SCCM Remote Client - disconnect the PCoIP Session

Hello

We have a problem on virtual machines Windows XP 64-bit with SCCM remote client.

When the user approved the request, PCoIP session closes. This is not the case on the Windows 7 virtual machines.

I checked pcoip logs and that:

Hi Linjo,

Seems, all my problems are related to the type of OS client!

I will deploy Windows XP 32-bit or Windows 7 for VDI other sites.

I understand there is a patch to 'fix' it, but I don't know how to access.  Can anyone help?   Thank you.

Here is an article on this problem with a proposed solution - although it seems a bit risky.  I would create a point system restore and backup of the registry before trying. http://kjctech.net/2009/06/12/the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error/.  The same answer is given by Microsoft here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=187614.

Here is an another artidle which includes essentially the same correction (although I didn't check closely to see if they were the same): http://www.techbuzz.in/how-to-fix-the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error-in-the-licensing-protocol-in-windows-vista.php.

The thing is, I can't find a clear answer, if this applies between two ordinary computers or between a server and a computer.  I hope that the solution works in both cases.  If this isn't the case, you can still use the system restore to go back to the old situation and we can try to find another solution.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

  • Internet problems after having disconnected the VPN session

I was wondering if someone could tell me a solution for this problem I have.  A year or more ago.

When I had Vista (32 bit), I used to use Cisco's VPN IPSEC client.  At the time, I found that when I disconnect a VPN session, something on my machine would get watered upward.  In other words, I could no longer RDP to my machine from another machine (which I would do so on the internet).  I also found that I could not access other services on my machine to other machines as well through the internet.

Basically, I found this case I disabled/re-enabled my NIC (do it manually or by restarting), I was able to connect once more to my machine.

Now I have Windows 7 (64-bit).  So now I also use Cisco SSL VPN client.  I had hope that this should disappear with the new operating system and the new VPN client, but the problem persists!  Fortunately, the Windows 7 Task Manager can be triggered based on the events that occur.  I created a task that will disable/re-enable my NIC whenever he sees the event of disconnection of SSL in the registry.  While this is a great workaround for me, I would go at the bottom of the issue.  I even helped others in my office with the same question by providing my elegant solution!

Side note: my friend just asked me why he couldn't TRACERT what either.  He spoke to me through our enterprise IM client while VPN was in our network.  I asked if he was on the VPN on the attempt, and he said that it has disconnected first thinking it was the case.  I suggested to him that he can hit the same question that I have, in that the VPN is somehow corrupt its TCP stack or something.  I asked to disconnect from the VPN, once again, turn his NIC, and lo-and-here it could once more tracert.

This issue is documented anywhere?  Are there patches?

    TIA,

    MCDONAMW

What version of AnyConnect you test with?  This could be related to bug CSCsz12568 that has been fixed in the 2.4 client later.  What you can do is capture a snapshot of the Windows routing table before connecting, once connected, disconnected and then again later to see if there is not strange roads that can be bad traffic orientation.

  • The remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in the licensing protocol

With the help of RDS client to connect to a Remote Desktop server.  I get the above message.  This seems to be an error in license server but other computers connect, no problem, and the one used for.  There is a fix where - in one deletes the MSLicensing key.  I did this, but nothing helped.  I really thought that MS could help me with this because there is a licensing issue, but so far, I'm on my own.

I recommend transfer you your question in the Forum Pro Technet IT to the: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/category/windowsvistaitpro/ , where the experts with more technical experience will be happy to seat you.

  • Remote Desktop left the unlocked console session after I disconnect, - BAD!

Often, I connect to my Home PC, Windows XP Pro SP3 running to work.  When I leave the House, the session is locked.

I recently discovered that when I disconnect from a remote desktop session, the computer is left * unlocked * even if I disconnect the session by locking the PC.

I'm fairly certain that it wasn't how things behave initially.  This change with SP3?

Currently, I connect to work with a Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) machine, but there is this problem with my old laptop which ran from XP Pro SP3.

How can I stay locked to disconnect the console session?

END THE SESSION IS NOT AN OPTION.  I have user programs that run in the session that must continue to run. I have need of the session is running, but locked.

