  • Satellite U400 - the webcam no longer works

Hello guys here is my sudden probloema!
    A year ago I bought a laptop
    TOSHIBA - Satellite U400
with s.o. WinVista 32-bit and webcam built-in chicony etc...
Last year, everything worked properly, but since a few days, the webcam no longer works.
Whenever I try to open it, a message from the cam of management software that says "Webcam driver open fail, please reboot or the computer room.

I tried to do all this: aggioronato and downloaded the drivers from toshiba, uninstalled the program and re installed the webcam...! notebook bios set to day...! useless!
the strange thing... Although going into Device Manager... the webcam is not there...! But if the launch seems open just then check what caz... Caveat!

    Gan you help me?
    Graziee

If the cam is not listed in the devices (imaging devices) Manager, this normally means that the hardware is defective. It is possible that there is problem with the cable of the cam. Try to bring back the screen and check if the cam will be recognized again.

  • The Firefox Button is gone. How can I get that back so we can use our bookmarks?

Our menu bar disappeared and therefore the Firefox button. How can get back us them?

You should always have the orange Firefox button or the classic menu bar.

If none appears, it is possible that Firefox switched mode full-screen. The F11 key toggles between full screen and normal views.

To restore the classic menu bar, press the Alt key or press F10 to display temporarily, then use view > toolbars > menu bar.

  • Satellite A660-149 illumination buttons will not work.

    Hello
Until today, I had no problem with this great machine. But now, on random, the lighting buttons are simply not. I managed to make it to the light, and when I start the machine upward, they seem to work. However, when he enters the office, they are brilliant, but does does not (except for the volume buttons). I also noticed that I can't turn off my touch pad, which is a bit annoying.
It is possible that I have to move these buttons somehow, but I don't know how...

Please open Toshiba Assist and OPTIMIZE option, below HardwareSetup tool. Check if the settings button is enabled or disabled.

In the worst case, you can reinstall VAP and everything should be OK again.

You have the same problems with Toshiba command buttons by using the image of preinstalled Toshiba?
I think that the image of Toshiba would solve this problem

I have a U400 with XP and Vista OS (dual boot) and all my buttons work properly; XP and Vista.

So it must be a problem with your base of registry or something like that

When this value added package is uninstalled all buttons works with WMP, but during the installation - do not.
Illumination power button is not working do not by the press.

This means support to toshiba button does not work properly with vista.

I don't have these problems with XP

    Hello

As far as I know, you can enable and disable the lighting in the BIOS.
Go to BIOS and check if you can activate it.

By the way; you said that buttons don t work with Vista.
Have you tested this with Vista OS preinstalled Toshiba?

    You should do this!

  • Satellite A300 the Touch buttons do not work as I had

    Hello!

My sister bought this laptop amazing for me and since the date I got it (5 months ago), I was not able to use the touch keys on the top of the keyboard. At first, I thought I was doing something wrong and that I had to activate, but I read the entire manual and I couldn't get an option to activate it. I use Windows Xp Professional with service pack 3. Please help me as soon as possible. I listen to music a lot while I'm working with my computer and it would allow me to save a lot of time to get these buttons to work.

    Thanks in advance.
    Denise

    What about BIOS?
Did you upgrade to the latest version?
    If this isn't it!
Otherwise the laptop must be checked by a technician ASP if the keys have never worked in the past...

  • adjust the brightness of the screen button is gone

My netbook is an atom processor. It was running win7. everything was fine. Then I created win8 and see the brightness of the screen is missing the power plan option. In the option to the mode 'sleep' also disappeared. Then I created win 7 again, but the condition is unchanged. I can't change my screen brightness. Give me a solution

You need to be much more accurate, if you need detailed help someone. "MSI Netbook", does it? - http://www.msi.com/product/nb/U180.html#?div=Specification

If so, click on the "service and support", then "Download" links, or perhaps here - http://www.msimobile.com/level2_phaseout.aspx?id=3

Or click on the "about MSI" "contact us" link and ask them. Probably your best bet.

I don't deal with specific netbooks MSI, but I know that with netbooks Samsung, some drivers for intel GPU would work OK for brightness adjustment, and some wouldn't.

  • How to abort Planar Tracker when the 'Cancel' button is gone?

Sometimes the screen is is more gray while the tracker works and it doesn't seem to be ANY way to abandon at this moment here...  On a long shot of 5 k, it may mean being stuck in a useless piece for up to 30 minutes.  Certainly there must be a shortcut keyboard or something, but nothing I tried works... ESC cancel key, delete all keyframes of follow-up, pause key, space bar... you name it.  Even delete this primer grade... and still Speedgrade is stuck for something which doesn't even exist anymore for follow-up.

They really don't pay attention to these, and the positions they get play a part (though obviously not the only one) in the choice of which is worked on. More they get, the more likely it gets attention. Please do not hesitate to post. I did (and perhaps several times over the months...) on the no shall we say perfect condition of the staves in CS6 and the first version of the CC. And published the odd... uh... thread here all this and a few other things or five or six. Well, the new probes I find rather more usable and Dennis was happy to show it to me in the demo at NAB show last year. I was kinda wondering if he would rather grab my throat instead, but he was just happy to show me the new toys... Tools... Well, whatever they are.

And something you can call needs a way of the United Nations-the invoke.

  • Satellite P500-1DZ: how to set up the media buttons?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Is it possible to configure these tactile media under my power button buttons? I use iTunes for my music and wants to be able to jump the tracks/pause reading that, for now, only work for windows media player.

Im kind of a fool when it comes to computers so would like a step by step guide.

    Thank you

    Hi Joe11,

Generally, buttons are designed for Windows media player and the Toshiba DVD player as you can read in the user's manual.

They also work with Winamp as written Timox, but that's why you must change the configuration of Winamp.
So the same thing you have to do with iTunes. Maybe you will find such an option, that they allow to use the illuminated buttons.

    Check this box!

  • Satellite U400 - after update BIOS lighting lights

Since the update the BIOS on my U400-15E (Vista 32), lighting of the multimedia keys, touchpad always turn after the restart, recovery from the sleep or Hibernate. Touch the illuminance on the off button once does that second touch them will turn off until the next reboot.

Illumination is disabled in the configuration of the bios and also through HWsetup. After reboot/wake up, without touching the illumination button, accessing the illumination in HWSetup tab / illumination is shown as turned off even if it's on. Touch the power button can toggle illumination to without changing the real light on keyboard. Next key activates / deactivates them both off.

This isn't a pain important but very frustrating. Any ideas?

    Hello

A friend of mine had a similar problem with the buttons of the illumination and the reason was an update of Windows or software that is not compatible.
Anyway, he did also reinstall the VAP and updated the BIOS but no luck. At the end of the story he reinstalled Windows using recovery disc HARD option and everything worked very well.

Maybe a new facility with Toshiba Recovery disk or HARD drive recovery option can help you, buddy.

    Good luck!
