Screen stretching don't ignore on lower resolutions

When I lower the resolution of my laptop at anything below 1600 x 900, I get black bars that surround my screen.  Instead of him stretching from 1280 x 720 to fit my screen, I just get a screen of 1280 x 720 real in my screen.  This problem came from nowhere.  Earlier today, I had lowered my resolution, and it filled my screen as usual.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my display driver, which did nothing.

I thought about it.  It's one thing to ATI.  I went on the catalyst software, through the following menus:

Desktop and screens > my views integrated > properties

For some reason, focus was chosen.  I changed which in full screen and everything back to normal.  How this option has changed in the first place, I can't understand, but that's it.

  • Games running in lower resolution on the desktop resolution does not fill the screen

I have a laptop HP ENVY 17 TS with NVIDIA GT 740 M and Intel 4600HD graphics drivers and running Windows 7. Whenever I want to change the resolution in games at a lower resolution on the desktop resolution, the game shrinks to its view, leaving the couple of inches black bars on the edges. For example, if my the desktop resolution is 1920 x 1080 and I want to start a game in 1600 x 900, the game does not fill the screen, instead, it leaves an amount of empty space on the edges of the screen.

In order to solve this problem, I tried the following steps:

I first tried to locate the view tab in the NVIDIA Control Panel in order to define the scale/stretch in "Full screen", but my version of NVIDIA CP isn't the view tab (my NVIDIA drivers are the latest version).

Then I discovered that I should do this in the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. My Intel HD Graphics CP has an option named "Calibration" under display > display settings and it doesn't show the option to retain display scaling that is checked by default and does not change. Also, after searching the Internet I saw that some people suggested entering the 'advanced settings' and try to make changes. When I try to enter advanced settings, under view, it says 'this screen does not support advanced settings'.

After trying without success, I tried the update driver Intel via their website, hoping that it can fix the problem. I ran the small Intel application on their Web site that identifies my chipset and offers me the latest driver for this chipset. Web site told me that the driver is installed on my computer is 10.18.10.3304, and there is an update for what is 15.33.18.64.3496 (or 10.18.10.3496). So I downloaded the file, but when I tried to run, it gave me this error message: "the drivre being installed is not validated for this computer. You can get the correct driver from the manufacturer of the computer. Setup will now exit. "that makes no sense.

After trying the above steps, I'm not able to solve the problem, and I need help from someone who really knows how to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    Solution (I hope)

    1. choose the properties of the graphic (logo Intel) option when you right click on the desktop

    2. go in view

    3. go through the resolutions on the 'Resolution' and change to this resolution (do not click Apply)

    4. for everyone to go to 'Scaling' at the bottom of the screen and change it to scale full screen (do not click Apply)

    5. Repeat until you get back to the higher resolution (that won't let you change the scale).

    6. quickly choose a few resolutions from the drop-down menu to make sure that they have changed their scale.

I had a problem with some resoultions changing the way they were, but which should solve most of the problems.

  • HP Envy 15-j002ex: low resolution after I replaced my laptop screen

    Hello

the screen of my laptop has been malfuncation, so I had to replace it, I went to a service provider local hp official in Saudi Arabia, madinah.

they replaced my screen, but after they did I make a lower resolution, then I had.

    I used to have a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080, now I have the maximum is 1366 x 768

I went back to the store and they said that everything is fine with the screen and the screen even settle without difference and they almost called me a liar.

im going back to them with the mobile care http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03987278

and my broth has the same laptop with the higher resoultion ill show them

What im application, it's that you think could cause this problem? power cord screen placed in a wrong place?

    and thank you

    Hi @TeeShirtArtist,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question on your HP ENVY 15 - j002ex Notebook and questions with a new HD BrightView LED backlit (1920 x 1080) display panel with the lower resolution. I will try to update the graphics drivers.

Click the arrow next to display adapters to expand this category
Right click on graphic family and select Update driver software
Select search automatically for updated driver software.

