Save for Web is now up to GIF on each record?

Up to the latest version, the save for Web dialog box remember the type of file that you saved last as. Now, every time I open it... interrupt my workflow, it is up to the pretty spectacular GIF format that I use save for Web several times a day to record versions of the wired models.

Anyone else seeing this?

I do not see any place to set a default file type save for web.

Am I missing something?

I don't understand the reasoning behind this change. People generally use the same type of file when they export and RARELY is it GIF more. But even if the GIF was still popular, I would say it is much more common that you export the same type of file most of the time that put permanently.

Gah

(edited for typo)

I created a SCRIPT to save for Web command, set my settings to JPEG

and added a shortcut to my Action for quick access

It worked perfectly

Hope it will Help

Anyone know why (a) ' save for web' is now "legacy" (under export) and (b) the question of whether something will replace it?

I know, it sucks. That's what I found:

From the 2015 version of CC in Photoshop, the file > save for Web option has been moved to the File > Export > save for Web (legacy) alongside new export options.

For these new export options, see export of work plans, layers and more.

and this is the link need you:

Using Photoshop | Export of work plans, layers, etc.

It is related to the new option of work plans they have.

  • GIF/save for Web problem (PSE 7)

I tried searching for an answer to this problem, but nothing seems to fix everything that happens.

Recently, I had to replace my laptop and from Windows XP to Windows 7.  I transferred the PSE 7 from the old system to the new system and have had no problems with it - until now.  I have an image in format Photoshop 52 - layer I want to save as an animated .gif, with each layer as a different image.  File > > Save As has the ability to save layers as frames, but if I check it, then click on 'Save', nothing happens.  Nothing at all.  On my old system, I would get a new dialogue with options like the quality, duration by frame, loop, etc., but that doesn't happen any more, and there is nothing to save (if I'm going to find the new .gif file, it's just not there). If I do not choose "Layers in images", dialogue .gif does so very well and it has no difficulty to save it as a static .gif file.  But it seems that she won't just save it in animated format.

I'm having the same problem with "save for Web".  Or the option of the file menu or typing command will bring up dialogue to let me record this way.  He thinks maybe a second, but does nothing else and does not record the image.

I tried to reset the layout, just in case the dialog box has been moved somewhere that I wasn't just to see and I tried to reset the preferences to save it for the Web, but none of these things worked.  No explanation as to why a .gif animation 'layers as images"is the only format that is not saving correctly?

I also tried old connections animated that I created with XP, and they will not re - save as animation connections either opening.  I get her "do you want to save changes" dialogue, but clicking on 'Yes' does nothing and does not record updates.  I am at a total loss for why this feature no longer works.

If you right click on the shortcut of items and choose Run as administrator,

It does make a difference or not save for Web work?

Registration of the Web dialogue box is the same dialog box that you would get when checking the layers as frames

in the Save as dialog box.

  • When you save the file GIF grace to save for Web how can I save the original?

    Hello.

When you save the file GIF grace to save for Web how can I save the original?

I need the original and not optimized.  Help, please

    ilyag58620179 wrote:

But I need to GiF animation file

And by definition, a GIF image is optimized! A GIF is not the same size of the PSD file, and you are mistaken in thinking that you want it to be. If you are trying to achieve the slightest loss of quality, regardless of the size of the file, then you need to adjust your settings to save for Web.

  • Animated GIF > save for Web (legacy) ends too large

I created an animated GIF on a work plan which is 768 x 90, but the Dimensions of the Document indicate 1456 x 416 (a lot of the images fly in and "shrink").

When I export as a PNG or JPG image it only exports the work plan, so that it remains the size I want to (768 x 90); but when I export > save for Web (Legacy) which is the only way to create an animated GIF AFAIK, it is exported to 1456 x 416.

How can I get to the exit of the GIF animated image to the size of the artboard? Thank you.

New export > export as a workflow is not animated gifs, currently exporting. It's probably something that will be supported in the future, however.

To export a gif animated image in PS using Photoshop CC 2015, do not work plans. Please use export > save for Web (legacy) option without work plans. The backup of the Web feature levels is not support work plans and probably never will be. Instead, we will continue to improve and to the export as a workflow.

  • 'Save for web' seems to be stuck on gif - how to fix?

