  Try to reset the Photoshop preferences:

  Hold down the CTRL - Shift - Alt from the cold Photoshop start.  If you get the keys to the low enough - quickly and you have to be VERY fast - it prompts you to confirm the removal of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being the default value.

  I'm new here so please forgive me if I ask something stupid. I work with the German version of Adobe Creative Suite 4 on a Windows XP system (I'm German, by the way). Yesterday, when I opened a file in InDesign, all my palettes had disappeared, as the function "save under" and other similar functions has not yet responded (no window).

  I have tried everything that - with updates, re-install iD, removing all, new CS4 installation of CS together, performing all update all over again... with no results whatsoever. All other components work fine.

  iD also does not show me this little window "open the file, create new file a.s.o." more when starting.

  I also tried other files. Same result.

  In addition, when you open a file, a window will open with the message: "Scotch Rules.framework; Optics Kerning.framework; LILO. InDesignPlugin are not installed "...

  Hard to say at this stage if the installation now, is damaged, or if it's simple.

  The first thing to try is repalcing preferences. See replace your preferences

  If this does not work, given the error message you see, I suspect that the installation did not complete properly. Uninstall again, run the clean script CS4 (see run the CS4 Clean Script), and then restart the computer with all the non-essential programs and services disabled (disable them in MSConfig) and install again.

• FB4 compile on save is no longer work? Need to force the compilation via an execution why?

  The only way I can get FB4 to compile and display of error messages is to run and select Cancel run from the prompt "problems were found. In FB3 a compilation would go to save. Will there be a new parameter to change this?

  Uncheck you somehow 'Build' automatically under the Project menu?

  Hi joannk,

  The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

  Any ideas?  This used to work, but now it doesn't at all, even when you open a file from scratch.

  What is your screen size?   The minimum requirements say 1024 x 768.

• Start Screen Saver hot corner no longer works under macOS Sierra 10.12

  I use Active corners to allow my screen saver lock my screen forever.  The hot corner "Start screen saver" no longer works after upgrade to Sierra 10.12.  'Put display to Sleep' hot corner doesn't work, as do other things like "Disable screensaver" and "Launchpad".  I tried reversing the triggers and active corners and can confirm that four corners work, but none of the corners can trigger action to launch the screensaver.

  Options > general downloads section

  • If "Save files" is selected, all files will save the location shown without the intervention of the user.
  • If 'Always ask me where to save files' is selected, the user can choose the location and change the name of the saved file.

  Looks like you somehow accidentally active the option print to file in the Advanced Options print dialogue. Uncheck that and this problem should go away.

  You only set the function to run but not executed.

  You should add a line like:

  AtStartup();

  to your script.

  As noted if you have been set "defaultValue" to the fields, then clear the fields would remove any entry present and restore the default values.

  Or you could write a custom JavaScript to clear the fields and then run your startup script.

  We work with Indesign and Windows 7 Professional, all files are available for each of us on our server. For the first time now, we create our 280 page catalog as a file indb including 12 chapters (indd documents).

  I assumed, that all of us (there are three of us) can work in different chapters at the same time. Have I been wrong?

  How we work:

  We open the indb file simultaneously, and then open the different chapters at the same time (via the directory, without double click in Solution Explorer).

  When we close a chapter, we save the indd. file. No problems so far.

  But when one closes the indb file so Indesign says 'someone changed the book once you have opened it. Sure you crush? "and she wants to" save under ", not just"Save ".

  Problem:

  So far, we clicked on "Yes, please overwrite the book." "What should happen to the indd files during the recording of the book" we thought.

  But soon, we recognized, that sometimes the things we changed in the chapters (such as dimensions, photos, illustrations, text) seem to have disappeared. But this isn't all the work, which has been lost. Just a few things. It's so mysterious.

  I wouldn't recommend trying to open the book file simultaneously. But then - a book file is just a simple container document and can be recreated very quickly. I open the chapters independently of the book and just to bring together them in a document of a book at the end.

  Sorry but rather new to Muse.  I have a site that is almost ready to launch in Muse.  First site of Muse, I usually use Dreamweaver.  I updated Muse this morning.  When I opened my site fill in a few details, I went to save the page.  He asked me to "save under".  What?  Due to the update just register the site with the previous name and he will write on it or do I just save it under a different name and delete the previous file name.  I'm pretty happy, I can understand this before I start the application it.   Thank you for your help.  Anyone?

  Short answer: Save as a new file and keep the old backup file.

  Long version: this 'forced' Save As only occurs when the Muse file format has been changed due to an update or Muse retrieves changes not saved following an accident, forced to quit smoking or cut power. It's our subtly encourage you to create a backup to the major transition points (change in file format) or as a result of an accident. Muse supports not 'save back' either export to an earlier version, so if you need to share the file with another person who uses an earlier version or for a reason, go back to the previous version of Muse, you must file in the older file format.

  If you already use an automated backup system and/or store your .muse file in a cloud folder synchronized, keeping the extra copy is not necessary, since these mechanisms would provide another way to revert to a previous version of the file, if need is always.