The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

If that doesn't help, here is a link to change the resolution, you may need to select the Advanced setting to ensure that your driver is used.

I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.

A computer repair center should be able to fix this without any problem. The only thing might be if they have installed a bad Panel. The only way to know what are the Panel specifications, would be to get the part number of the new group.

I hope that it helps anything here.

    Thank you.

  • Half of my screen has low resolution and/or the contrast that the other half

    Greetings!

The left side of the screen on my laptop seems normal with a high resolution and brightness, while the right side of the screen seems darker as it has a higher contrast and is more degraded it has a lower resolution... it looks almost like a demo of tv showing the difference between the high and low definition.

Does anyone have an idea on how to get the screen of the same search on the screen?  The general change the appearance of the screen and return to an earlier date before that I messed up my computer did not work.

Could be a hardware failure on the laptop.

One thing to try as a test is to start from a 'live' as Ubuntu OS (for example), just start it DO NOT install it. See - http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/try-ubuntu-before-you-install - for more details. This should hopefully allow you to see if the screen works well or not in another OS, if it looks OK in Ubuntu, then its less likely to be a hardware problem. But if the screen is still divided, then unfortunately, it could be a hardware failure.

Other things to try eventually (in no particular order):

    1. set to update your graphics card drivers to the latest compatible drivers available for your laptop, where they have been corrupted somehow.

2 - is still divided into 'safe mode' or is it OK to whom?

    3. If you look in Device Manager, it shows errors regarding the graphics/display/monitor card?

    4. There is this fixit - http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Windows_Display_Quality_Diagnostics/ - in the center of MS fixit who can be worth it. But I doubt it.

    5. If this just started recently, try a restore point for just before it occurred.

Assuming that you have already tried to change the screen resolution and depth etc color settings and then restore the default values, you need.

  • Problems with low resolution games

    Hello, my name is GiZmO_themachineking.

I noticed that in Windows Vista (or maybe it's just my computer) that when I play a game with a lower resolution on my screen (1280 * 800), rather than the pixels 'stretch' to fill the screen, it is scaled down and centered in the Middle, with a black frame around it.

Of course, I can turn the resolution but my computer isn't very good and what makes the slow race game.

Anyone know how I can fix this error and force the pixels in a game to 'stretch' to fill the screen?

I think that on the only workaround for the problems of games would be to change the DPI for the fonts setting in your Control Panel/customization "fonts Size (DPI) adjustment." Mark L. Ferguson MS - MVP

  • Unable to set the display resolution, Intel HD 4600 in Device Manager displays ' generic non-pnp monitor low resolution.

I am slot as Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Intel 64 bit pc with a screen HD Dell I5 and Intel HD graphics 4600 driver.  PC woke up a few hours of inactivity, after no updates known to windows or other programs, with icons and pages double size beyond the limits of the monitor, setting the low resolution and Device Manager showing ' no generic pnp monitor low resolution ' instead of 'Monitor Dell HD' and no option to increase the resolution.  No help with reset, not restoration, disconnection and reconnection monitor auto plug n Play, 'Search new device', 'add a device', update of the graphics driver, reinstall the drivers from the Dell monitor.  Troubleshooting peripheral reported to date and working correctly.  After I finally uninstalled driver restarted, and graphic displays "default monitor" Device Manager (no longer "generic low resolution"), no graphics driver identified, but don't allow me to change to a higher resolution.  New windows had to be individually size / expanded to fill the screen.  This can be corrected?  I want to optimize my display settings for this monitor.  I have reinstall my graphics driver or just be happy that I can use my computer?  Thank you.

Call Dell.  Your monitor should have a 3-year warranty.  Your matching OptiPlex with a warranty of one year more.

Also, check all the hidden and invisible buttons on the monitor.  Someone may have inadvertently changed one of these.

