Satellite U400-14Z - Bluetooth connection to Internet of Nokia 6300

Hello

I NTB-City News with Windows Vista. I install a new Bluetooth Stack, version V6.10.10 (T). Connect to the internet is possible only by a cable USB (via Nokia N6300). The Bluetooth works well, for example the Microsoft Mouse 5000. When I added the new connection by Bluetooth (pair with Nokia 6300), this new link in the table of Bluetooth, but physically, this subject did not work. The Nokia signalizated this "couple", but in the display is designation "send the possibility that data." The Nokia PC Suite program finds this phone, but without connection too. I have some have read another discussion, perhaps is the problem with the parameter 'options-security '.

Can someone help me? Thank you.

Try it if you think that something was wrong during the pairing process. Go ahead and remove the Association of your connection (Bluetooth systray icon > right click > Options > Security > view paired devices > select your connection > remove). Try to connect again. The PIN code window should appear again on the side of the mobile phone and computer laptop. Enter it again to complete the installation. You can also try different security settings if you think it would help (systray Bluetooth icon > right click > Options > Security > Custom > bind security level). In addition, I recommend having a look on the site Web of Toshiba bluetooth - HowTo section. There are some documents that describe the configuration with Bluetooth and Nokia PC suite software.

  • Toshiba Satellite U400-14Z upgrade to a faster processor - which is the most rapid possible?

    Hello.

I want to upgrade an old Toshiba Satellite U400-14Z (http://www.toshiba.eu/discontinued-p...lite-u400-14z/) a little by changing the CPU. Initially there is a processor Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 with FSB to 1066 MHz but I thought to put there P9700 or P9500. It seems that they are similar, specification is exactly, except the speed and the amount of memory cache level 2. The question is: would this work?
I also found CPU called T9900, which is the fastest of the family. However, T-line requires more power than the line P, 25W to 35W in comparison. Is it possible that she would work in this phone?
Maybe there's even some CPU more Rapids that would fit. Y at - it all? I'm looking for the maximum possible speed.
    Thank you for the answers.

I found Intel® Core 2 Extreme Processor QX9300 who might be compatible. It has 4 cores and a thermal power of 45W design, compared to P8400 of TDP 25W. I suspect that the cooling of this laptop is insufficient to be able to disperse the money.

  • Satellite U400-15B hangs on the Internet and make multimedia keys touch

    Hi all

Had two problems with my U400-15B which I hope to solve.

    (1) the first problem is that I noticed that my internet sometimes seems to weigh on Internet Explorer, when using the Web site who have a couple of images e.t.c.
It freezes but the rest of the laptop works very well - I want to say you can go to the start menu and other programs very well. However, if you open Microsoft Word, while this is the case, it will take a little more time to load than normal upward. Anyone know what this might be or how I can fix this problem?

I use Vista Home Premium 32-bit and the laptop has 4 GB of RAM / thus, Intel Centrino 2 P7350 - is powerful enough.

    (2) the second problem is that when I press the 'sound' button, the white lights and the white bar above the touchpad become informed. When I press on it again once the lights come back but he is not mute. Only when the laptop is put in standby mode and then woke up once again, the key work properly. All the others work fine. Does anyone know what is the cause?

I exchanged this laptop 3 times now and each of them did question (2), but surely this isn't normal.

Any help or advice to address these problems are very much appreciated.

    Thank you

    (1) have you tested a different internet browser? For example, Firefox.
I use Firefox for years and never had any problems with it. I like Firefox over Internet Explorer, it s faster and you will get a lot of modules useful for her ScrapBook.

    (2) have tried to update the BIOS? Look on the Toshiba site to find a newer version:

I have a Satellite U400 too and it works without problems.

  • Satellite U400 - S00 Wireless connection problem

I have a Satellite U400, which was lowered to XP Business.
Wireless networking seems to work only intermittently.
I can see several netoworks available and that you have selected the office, wireless access Point to connect automatically. It is the only network that I listed for to connect you.

The laptop often fails to connect the access point, often trying to connect to another nearby wireless device unsecured.
If I manually select the office network and click 'Connect', it asks for the key wireless (I have enter) and then it connects briefly, gets an IP via DHCP and disconnects quickly about 10 seconds later.

If I repeat the reconnection attempts, sometimes I am able to keep the connection for several hours, but if I stop and restart I have to repeat the same procedure. I downloaded what I think is the most up-to-date intel wireless drivers, but I would appreciate a pointer to the most recent.

