Scalable graphical Y50

I have a Y50-70 with a GTX 860 m, model of the chip: NV N15P-GX
So I read on http://shop.lenovo.com/se/sv/landing-pages/lenovo-gaming/ (in Swedish) that the series can upgrade their graphics ' laptops Lenovo Y series offers the latest in the power of exchangeable graphics AMD or NVIDIA "(rough traduction vers l'anglais)."»
But I can't find anything on the pages of Lenovo, where can I find graphic compatible.
Support have no Y50 upgrade option/thread when asking for help, and I can't find anything useful on the webb (I did not worth looking at more than 2 hours to both support and webb).
I went to my local computer shop and they could not find any compatible chart when searching on the Y50, so they told me to contact support. That took me to this community given that the media do not seem to have what this evolutionary chart.
Conclusion: Does someone of you knows what season of NV No. 15/16 series that I am able to upgrade to? Or do you know how I can address the support for that?

"Switchable" means that you can switch between the integrated graphics card Intel and NVIDIA graphic card on the fly. Two of them are soldered on the motherboard and are NOT replaceable.

https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Optimus

You CAN get the GTX960M in your Y50, but implies the replacement of the WHOLE motherboard, which could void your warranty.

Impossible to update the map with a lets say, better model VGA card. The only thing you can do is to edit your card a little more by installing better one more compatible for the new drivers of games than those outdated provided thanks to the TOSHIBA support.

  • graphics card for a laptop dv9000

I have a card nvidia gforce 8600 m GS.  I am trying to run Dead Space.  I get a message that my graphics card does not meet the minimum requriements.  I looked up the requirements and I answered that the game asks for, but maybe not for the shading.  Can I get a new graphics chip for my laptop which runs the newer games?

Unfortunately the laptops in almost all cases have not scalable graphics hardware.  Only a few of very-high end laptops have such a device.  There is also no external device that can help you.  Laptops are generally poor gaming machines because graphics cards tend to use a LOT of power.  And laptops are designed to run on batteries.  The graphics chips inside them are usually light versions of the desktop variety.  They lack features or have reduced power.  If you want to game, it is usually best to use a desktop PC.  If this is not always an option.

    However...

You can download graphics drivers updated here: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

These last have modified drivers that allow the installer to allow you to install and play the game.  Install these at your own risk, as they are amended, results will vary.  You can read their documentation and ask questions in the forums to get help.  I know that people with your card 8600 m have got the game to install and play with these drivers.  In addition, I can't help you because I do not have the map and cannot tell you what drivers to get and install.

    Good luck!

  • Preferences option "vector Snap tools and transforms to the pixel grid" on the options bar

Hello! Is it possible to put the preferences option ' Snap vector tools and transforms to pixel grid "option vector toolbar.

I draw web-graphics and icons. I often use vector layers for scalable graphics. So, sometimes I need snaps to the pixel grid is turned on, sometimes I need it's off?

Whenever I press Ctrl + K to open the dialog box Preferences checkbox enabled. It will be great to have shortened keyboard or button in the options bar to LENGTH fast.

    Is an idea?

You can record an Action and assign a keyboard shortcut.

This question in the software of this kind where the icons are essential for the use of the tool makes it impossible to work with them on the laptop Y50-70.

    To solve the display problem.

    (1) right click on the desktop and select the 'screen Resolution '.

    (2) change the resolution is 1920 * 1080

    3) click on "Make text and icons larger or smaller.

    (4) set the bar at a value that should be.

NOTE - after each change of setting for the text and icons, you MUST reboot the system.

  • Y50 - cannot install graphics drivers

I'm not able to install the latest graphics driver from nvidia. It installs the latest version of the GeForce experience but software that tells the 332.50 driver is up-to-date. The 337.88 driver is WHQL certified and lists of compatibility with the 860 m, but when trying to install it, it says "this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." On the nvidia website, it says "your product manufacturer requires to download a driver for your device from their site" but it's 332.50 is quite obsolete at this point. Someone knows a way I can get the updated drivers? Should be a fairly significant increase in performance.

I was able to get it figured out. It turns out that I need a modded .inf file
Let the Installer do its thing and disable driver signature enforcement in
Windows to allow it. Kind of headaches, but it is now supported and I'm
able to take advantage of the features on the new drivers.

  • iMac specs for graphic design

    Hello

I'm looking to upgrade to an iMac 27 "with the 5K retina display. Im a graphic designer by day. It includes video editing, photo editing and some other processes quite heavy. I'm looking for some advice. IM thinking the the 4.0 GHZ i7 with 16 GB of ram and 4 GB video card.

I wanted to just make sure that 16 GB of ram and video card of 4 GB set at level is necessary. The ram should be good from my understanding. I wanted to check on the 2 GB to 4 GB. I have a Nikon D750 and shoot with that and my ghost 3 dji advanced quadcoptee for photos and videos. No advice and no information would be useful. The best buy sales guy told me just says 2 GB is enough, but it doesn't seem like him reading some forums and helpful advice on apple's site.

    See you soon!

Edit: I have a macbook 15 inches of 2011 which has been running Adobe CS6 and now creative cloud. Recently, he took to always for my photos and applications to open it. I just want something more suitable for the process that I am running without basically put my MacBook to death.

RAM is scalable user and it's cheaper than buying the RAM from Apple. The upgrade, it is just a 5-minute process. This means buy computer th with the base 8 GB and then buy RAM from a source reliable as OWC (www.macsales.com) or critical (direct purchase) and increase the RAM yourself. Video cards can never be upgraded so get what you need. In addition, buy an SSD based machine, the largest capacity, you can afford.

Finally, consider getting a refurbished Apple iMac in order to save hundreds of dollars. These are practically as good as new, have the same warranty as the new and are identical for new. In short there is no downside.

  • Graphics upgrade to HP ENVY 810-109 Phoenix map

    Hello

So I'm kinda a noob full when it comes to what whether computer associated, so I was hoping that someone could inform me on whether or not to buy a new graphics card and install it would be possible based on the specs of my computer.

My specs are in this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04119478

And the graphics card, im looking to buy is this one: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487028

If you can also explain what it is, I'm looking in order to tell if a graphics card may or may not be installed in my PC (just for future reference so I know what to look for) would be great

    Thank you

I'm not sure what the first answer talking about.  Computer parts are completely standardized, and (of course) allows you to determine if the parts are compatible.

The motherboard of your computer's MS-7826 (Kaili).  It has a 16 x PCI-e 3.0 housing.  That's exactly what the card needs.  It then comes to know if you have enough power to run it.

The card says that he needs to "power supply of 400 watts or more with a minimum of 20 amps on the + 12 rail v.  Your diet is a diet of 600 watts with 2 "PCI-E power connectors (for high-end graphics cards)."

That's all you need.  If you're still not sure about that, order gold Amazon.  You will be able to return the card, if this does not work, and there is no shipping cost.  The only thing left is to know if the card physically fits.  Just measure.

Also, remember that the computer you bought is a high-end computer intended to be ugraded.  Do not trust people saying that you could not switch from a scalable computer, especially when they base their reasoning on the possibilities at a distance without explaining further.

    Hello

Sorry I had to say that it is impossible to update a graphics card in a Toshiba laptop.

A laptop is a very complex machine and there is no space for construction in the slots scalable i.e. I have desktop computers!

It's ufortunately one disadvantage of a laptop, but instead, you have some advantages like mobility, compactness and so on!
