Scalable graphics on T60?

Community of hell

I have a Lenovo T60 (type: 6372 - 63G).

Y at - it any possibiliy to expand my graphics? As an external graphics card?

I found no information on the lenovo site (perhaps I didn't looked close enough).

I hope for some answers.

With sincere friendships.

P.Schmid

Hi Pschmid1988,

Indeed it is. The advanced docking station allows you to use an external video card:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-61232.html

It will be useful.

  • Qosmio X 500-148 - is the scalable graphics card?

    Hello

I'm completely confused. Can we tell for certain if the graphics card X 500-148 is upgraded or the other of these two models? Toshiba NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 1.5 GB MXM3.0B or MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M 1.5 GB DDR5 MXM 3.0 Type B?

In General graphic CAD is not extensible. As you know probably mobile machines have limited opportunities to upgrade. You can upgrade Ram or disk HARD but CPU or GPU upgrade is not supported.

Cooling system is optimized for certain hardware platform machine and some.

Is GPU on your defective machine?

  • Satellite 2450-202: is the scalable graphics card?

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce4 420 GO supplied with the notebook on purchase. Now expired for PC games, for example pixel shader. Need to update, is it possible on this laptop (do not know if the motherboard's video/graphics card integrated etc, and if so any idea how much I would pay to do?) Ballpark idea so I know not to blink in the PC world...! Thank you

Impossible to update the map with a lets say, better model VGA card. The only thing you can do is to edit your card a little more by installing better one more compatible for the new drivers of games than those outdated provided thanks to the TOSHIBA support.
The only difficult part is to MAKE THE nvidia download drivers 'WANT' to INSTALL on your system... ;)

Here's a way to do this:
... the drivers from the official website of nvidea wont install on your laptop without the help of you (by replacing the INF by a custom made one)
You can check my post on this thread about where to find the tools you need: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18881

Some games more works now, still not all of them, but at least a few others.

    Good luck

  • Qosmio G20 - scalable graphics card?

  • Scalable graphical Y50

    I have a Y50-70 with a GTX 860 m, model of the chip: NV N15P-GX
So I read on http://shop.lenovo.com/se/sv/landing-pages/lenovo-gaming/ (in Swedish) that the series can upgrade their graphics ' laptops Lenovo Y series offers the latest in the power of exchangeable graphics AMD or NVIDIA "(rough traduction vers l'anglais)."»
But I can't find anything on the pages of Lenovo, where can I find graphic compatible.
Support have no Y50 upgrade option/thread when asking for help, and I can't find anything useful on the webb (I did not worth looking at more than 2 hours to both support and webb).
I went to my local computer shop and they could not find any compatible chart when searching on the Y50, so they told me to contact support. That took me to this community given that the media do not seem to have what this evolutionary chart.
Conclusion: Does someone of you knows what season of NV No. 15/16 series that I am able to upgrade to? Or do you know how I can address the support for that?

"Switchable" means that you can switch between the integrated graphics card Intel and NVIDIA graphic card on the fly. Two of them are soldered on the motherboard and are NOT replaceable.

    https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Optimus

You CAN get the GTX960M in your Y50, but implies the replacement of the WHOLE motherboard, which could void your warranty.

  • graphics card for a laptop dv9000

I have a card nvidia gforce 8600 m GS.  I am trying to run Dead Space.  I get a message that my graphics card does not meet the minimum requriements.  I looked up the requirements and I answered that the game asks for, but maybe not for the shading.  Can I get a new graphics chip for my laptop which runs the newer games?

Unfortunately the laptops in almost all cases have not scalable graphics hardware.  Only a few of very-high end laptops have such a device.  There is also no external device that can help you.  Laptops are generally poor gaming machines because graphics cards tend to use a LOT of power.  And laptops are designed to run on batteries.  The graphics chips inside them are usually light versions of the desktop variety.  They lack features or have reduced power.  If you want to game, it is usually best to use a desktop PC.  If this is not always an option.

    However...

