Screen brightness problem

Hello

I have a problem with my brightness of the screens. The brightness keys does not work all suddenly and in charms in brightness, I can move the cursor, but nothing happens. My screen is stuck at a all time high. I have a Paviion Windows 8 Hp TouchSmart 15 Notebook PC. I tried disabling and uninstalling my HD graphics card, but the problem persists... What do I do?

Hi Naruto101,

We have to remove TeamViewer. Check the Add/Remove programs and make sure that all software has been removed from it. If we can't be deleted from there you can do a system restore to an earlier date until it has been installed, using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

If you are unable to uninstall with it then you need to get in touch with the Forum of TeamViewer for instructions to uninstall.

I hope this helps, keep me posted on how things are going.

Good luck and have a great day!

    Hello
I own a U840-10V laptop and I have a little problem with my screen brightness from the first day I got it.
The fn keys work correctly. When I press the button Fn + F2 or F3 I see small panel brightness adjustment, but values 1,2,3,5,6 and 7 (except 4) seem to have the same level of brightness (the 4th is darker).

How can I solve my problem?
    Thank you

    Hello

You must install VAP and Support of Flash Card Utility for the FN keys works!
Installation of VFR will not help you if you should not install Flash memory card Support utility.

As far as I know, these two tools are not phone specific, so you can choose the VAP and the published Flash card for example utility for Satellite L500!

I did it on my laptop and it worked fine!

  • On the P750-13D Satellite screen brightness problem

    Hello world

I have a portable Satellite P750-13D. My problem is; When I press FN + F7, the brightness of the screen decreases.
However, when I press FN + F6, increases the brightness of the screen. Thus, he works in an opposite way.

What should I do to solve the problem?

    Thank you.

    Very strange problem.
Are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop?
Have you noticed this behavior from the first day?

As a general rule I don t hear big problem. I imagine that you use different powers and for each plan power plans, you can set certain level of brightness. Using FN + F2 keys you can change the profiles of power and brightness level too.

    Hello

Another problem with my new Dell XPS 13 (model 9333) - for any reason, during loading or no, changes in brightness screen without saying me things to do (she just made right now by writing this sentence!).

Any ideas on why this is happening? It's kinda like a light automatic on a smartphone but much more random thing! It really starts to wreck really my head.

Any help appreciated no matter how silly it sounds!

    See you soon,.

I found a setting called "enable adaptive brightness" which seems to turn off this nonsense.  On Win8.1, it is:

Power options > change Plan settings > change advanced power settings > display > enable adaptive brightness

  • EliteBook 2530p - screen brightness problem

    Hello

I have a new laptop of beautiful 2530p and it's awesome in every way, except a problem.  The screen is nice and bright 100% when it is connected to the power supply.  However when I unplug the screen fades because it is running on battery power.  When I plug the plug back in, the screen don't revert not to sound original brightness, it remains what it was when running on battery power, even though it says that it is the maximum brightness when you press fn + f10.  I have to restart to get max brightness.  Does anyone else have this problem? I am running XP and BIOS is the most recent revision F08.

    Thank you

Good news. I just upgraded my BIOS with the latest version F0A and I can confirm that this solves the problem of the small screen on the HP Elitebook 2530p.

    Thank you for fixing this.

  • Windows 7 is not supported (the screen brightness problem)?

I called Lenovo technical support to see if they had a solution for unable darken the screen in Windows 7.  The suport person told me to load the most recent drivers.  I did and then recalled with my file number.  I told them that the suggestion did not work (I knew he wouldn't).

The guy asked me if I had received the update of Win 7 from Lenovo, and I said, 'no, I bought Windows 7 and installed this version.

Finally, when he realized that he couldn't help me, he told me that they couldn't give me more help because I had loaded "unsupported software.  Apparently, they believe Windows 7 (if not received Lenovo) 'no software support!

I had the same problem, I have just upgraded to windows 7 this week and could not adjust the brightness, but after the bios updated everything it worked perfectly.

Here is the link for all the drivers for your choice of system the correct bios for your system, which should be the 32 bit one

Once I updated my laptop that my display brightness is set to max and my battery performance is low. I have tried everything to resolve even from the keyboard and Control Panel, but it didn't work - my eyes are painful.

    Hello

Check with your system manufacturer support, their documentation online and ask for their
    Forums about known problems.

Control Panel - Power Options - check power management

  • ProBook 6570b: screen brightness works do not, the unknown device on PCI

    Hello

I have a Probook 6570 b with processor i5 here. He is running on W7 x 64 professional. As in all computers, we decided to replace the hard drive for an SSD. After replacing the hard drive and reinstallig W7 and drivers, there is a problem that I can't fix. It seems that I can't get the Fn keys for brightness screen work. The others work, volume gives a nice popup, evenso buttons additional display.

Unplug the power supply makes the screen dim brightness. Who works. In the energy configuration screen, I can also adjust the screen brightness properly. Only the driver for F9 and F10 does not work.

I don't know if it's related, but in Device Manager, I get an unknown device on a PCI bus. I have not been successful in finding drivers for this one as well. In the detailed tab, it says: * HPQ6000

    Thanks for responding!

    Hello:

I understand that you are looking for a way to control the brightness of the display in Windows 10. I'm happy to help you with this.

Try typing the screen brightness in the dialog box search/Cortana.

Click on the setting screen brightness element, probably at the top of the list that appears.

It opens the Power Options window. At the bottom of the window is a screen brightness slider.

  • T420s - screen brightness increases and decreases

    Hello

I noticed on my T420s that changes of screen brightness according to the image on the screen.

    For example:

-I'm looking at some site with black background and gray letters

When I pass screen for my outlook or for example firefox with this forum which first minutes white white background is gray and then it becomes whiter and whiter until after about 2 seconds, he moved.

I thought at first my eyes question, but it is certainly behavior from my laptop.

Anyone with the same problem? Can do this set by some software/Power Manager tweak?

Do you use your laptop on battery when this happens?

It is a setting I believe you can disable in the Intel graphics settings. Mine does the same thing - it's supposed to save energy.
