Scaling, Pro Res 422 codec bug

So I came across a rather unique bug, which arose a few months back, when our company decided to first Pro CC for first Pro CC 2014. I think it has something to do with the new "set to frame size" feature, when you right-click on a clip in the timeline panel.

When the scaling of images in the effects of the label, if the scale is not defined on above 50.0, the clip will be display zooms in the program monitor during playback and also in the video file made after export. However, paused, the clip will be watch upward nationwide. Please see the pictures below.

Video playback:

Clip at the break:

This seems to happen only with files back and forth between our color grading program. Relevant information on the files are lower.

•Apple pro Res 422 Codec

• .mov format

resolution •4k (4096 * 2160)

Hi Marc, thanks for the input. With the last update CC, the problem seems to have disappeared. Thank you!

I'm a PC person, so export ProRes is not an experience that I can share. I wonder if it has an alpha channel, as in a couple of codecs in Sg it can include an alpha channel, which does not seem to make a much larger file.

In the Render for Sg tab, there is one small line/box called 'Other'... which gives access to most of the actual settings for any preset built-in, or you do...

When you click on that, you get...

And working in the different tabs for codecs & choice options is where you can change what is happening.

I'm trying to export multi-channel audio as apple pro res 422 HQ, but the tracks are all coming full joint rather than separately. I've implemented the multi Channel sequence already. What I am doing wrong?

All 4 titles are coming as complete blends not divisions. I guess that's a problem with the entrenchment of the channels, but can't see how to fix. Andy

Is what would you say to my quick thought without following through all the processes after the fact, the sequence settings? My thought is that the sequence settings must be multichannel as you show, but each Adaptive track, so this channel map is routed at your leisure. If this is not the case, already, it would create a new sequence with these settings.

  • Images of Pro res 422 editing on windows 7 in first CS6

Did I meet no problem import and this sequence of reading/editing?

I will not need to export to the same format. .mov is fine when everything is published.

    Thanks for your help.

Avid DNxHD is a codec for quicktime (CS6) free and high quality.

You can download and install from the link above.

Once installed, you can encode .mov files using this top-quality codec.

Or, you can simply use the ubiquitous H.264 for encoding of .mov codec.

  • How can I set up stereo audio tracks as default in first using the ProRes 422 codec?

Forgive me if this has been asked several times before. I searched but can't find anything that explained in a language that does not require a degree in computer engineering.

I'm a new convert to our beloved FCP 7. I'm learning to love dear first - but the audio part of this is driving me crazy.

I exported from FCP files as ProRes 422 movies with stereo audio tracks. I want to put first in the same way. But when I do it all crashed in a single audio file.

It plays havoc with the Pan - especially in mixtures which have a mix of stereo music. Apart from this it just confuses me.

Also. When I create a new project from scratch in the first and I select the custom ProRes 422, this setting doesn't allow to ProRes 422 audio mono. I don't see a codec for something else (ie. stereo).

    Am I missing something?

I looked in all areas of preferences and can not find anywhere to change this. I just want to import audio data from simple, basic two-lane (and let appear the same) that I would be in FCP, ProTools and the myriad of other editing programs that I use.

I also want to be able to set up a base of two-way stereo timeline/sequence without having to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks a lot for all the help and patience. I'm slowly pulling my hair and spend long periods sitting in the corner, hugging my knees and crying.

My characteristics. Preferred codec installation: ProRes 422 codec

    First pro version CS6 (6.05)

    Thanks again.

In the project Panel, select all the clips and rightclick/change/audio channels.

Set it to 2 tack and mono.

When you drop the clip on the timeline the stereo turns on two tracks.

You can also set by default in the preferences under Audio (before you import the clips) (stereo to mono).

  • Export MXF OP1a with XDCAM HD 422 codec 1080i50

    Hello

I use CC first and I want to export a movie as a wrapper MXF OP1a with 1080i50 XDCAM HD 422 Codec. I choose the XDCAM codec when I want to export is to one. MOV, but when I select the format MXF OP1a is does not appear in the list of codecs. Is there a way to do this in the first or Adobe Media Encoder, or what I have to come up with a workaround?

Stuff/XDCAM MXF is somewhat alien to me, but I think that's maybe what you are looking for (?):

    Format: MXF OP1a

Video Codec: XDCAM HD 50 NTSC (4:2:2)

    Command field: First superior

It is an XDCAM HD 4:2:2 codec which automatically exports in 1920 x 1080 and with the order of the fields in superior first, it should be interlaced.

Oh and I assumed that NTSC, but you would have wanted the PAL version of the video Codec.

  • Use of Apple Pro Res in first for the specturm colors

I heard that using Apple Pro Res in first and AE is good to use the specturm of color extended clips.  Is this true and necessary.

    Thank you

    On a Mac, CS5.5, os 10.6.8

You're still assuming that the adjustment of the color will go to external tools.  Question of the Crees was pretty simple.  ProRes is an advantage of quality in PP and AE?

For the most part, the answer appears to be no, it isn't.  Ensure their may be exceptions to this, always there when it comes to this sort of thing.  But transcoding as a rule of thumb for editing and effects work in PP and AE just doesn't make much sense.

  • The recent release of first Pro CC still has bugs:)

First Pro CC track matte questions - YouTube

Premiere Pro CC Interlacing issues - YouTube

The recent first Pro CC update has not resolved questions of bug I reported. I wonder if the bugs can be fixed or not.

