Save Images on hard drive

I'm creating a CD that has a library of images that article which is password protected (I don't want the library must be accessible at all).

The picture library is composed of small thumbnails that display a larger version when the thumbnail is selected. Is it possible that when the big picture is displayed, you can click on it and save it on the hard drive?

Thank you.

  • Why firefox has slow response when I save images on hard drive?

I have windows 7 64 bit and Mozila firefox worm 17.0.1. I have the following problem. When I try to save an image from a site (right mouse click and save as) the disk hard from my pc, firefox response is slow. It takes about 6 to 10 seconds. I thought that it was a matter of file size, but it turned out that it was not relevant because it was images of 10 KB to 500 KB. I did the following:
    -clear history
-clear the firefox cache and the cache folder in my profile
-Delete the downloads.sqlite and localstore.rdf files
    -J' changed the browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone and services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone false
    -clear the downloads window
    -Disable all add-ons

After all this, the problem remains
Then I started firefox in safe mode (help-> restart with the disabled... modules). The problem remains.
Then I disabled the windows firewall and Microsoft security essentials (real-time protection). I don't have any other antivirus or firewall on my pc. Nothing happened.

Then, I created a new profile (reset firefox). Nothing happened. A last attempt, then, remained to be done. Restart in safe mode. So I followed these steps.
I ran msconfig and disabled Microsoft Security Client to start tab and Microsoft antimalware Service on the services tab. So, I did a boot in safe mode with network support and disabled windows firewall. Guess what. Nothing happened.

I noticed that when I tried to record images, in the process, there was a significant activity of hard drive (the hard drive activity led indicator was constantly lighting) and firefox in the upper left corner, shown the message does not for about 6 to 10 seconds. You understand that saving a picture of 19 Ko in 10 seconds is not normal.

Is - this problem has to do with the cache? The disc is a SSD (solid state drive). Do you think that it would be preferable to redirect the in-memory cache? (I have 6 GB of total RAM). This problem was also in previous versions of firefox, but I think that with this version, the problem is more common. This is not the case with all the photos, but it happens with more than 65% of the images.

It also happens when loading a web page, but it could be a question of a heavy web page that uses a lot of resources in my system, while loading. The problem is the same. Constant hard disk activity and it takes time to load the web page. The problem with the loading of the web page, is not as common as with saving images.

I think it's a question of management of the cache. What is your opinion?

    Thank you.

The cause of my problem was the jump lists, which has Windows 7. There are two types of jump lists, automatic or custom. Automatic jump lists caused the slow decline in firefox via Windows Explorer. Finally, it was a windows problem exploring and not firefox. Windows 7 introduces many new features that cause slow system performance. In any case, the solution to the problem is to follow the steps:
    1. open my computer and on the address bar paste the path: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
    2. press CTRL + a
    3. press SHIFT + DELETE and delete the entire folder
I think the respective windows Explorer jump list is one that begins with 1b4dd67f29cb1962, in which case you do not want to delete the list of every jump in the folder. If you use firefox, download a file and then go to the above mentioned path and view the files by date. The most recent file must be the correspondent with firefox.

    Hello

A handy utility to view all the files on your PC is called Commander free of charge, on the link below, because it displays the files that the operating system normally hides and has a search function.

Download the zip file on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/PHP/download.php?id=107872&a=7122339&tag=601108&loc=10

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Please note that If you have a 64-bit installation, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi on the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Once done, open your download folder, right click on the zipped file, choose 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok.  Open the newly extracted folder and double-click Setup to start the installation.

  • Can I save one external hard drive to another on a mac?

I have just changed Windows for iMac and I have no idea of the backup of the system on a mac.

I have an external hard drive that is used for the pictures I use Photoshop and Lightroom. I want to know how I can backup this disc on an another external hard drive and update only the files that have changed on the original disc.

It would be also possible to save the iMac to a third external hard drive?

I would really appreciate the help.

The best way to save your Mac's Time Machine. It can save the Mac gradually and keeps a history of backups, so that you can go to different moments in time when you restore your Mac.  Time Machine can also include external drives to the backup, see this link: the basics of the Mac: Time Machine

If you want to save your Media Player separately use cloning software for updating a copy cloned, for example carbon copy clone.

  • Equium A300D - how to save on another hard drive?

I just got an alert Tempro my 'C' drive is full of more than 75%. My laptop (Toshiba Equium A300D) seems to have 2 hard drives, "Vista C:" label, and an another 'E:' labeled 'Data'

The 'C' drive appears currently 31 GB on 117 GB of free, when the disc of 'E' indicates 108 GB GB 113.

Is it possible that I can save documents to the disk 'E', which has a lot more free space, while retaining my existing directory structure? At the present time, all my diirectories and its subdirectories, including Vista 'Documents', 'Music' folders etc are on the 'C' drive, and I really don't want to end up with two sets of directory structures.

    Hi BlissC

You can save your documents, photos, etc. on the second partition. So you can save disk space for applications that you install on the first partition.