    Hello

I've just updated my Photoshop CC 2014 (today) and hoped that this problem should go away.

When I "save for web" for the past weeks, the changes that I have on the right do not affect the image. Saving to gif format and do not change size, etc. as before.

See the screen shot comparison. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Your screen Capture Png leader showing save for Web in high quality Jpeg setting has a color of the monitor profile.  This seems strange to me. You wrote that with these settings save for backups of Web, an image. gif.jpg not.  You did not post the Gif, nor capture the current backup file that record the dialogue for web displays before the Save.  If indeed save for Web but one gif not a .jpg file try to reset your user ID Photoshop Settings.

Also what color space are you publishing in?  Image png you posted has a display profile not a normal color space, changing in like sRGB, Adobe RGB or ProPhotoRGB... Image posted on the web should have colors sRGB in the and do not need a color profile.   A PNG file on the web with a display color profile is not what one would expect to see...

  • Save for Web file default in Illustrator CC 2015.3

Following the upgrade to Illustrator CC 2015.3, whenever I want to export my work using ' export > save for web... "it is by default in GIF file format In previous versions, it is lacking in any format that you used previously, but now it always goes to the GIF format.

I have made online and product and can't find anyway to change that. It's a minor change, but when you are exporting multiple images in the creation of digital assets for marketing campaigns is incredibly frustrating and lose time when you must always choose the type of file you want.

I've noticed this time when you use Illustrator at home on my PC and Mac at work. There is the option "Export for screens", but that can be a bit of a faff, especially when you have to go and rename each file after export.

In short, is there a way to change the default file format 'save for web', says PNG?

We have released a fix for this problem. Please update.

  • Is it possible to preset on high JPEG when you use "save for Web". » ?

    Hello

I use photoshop elements 10. When I'm ready to save the image under "SAVE for WEB" can I preset it 'JPEG HIGH' cos right now it will pop up in "GIF".

When I use the PSE2, I am able to launch as JPEG HIGH. Now, I have to click the popdown menu to select 'JPEG high '.

You need to right click the icon of the PSE Bureau and choose "Run as Administrator".

Then, open an EPS file, use save for Web, and change all the settings to what you prefer. Hold down the Alt key and the 'Done' button will change to a button "Remember." Click it, and then save your image. The settings will be saved and you don't have to rerun PSE as an administrator.

  • "Illustrator save for Web" vs "The White Stripes!" hell yes - how to get rid of those scratches?

    Hey there

I'm fairly new to Illustrator and I wanted to create a vector logo based for its use in the press a web.

If the early hours have been a lot of fun and learned so much just to try - but now im stuck. I wanted to save the result to the web / devices and if I still get some white stripes in the .gif image. I guess it comes from framing of the image and there is a solution to this problem just by making a few settings.

But like I said after that much time lost on desperately trying to solve - I NEED YOUR HELP! so thank you much!

You have pixelated you art in Illustrator and crushed the art to re-record the art after the pixelation it?

Or is it still all vectors?

If you have Photoshop so this and see if it solves the problem.

Open it in Photoshop as a smart object

  • Shares of CS5 how to insert 'save for web' item of menu with break

    Hello

I did a simple crop, resize, sharpen action today, but when I added the registration for the web stage that I couldn't work out how to get a break to allow the user to manually insert a file name change prior to registration does not happen. On the contrary, upon registration of the action, it seems I can only insert the item of menu Save for web with step registration enabled. To then change the name of the file, I need to go to the directory and rename the file manually.

I wish that my action to make a break in the save for web window and devices so that I can make the change file name, tweaking the compression settings and sometimes change the type of file (for example the png or gif rather than jpg)... and then save.

    Probably very simple to make...

When you save your action, instead of

Insert the menu item to save for web,

Use save for web and save a picture.

Then in the Panel actions, turn on the toggle dialog box.

Now, when the action is played, recording the web dialog box will open

and you can change the settings.

  • Save for Web

    Hi Forum

With the new update to export to save the web, I was wondering if anyone knows how to save the settings so that it is not automatically set to save as a GIF file, I like it to save in JPEG format all the time, any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's what I've provided to solve it,

I created a SCRIPT to save for Web command, set my settings to JPEG

and added a 'shortcut' to my Action for quick access

Hope this will help until it is fixed in future updates.
