Schedule of presentations

Y at - it was easy to reproduce a full-day content that consists of several presentations

without doing each one individually?

Again, being new to this, once I put in place the value of a day of presentations and I think this will work well, sometimes want to repeat this schedule another day.

Thank you

Rose Ann

Rose Ann,

If your program is multiple presentations for a day (Monday for example), then you can duplicate the presentation per presentation (not bulk select) based. In the current version of the DMS there is no way to select several presentations in the Planner for a day and duplicate this calendar days together to another day.

However it looks like an improvement request good :-) You can produce for a request for improvement through your team SE Cisco or account.

If I have answered your concerns - please mark this message as answered.

Kind regards

Do not use the email submit button.. .that is scheduled to present XML. Use a normal button and capture a Submit type. This will activate the tab submit in the object palette. You can set the URL as a mailto:emailAdress , and in this screen, you can also choose the option to present as... .choose PDF.

  • Empty. CSV only when presents itself as a scheduled task.

I have a script that I am trying to run in 2012 R2 Windows Task Scheduler. The script works fine manually, but as a scheduled task, the .csv file is delivered empty. Who that it fell on this before?

I run it on the Server Windows 2012 and it works very well. Looking at your script, add the following line to the first line of your script:

    Add-PSSnapin VMware.VimAutomation.Core

    For the Action, I use:

    C:\Windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe

    And the argument:

    -PSConsoleFile "C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\Infrastructure\vSphere PowerCLI\vim.psc1"-command '& {C:\scheduled\report.ps1} '.

Let me know if this does not work.

  • Win XP Pro - scheduled tasks

I need more information about scheduled tasks.

My backup software does not work. I get error logs.

I need more examples to make it work.

This isn't a lot of information to go.

Here are a few notes unattractive, I have about scheduled tasks that can help you get started.  One day I have to make it more presentable:

It is strongly suggested that the task entrusted to a user with a password (using the administrator account is not recommended), so create a new user with a password just for tasks or add a password to your account, if necessary.

You can temporarily assign a password for test and worry about that later. This time just to see if your ST mechanism works correctly.

If you configure the task to use the same account that you log in, you'll usually be able to see the task to launch and start running while you use the computer.  It is useful to see the task run in front of your eyes.

If you configure the task to use another account that connect with the task must run again (and you see it), but for the test, use your own login account and then change the account of the task uses later when you're sure that it all works.

If you try to create a new task by using an account that does not have a password, you will get this error trying to create the task:

The new task has been created, but may not work because the account information could not be set.

The specific error is 0x80070005: access is denied.

Still, the task will be created, but it will not run correctly.

Is there a way to get around that, but get this working first for if ensure your mechanism of the scheduled task is not afflicted.

Stop the Task Scheduler service. Click on start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, services and locate the Task Scheduler Service and stop it.

Remove or rename the scheduled task probably cluttered log file that is usually found here:

    c:\Windows\SchedLgU.txt

Restart the Task Scheduler service to create a new journal (it's just a text file) and verify that a new log file has been created and that it looks like this:

    "Task Scheduler service".

    Started on 01/01/2010 06:26:43

[* The most recent entry is above this line *]

Navigate to the folder c:\windows\tasks to see all your tasks. Expand the Explorer window you can see all the columns interest by dragging the column headers for each column.

The next columns Run Time, last run time, status and latest results are interesting. You can also click Advanced and view the log file of ST from here.

Choose to add scheduled task.  Create a new task to run once command prompt now.  If you do not have a PW on your account, you will get an error while trying to create it (more on that later).  The new task will still be created, but it will never run. Assign a password to your account, at least temporarily, to test your mechanism of the scheduled task.

After you have assigned your login password account temporarily, adjust the new scheduled task, you created to run the command prompt so that it uses the same account and password used to log on to Windows and the task must configure and save without error.

Right-click the new task command prompt and choose run and a command window should open immediately.  If this isn't the case, something is wrong.  If so, your mechanism is healthy.  Examine the log file to view your results.

Given that the task of the command prompt is configured to run under your account, that is why you will see the command prompt window open immediately.  If you have configured the task to use a different account (with a password of course), the task of the command prompt would run under this name of users (not your own) and you wouldn't open the command prompt window, but the task would be running and you can see in the Task Manager.  This way you know your ST mechanism works.

Now that you know how to execute tasks manually, how to observe the columns of information, to know how to remove the log file, you can apply this knowledge to your new task.  Make sure that the Task Scheduler service is running again if you don't stop it to remove the log during the test.

Assign properties to your new task or annoying that match your login (at least for testing), observe the columns and the newspaper.  If your task fails to run manually, errors in the log file are the clues to find out what to do next.

Always try to return to the simple task of command prompt that you created to make sure that the ST mechanism working properly - before you know for sure that one works.  Then apply your knowledge to get your new task to work.

You can edit the task properties to use your login account and password since you know it is working on the task from the command prompt.  If you change your new task and choose to run it and logged in with the same account, you should see your Execute task.  When you are satisfied, it is not working properly, you probably don't want to interrupt you while you are connected, so change it back the properties to use another connection to the user account that has a password that you have created just to run your scheduled tasks.

