• File save/open Photoshop CS6 problem

  A couple of weeks ago, I had a completely new hard drive put in my Mac laptop (mid-2012, 13 inches, El Capitan 10.11.5 running). I opened my CS6 today and found that when I tried to open or save files I'm done with this screen appearance.

  Hi all. I just got a new Toshiba laptop with Win 8. I'm having some trouble taking screenshots. It seems that the keys are not the standard ones to win 8. Here's what I know:

  . Print screen alone does nothing.

  Win + print screen does nothing.

  FN + print screen copies the screen shot, just as I expected print screen only.

  FN + alt + PRTSCN copies and saves the screenshot.

  Now, here's the interesting part. If I pull up the keypad, standard shortcuts work.

  What happens here? This is important because I have a fracture of the hand and it is difficult to have to use both hands to do this because the buttons are on the keyboard of the other. I take a lot of them because I'm copy of diagrams in a series of video conferences.

  I tried the remapping of shortcuts using autohotkeys but apparently the fn key remapping is impossible, according to their chat support. I tried just remapping using win + print screen and copy but doesn't save, which is a new combination.

I went to the Toshiba support community and there are, of course, people having the same problem, and the moderator there told people they should use the fn + print screen or just use the Snipping Tool. If you use Photoshop CC (2015.5) the entire screen (not only the Photoshop window) goes black for about half a second when any icon tool exceeding a certain size of pixel passes of the tool to the pointer icon icon or vice versa.

  This happens for example when the icon of the fate of the area of the image on the menus or the dashboard or window, or when it comes in and out of the right click menu change brush size.   If you copy the screenshot in a Word file, it will be the default page of the word file size. It will be in a smaller size to fit into the Word file.

  However, if you want to open the full-size screen capture, you can use Microsoft Paint on Windows application.

• Cannot save JPEG Photoshop CS5 in El Capitan

  I am running CS5 and have updated to El Capitan. Since the upgrade I can't save my photoshop to JPEG files. I get an error message, and the program will not let me continue. I can record in other formats of file without any problem. JPEG is the only one that seems to cause problems.

  Thank you. I am posting this in both places. I did check the mail recommended and found some helpful tips. I ran disk utility and then rebuild my preferences for photoshop (photoshop started all by pressing command + option + shift) and everything seems to work now. Thank you for your leadership.

  Apparently, something happened to severely corrupt my admin account last night. Do not know what it was, but using a new admin account, or restore the admin account from a backup cured this issue for me.

  Looks like you are trying to change the settings for an existing sequence; You can do that - or more precisely, you cannot change all the parameters that affect the reading and the scaling of a sequence.

  If you are only working with Canon 5 D footage, there is some sequence presets set up specifically for such images. When you create a new sequence, browse the categories of predefined settings in the left pane of the dialog box new sequence; you want the folder DSLR. Find the preset that matches the size and the framerate of your videos and create a new sequence to use.

  Another solution is to drag one of your clips for the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel - is the one who looks like a chipped sheet. First will create a new sequence of the corresponding properties of the element and insert this clip. From there, you can add multiple images.

  Don't worry too much on the choice of codec here. Select the preset to the proper order using the appropriate codec, and this choice dictates that the codec used to render the preview files if you have a portion of your order which will not playback in real time.

  Dig in the help documents for helping you roll; most of this is covered in some form or fashion there. Certainly, do not hesitate to ask questions, but the help documents should generally be the first reference to general operational issues.
