after he installed my computer went crazy! My exporer windows keeps "not responding" and whenever he "closed the program" my office went nuts it shows not all of the icons (on my desktop) until I raised the Task Manager and the taskbar kept resetting itself to I don't know what. I uninstalled the update and it seems to work very well a bit, windows Explorer still fails sometimes well. What is really bugging me, is that a previous update messed with my sound, so sometimes I have to go into the Device Manager and disable then enable the sound to get it back (the driver is up-to-date). But sometimes the Explorer is not responding so I feel like I'm going in circles! The other problem is that after installing service pack 2 is my computer guard with "unexpected cases" and it still occurs even after uninstalling service pack 2. Does anyone have any ideas what the hell is happening? I ran all my software, adware, spyware viruses and everything else so I know that my computer is clean. It is service pack 2 or is it my computer? Also, I have an idea of what I'm doing, so I'm not a complete fool. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I don't have my 5 cups of coffee yet this morning.

  A few weeks ago I received my laptop (Satellite A210) reapair and the motherboard was changed.

  Since then, I got problem with the battery when it is inside and power cable is pluged.
  When the cable is in the laptop running on battery power I do not know why. Then when I turn it off battery led is lit Orange and the battery is charging.
  When the PC is turned on, the indicator light does not work and the battery becomes lower.

  So I wonder what the problem is.
  I read somewhere that this problem could solve the BIOS update.
  So anyone have experience like this.
  Also how is installed BIOS, I saw there is an installer for windows (so I guess it isn't hard).

  The point is that this problem occurs after the exchange of motherboard and I think what this is about.

• Satellite Pro U400 starts and overheating problems

  6 weeks ago, I bought a Satellite Pro U400. Shortly after that I bought, I noticed that the computer overheating. After 1 hour of use, it becomes very hot in the touchpad area, as well in the base of the computer and on the touchpad itself. It is very annoying because I almost burn my fingers with the touch pad.

  The problems began 10 days ago. I had been using the laptop for an hour when it suddenly turned off without notice. Power outage? I don't know Don t. I looked like a sytem of overheating protection. My previous laptop had the same problem. After a few minutes, I was able to turn it back on.

  Then it happened again a few days ago, but it took me 5 minutes to turn on. Yesterday, it happened again, and after 45 minutes without response, I went to bed. In the morning, I was able to turn it on.

  This also happens when wifi is disabled, it is not only a problem with the wifi card, overheating of the system.