Super sorry for these questions, Andy. I have a bit of good news, if.

    1. The question of mast track is scheduled for a fix in the next major update.
    2. The issue of interlacing is scheduled for a fix in the next update.

As far as the 3D rotating bug goes, I found an intern who has been closed a long time ago. I don't think it will be fixed for the following reason: you can already achieve the effect using different techniques.

When it comes to most of the problems you describe, it's usually a matter of rendering pipeline that requires a change. To change the order to make pipeline is done by nesting. The clip of the scale, nest, and then add the 3D effect. It should work fine then.

As an alternative, Premiere Pro has a video effect that acts as a motion effect, so that you can avoid nesting: transform. Just add the transform effect and change the stacking order of the 3D effect of pivot lower for this purpose. In fact, this seems to be preferred between the two.

    Kind regards

  • Premiere Pro CS6 Warp stabilizer Bug... I think so!

    Hi all

I was wondering if someone could possible help me with a problem I have with the stabilizer of curvature in Premiere Pro.  I have a clip I want to stabilize, I apply the string stabilizer and it crosses its analysis with no problems, and then that's all that the clip is stabilized.  If I can make my calendar it causes my clip to jump to give me a big black stripe down and the quality of the clip is destroyed.  I've included screenshots to better show this behavior.

1: this is the clip I want to stabilize so I add stabilizer chain and it analyzes the clip and it's job. Perfect, that's what I want!

    pre-stablizer.png

2: I can make my calendar so that I can read with ease

    rendering.png

3: all of a sudden, the quality of the clip is greatly diminished and the clip has a big black band.  No matter what I used as soon as I make it warp settings is the result.  It never used to do this, it has only just begun.

    after-render.png

    Help, please

I think I found the problem, the error seems to be dependent on the codec you use for the video preview. I changed the codec to preview sequences and it worked and it ceased to occur.

  • Web scaling of display - confirmed the bug

Although it does seem that many people are experiencing this problem, Adobe have been able to reproduce the problem I've had with graduation unexpectably html content when the display of web pages is created in an indesign file 'retina', IE create a folio 1536 x 2048, or 640 x 960, the content of the web scales notice about 200%. Place the same view of the web, with the same content, in a folio of res std, such as 768 x 1024 and the display of web pages content is perfect. Strange but true!

    See you soon

    Alistair

There is already a bug logged for this: "Images are not be properly sized in overlays in web content on a device of the retina.

  • Pro res 444 equivalent on PC

    Hello

I have a clip for a client, they recommend that I pulled out a .avi or .mov using ProRes 4444, unfortunately I'm working on a PC and cant exit using this codec.

Would you recommend that I use sage of codec? It must be lossless.

They will use the file either on an avid or FCP system for a codec that is familiar with both systems is required.

    IM using first Pro CS5

    Thank you!!

ProRes is not lossless.  It is almost without loss.

The closest thing it is probably of Avid DNxHD.   They introduced a 4444 with MC6.  I don't know if it's free, but other Avid codecs.

I haven't used, but I heard that Cineform is also lossless (or perhaps variable with up close to capacity without loss).

  • Solution for the Premiere Pro CS6 video playback Bug yet? Help, please!

I just downloaded the demo version of PPCS6 and everything was much until I tried to edit a video that rained 3 minutes. The video may play for the first 30ish seconds before the picture freezes and I can play is nothing else. I currently own CS5.5 and it worked perfectly for two years with mounting in real time at full resolution with eight AVCHD videos installed above the other. I've never had a problem with CS5.5. I did some research and saw that this problem lasts since at least February 2013, but not one has found a solution in forums. I tried all the suggestions to reinstall things, updating drivers, decommissioning of the pilots, toggle playback of mercury with my video card, reboots, the new projects, restart the computer and only opening first pro, as well as a bunch of other things without success.

After a year full, because people have been struggling with this problem I guess that Adobe has finally released a patch or some kind of workaround to be able to use Premiere Pro to edit more than 3 minutes of video. Fortunately I can simply return to CS5.5, but all the work on CS6 will be lost. If anyone can shed some light on this at all it would be greatly appreciated. I just spent the last 5 hours trying Premiere Pro to work and I am at my wits end.

    Here are my system specs:

    Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit)

    Intel i7 - 3930 k OC'd to 4.5 GHz (water cooled)

    16GB 1600 MHz RAM

128 GB sata II SSD for the OS and programs (only the adobe programs are installed).

250 GB sata III SSD for scratch and video files.

500 GB HARD drive for other media (not used in this project) files.

NVIDIA GTX 460 SE video card.

I also tried to put my video files on the HARD drive, but has not made a difference.

This could also be useful. If I open the problematic video files in CS5.5, I don't have any problems and that she plays and gum butter smooth along the.

Thanks in advance for any help any!

Okay, so it seems that updating more recent correction of the problem. I'm surprised that no one mentioned this in the 5 other posts/forums where people looked at this question. They are all just stopped posting in mid 2013 without selected correct answers, or the mention of the update. I'll have to go post there too I guess that to troubleshoot the guy next door may not get the evaluation or initial installation version to work. However, I now have my solution. Least 6.0.5 update. Here's a note more to those who are unable to update in Premiere Pro. I had to download the update directly from the Adobe website and install it manually. I found the update by performing a search in the support section of the Web site. I hope this helps someone else I do not spend a day trying to solve this problem!
