Scan from String - Remove comma

Hello LabVIEW community.  Here's an easy one that made me a bit puzzled.  Then of course, it's not easy for me.  I am using string analysis for city, State, Zip from a string.  I can build the string that I have just described by commas using the Format string in.  But you can't do the opposite and get an error 85.  Yes, I have read the white paper on this and am not entirely sure how to apply their solution.  Yes, I could put bandaids on the code and remove the comma "manually", but I was wondering if the community was able to remove the commas of the chain by simply using the Scan of the chain.

Analysis of the chain is "gourmet" you've discovered.  %s will basically take anything that's possible, including commas, so the first %s will simply take the whole string.  You must put the brakes on it a little.  For simple as cases this (no comma allowed inside the different parts) just replace %s, %s, %s % [^,], % [^,], % [^,] which means corresponds to something that isn't a comma followed by a comma.

  • Spaces and tabs to scan from String

Hi all.  I'm sure this question has been answered before, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I have problems with the scan string function.  My format string specifies the tabs (\t) as separators between several settings, but it also uses spaces.  So a string that contains spaces causes failure on the next parameter, because it expects a number, but sees instead the rest of the chain.

    Please see the attachment.

If I replace spaces by a token (in this case #SPACE #), I can read the string and numbers correctly.  So, I have to re - replace the chips with spaces after reading it back.

Therefore, I'm looking for is a way to specify the tab charater as a delimiter, but not the space character.

    Thanks for your help.

I would like to use % [^ \t] in this case, that will read any character that is not a tab.

  • Get the string inside parentheses - to help scan from string

I have a very basic question here. I would like to extract a part of a chain that is inside the brackets (example: I work with [National Instruments]). In the string, I want to extract only of National Instruments, I know logical extraction in finding media and their extraction. But I am interested in the use of analysis of the chain or possibly any other primitive with a single blow. Please suggest if someone has an idea, I'm not use to the format specifiers. I got this link for reference, but I'm not able to find a solution.

  • Script to remove commas from a csv file

    Hi all

I have the following output to a csv file:

    VM, VI-SVC-VM014, 0000ed, 0000ee,
    VM, VI-SVC-VM103, 0000f3, 0000f2,

    LDEV, SVC PROD Cluster01, 0000df, 0x01
    LDEV, SVC PROD Cluster01, 0000e2, 0x04

I'm looking to remove commas end so that the output looks like this:

    VM, VI-SVC-VM014, 0000ed, 0000ee
    VM, VI-SVC-VM103, 0000f3, 0000f2

    LDEV, SVC PROD Cluster01, 0000df, 0x01
    LDEV, SVC PROD Cluster01, 0000e2, 0x04

The column length for each line (given the number of objects), modular in this output. By this, I mean that some outputs will be like this:

    VM, VI-SVC-VM014, 0000ed, 0000ee, 0000ef
    VM, VI-SVC-VM104, 0000f6, 0000f6

    VI-SVC-VM104, 0000f6, 0000f5, 0000f7, VM, 0000f4
    LDEV, SVC PROD Cluster01, 0000e2, 0x04
    LDEV, SVC PROD Cluster01, 0000de, 0x00

Is it possible to import the data (get-content), delete all non alpha-numeric end of line? Maybe there is an easier way.

    Thank you

    Rob.

    Try something like

    Get-Content file.csv | %{
      $_.TrimEnd(',')
    } | Set-Content newfile.csv

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Printer leaves black lines during copy and scan from ADF

I know this question has been asked several times, but whenever I try to copy or scan from the automatic document feeder, it leaves black lines on the copy (with the document on the works of glass like a charm).  I've read through the forums and have tried the advice to unplug the machine and so on, but none of these suggestions work.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey @Huskers1,

Welcome to the HP's Support Forum!

I see that you have some problems with a line when copying from the document on your Officejet 8600 Premium feeder e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Get a little water and a lint cloth.
    2. Open the left upper part of the printer, where the document since the charger goes into the printer. It should open up as you opened a book.
    3. With your damp cloth wipe the rubber stamp, the rollers in the cover and the casters on the bottom of this section.
    4. Again open the left side of the printer, as you opened a book.
    5. With your damp cloth, wipe the rollers, you will find inside this section.
    6. Close the upper sections of the printer and open the flat section.
    7. With your damp cloth wipe the rollers and the white bar you see on top of the printer
    8. Clean the glass on the left side of the printer.

