  My wife and I are both using iMacs. It is Mountain Lion running, I'm running the Mavericks.

  I checked the updates and we run all the current software.

  We have both access the printer using bluetooth.

  A week ago, we both noticed that the SCAN option disappeared from the Photosmart c309a system pref window.

  I tried to delete the printer, rebooting and then reinstall the printer, the problem remains.

  Attempt to analysis the computer to the printer display panel results in a message on the printer saying "start the Scanner from the computer" as it has always done.

  Print still works fine, so I don't think it's a problem of bluetooth.

  Can't find the answers in the support forum.

  This would mean that there is a hardware failure in the machine, but only with the wireless radio. As you know, the printer works still but not wireless. You can certainly still connect via Ethernet or USB for printing and scanning capabilities well.

  Recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1.  Finally managed to get my PhotosmartPlus B209 connected so it'll print and scan.  On my old laptop, when I scanned it pictures, there was a lot of options to choose from before that I did the actual analysis: several images, resize, rotate, resolution, color correction, to name a few.  Now, on the only option I have is the resolution and can only scan a whole page - not many images.  What Miss me?  What should I do to get all my previous options available?  Added note, I had to change my PhotoImpact 12 PhotoShop elements like my photo editor.

  Found my own answer.  HP tools for scanning only works on the TWAIN compatible devices.  Photoshop has a plugin option that does not install automatically.  Once I found and copied into the correct plug-ins folder, everything works again.

  1. first of all uninstall the software

  • Click on start button, then go to programs > HP > Officejet 6700 , then click on Uninstall.

   

  2. then go to Control Panel > programs and features

  • Officejet 6700 -click and then click on Uninstall option

  3. then download the software on the HP web:

  •  HP Officejet 6700 - drivers and full software features - Windows 7 64 bit

  4 and install with the downloaded software.

• 5514 scan options display is no longer open in the menu of computer device.

  Recently computer shut down hard. Necessary for the use of recovery to get the computer running.   It's the new mcafee virus software. Disabled the firewall and the printer appeared.  Hope this helps someone else.

• C7280 all in one has two scanning options and has no option for scanning to e-mail. He is used to.

  It seems that not all the options are in the analysis... installation options.  Try to check all the parameters of the analysis options to ensure that these file type options are not present.  So, please take a look through the information below the link.

  I had a problem with my connection Wireless to my printer. I deleted my printer to my preferences system (Printers & Scanners dialog box) by mistake. I was able to add the printer to my Printers & Scanners using the IP address of the printer dialog. The work of connection to printer and I am able to print.   I had problems to blur or no image when scanning. I used to use an option to scan HP on my Mac. But I updated the drivers for OS X 10.9.3. I have more drive full version.

  As I understand it, there is a problem with reading lists is no longer appearing on your iPod classic. Among the easier troubleshooting steps you can try, which is likely to solve this problem, is to reset your iPod, as shown here:

  Hi & thanks for your help. I should have sent this a couple of weeks, when I finally had time to sit down and try to get my scanner working as I had no need for a while and drop priority. However, I finally took the time, but to my surprise the scanner working again. I have nothing, just, it started working again as mysteriously as he leaves when I contacted first you.  Ah the wonders of technology!

  You can't have the 'base' installed printer.  For easy and full of scanning options, you need the 'full package', that is, the software feature complete for this printer.

  If you can not get the software of full functionality for your operating system, you may be able to use Windows Fax and Scan.  It's primitive compared to other options, but at least it works.  The feature is available on Windows 7.

  Be aware that sizes for the full feature software download can be very important (about 110 MB approximately 390 MB)-take this into account if you have a slow internet connection.

  • Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down...  Click NEXT and scroll down

  • Save the installation on your computer package *.exe

  Optional:

  • Find the category utility-Diagnostic tools
  • Select "HP Print and Scan Doctor" - save the package on your computer.