Tasks that are created by other applications will use the special account NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.  This account has no password and is typically used for system-oriented tasks, but you will only be able to see the performance when you use the Task Manager.

If you try to manually run a ST as you see it open any window to run, but you will see running in Manager tasks and in the log file.  If you want to see actually run, change the properties to use your account and password, solve the task, and then change the properties back and test it again.

These types of tasks can work very well, but you can tell by the log file, looking in the Task Manager, or columns of status in the folder tasks.  If you temporarily modify the task to use the same account and password you use to log in, you will be able to watch him run.

Once you understand how to get a simple task like working of command prompt and you know where is the log file and how to edit the task properties, you can work on your new task or afflicted and make it work.

There are ways around some of the restrictions and requirements, but it is best to only use what you have and use wisely.

A common problem with scheduled tasks is that there is no password for the account used to create the task or people expect to 'see' the task running when it is not assigned to their connection and when theydon can't see anything and think that the job is not running.  This isn't how it works.  The log file and the Task Manager will tell you what is actually happening.

If you're used to not having a password on your account because you do not have to enter a when you login or you are the only user on your system and decide to start using some mesh, it is sometimes easier to simply assign a password for your account, or just create a new user account XP with a password and use it for the m.  You can assign a password to your account and still have your system set in place to never ask for a password when you sign in, but you must remember your password - or set up a new account just for your scheduled tasks.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Task Scheduler stopped working after Windows updates

This just happened to one the many updates just installed.  Microsoft does not identify the Console as being updated but I did a restore + the task manager has been fine.

Installed November put up-to-date and Scheduler of tasks is still a Virgin is in one of the updates. hidden of course.  If someone found the number of update, please send along!

    Hello

Unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/72491-Windows-Update.html

Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

  • Unable to schedule the disk, always set to 'never' Defragmenter in Vista

When I call the Disk Defragmenter screen still reads that my next scheduled time is 'never '.  even if I reset the calendar at a specific time, when I close and call it back up the next scheduled time is again back to 'never', what is wrong?

There are several reasons why the built-in function may not work correctly:

    0. it is malware on the system. Solution: Run an anti-virus control and also a spyware check.

    1. the disk is too full (you need at least 15% free space, sometimes 20%). Solution: Delete files unnecessary and programs until you have more than 20% free space.

    2. the disc is damaged and must be repaired. Solution:

a.Open "My computer" and right click the drive that you want to disable frag.
    b. Select 'Properties' and click on 'tools '.
    c. Select "Check now" to check the drive for errors.
    d. Select the two options and click on 'start '.

(This can take time and can restart the PC so that it can do the check at boot time. Be patient and let it complete).

    3. Disk Defragmenter can be altered, needing a system restore to fix it. Solution:

    a. start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore (click here to open);
    b. Select a good restore point before you start having problems with Disk Defragmenter.
    c. start the restore process and let it finish. (Name the descriptive restore as "Repair of Defrag" operation).

    4. There are other programs that run the Defragmenter interruption integrated. Solution:

    a. close all running programs.

    b. If you think there may be some programs that run in the background.

    c. press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and

    d. Select "start Task Manager".

    e. under the 'Applications' tab, you will find a list of all running applications - you can close these by selecting "end task."

    5. If still no luck, try disabling the screen saver when you run Disk Defrag (you should very well leave the system only when running the built-in defragmentation utility).

    6. If still no go, try to run the defragmenter in Mode without failure. If she runs, something interferes with her and stalking interference may not be easy. Note: Some versins of Win 7 disable the ability to run the Defragmenter built-in in safe mode. If disabled, it will say when you try to start it in safe mode.

7 Disk Defragmenter may no longer be on the system or is damaged while it needs a re - install. Solution:

    a. open the menu 'start '.
    b. type '% Windir%\Inf' in the 'Search' box and press 'Enter '.
    c. in the window that opens, find the file named "dfrg.inf.
    d. right-click on "dfrg.inf" and "install". (Note: apparently the specified file is not present on some versions of Win 7 - go to step 8).

    8. most of the problems will be solved by #6 above, but if not, and if your windows installation is otherwise working well, you should consider to download a free trial of a Defrag tool commercial rather than drastic measures to restore the perfect bed-s. Third-party programs are more robust and many work in the background, so you can use your PC during defragmentation.

Most third party programs offer a fully functional free trial version (better ones are for 30 days). Install one of them allows you to disable built-in and if you decide to uninstall, removal will replace the built-in function, repaired several times in the process: it's worth a try...

Here's a recent Top 10 comments side-by-side comparison of the best available defragmentation programs:

    http://Disk-Defragmenter-software-review.TopTenReviews.com/

The gold medal is the only defrag of program that prevents the fragmentation (see the reiew).

Why is it good to prevent fragmentation?

Basically, it significantly increases life expectancy of your hard drive (especially since you don't have to leave the system on all night - a much 'greener' agricultural practice), not to mention it also increases the performance of the system.

