CQ-61-319wm (Presario CQ-61): cq-61-319wm does not SSD

I tried BX100 Crucial three 250 GB drives and sometimes and most of the time does not recognize the SSD drive. I ran CHKSDK to correct all errors, ran disc clean, ran disc compress and cloned the drive using a USB cable to SSD using Macrium Reflect. Always reflect the success of claims. I also used the Beat for the problems of STARTING Rec, just in case. All the OS updates have been installed.

The problem is that the BIOS does not have the reader, most of the time. When he finds it, it works fine. He spent two days with Crucial support, on and outside, but they are at a loss. The Dungeon thinkiing it is a bad clone, but the BIOS can not find the drive. Moreover, what terrible one BIOS. I'm going to uprade to more later to see if it's better. In my humble OPINION HP does not include a BIOS function, is to provide information, not to hide it.

During a drive not found, it crashes when starting for about 15 seconds, with no screen, finally goes to the red screen with press ESC to menu and then if you can boot from the CD/DVD ROM.

During a found journey, it does not crash, appears the red screen within 2 seconds, full boot takes about 22 seconds, excluding the time 5 seconds on the display of the post I put.

I fought it to a standstill.

I started with an old F.04 BIOS, upgrade to the most recent, updated the firmware of the drive and any Crucial fact might think and it won't work perfectly.

I also have a nx6325 and he does not like to be. This list doesn't like a Crucial M500 disc. So dig deeper the BX100 uses a controller of movements of silicon chip and the M500 uses a Marvell controller chip. Given what happened 4 BX100 drives critical times and I have concluded that there is a conflict between the BIOS and the piece of SSD controller. Can't prove it, but we strongly suspect. Moreover, what terrible one BIOS and as I suspected written in China. Gone are the old days to discover the information at the level low. We get what we pay for.

Thanks for all the suggestions, but they basically were all tried without success.

Crucial is gracefully by exchanging my BX100s for a set of MX100s. I have got my fingers crossed.

  • Compaq presario sr5010nx does not recognize cpu

Hi guys my dad have a really crappy computer (cannot run the half-life 1) and I want to give him my old (also shitty, but less) which I use no more. I bought a new processor, an intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.80 GHz 2 M 800 MHz processor LGA775 Conroe, which is on the list of caught cpu supported by the motherboard (945GCT-HM (Livermore)) on the website of intel. When I changed the cpu, apply the thermal paste and it started
I got "ERROR: unsupported processor installed.
PC will turn off automatically in a few seconds "message and I wonder why it does not work. Is it possible that the CPU is broken? I bought on ebay so it would not be surprising. I also changed the power supply which fried for a 550W and added the new ram, 1 stick of 1 GB and a 2 GB.

P.S. I asked on another Web site and all they told me is get a better machine, please do not. My father is really not great matches and I don't have the money for her ^^

    Hello @Charlesesteban,

I understand that you are having problems with upgrading the processor on your desktop Compaq Presario SR5010NX. Well well, according to the HP Support document: upgrade or replacement of the processor you have followed the steps correctly. The TDP for the original and intel processor Core 2 Duo E4300 1.80 GHz 2 M 800 MHz LGA775 processor are the two 65w so this isn't a problem. I suspect that you're right in that the new processor is faulty.

I hope this helps. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    Help!

My keyboard and trackpad on my Compaq Presario CQ60 laptop do not react and do not have external devices to see if it is an internal matter. Cannot restart in Mode safe as the keyboard is unresponsive, however it allows me to type my password to access vista! I think I just lock the computer, but do not know how unlock, various forums have specified relocation drivers etc, but I am unable to do this without functional keyboard and do not know how if I pressed a key combination that caused it. I don't know if it's a problem of Vista or Compaq/HP.

    Immensely from any help appreciated!

as far as I know, if you can type your password on the login screen, then the keyboard works, if the problem appears after the connection or it will appear when you are on your desktop screen, it may be a problem of operating system or a problem with corruption of user account

the keyboard would be a hardware failure, if when you turn on your nb, there will be no ligts on the keyboard will make the capslock key does not illuminate or does not at all as long as you turn on the nb

for the touchpad, try to check if its or disable... If there is a light orange above the touch pad then sound off, toggle the switch the light to turn to blue...

so before anything else... TRY THIS FIRST!

