  I recently bought a new computer. Adobe has not been installed. So, I downloaded Adobe Reader DC.  I'm having a hard time finding how to save a Word 2010 document in PDF format.  Why can't launch the Word document and save to the PDF format without the tool bar on the right side of the screen.   I've been unsuccessful open the Word from Adobe document and save as PDF.  Adobe is no longer free? Do I have to purchase the product in order to save a Word document to PDF?  Thank you.

  1. what type of database data is best for storage of MS-Word and PDF docs? CLOB?
  2. How can the user see that the file has been downloaded? In other words, how can they see the name of the file has been downloaded? I want to show this on the page for later viewing. I downloaded a document, but later, I have no way to see that the document has actually been downloaded.   This does not create an editor in the browser, it simply creates a process simple upload/display. For a WYSIWYG editor that manages the PDF format or doc, you need something much more sophisticated, and I can't propose something here.

  I installed Chome. There is no question to open the Word or Excel document stored in Sharepoint