I'm not using the ConfigFree, just the menu of Windows Wireless configuration base (Zeroconf service)

This is driving me crazy. Help, please.

    Hello

I found this thread and I would like to my experience with the U400.
Yes, I have a U400 and I installed Win XP Pro.
I have an Intel WLan card and I already updated the driver WLan to the State.

    I found new drivers here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

I must say that my WiFi works without problem! I have the latest version of the BIOS and I never noticed any problems.

I must also say that I have don t use tools of any additional WLan configuration but ONLY options specific to Windows and its ok.
I have disabled the Intel ProSet utility Msconfig and it does not load at the beginning.

I have configured my OS and laptop computer ONLY connects to my wireless private network.
Of course if my private Wlan is not available it automatically connects to a WLan unsafe in my range.

    Hello

You have posted a lot of info that confuse finally
Generally, the router must manage a pool of IP addresses, the IP addresses should be assigned automatically to each laptop computer that tries to connect to the router.
So in your router settings dynamically assign addresses IP must be activated.

In addition, you should check if the MAC address filtering was not activated because this could cause the laptop to connect.

The WLan connection properties contain the TCP/IP protocol. The TCP/IP protocol contains a few options. Here, you must make sure that all (IP address, gateway, DNS) is set to obtain automatically.

  • Satellite P100: How to connect to internet via WiFi?

I read a post above that says that the sticker on the bottom of the laptop ' wireless network: no w/l ' means that there are no installed wireless.
I'm fairly certain that my Satellite P100 has installed. I customized my phone, ensuring that I have added wireless for the school.

I have an on-off switch for the wireless on the case. Also, when I entered a zone wireless for the first time, a program (Q-Connect) came.
I reinstalled Windows XP and wonder if it is a software that is missing (which has been the case with other similar programs audio).

This could be the operator error?
    I don't know anything wireless.
How to connect to wireless internet?

    Hello

First, you must be sure that your laptop has WLan card to 100%. Go to the Device Manager and check the network adapters section. If you will see card WLan (intel or atheros) then you unit definitely has the Wlan card.
To use the WiFi network, you must configure your Wlan router. Consult the manual.
You must then activate the Wlan switch on the side of the laptop and use the combination FN + F8 to select the WiFi network.

For the other steps, you can also check this forum wireless. Here you will find a lot of descriptions.

  • Satellite U400 - cannot bluetooth speaker pair using the Toshiba BT stack

    Dear all,

I would be very happy to help / advice you can offer the following.

    I have a U400 I got about 10 months ago.
The built-in laptop bluetooth that I keep all the drivers up to date via the toshiba tempro tool.
Last night, I got a bluetooth (Gear4 blackbox) speaker that I thought would be easy to pair it with bluetooth. This speaker uses the A2DP.

-The wizzard "Add new connection" found the speakers but could not perform a pairing no matter how many times I tried.
This could be due to my existing drivers are not currently supporting A2DP? I'm already using a bluetooth mouse without any problems

-Try to solve this problem, I downloaded the latest Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (Version 6.40.02) and I tried to install. I have not tried unistalling anything until this... I just run the installation. This has got to a point and got stuck trying to install the bluetooth file transfer. I had to cancel and then use system restore to get back to where I started. Should I unistall existing bluetooth before installing the battery Bluetooth Toshiba? What should I do?

-Toshiba laptop computers come with Toshiba Bluetooth Stack already installed?

I am really grateful for any help and advice

    Thank you very much

    John

    Hello
    > Toshiba computers laptops come with Toshiba Bluetooth Stack already installed?
    Of course!
All laptops that are equipped with internal BT module have a preinstalled BT stack!

But to be able to use Bluetooth, enable it first using the FN + F8 key combination

This key combination allows the Wlan and BT, so be sure you have chosen the BT and not Wlan ;)

  • Satellite U400-177 - low connection using Intel Wifi Link 5100

    Hello

Recently, I have problems with my wifi connection.

I don't know why, but now the connection is erratic, when my connection was in the recent past 30Mbps is now 1, 10 or 20 I'm talking about 1 feet near the router.

I have the latest version of the 14.2.0.10 driver and cannot find a solution.

