  • Why should I pay for a free service from Microsoft

I tried to connect my phone to my laptop, only to be told that the driver is up-to-date. Tried to get the driver free prog Microsoft update only to be directed to the prog Driver Support. It scanned my pc and I have 13 obsolete drivers of recons. To register and pay $ 30 to correct? WHY

There is no "update driver" program from Microsoft. Manually run Windows Update will show all option updates to Microsoft but they tend to be a little behind the releases from manufacturers. It depends on what you said that phone drivers have been exceeded.

Otherwise, you will need to check the site of the manufacturers for updates. Download drivers composing each manufacturer such as graphics, chipset, LAN etc. don't stay with drivers of laptop manufacturers as they will be compatible.

Devices such as printers and in this case the phone should come directly from the website of the manufacturer (Nokia, Samsung, Apple, etc.) and nowhere else so carefully the web link. Normally, if a device or a program reports that it's outdated it should provide direct link to their own page update.

Whatever it is the 3rd update of the advantage driver web sites (driverworld.com, drivercollection.com etc.) must be avoided.

  • Can I use a display target on the iMac with a laptop from Microsoft?

I have Microsoft Laptop and I would like to connect to my iMac 27 inches to use as a screen that I know we can do it with Mac Book but we can do it in the same way with a laptop computer from microsoft?

    Thank you

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Apple only supports the display mode of the target if you want to use your iMac as external to display for an another Mini DisplayPort or Mac of Thunderbolt.

Also, note that you would be able to plug a laptop with Mini DisplayPort connector, or Thunderbolt, and two of them are very strange connectors on non-Apple computers.

Now its telling me my money rial version has expired.  Cannot enter new operations or use online services until you purchase the full retail version of Money. Choose the purchase price or to postpone.  Well, this isn't the first time I tried to buy this product. When money click buy it goes to the http://www.microsoft.com/money/default.mspx who told me that Microsoft Money Plus is no longer available for purchase or expansion of services online.

So is there a solution to my problem?

    Hello

If Microsoft isn't selling more money, then you won't be able to buy through them. I recommend trying another retailer to see if we could buy a copy. Some internet sites like amazon or others can have a copy for sale money.

  • Laptop with Microsoft product key

I have a laptop that I put out of service with a genuine Microsoft product key for XP Home installed plant.  What should I do to be able to install XP Home on another computer?

    Corona98

You have an OEM Windows license on this computer.

    Limits of the OEM computer

According to Microsoft, that an OEM of Windows version is related to the first computer, it is installed on and you can not be installed on another computer. Even if the computer on what OEM of Windows has been installed is no longer used, you cannot transfer the OEM license on another computer.

Difference between a Full and selling retail and OEM/System Builder License.
    Windows OEM licenses:
    (1) are related to the first computer installed on and are non-transferable (cannot be moved to another computer).
    (2) can't do a place in upgrading from older versions of Windows, only a cleaning/fresh installation is possible.
    (3) offer no free support from Microsoft.

    Original title: strange phone call

    Hello

    It's a scam.

Continue hanging up on them if they ring again AFTER that you told them that you contact law enforcement on their subject

And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

What to do if you gave them remote access.

If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, to explain, and change passwords.

If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

There is an article in the link I'm you provide at the end of this one

  • Phone scam. Call claiming to be from Microsoft.

    Original title: phone scam

Received a call from 23-456-7809 today, and he told me he worked for Microsoft and said that my computer has a lot of viruses from the internet. He was also an Indian man. Then he told me to go to run and type 'inf', from there, he said all these files affect my computer and remove any that you don't recognize. I delete anything thankfully. After that he told me to type something else in the Run dialog box and causes the word "cat", I don't remember what the rest of it was but it was a www site. This is when I knew this guy was playing me. I was not followed to type in the site "www" and "cat" in the Run dialog box. I hooked immediately after. My question is if I am at risk because I typed in 'inf '? Give him no personal information or credit card etc. numbers. Just did my Norton anti virus run and 36 risk came after the call that have been removed from my computer. I've was type in 'inf' in the run box for this guy, Im right ok?

It took anytime control of your computer? The part 'cat' makes me leary. If it did not control, he could well have stolen information that puts you at high risk. insofar as a bank or other sensitive sites, you have the passwords for.