You can download graphics drivers updated here: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

These last have modified drivers that allow the installer to allow you to install and play the game.  Install these at your own risk, as they are amended, results will vary.  You can read their documentation and ask questions in the forums to get help.  I know that people with your card 8600 m have got the game to install and play with these drivers.  In addition, I can't help you because I do not have the map and cannot tell you what drivers to get and install.

    Good luck!

  • Replacing the fan for w/15.4 "screen and GPU integrated T60

    Greetings,

The combo fan/heater several months ago, I bought for my T60 was apparently the 41W6409 for a T60 with discreet gpu and cpu, but mine is an integrated model that uses the 41W6408.

As I can't return it, I was just thinking to replace the old fan with that on the new heatsink. But I'm not sure that it will fit, being the only FRU I could find for the Fan/Heatsink combo.

So, I was wondering if someone here who happened to know if these fans are the same.

Thank you very much in advance.

Steve, you can use the unobtrusive radiator on your integrated motherboard. In fact, the best option in my opinion is to go with a T61 heatsink that is designed to cool the much more powerful X 3100 graphics and uses the thermal paste rather than pads type blade of silicone used to cool graphic systems T60. Alternatively, you can replace these pads with thermal paste on the heatsink T60 but unity T61 is better in my opinion. I can't tell you if the fans are interchangeable, because there was more than one fan used on the T60 models intel, some were, and some were not. There was also a discreet couple different sinks of heat, but will be more than enough for the cooling of your integrated graphics. Platform which cools the discrete gpu will not be used so it isn't a problem and cooling chipset platform will suffice for the cooling of your integrated graphics.

  • Preferences option "vector Snap tools and transforms to the pixel grid" on the options bar

Hello! Is it possible to put the preferences option ' Snap vector tools and transforms to pixel grid "option vector toolbar.

I draw web-graphics and icons. I often use vector layers for scalable graphics. So, sometimes I need snaps to the pixel grid is turned on, sometimes I need it's off?

Whenever I press Ctrl + K to open the dialog box Preferences checkbox enabled. It will be great to have shortened keyboard or button in the options bar to LENGTH fast.

    Is an idea?

P.S. sorry for my English ^)

You can record an Action and assign a keyboard shortcut.

(Another option would be a Script that you could use in a panel of html5, but maybe it's not worth it).

  • T60 MB. # 1951 graphics driver needed

Hi, I'm new here, but I had a T60 1951 model for three years (and I had a few crashes but those that have been set), and everything was going well until my laptop crashed for the fourth time. I have the audio driver and the driver of the internet, but I searched through EVERY BIT of the Lenovo web sites and I can't find the graphics driver! Help!

    TechHelp

    Welcome to the forum!

Assuming you are using XP, here is the driver:

    http://download.Lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/PC/pccbbs/mobiles/7ld140ww.zip

After the download, you may need to go to C > drivers > win > video and run the Setup file from there.

  • T60 (1953) change of the video card to ATI Radeon graphics card

Hi guys, I have a Thinkpad T60 (1953). Every time I'm playing games or watching a video, the really poor sound quality. Also, I wanted to know if I could even change my video card. I have a Hp Dv5 dead, and there the ATI Radeon graphics card in it, so I wanted to know if I could change this graphics card to my T60?

    "evening.

The only way to upgrade the graphic subsystem on your T60 would be to swap the motherboard in correct with the GPU you wanted that they are welded, unlike one half CPU.

    Kind regards.

  • BSOD on T60 after changing the graphic properties

I just returned the display on my screen external 180 degrees and immediately got the BSOD. When I restart and try to return to the normal display, I get the BSOD until I can right click on the desktop and get the graphic properties setting.

If I change the display to the LCD laptop until Windows has finished starting, then Windows does not crash. However, I have not found a way to reset the external display to normal display, unflipped without first switch to the external monitor, which gives me the BSOD again until I can do anything.

I tried to start in safe mode, but I can't find anything in Safe Mode to restore the external monitor to display.

    I am running Windows XP Professional on a T60 and the monitor is a ViewSonic vx2235wm (1680 x 1050).