Just right click on each file that is stored in your user directory (e. g. music, documents, photos, downloads, etc.), and then choose Properties. There you can change now where the file should be saved.

I also moved my documents on the second partition. :)

  • Save on external hard drive

I used the back upward in my windows xp professional (version 5.1, sp3).  It seemed to be working (he went through all the files), but when I checked my external hard drive nothing has been saved.

I want to be able to put in place so that I can save every day or every week.

    Hi Danimama,

1 have you tried with another external hard drive?
    2. using any third-party backup program to backup?

You must follow the following steps until you can run the backup.

    1. you can try to temporarily disable your anti-virus and malware during execution of the backup.
    2. check if the external hard drive has bad sectors on it.

    Step 1:

Run a chkdsk on the external hard drive and check for errors.

Failed hard drive. Brought new and try to make a system image restore. Boot using the Windows 7 repair disk. Start the image recovery. Work for a minute or two and gives me the following error.

Windows backup cannot extend or mount the recovered volume file system. (0 x 80780124), I have win 7 disc because it did not come with the computer, I created an ERD and multiple system images as back up but I am now stuck.

    Help!

    Hello:

I can't help you with why the image of the system will not work, but here's a way you can reinstall W7 by using the product key of W7 25 characters on your PC case.

Make your own plain W7 x 64 installation media.

Here is the link to the download site of Microsoft for the W7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 ISO file.

    http://MSFT.digitalrivercontent.NET/win/X17-24209.ISO Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 English

Make sure you get all the 3. XX GB of the file to download.  Sometimes it reports 'Download complete', but you do not have the entire file.

Burn the file on a DVD using the option of the program of your burner burn DVD file ISO then the DVD is bootable.

Or you can use this tool to transfer the ISO to a flash USB 4 GB or DVD drive.  The tool also performs the bootable media.

Then install the drivers and software available that you need your PC support and driver page.

  • Image portable HARD drive for transfer to the new computer portable HARD drive on the same laptop

    Location:

    Laptop was to receive the new HARD drive more big;

Configuration is complex and has a lot of data and SW engineering.

Own re - install would take too long.

In operating systems earlier I just created an image, installed the new HARD disk and restored the image.

In Vista, it does not. New HARD drive with image does not start. (Partition is correctly selected as active)

Tried other methods, including Robocopy but without success.

Sysprep is the right solution? If so, how will this affect users profiles and installed applications?

    Thank you

    Paraxis

    Hi Paraxis,

Whenever we use the system image and restore from it, the hardware must be same, as has already been made to backup. The hard disk partition should also be in the same size.

You can use Sysprep on your computer and check if that helps you solve the problem.

Preparation system (Sysprep) tool is a technology that you can use with other deployment tools to install Windows on new hardware, operating systems. The Sysprep tool prepares a computer for imaging of disc or delivery to a customer of the configuration of the computer to create a new computer security identifier (SID) when the computer is restarted. In addition, the Sysprep tool cleans up user-specific and settings specific to the computer and the data that should not be copied to a destination computer.

Access the links below for more information on Sysprep.

  • Audio files I save/save on my hard drive and then burn it to a CD

Using a Dell Inspiron B130, I record/save Word and music through the 'Tape Out' of an audio control panel in my microphone on the B130 decision-making. When you are finished, I save them on my hard drive and it records in a Windows Media Audio file.  I was able to burn it to a CD with Windows Media Player and I can play the CD on another computer, but the CD will not play on a CD player (such as at home or in the car).  I want to be able to play the CD on any home or car CD player, what should I do?

You need software to do it properly burning. I use Nero.

  • Cannot save on external hard drive

I recently bought a Seagate FreeAgent - 2.0 to external drive and have found that I'm unable to save image from Photoshop (PS7 or CS3) files directly to him regardless of the extension of the image used. When I try to record, I get a pop-up that says, could not save "filename" because the disk is full. I don't know why this is happening when I have 1.6 TB of free space on this drive. I also have a FreeAgent 500 GB external that I have never had this problem with. When I contacted Seagate they said since I am able to copy, paste or move files to the drive, it is a problem with the Software Photoshop and not their car. Anyone know why this is happening and if so is there a way to solve it?

Yes, hiking 7 used a Windows API which stops when the disc is more than 1 TB.

Once we had larger disks available, we have worked around this limitation of the API.

CS3 should not have any problems and has been quite widely used with over 1 TB disks.

  • How to back up and restore e-mail messages (apart from all save on my hard drive)?

A simple and easy to use solution is needed to put the emails into folders in an easy to get to the place on a backup drive AND to return them, in Thunderbird, when reinstalling after, for example, move to a new computer (replacement) OR recover that vital e-mail you have deleted since the last backup.

There is an add-on to tuberculosis, which allows the import and export of emails in different formats on a separate storage medium (external drive, USB key, etc.).

You will find instructions on how to download and install it in http://barryduggan.info/exportMail.php
Use a format which can be imported later.
