This system, I want to talk about is a former server, I want to sell and so would like to know my legitimate legal options to exit the software out there and sell. Or maybe remove the license key and keep myself to use it on a newer server hardware, or simply delete if I don't own the software: (.) It's coming off a hungry sunserver, noisey old power which must be sold.

  You can transfer a license that you own server to server.

  You cannot use a license which has been on a server that was purchased from the previous owner of the server.  The following is from the EULA for vSphere:

  2. LICENSE GRANT.

  2.1 scope of license. Subject to the terms and conditions of this EULA, VMware grants you, during the licence term, a license, non-exclusive and non-transferable use the software, in the form of executable code only, the territory, for your internal operations in accordance with (a) Documentation; (b) the Type of licence for which you have paid the applicable fees; (c) other applicable restrictions set out in the order. The software license is limited to the amounts specified in each order there is.

• Paper volume license

  I have just started a business and you plan to have 5 calculates. I followed questions

  1. can I I opt for Open value (Volume Licensing) purchase 5 licenses with payment in advance.

  2. must have a FPP before we opted for the open license.

  3. If one of my computer (from set of 5) is hardware problem and is not repairable.

  Now if I buy a new machine and install the o/s then is it considered as legal.

  I mean Open License value allows for use on the new computer if the former turns off.

• Licenses

  I have a question about the Microsoft licenses for a network that I plan for the company that I work:
  * Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter edition
  for our users work stations will be thin clients running ChromeOS)
  Our users will use the client to access their virtual machines (VDI) running windows OS.

  We already have a license for the server operating system, but we are not sure 100% of the necessary licenses for the computers of users and connections.
  I understand that we have to buy for each user:
  * A CAL RDS to access the machine VDI
  * A license of operating system for the Windows operating system that is installed on the machine VDI

  Except for the licenses of applications, are there other licenses that we have to buy in order to allow users to connect to their virtual machines?

  I was wondering if it's in Microsoft's EULA to use a Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter license which will be purchased by EBay with original Dell DVD and COA stickers on a Dell server.

• 2012 Foundation Server license compliance

  The server has not completed the compliance audit of the licenses. If the server is joined to a domain, make sure that the server can connect to a domain controller. If the license compliant check cannot be performed, the server will automatically stop in 0 days

  I started to get this two small server running Server 2012 Foundation R2, they work well for almost a year into two separate companies. All of the sudden they both started to get this error. The server are Fujitsu, both running the OEM of ROK Fujitsu version are authorized and registered with microsoft. They work together in a 'working group' envioment and both have 9/10 users (Foundation supports 15 users) that I've seen so much after that, but neither gives an answer before stright as to what is the problem and how to fix it? a moment to give a shared other printer installed DNS, I checked both and both work very well. The two server is the only server on the network and is configured as a tourist server but are not used as such users share only 1 or 2 folders and print nothing else is used. Any pointer appsiated.

• P2V-Hyper - V Server 2003 license

  We want to test P2V of a file server, but not actually to use the virtual copy of the Server 2003 file in production.  I finished the P2V and the server is now in Hyper-V, but when I restart him and try to connect, he wants me to reactivate the license server, if I do it will be the origin server (physical server active still in production) stop working or reveals the key is no longer valid? If so, is there a way to circumvent this problem, because we have not both upwards at the same time in the production?

• License with 2012 VM server issues

  I use 2012 r2 essentials, I put in place 1 vm on the BONE and used it for 30 days of trial period.

  I then bought a license, when I enabled the host what OS, the virtual machine is not triggered automatically.

  I then activated the virtual machine with the key instead, because it is more critical than the host.

  Is there a specific way it can get both machines activated using one of the keys?

  I installed and activated other components RD. However, when we want to get into CAL, I get the error message "the license code is not recognized. Make sure that you have entered the correct license code»  I use Windows 2008 Server R2 Enterprise edition.

  Hello, I recently woke up Windows Server R2 VDI host 2012. I have 5 users test currently, they use Windows 7 Enterprise for each workstation.  They are all access to the VDI server within the company at the present time.

  With regard to the licenses of the SA, VDA, client access licenses remote can be confusing.

  If I buy the VDA licenses for them, the way I read some FAQ I shouldn't away from CAL, is that correct, or I read incorrectly?