    1. remove the battery

    2 disconnect the power adapter

    3. no power supply at all, press in and hold the button for 1 min... Be sure that it will be 1 min...

technically, we call this HARD RESET... This process would free electricity static that could be included on the power button spout these electrostatic charges sometimes causes harware malfunctionalities...

then it this step does not work... do this...

try to go into safe mode by continuously pressing F8 during startup (press F8 when you see the hp invent screen), then you will be directed to advance startup options... Choose last known good config... Then, it will boot to the last known good setting...

Please let me know if this does not work...

Otherwise, ' choose repair your computer "on the start options... • Presario CQ56 - 154CA does not load BIOS

Hello, I have a compaq presario CQ56 - 154 mobile CA. I deleted the hard drive using DriveCleanser to True Image Home 2011 and then tried to load the recovery with F11 (or F10 or whatever it is) Manager, but now all I get is a red screen with the big Q logo with "Press ESC for boot menu" on the bottom left and it just hangs there. I wipe the Win7 and system partitions, but not the recovery partition. I did a backup of these 3 partitions on my external hard drive, but the laptop does not start from a flash drive bootable, that I did in True Image, nor any of my startup CD and I set the bios to boot from flash first, then the DVD, then drive before wiping.

I don't have the DVD with Recovery Manager recovery in Win7, but I wouldn't need them not from the recovery partition is still there.

I read that some Compaq portable computers use a utility on the hard drive to load the bios, boot etc menu, so if this is the case with mine, then it has been completely removed. If this is the case, is there a way I can get it on the drive?

If this isn't the case, I could try to remove the drive and put it in an envelope outside and connect to my office. It is possible that I can use the flash drive to use True Image to restore wiped two partitions. Also, I read that in this case, remove the disc and then turn on the laptop may allow the bios load, but I'd really prefer not to take the drive if I have to.

I have faith in your ability to help me with this, thanks!

    ...
Get off drugs or get back at them

I seem to have solved the problem! As soon as I was able to restore the partition of 'System', which is the partition active, the bios loaded no problem. After the release of the bios, the Recovery Manager has finally started automatically and I was able to restore the laptop to its "out-of-box" State

What I did buy a 2 1/2 inch, SATA HARD drive, USB adapter I used to connect the player to the laptop on my desk. I used my flash boot disk image first restore the MBR on the drive by using the backup that I did. That did not work. Then I restored the system partition, crossed my fingers and pulled to the top of the laptop again and finally the Recovery Manager came. It was the most beautiful thing I've seen in days.

A little advice. If you want to clear Win7 out of your Compaq, say you want to sell or something, and you want to use a method of multiple passes, clean partition "Win7". Don't wipe the 'HP tools', the 'system', or the 'Recovery' partitions (is there such partitions). If none of this has meaning for you, find a friend or a tech store, he does not sense of. I consider myself lucky.

Thanks Charles for your answers, I appreciate them!

    Compaq Presario Notebook Win7 32-bit - 4 GB DDR2, aged about 3 years?

A customer brought this with virus / malware issues - arranged.

On start-up, the bios made regular account that the HP OEM battery must renew. Not difficult technical question here.

Powered on the laptop without the battery and the pc has stopped completely after a few seconds.  No beeps, no LED. Suspecting power, the original showed 19.* * volts. Ok.

Bidirectional p - s for another check the jack plug connection. No change, tried jumping jack plug connection.

Out two-way RAM for good, no change.
Two-way 2032 battery of the bios for good, not change.
    Removed HARD drive, no change.

Non-powered from DC or battery, depressed and button who was held for at least a minute, without change.

The bios battery removed for 30 minutes, without change.

    No attached devices.

    Remarkable:

Without battery : white DC power LED stays on for about 5 seconds. And then off.

Old battery included: white DC power LED does not illuminate.

I did not remove the optical drive, because I think it's ok. Works fine (or used to).

