Satellite A200 - replacement battery and system now say "none detected battery.

I put a new battery in my Toshiba Satellite A200 and now it's show no battery detected and no led showing battery recharges.
Can anyone help please?

Hello

For me, it looks like you used not compatible, not taken in charge or bad battery.
But you can try to remove the battery and he must walk in order to check if there is some loose contacts or something like that

If this isn't the case then get in touch with a local ASP from Toshiba and order the battery that is recommended by Toshiba.

Welcome them

    Hello

Looks a bit like a hardware malfunction. I think because of the RAM, but before you would test and replaced the RAM modules I would recommend checking if it is not a software problem.

In this case, you need to reinstall the OS from the recovery disc. Using this disk everything will be formatted on the HDD and the laptop will be set to the factory configuration.

So if you are significant-> files on the backup HARD drive it!

If your laptop does not work as it should after the recovery procedure then simple components such as RAM must be verified

    Good luck

My Satellite A200-1AX is 3 weeks old and its LCD screen has been replaced by Toshiba Center here, to the Kuwait due to defects.
After placing the new LCD screen I notice that whenever I'm turning on and off the device, a black picture delay appears slowly and disapperaing.

Can you please tell me if this is normal in appearance as the technician in the Toshiba Service Center told me?

is there a problem with the installation of the new LCD?
I find this thing as an abnormal display when booting and the shutdown of Unity State.

Hope that give you sometimes meet me and best regards.

    Hello

It very difficult to understand how this question is similar to s

But to be honest I didn't noticed any delay return image on my laptop
If I boot the laptop, the Toshiba start screen appears and then after several seconds the notebook starts the Windows operating system. The screen immediately goes from black to blue (windows form). The same phenomenon occurs during the closing procedure

This issue is perhaps something to do with the first replacement of the screen, but this is just a suggestion

  • Satellite A200: PXE - E61 and BOOTMGR lack error appears

    Hi people,

Little problem here, I tried installing WXP vista was on my Satellite A200-1AI and it wouldn't let me. No matter how I put the bios, vista booted from the HARD drive and I couldn't boot from the boot of Windows XP Home edition cd.

    Then.

I formatted the drive with another PC. Now when the HARD drive is in my book and I am trying to boot from the cd of Windows XP Home edition, I get the following msg:

"For Realtek RTL8100E/8101E Fast Ethernet Network Adapter v1.02 (060510).
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - M0F: Existing PXE ROM.

    BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart»

Any ideas? Any suggestions would be really useful.

    Thanks for your time,

    Dave.

    Hello

You have formatted the HARD drive in another computer and the boot manager has been destroyed.
"There is no operating system on the HARD drive and, therefore, the error message: BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart" appears

The second message PXE - M0F: existing ROM PXE said that the laptop tries to start form the LAN, but it s not able to find an OS using the connection to the local network.

Why all this error messages is displayed?
Well, I think that the CD/DVD drive cannot read the CD Windows XP inserted, and therefore in the switches to LAN.

Notes; You can boot from the disc by pressing the C key immediately after that laptop startup or you press the F12 key to get the boot menu. Then, you could choose the STRANGE as a source of start-up.

If you will not be able to boot from your Windows XP CD, I assumed that the CD is down or the CD/DVD drive can not handle this CD.

  • Satellite A200 - Jabra BT620s and XP

I just bought a Jabra BT620s (for little money) and was hoping to connect it to my Satellite A200 with XP but I can't. It works great with my Nokia 6500, but the PC, although it picks up the signal, just does not connect. My Bluetooth 4 is what came with the PC.

However, there is apparently no A2DP?

    Try the following:
"Right click on the tray icon to System Bluetooth-> Options-> Security-> Custom Level-> Mode: level of link applied security."
    Set up your Bluetooth connection

  • Satellite A200-1VP - Trackpad and the control volume

    Hello

for the first time posting here so apologies in advance if I posted this topic in the wrong place or have not included all relevant information.

My question is about a Satellite A200-1VP I bought recently from a friend. Model number PSAE6E-08D02YEN. The laptop has been completely annihilated and installed Windows 7 Ultimate before being redeemed.

This seems to have brought the track pad and volume control to stop working.
Are there drivers available that I could try to help to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I checked on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp Toshiba download page, and as I can see it, your machine is fully supported for Win7 32 bit, so you need to do is install all available drivers, tools and utilities.

What version of operating system are you using (32 or 64 bit)?
You have installed all the drivers?

  • Satellite A200 - freeze occasionally and fade to the white of the screen

I have a satellite A200, bought new last year. Sometimes the computer crashes, the screen starts fading to white and darker horizontal and vertical lines appear on the screen. I pressed the power switch until it turns off so I can restart, but after the reboot, it works fine. Initially this has happened only rarely, but it's starting to happen more and more lately.

It happens very suddenly and it makes no difference, what I'm doing at the time. Sometimes it does just after the market. Does anyone know why he could do that? I'm not very technically savvy, so I would appreciate if you could explain it to me in a way I could understand :)

I heard of some people having the same problem and can be caused by faulty wiring in the monitor. If this is the problem is it likely to be covered by warrantly?

You also have this problem on an external monitor? If this isn't the case, it sounds like a problem internal monitor and I think that it should be replaced.

If your laptop is still under warranty the repair should be free for you. So in your case I would contact the nearest ASP that you can find on the Toshiba site:

  • Satellite A200: WXP Nvidia drivers are now available

    Hello

Have you downloaded the new Nvidia display driver? It is now available at the support page.

My question is: why I can not now change the brightness with FN keys with this news and official drivers?

Thanks to Toshiba for this update.

    Hello

I don't know what model of laptop you have exactly and I can't check whether the driver is available or not, but you can check it out alone on the Toshiba download page.

On the forum, there are some comments on the question of the FN keys. I didn't install WXP on my Satellite A200 but can you tell me please if you can change the brightness by using standby power options?

  • Satellite A200 - replacement of the CPU

    Hello

I have a Satellite A200-130 with CPU CoreDuo 1.86 and I think to replace to Core2Duo 2.0 mainly for better performance and virtualization options of ot.
    Anyone done this?

The replacement of the CPU is usually not very easy on laptops.
It s more delicate than the replacement on desktop computers.

First of all, you should check if your chipset supports the Core2Duo 2 GHz CPU.
Generally, you will find information on the Intel page.

Second, he must know if BIOS would support the new Core2Duo processor.
It is very important because the table fan which is stored in the BIOS which controls cooling modules. If the cooling modules n t work properly then the laptop overheats and may damage the material of the laptops.

These updates are not advisable and certainly not possible

Yes, you can upgrade your laptop up to 4 GB of RAM and it is maximum. You can use 2 x 2 GB RAM.
Toshiba recommends 2 GB RAM with PA3513U-1M2G part number.

GPU upgrade is not possible on mobile machines.

    Hey Buddy,

As far as I know Office 2010 isn't on the market yet and he s only available beta version.

You must choose an official version of the office such as Office 2007 or 2003. Both versions work well and most of the problems he's already resolved.