    Hello

In my case it was the full client of Teamviewer which is a problem, including a version earlier than 5.1.9385, when I upgraded to this one, the problem disappeared!

Now there's another question that should be checked, if you Live Mesh Beta (which runs on windows XP and not a new one which has no Vista/7), then there are chances that you have activated the Remote Desktop feature, you can find two devices under the 'View' node in the Device Manager named 'Live Mesh curtain Driver' and 'Live Mesh Mirror Driver. You can turn them off, restart and check if the problem persists.

A last suggestion if the above could not solve the problem is to update the drivers of network card in your machine.

    I hope this helps.

  • Remote Web Workplace - VBScript: Remote Desktop disconnected

Using Small Business Server 2003 (SBS 2003 SP1 Premium).  The Remote Web Workplace Remote Desktop connection has worked for years.  We apply Microsoft Updates to the server last week and since that time, we get a message telling VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected - the client could not connect to the remote computer.

We have verified that no other changes were made in the environment since the last time that this feature was working.  We looked on the web and on the Microsoft site, and none of the usual causes of this question seems to apply.  Other features SBS seems to operate normally.

We are looking for additional troubleshooting steps, we can take.

  • User logged on the server over the RDP session - Small Business Server 2011 x 64

We have a Small Business Server 2011 standard x 64.  We have the configuration of the remote desktop on port forwarding in the firewall to allow a user to connect to this server using RDP remote desktop.  This isn't a server terminal server.  No, there are no available Remote Desktop Manager settings.

When the user connects through the RDP application and connects to the server.  If the users session is idle for 15 minutes, the user is connected to the server (not disconnected the RDP session, just to connect to the server).  The user must log into the server every time that happens.  We tried adjusting the Remote Desktop Session Host settings and changed the Session time limits, but this isn't the parameter we are looking for.  We have looked extensively through the default domain group policy and see nothing active to this behavior.  We examined local group policies and studied the session time limits in the user and computer configuration > policies > models Admin > RDP >... session host and it is has anything configured here which could trigger this behavior.

Yet once, it connects the disabled user, not closing the remote session.  We have also examined the user account for this user and looked for resume posting require logon settings (although with SBS, it is not even there to adjust the display settings).  I had partner Microsoft supports focus on this during one hour (he didn't use too much of my time to support) and they have been unable to resolve within an hour.

    Help, please!

    Thank you.

  • allow traffic through remote client

    Hi friends,

    I'll explain my setup.

I have an asa in datacenter with the static ip address, then site Office also having static ip, these two sites are connected via VPN and I configured the remote client to the data center.

workers of remote client needs to access the network of site office. It's my setup.

the problem I faced is that remote workers they cannot access the site office network.but if I try to ping the ip vpn site office pool and then if I try

the remote client, I can able to access the siteoffice of the remote client.

Please provide me with the solutions experts

I understand that you have the following topology:

    (1) Lan-to-Lan VPN between data center and site office

    (2) VPN Client that connects to the data center and here also join the site Office.

There are a few things that need to be configured for the VPN Client to access the site office:

    On the ASA Data Center:

    -command "permit same-security-traffic intra-interface"

-Tunnel of Split ACL must include the site LAN Office

-Crypto ACL for LAN-to-LAN VPN must include the following:

    permit ip access list

    On the ASA site Office:

-Crypto ACL for LAN-to-LAN VPN must include the following:

    permit ip access list

    -NAT exemption must include:

    permit ip access list

  • Authentication IPsec VPN Client using the digital certificate

    Hello

Please I need some clarification and help to set up my ASA 5540 with IOS 8.3 x for client certificate authentication remote.

I have my certificate root from the Microsoft CA, but not quite sure if the steps described in the following cisco Web sites are exactly what I need since the firewall seems to generate the certificate to use.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080930f21.shtml

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a008073b12b.shtml

My setup is such that the CA will issue certificates to remote clients and the ASA firewall, and remote clients will authenticate and connect with their certificates which the firewall is constantly updating using the Revocation list updated by the certification authority.

The dhcp pool must be issued by the DC inside network and not on the firewall.

Are there any examples or best practices to achieve steps will be really appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi Josh,.