Find out what the review has to say on this.

    Good luck to you!

PS: If still no go, repair may involve editing the registry or repair installation of windows and possibly re - install windows itself. These aren't simple solutions. If so, indicate if they can be provided.

  • Task Scheduler: several "Image is corrupt or has been tampered with." Guests after downgrading from win 10

    Hey all,.

After trying 10 Windows for a bit, I decided to downgrade (via "Go back to Windows 7" in the control panel-> update of the security & -> Recovery Windows 10). Downgrade succeeded had no problem (at least at first glance), but for a number of tasks in the Task Scheduler, I am presented with the following message:

"Image is corrupt or has been tampered with."

I know that many of these tasks are not associated with Microsoft and others, but there is a lot I don't recognize yet. Having research this problem the only resolution is to either restore a previous backup or remove corrupt task (and restore if possible), however they contain is the problem, I'm not sure who I should restore (if any) and the restoration, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I would like Win 7 Task Scheduler to cause Locate32.exe Explorer file update there database every 45 minutes when I am connected. (Locate32 can do it by itself, but must operate continuously in the background to do).  I'm obviously not in the right info, because it does not work for me. I got the details to enter another site, as I am not familiar with the Task Scheduler.

Task field name walked - locate32.

    In trigger I select daily

then by selecting a time of 5 minutes before present, to test works

then, in the action, I'm selecting Start a program

    then in program/script I enter 'C:\ProgramFiles\Locate\locate32 '.

    then in arguments - U

Usually it is a notification when I update of database Locate32. This does not occur with the scheduled task, and when I look in the Task Scheduler for tasks that have been made, this one does.

I checked the user information is correct.

Please could someone tell me what I should do instead? Thank you, Jay

    Hello

We apologize late in the response. This problem can be caused by incorrect settings.

To display hidden scheduled tasks, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start. In the search box, type Task Scheduler. Then, in the list programs, click Task Scheduler.

    2. On the view menu, click Show hidden tasks.

Try to re-create the task and check if it helps:

    1. Press the Windows key + R > type taskschd.msc and press enter (it will launch the Task Scheduler)
    2. Click with the left button of the right pane on the Task Scheduler Library > open Action on the menu at the top of the page > new folder... > name MyTasks > click OK
    3. Left-click on the MyTasks > menu, choose Action > create a basic task (it open Assistant tasks)
    4. You can enter the name , for example "restart" and press Next
    5. In the trigger section, you can specify when you want to run your task, for example:
      • Select daily and press Next
      • Now, you can specify the day, time and the game to be repeated daily, after that press Next
    6. In the Action section, you can choose what you want to run, for example, restart your system to do this:
      • Choose start a program and press Next
      • in the area of program/script, type shutdown /r and press next
    7. And that's all, you can press Finish

    Let us know the status.

    Hello

Since my computer has been updated for W7, Task Scheduler can no longer launch ppsx documents. It opens the document for editing (as a document pptx) instead of the mode of presentation. The problem is new with windows 7, he worked with XP. When I run the document myself, it works as well.

    Concerning

Do not directly schedule the PPS file.  Instead, plan the PowerPoint program and tell it to start the PPS file.  Make your task like this:

    "c:\program files\microsoft office\office12\POWERPNT.exe" / s "present . ' ation1.pptx '

This scheduled task will launch the file specified in a show (given the S parameter).

When you post a video in the show and share, you can schedule a video.  One of the options when planning is to archive the video after a specified time.  I have learned that when your video hits on the duration specified for archiving, your video should go back to the planning stage.  My videos become hidden, but are still published.  You see them unless you are looking for them.  How it is supposed to work?

Yes the video archive it hides from view but always present and available video by people who might see him origninally by searching.

  • A scheduled task shows she completed successfully, but it really didn't. How can I fix?

The task that I put in place runs the following image:

The task runs a script file SQL for the database on drive E:\ which is an external drive for backup.

When E:\ is not present, of course, the task is not ended, but the Scheduler of tasks that are still actions successfully completed.

I'm assuming that the Task Scheduler is just by saying "I've been able to run the script with the specified program file, then it has succeeded," but this is really not what I'm after. I need to know if the tasks in the script that is running the Scheduler of tasks actually performed.

Is there something I can do to report if the task succeeded or not, so that the Task Scheduler shows correctly?

I know that this is possible if you use a batch file that uses the exit codes (I'm sure that other types of scripts have end codes, but I'm not familiar with most of the other types of scripts).

You can check with the developers/scripting Microsoft Developer Network forums.  These MSDN forums are intended more to this, while this community is more concentrated consumer.

You did changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest you follow these methods and check.

Method 1: Perform the clean boot and check.

To do this, follow the steps in this link:

NOTE: After you check the clean boot feature configure Windows to use a Normal startup using step 7 proposed in the above mentioned link.

Method 2: Run the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker and check if it helps.

Follow the shape of measures the following link: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 3: Re-create the tasks and check.
