  I have been with LR since the beginning and have been entirely digital in my studio for 7 years. I use LR 2.3 with ACR 5.3, although our other workstations are always LR1.x/CS2...

  We have exported to JPEG at the long... but just at the moment where I improved my LR to ACR 5.3 2.3, something strange happened... CS2 can open and work on the exported JPEG files, but cannot save as no matter what anywhere... He always says "Cannot complete this action because of a program error.".

  CS4 has no problem with them whatsoever, opening, working and recording. And of the PSD and TIFF functioning perfectly normally. It's just jpegs that is not working properly.

  Help! I'm the only person in our system upgraded past LR 1.x/CS2. And in addition, producing files JPEG which cannot be saved in CS4 told me that there must be something wrong with the JPEG files that other programs could choke on.

  There is a bug with CS2/LR2 that will never get fixed as CS2 is no longer supported. Read here for solutions.

  Try a reset preference: Cmd + Opt + shift and you initiate the start of Photoshop. Select 'Yes' when asked if you want to move forward.

  I try to download a new trial version of PS CS5.1 on my iMac and get a warning screen that says "the following disk images could not be opened: Image/Photoshop_12_1_LS1.dmg, reason: incorrect checksum."  The installation program then gets stuck in extraction of the download.  Help?

  Where you chose to download the installation files too?  If it is still downloading the DMG file extraction is not finished, it's why you are facing this problem.  Once completed download Adobe Download Wizard will automatically launch the installation program to install Photoshop.  According to the location to save the download Adobe Download Assistant may have difficulties to save the installation files.

  Alternatively, you can also follow the instructions at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to download the installation files directly.

• Cannot save file Photoshop CC 2015 model

  I have an active subscription to Adobe creative suite 2015 and model of Adobe has just installed on my iphone. I also installed Photoshop CC (version 2015.1.2 on my Mac OS running. X version 10.10.5 Yosemite - and not the latest OS). I also installed creative cloud that seems to work fine (I checked the preferences of creative cloud and all is well. I am running version 3.7.0.272 and sync is on)

  My understanding is that I can start to create a design for the layout for an iphone application using Adobe application model, then continue working on Photoshop by transferring the file Photoshop CC 2015 through the creative cloud application.

  Everything seems to be installed and working fine. However, when I create a new project on my iphone using Adobe Comp and send it to Photoshop CC, the system said that the operation was successful. When I select creative cloud by clicking its icon in the menu bar of a Mac screen, then active, I have 2 choices:

  If I select "Show on the Web", I see it in the category "mobile creations.

  If I select 'Open folder' I don't see my folder.

  If I open photoshop (or keep it open when I try my iphone of CC file transfer with all that communicate over the same wireless network), I do not see this file. Moreover, I see libraries that I save on CC model of Adobe.

  Conversely, if I save a psd file on my 'Creative Cloud Files' folder, I see it when I click on creative brief Cloud/assets/Open, but I don't see it when I click on the cloud/resources / "view on the web.

  Of course, there is something I could be missing or do not understand.

  Perfect. What I was hoping. Logging in and out on the device and the office serves two purposes: it works as a 'reset' AND if there are inconsistencies with log-in, they surface during the process.

  After editing NEF raw file 8-bit channel in Elements 9 > open image > edit still > save as JPEG best > OK. So you end up with image file broken to the Organizer. Will record in PDF format. Edited JPEG saved. Previous files edited of NAVE (have saved in JPEG format) will not save to JPEG this time. MAC OS 10.6.8. I have to re-enstall? Scared of the thought of re organizing thousands of images even when the tag.

  Hitting the shift command option key when opening PSE on the shortcut icon on the dock of MAC did not work BUT tried the same procedure by opening the file paper applications PSE and hey presto the installer came. The problem is solved, thank you very much.

  I searched on the internet and a few pages I found looked a bit clear (at least to me) and were probably for circumvention of Yosemite with the command-line for adobe apps get up and running Java 8 rather than returning to a legacy run. Can someone point me to get detailed instructions on how I can do this?

• Error message "Cannot save preferences" CS5.

  I get a CS5 error message since I upgraded our Mac to El Capitan: "cannot save preferences because the file is locked or you don't have the necessary access privileges." Use the "Get Info" command in the Finder to unlock the file... "I just got the phone with Apple support person. We could not even find a log (PSErrorlog.txt) file in the hidden library or preference files locked. We reset privileges for all Adobe files to unlocked nothing doesn't.   You will need to give full read and write permissions in the following list of folders from Adobe:

  • Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe
  • Macintosh HD/users/user name/Library/Application Support / Adobe
  • : Macintosh HD/users/user/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings to name all of the permissions for this folder Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings

  * User library must be hidden by default, which can be activated by opening finder > click the menu go up and press on and hold the option key, which would highlight hidden library