Let me explain briefly how Auth PKI:

In a public key infrastructure configuration, devices trust not each other directly, but they have a certification authority, which is the one who issues the certificate. We call this root CA (there may be a more complex configuration WHERE intermediate are involved, but that's another story). So when the root CA issues a certificate, he signs it with its private key. To be able to verify this signature, we should have the CA public key, which is included with the certification authority.

So for certificate authentication, you must create a trustpoint, that defines the parameters of the root certification authority.

Then you will authenticate this trustpoint, which basically means that you will get the certificate of the root CA and store locally.

After that, you sign up to this CA, which means that you will ask for (and get) your own certificate.

Other users will do the same and have the same root CA Cert, but different personal (identity) certificates.

So what happens on authentication is that both ends send their certificate to the other, and they will use the public key contained in the root CA to validate the signature of the certificate received from the remote peer. If the signature is correct, this means that the certificate authority root actually issued the certificate, and this remote peer can be trusted (or not)

    Hope this is clear.

  • Is there a way to allow users to disconnect their sessions on a remote server to the RDP from their local machine?

QWINSTA and other command line utilities are a bit too complicated for the end users, we of course do not disconnect the session hurt accidentally. In general, we only questions with sessions stuck to a few users who would be perfect if utilities command-line integrated for rdp sessions would allow to change username, but since they require a dynamic session id # I don't know how this could be scripted. Is there a tool available for Windows 7 clients on a Server 2008 RDP allowing them to disconnect from their own session if they are blocked? We have enrolled in different time zones who have to connect remotely in order to do their job and sometimes it is too early here for someone to be there to help.

I found a http://www.ctrl-alt-del.com.au/ , but it says it is only for Server 2003 and I tried and got an error flashed too quickly to be read.

  • PCOIP Session disconnects after 15 minutes

    http://communities.VMware.com/docs/doc-17799

I have about 50 clients that disconnect them all their PCOIP session after 15 minutes. It disconnects without worrying if they are actively using the mouse/keyboard or not. In the windows application log, I get a declarant to VMware View event 102

"In waiting for portal logon has expired for user domain\user, wssm has not started correctly, or the user could not connect and connect." In waiting for County left = 0 "

I checked the following VMware DOC (http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-17799) and the Userinit registry key is set correctly. I also checked that the WSSM process is started. If the key work correctly as well.

If I restart the WSSM. EXE, the problem process is delayed for a few hours, but comes back and disconnect users after 15 minutes again. Have to restart this process on each of these virtual machines is becoming a pain.

I tried to change the delay setting in the GPO ADM template, but to the maximum setting login Ticket is 900 seconds (15 minutes). I know that I can directly change the registry key "\VMware VDM\Agent\Configuration\VdmConnectionTicketTimeout HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.", but I don't want to work around the problem - I would like to fix.

From my understanding, the user gets a ticket valid on connection, 15 minutes later the ticket expires and the user is disconnected, and then reconnected immediately and the cycle repeats. I guess that the ticket he supposed to get a new ticket some time in this window of 15 minutes, but for some reason any is not.

    Any ideas?

Take a look at your PCOIP logs and see if you can determine what is the code of disconnection.  You can cross reference here to see why it is disconnected.

  • PCoIP sessions switching between thin clients

    Hi all

I can't find all posts on this topic.

I was wondering if it is possible to connect to a PCoIP session since a thin client (Wyse P20 / Dell FX100) then connect to the same session of a thin client different self-disconnection of the previous session. Thin clients could be side by side or on separate parts of the network / country.

I'm under VMware View 5, with ESXi 5 backend.

    Sorry, I wasn't clear.

The behavior you observe is the result to set this option to 'Yes' – he tells to ignore existing sessions and to establish a new view.

If you want your existing users 'take over' connected sessions, you need to 'no '.

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried the suggestions in this article in the Knowledge Base, about a week ago.  No solution.

However, it seems I have finally fixed.  I left my homegroup (my PC, no wife), restarted the PC, then restored and joined the homegroup.  The message "client remote active" stopped appearing and my PC now sleeps normally.

I guess that there is a fault with the homegroup on my PC that caused the non-stop message 'customer remote active'.  Previously I ran MS Network convenience stores and home group - several times - but without success.

I think that the problem is resolved.