Thanks for your suggestions on how to solve this problem.

    Joel

    That no longer works.

But let me tell you what I finished work: Windows finished its commissioning, I unplugged the monitor. Then the laptop 'thought' he always used the external monitor, even if the monitor is not connected. Then, I pressed ctrl-alt-top. This key sequence is supposed to set the display of graphics on 'normal' (i.e. at right-up). I then plugged the monitor and the screen on the right to the top. No BSOD since then.

I am happy that it has ended up working, but is there a simpler way to fix conflicts of devices like the problem I had?

    Thank you

    Joel

Anyone know if there is a Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) viewer that is compatible with Windows 7? Same 64 or Vista for that matter? I tried both the Adobe and Renesis Viewer, but neither one seems to work.

Have you tried opening the SVG file in Internet Explorer?

  • T60 graphics card problem

    Hello!

I worked with my T60 2007 - FUG almost 2 years with windows XP. Now I switched to Windows 7 32 bit. System has been installed on clear 320 GB WD hard, everything works fine, except the graphics card... (Radeon X 1300)

When I try to activate Aero, use a screen saver, or start a game etc, an error occurs:

"The --whatever-- can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compactible with Direct3D"

I tried some graphics drivers, first some Lenovo website (graphic driver W7 is missing, then I used windows Vista one, according to the posts here, it doesn't matter). Then I tried to download the drivers directly from amd.com but nothing helped.

I guess that this problem is in the graphics card, because when I use the ThinkVantage Toolbox for more information on device I saw this:

I think, there should be a graphics card: ATI X 1300 and instead 64,00 MB memory video card.

Adapters for device/system/control panel/display of the Control Manager to show me only Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, which is what you see in the image to the top...

I'll be very grateful for any piece of advice, thanks!

Try running Windows Update and see if she will be able to locate the correct driver.

  • T60 2008 CM5 graphics card

Hello. I have an ATI Raedon Mobility x 1300 GC currently installed and I saw that this can have an ATI Mobility FireGL V5250. Which is the limit, or that I'd be able to go a bit further and put an ATI Mobility FireGL V5725 inside? Help would be very appreciated.

    Roku1234 wrote:

So, in short, 5250 is the Max, I'll be fine?

Edit: If so, how I would go to switch out them? (Sorry if this is in the wrong place or something. New and do not know what goes where.)

Yes, V5250 is the top dog.

You will need to find a motherboard for a late T60p which has a V5250 and replace your current card with her. Once more, the card is soldered and cannot be toggled on its own.

  • iMac specs for graphic design

    Hello

I'm looking to upgrade to an iMac 27 "with the 5K retina display. Im a graphic designer by day. It includes video editing, photo editing and some other processes quite heavy. I'm looking for some advice. IM thinking the the 4.0 GHZ i7 with 16 GB of ram and 4 GB video card.

I wanted to just make sure that 16 GB of ram and video card of 4 GB set at level is necessary. The ram should be good from my understanding. I wanted to check on the 2 GB to 4 GB. I have a Nikon D750 and shoot with that and my ghost 3 dji advanced quadcoptee for photos and videos. No advice and no information would be useful. The best buy sales guy told me just says 2 GB is enough, but it doesn't seem like him reading some forums and helpful advice on apple's site.

    See you soon!

Edit: I have a macbook 15 inches of 2011 which has been running Adobe CS6 and now creative cloud. Recently, he took to always for my photos and applications to open it. I just want something more suitable for the process that I am running without basically put my MacBook to death.

RAM is scalable user and it's cheaper than buying the RAM from Apple. The upgrade, it is just a 5-minute process. This means buy computer th with the base 8 GB and then buy RAM from a source reliable as OWC (www.macsales.com) or critical (direct purchase) and increase the RAM yourself. Video cards can never be upgraded so get what you need. In addition, buy an SSD based machine, the largest capacity, you can afford.

Finally, consider getting a refurbished Apple iMac in order to save hundreds of dollars. These are practically as good as new, have the same warranty as the new and are identical for new. In short there is no downside.
