Screen on Satellite C50 problem - B - 14 d

Hi, my screen suddenly changed from full screen to a small black screen on each side. It happened about 5-10 seconds after I had closed a game and put the laptop in front of me. No idea how I can change this please. I'm panicking because it's my moms laptop. Thank you

To be honest, I can't explain what is wrong with that but of course your laptop changed resolution for the game and after closing the game he has not rekindled the original and recommended resolution.

Try to change it manually, or just try to restart your laptop. I'm sure that your laptop will start again with the correct resolution.

  • Replacing the screen on Satellite C50-A-1CK

    Hello

The screen of my C50-A-1CK Satellite was recently broke and I need a replacement, but I have no experience with this sort of thing. Editing actually screen won't be a problem (I'm lucky enough to have friends who will fit it free) but I need to buy one and I'm not sure which one to buy.

I'm looking for something around £40 or less if possible, and I'm in the United Kingdom, if a British salesman would be best. I would prefer to get one on eBay, if possible, so I would really appreciate if I could get a link rather than just "oh looking for it and you will find.

I thank very you much in advance!

To be honest, it is not easy to give you some good advice on this. Why? Replacing the screen is rather complicated and almost entire laptop must be disassembled. To do this you need manuals maintenance with explanation step by step how to do this and avoid any damage. This document is not a public document, so I do not know who want to help and how.

If a person without experience and expertise want to do this, can damage your laptop even more. There are many smallholders plastic that can be broken or damaged.

I don't know, but in my opinion, you should contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help. It costs a little, but it will happen on the vocational track.

Anyway, I don't live in the UK so I don't want to pick you up. You can check ebay UK and search for 15.6 HD 200 CSV LD and if you find a seller contact by phone and check compatibility with your laptop satellite.

  • Need information about type of screen for Satellite C50

    Hello

Wondering if anyone could help clarify what the situation is in what regards the matte and glossy screens on the series C50. Ideally, the specific model numbers say that I'd get a matte screen? and also ideally on Amazon UK for example regarding the product links.

What you need is a screen of 15.6 widescreen (13.6 "x 7.6") with a plug of 40 pins LED

The part number isn't known to me and I think that this info would be very useful as reference numbers are Toshiba's internal reference numbers.

If you want to buy a display of the independent garage, search in google SATELLITE - Matt of C50 has 15.6 widescreen

I found some online resellers providing this part but don't want to post the link because I n t want to do a promotion.

However, you can also get all the compatible parts of local authorized Toshiba service providers

It is certainly the unwanted material. On this virtual path, no one can say with certainty what the problem but the fact is that laptop must be disassembled and checked what may be the problem.

  • Strange screen on Satellite L300 problem

I have a laptop Satellite L300. Lower third of the screen is gray and the right side of the bottom has third vertical lines of color similar to a bar code on a supermarket product.

If possible, connect your laptop to external monitor or a television to see if the same appears here.

If so, this is caused by a faulty graphics card. If not that cell phone s display defective and must be replaced.

Laptop s hardware seems to be affected.
But maybe you should try a common solution that would breathe new life into Notepad.

First unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button keep it pressed for about 30-40sec
Then connect the battery and the AC adapter.
Now press the power button once more.

    What happens now?
    Could you give some feedback?

    Dear Sir / Madam

I have a problem in the configuration of my screen, I have a 8.1 Windows as OS on my Toshiba Satellite C50 B919 and I downloaded the drivers several times on your site and it did not work.

How can I solve this problem? I can t connect my laptop to an external display.

    Hi André

As I see that you bought for laptop computer without an operating system preinstalled. I ve checked the download page of Toshiba for the Middle East, but, unfortunately the drivers are not available.

What you can try is to install the drivers offered on the European download page.
Here are few of them and you can try to install:
Intel displays the version of the driver 10.18.10.3408
Version of the display driver Intel 10.18.10.3412_4ID
Version of the display driver Intel 10.18.10.3345_4ID

Try to please and post comments.

  • Problem starting on several Satellite C50 - C70 models

The members of the forum and Toshiba, Hello

Recently, I sold several laptop Toshiba Satellite C50-70 and Satellite Pro series.

With most of them, I knew starting problems.
When turn on/off the laptop, I see the Toshiba Logo and then nothing happens.
I have to turn it on and turn it on again so he can start on Windows. (7 or 8.1)

Sometimes, I have to power OFF / ON several times.

What I see is that the NumLock light does nothing. If the system starts, I see this LED flashes on / off 2 times. So, I can see on forehand if the laptop to boot Windows or hangs at the Toshiba Logo.

    Anyone having the same problems?

I put t know if anyone has had this problem but I guess that if the books are new and covered under the Toshiba warranty, you must contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country to check the material part.

The Toshiba start screen freeze means that the POST (power on self-test) could not be transmitted correctly and it is especially a sign of hardware malfunction.

  • Touchpad on my Satellite C50-A-157 problem

Hi, I had some problems with the touchpad my * Toshiba Satellite C50-A-157 * portable.

I use windows 8, and I've had my laptop for a few weeks, but suddenly, all the vof
I can only use the touchpad and operate the cursor when I have one of the buttons of the mouse pressed.
I had to use the "Tab" key and the "arrows" to navigate through the menus and options.

The * F5 key does not work and I tried already to day/reinstall the device drivers. Troubleshooting does not seem to work either.

However, whenever I don't have the mouse button, and the sursor is not movning, when I move my finger up and down on the touch pad, it will sail through the vertical series of the closest options and the left edge of the screen.

For example, in windows 8 Start menu, the mouse will be immobile in the middle of the screen, but when I move my finger up and down on the mouse pad, seems to scroll the tiles on the left of the menu, highlighting each of them on the way upwards or downwards.

I realize that it is quite a long and boring post, so thanks for reading this day and any help/suggestions, you can give will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

It's really strange question. Try to roll back the OS to an earlier time before it started to happen just to see if problem will be solved. Post comments.

  • Satellite C50 - B - lines on the screen

    Hi all

My son has bought a Satellite C50-B-153 in December last year and used as a personal laptop. One morning last week, he went to use it and worsened the Toshiba start screen met with lines, lines and more white, and then it closes.

I tried all the 'F' with the option '0' options with no luck, read about the command causing problems so I connected an external rom to boot DVD and tried to load the recovery disc. I left him and went away for a short time, when I came back, I clicked the mouse button and the screen with the opening screen of windows, with lines session more and then and then it restarted again.

I checked the internal cables and the cables of the screen and they are all attached properly the only thing I did not just replace the CMOS battery but don't know if it would be useful or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated because he is lost without her, and so I don't like it with my computer laptop haha!

    Thanks in advance,
    Emma.

If the lines are visible all the time, you should check if they are visible on the external monitor or TV. If this is not the case, the problem is probably defective.

I reinstall my windows 8.1 which came preinstalled on my Toshiba laptop. It will ask you an activation code for windows after installation. My Windows 8 come pre-activated, and I can't find my activation code. You can get me my activation code.

Here is some information on my laptop:

    Satellite C50-A569

    Product code: PSCGNV - 00Y001AR

    Serial number: 2E161369S

She was purchased by the Qatar.

I hope you will reply quickly.

    Thank you.

    Hello

According to specifications specification , you got your laptop with the preinstalled version of Win8.1.
With other words, your laptop has been pre-installed with original recovery image designed for this model of laptop. Preinstalled recovery image should not be enabled.

Recovery image is also saved on the HARD drive and it is possible for you to create bootable recovery media (backup recovery) that you can use for the installation of original recovery image.
    > I'll reinstall my windows 8.1 which came preinstalled on my Toshiba laptop.
If I understand you right you try to use your laptop with the original recovery image again. Is this good?

I really don't know what's the problem here, but after the first start, connect your laptop to the Internet and complete the installation. Preinstalled Windows must be activated automatically.

  • On the new Satellite C50-A-19U battery problem

    Hello

A few days ago I bought a new notebook Satellite C50-A-19U.

Everything works without problems, except when I unplug the power cable, the battery level goes from 100% to 50% both.

If I try to charge the phone, battery load normally up to 50% and then spend 50% to 100%.

    Anyone facing this problem?

    Post edited by: tonybp

I don't really know what may be the problem here. Try to use the battery until it will be completely empty and let it be fully charged again.

Please watch carefully if the same happens again and send feedback.