I am familiar with this series of Presario laptops / laptops and while I have tried everything I know, I was wondering if, before I have conviction as having a short-circuit motherboard / failure, is there anything else I can try with this model of HP laptop before I am progressing with the send for repair of component.

My daughter put 100 pictures of our trip on a cd at Walgreens.  When I put in my computer, nothing happens.

    Hello

First of all, to eject the drawer and gently clean the small lens with a soft material such as cotton.

Once done, check if there is no change when you insert a disc.

Otherwise, click on the start menu, type AutoPlay , and press ENTER.  Scroll to the bottom of this window and then click on the button "reset all default settings.  When you're finished, restart the computer and check if the drive recognize a disc.

  • Compaq presario cq71, sudden death, does not start

Compaq presario cq71-140ea. was fine yesterday but this morning it will not start. It turns on, displays of compaq on the screen and then does nothing. Have you tried pressing f10 to change the sequence of boot for the relocation, but it just says bios configure options at the bottom of the screen and will not actually in it. All keys have the same effect. Says on the bottom, what is it but isn't "doing". Does anyone have any ideas on how I can him get up and running?

Ruling on a BIOS corrupted, removing the CMOS (exhibit) just battery resets the default settings for the BIOS, but you do not have to remove the laptop battery as well. Did you remove the two batteries?

I still really want you to try to boot the machine with a stick of memory removed.

Here's a good video youtube, that he mentions on the battery and electric shock _ you won't electrocute yourself, the voltage inside a laptop is very low and also the battery will be removed.

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=dbvmRsSh210

Remove the stick dessu first (you don't have to replace the cover on the penalty), insert the battery back in and start. If no luck, remove the lower Strip and try this one. If it does not always start upward, then I would say that the BIOS is damaged. If it starts, then you have a bad stick of RAM.

The RAM sticks are matched, you can't make them in trust, me it's a very simple thing to do.

    http://h20574.www2.HP.com/default.htm?lang=en&cc=us&hpappid=psml

Also here is a link to HP multimedia Services library and some screenshots as getting there.

When you click the link you may have to sign in again, giving the two pages of time to load, especially the other, it takes about 30 seconds.

In the video he says you only touch the memory stick to the edges, it is a good idea, but I've seen people deal with it very casually and it's always nice. However just follow the steps in the video.

I mention this once again and that's to make sure that you're statically discharged before opening the laptop.

After trying the solution of the RAM (Random Access Memory) and if it fails, you will need a 1 GB flash drive. If there is something on this subject, and then save the information we have will be formatted.

Flash player is required to save your BIOS.

I guess we'll use your computer for girls, so I need to know what operating system is on it.

  • HE commands to work - Compaq Presario SR5000 does not start

I have a Compaq Presario SR5000 running Windows Vista Edition family basic and once we got in, I first cleaned the internals to the air compressed, then tried to start, and it failed, so recommended BIOS I run the Startup Repair tool and so I did, and the startup repair couldn't fix the computer "automatically".

Now, I run the system restore and I tried to restore the computer to its last Windows Update, and I got the error code 0 x 80070002, meaning that the system cannot find the specified file.

Specifications for the Compaq Presario SR5000 I have:

AMD Sempron LE-1250 to 2.20 GHz

    2 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM Samsung

WDC WD3200AAJS 320 GB HDD at 3.0 Gbps

Phoenix BIOS CMOS review 5.16 12/11/2008

    Windows Vista Home Basic

    HP M2N86 - THE mother

    Power supply PS-5251-08 LiteON 250W

Well, if this is the case, then I think you may try to access BIOS, if that does not work then go ahead with the HARD drive option. I had this problem before and I wiped the hard and it worked eventually. If this does not work, I will try and find a different solution.

I have a lightscribe, CD/DVD player, and I started having problems about a month ago... I tried to burn a lightsribe CD and my computer told me that I didn't have a CD Lightscribe drive (I!)... then when I just tried to burn the music on the CD, he didn't do it either... Finally a week ago, I tried to play a movie on my laptop, and that does not work either.

When I insert in the film or the cd, the drive lights up and I can hear the work, but it is as if she has no connection with my laptop and my laptop is not picking up the CD/DVD drive try to play a movie or a cd.