I think the change of the card with a new one as the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230.
Don't you know it is compatible?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As much as I know there is no information on the compatibility between the Wlan card and laptop computer.
So you have to test yourself

But if the BIOS recognizes this Wlan key correctly, then it shouldn't be a problem to use this
According to the Wlan card specifications, this card allows connectivity to 2.4 GHz to access the old 802. 11 b / g networks and 5 GHz for higher speeds and greater capacity of the network.

However, I m the U400 laptop owner and my WiFi works correctly.

But I ve disabled all features for the Wlan that allows using the card with the best performance of energy saving. You can disable this in win 7 power management.

  • Satellite L350 - does not connect to internet

    Hiya all

Had the laptop about 3 months now and still connected fine to my wireless internet. But recently he has stopped to connect to wireless internet.
I can't find my wifi connection, but it does not connect to it. My parents have the same laptop, purchased at the same time and can use it on the same wifi with no problems.
My sister has also no problems to connect to my wifi on his cell phone, neither does my Xbox 360 or my iPod Touch.
I can connect my laptop directly via ethernet to the router, but it's not ideal for me, and also I couldn't find automatic updates to download.

Can someone help me with this please?

    Thank you very much!

    I agree with Akuma.
Try to update the things said Akuma.

Visit the Toshiba for the BIOS and driver update WLAN:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com => support download & => download drivers

The firmware on the router, you can find on the site of the factory.

  • Satellite U400 - error - Bluetooth is not started

I used my u400 3 months without problem...
Then all of a sudden happened several problems with bluetooth...

When I tried to use BT for example OBEX, I got the error msg: "Bluetooth has not begun."
I tried to reinstall the driver for bt, but I couldn't. I got this error msg: 'Please insert the battery BT '. So I decided to reinstall windows vista with the recovery disk. On the new installation of vista, there is no pre-installed bt driver. So I installed the drivers and everything was going well for 2 days...

Now, bluetooth does not work still... can NOT reinstall drivers becouse of error msg once again (Please insert battery in LV) (of course, the wifi switch is on)... The interesting thing is that in device manager is no BT hardware...

    Any ideas?

    Hey Buddy

I have a U400 too and I never had problems with BT
I updated the BIOS to the latest state
    Did you do that too?

Otherwise you can try to update the BIOS
Also I recommend that you enable the BT using the FN + F8 key combination
Using this button, you can turn on and off Bluetooth and WLan

    Check it!

  • Satellite U400 and WXP - No WLAN LAN not internet

Hello everyone and thank you for reading my post.

I just bought a new Satellite U400 - 12R PSU40E and installed quickly clean Windows XP 32-bit with SP2, the installation was flawless after changing HARD drive in compatibility mode mode. Downloaded and installed all the drivers from this site for my model which included the Realtek network drivers for the Marvel Yukon for the LAN and wireless. No yellow dot in the currency manager and the system is just perfect.

However, for the life of me, I CAN NOT connect this bloody thing for any LAN or WLAN, the funniest is when I connect the LAN cable in my office in it, the little icon in the status bar displays connected and all of the ip addresses are correct, same COMODO starts to automatically download the updates and full updates after a while but I can't surf the internet to all.

I even installed Firefox and chrome and with any 3 browsers I can browse the internet, even if all the anti virus, COMODO, or windows firewall all turns off.

Please help me in anyway or advice or pointers I might have missed.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Reza.

    Thanks for the comments! :-)

I had the same problem as you for years. I had Zone Alarm and if I close this application I do not have access to internet. Thus, the application should still work.

However, I hope you don t also this problem.

  • Satellite U400 - can connect but the web pages are not displayed

I have Toshiba Satellite U400 with Vista. I can't access the internet via the wireless network in my home.

My computer connects with the network and the signal is excellent but Internet explorer is never able to display the web page. I followed the instructions to diagnose connection problems. I reset the network connection Windows network adapter, as suggested. He said while there still seems to be a problem with your connection, he tried a repair but the problem persists. He cannot communicate with the first DNS Server (212.77.192.59).

My colleagues can access the internet with their computer, and I had no problem recently with connecting to other wireless networks in cafes and hotels.
    Can anyone help?

Have you tried another browser like Firefox or have you only tried only Internet Explorer?

You have DHCP or a static IP address? If you have DHCP make you you get the DNS server address automatically.
If you have a static IP address, you must change the DNS address.

In addition, you should try to update the driver for your laptop WiFi. See the Toshiba WLAN portal for an update:
