Two modes of action on a refurbished computer

I recently bought a used laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed x 64. This edition of Windows 7 has a COST attached to the computer and has been validated by Microsoft, when I started to use the computer.

There is another COST also connected to the same computer to Windows 7 x 64 Pro.

In other words, there are two modes of action.

I did the upgrade of Windows 10 and have a digital right under my Windows 7 Home Permium COA license. However, after upgrading to Windows 10, I found that a couple of my software programs refuse to run even if they ran fine on Windows 7.

Now my question. If I go back to my system to Windows 7, it is possible to use Windows 7 Pro as my operating system instead of Windows 7 Home Premium? ACO Pro is attached to my laptop and certainly is OEM. Refurbished machine would invalidate the OEM version or would it always activate as authentic if I reinstall Windows 7 Pro?

Any thoughts? Thank you.

Yes, you can use Windows 7 Professional if you wish, but you will need to get the Professional Windows 7 installation media to install this edition specifically.

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

    Hi everyone, now I use labview7.1, I want to install the labview8.5, y at - it a problem if two edition of lebview installed in a computer? Thank you.

    No, there should be no problem. I still have several versions of LabVIEW installed (currently 8.0, 8.2, 8.5, 8.6).

    You should make sure you keep the screws sperate and keep backups, because once you save something to 8.5 you can open it is no longer in 7.1.

    (Things can be a little more complicated if you have boxes to tools, addons, tips of third party drivers, etc but I have no experience with it).

  • Whenever I start my computer, I get the blue screen of death. I'm not getting in what concerns the opening of session and there is no prompt to start in safe mode. Whenever I start my computer the error code and message on blue screen are different.

    I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I was on the internet when my computer screen turned blue and a message told me that a problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down. He said that I had tried to do something with memory executable not executable (I don't have a note of the code). He said as he poured out memory. Now, whenever I start, the blue screen of death gives me different messages and different error codes. Today, he says:

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    and codes of error STOP: 0x0000000A (0x0000001B, 0 x 00000600, 0x810A90B0, 0x00000001).

    PC World say that they need to reinstall Windows, but I have some really really important files on there that I have not supported (I know, really stupid on my part) and they said they cannot guarantee their recovery. Is there another way to fix it?

    I've been on the forums and suggestions involve me to be able to connect to my computer. Blue screen hits me before I can log on, and there is no prompt to start in safe mode.

    Thank you very much!

    Try this to save your data:

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
    When I go to start the Service for Windows drivers Foundation I get the following error message, cannot start service window drivers Foundation-User-Mode Driver Framework on local computer, error 31: a device attached to the system is not functioning
    I was not able to find an answer in help
    Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you can disable the WDF Service.  It will be one less point to start your system and will not not just sitting there working day and night with nothing to do.
    On some systems, if WDF is activated, you can begin to see some errors of svchost.exe like this:
    Application error: the instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". Memory could not be "written".
    The best solution for this problem is: disable the WDF Service.
  • Password administrator for a refurbished computer?
    Hello. I have the problem of installing Windows XP on a computer refurbished, a Dell GX620.  The hard drive crashed, I installed a new and used the cd that came with the computer, (which says "for PC released nine). When the computer has re-boot it askes an administrator password, but I did not enter a password during the installation.  So I tried to connect with a blank password, but I get a message that the system is unable to connect because it cannot find the domain. Help, please.
    Since it is stuck to the Dell screen, that is before Windows starts.  So not a Windows problem.
    Probably, this is due to a bad configuration in the BIOS settings.  Try to hit the settings BIOS key as it starts up and check the BIOS settings.
    This can also occur if the motherboard battery is weak or dead.  This will cause the BIOS settings do not remember if you turn off your computer.  It will be usually also cause the date and time on your computer to take into account either the date and time you last stop or go back 20 years or more.