Once all the pieces you cleaned dry, please let me know the results. If you remove the line, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • scanning from hpOfficejet Pro 8610 for OSX ELCapitan

I can't scan from my Officejet Pro 8610 All-in-one scanner my computer Mac (OSX El Capitan).  It prints well ok.  Someone can help me.  Thank you.

    Hi @Ellen6,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your problem of scanning.

I understand that you can print fine on your computer Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan for a HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer, but you are unable to scan. I would like to help with that.

I would like to start by resetting printing Mac system. If you are unsure how, here is an Apple Support document that can help - reset the printing system.

After resetting the printing system, the printer will have to be added to the printers and Scanners window. You want to make sure that you select the driver "HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 series" instead of the driver "AirPrint" in the menu in the window of printer "Add" drop-down 'use'. Here is a document that can help with this if needed - Add or remove a printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • 8710: 8710 double scan from the ADF

Please help me understand if the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 supports the double scanning from the document feeder. In http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/4AA6-4026ENUC.pdf , is the line: "breeze through with double scanning multipage documents and an automatic C1900 of 50 pages (a single pass double scan 8730/40 models).  How is - a scan a stack of documents recto / verso on a 8710?

For comparison, consider how the 6700 manages.   (A) on the computer, open "Scan HP."  (B) select "ADF." (C) place a check next to "Scan both sides (duplex).»  (D) place up to 20 originals in the document feeder.  (E) click on "search". (The ADF feeds the originals in the scanner.  On the computer, a pop-up scanning HP says: "prepare to analyze the other pages of your two-sided document.  To analyze the other side of pages 1. Remove the pages from the output tray.  Do not change the order of the pages.  2. without turning the pages at the wire, turn and place them in the document feeder according to the landmarks of placement on the device. 3. click OK when you are ready. ") F) after placing the originals rotated in the document feeder, click on 'OK '. (The HP scanning software stores the scan on your computer.)

    @gregspinney

The technical data sheet information in small print:

3 the single pass 50 sheets, ADF automatic duplex is available with only models 8730 and 8740. 8710 and 8720 models have an ADF 50 sheets of double mechanical

While scanning two-sided "single pass" is not available on the 8710, it should provide an automatic duplex scanning.  The leaves should go through the printer, print one side, flip and scan the second side.

Is it possible to change the parameters of the scheduled scan of the Microsoft Security Essentials from the command line or in a script?

I know that I can use the command to schedule the MpCmdRun.exe tool command line to run, but that do not change or remove the existing scheduled scan that appears in the software. Run regedit to merge into the corresponding registry keys does not work because the keys are "locked", probably by the running of MSSE program.

  • HP photosmart C5550 scan from Mac OS x 10.6.8 after driver update

I tried to get that day of your expert, but did not get a response. I am scanning images from a directory of the former for our class reunion. Photos come with a design of type rafters/checkerboard everywhere on some pages and only on some images on other pages.  Some pages contain pictures with them and little nice and clear design.  Someone suggested, it might be something to do with a filter, or the so-called Gaussian blur, but I have no idea what it is.  I tried to use the two IPhoto and the HP software and which makes no difference.  I saw one of your experts to someone else answer that they should try updating the driver, so I followed that direction, but now, the scanner will not all scan to the computer.  I tried to unplug and add the Photosmart, but that did not help. In Applications it does not even show that the Photosmart is connected but it is.  I don't know what else to try.  I tried everything that is too bad to be fixed?  It was working fine until I had this problem of scanning.

We will uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!

Download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page and install it.

There may be more things to do to make it work, but you must be able to scan from your Mac.

    Hello

You can scan from your iPad via the wireless network using the HP Printer Control application:

    https://iTunes.Apple.com/us/app/HP-printer-control/id469284907?Mt=8

The application is available for download from the App Store, be sure to search iPhone apps as the application compatible with the iPad, but isn't an application native iPad.