  • computer returns to a lower resolution when I boot

Hi, I recently installed the graphics card Nvidia Geforce GT 610 in my HP computer and since then I had problems with the resolution of the screen. My computer has never had problems with a resolution before installing the graphics card. Whenever I start my computer, it comes down to a lower resolution and it corrects the resolution after that I restarted the computer. I have re-installed the graphics card driver, checked my BIOS and tried to look online for a solution.

My computer also now issues once I start it only happened once I installed the graphics card. Also, when I go to look at screen resolution settings in the Control Panel, the display of the "(Default Monitor) lists on" in the initial commissioning, the changes in the "HP 2009", which I assume is the correct setting after reboot. " I have no idea how to fix this and I don't know if this affects the functionality of my computer, but if anyone has any suggestions I would be very happy.

    * Edit: I did some digging around and I noticed that on initial start-up, my monitor is not detected by my computer. When the computer reboots, so, my screen in my devices and printers. I don't know if this is the problem, but no one knows why this happens and how I can fix this problem? Thank you.

Honestly, I have no idea what the problem is at this point. There is no indication that the graphics card is causing the problem, and the computer works normally too. NVIDIA customer support did not help at all either. Their suggestions actually caused my computer to freeze, but it was fixed with the Startup Repair tool. As I said but it's a cheap card, so when I can afford it, I'm probably going to upgrade to a new computer and card. Thanks for your help!

  • Photoshop UI loading low resolution on retina MBP

    Hi all

For the past few weeks (I don't remember exactly when it started, so I can't tell if an update has caused), the user interface of Photoshop CC 2015 has been low dpi on my 2015 13 "MacBook Pro of retina. This is the interface: frame text interface user and icons, buttons close/minimize/maximize on the application, start to load, all modal dialog boxes, etc. All loading low DPI, visibly pixelated on the screen high resolution.

There has been some updates since I first noticed the issue (and I'm perfectly up-to-date now), but none of them were fixed.

I tried to restart my Mac, dumping my preferences, uninstall extensions, disabling the GPU acceleration, toggling the display in the preferences system resolution (the problem persists on all modes of scaling, including mode 'more space', which maps the pixels of the interface device pixel 1:1) and finally, completely uninstall and reinstall the app CC Photoshop. None of my other CC apps share the question.

I have an Apple Thunderbolt external Display that I use sometimes. The problem persists with and without the connected display (and through the above troubleshooting steps with and without display).

I did troubleshooting above with the people of @AdobeCare on Twitter, and they asked that I post my case here.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

Oh dear.  It turned into a terrible mess of a thread with opinions and advice.    You do your layout with Word.  In my experience, Word is a nightmare when it comes to positioning many areas of text and images.

You shouldn't have changed the Word document in a JPG file, because the text all which perfectly progressive, which would be printed to "all" size without loss of image quality, then became an image file.  But if you "had" to make it a JPG, just about the worst possible way to do this is with the Snipping Tool, because the resulting image would have only the resolution of your computer screen.  Dows following?

How big are the pictures you used in Word?  They probably didn't need to be very large, because each image is only an impression at a relatively small size.

First thing to try is to open the Word Document and save in PDF format using the Standard option (after you select Save as PDF

It will keep the text in the form of scalable vector objects which allows printing at any size.  However, I don't have the knowledge of how Word uses images.  I just did a little test, and while I could zoom in to see in the text, I'm not sure that the same is true of the images.  Depends on word refers to the image of the player, or he brings as an object of frame size, and I suspect it's the latter.  You need to do some research on it, because it might make you save a lot of time.

You have Publisher?  Editor certainly reference the drive images, and friezer downsize to fit the page.  I suspect that you can import a Word into Publisher document, which would put you best part of the way with it.  I would like to test it, but I use it as a loyal user of Adobe InDesign.   If you are forced to restart, then editor or InDesign would be lot better, but it's doable with Photohop.  Just make sure that you start with enough pixels, which means 36 inches at 300 dpi or 10 000 square pixels.  When did save as PDF using the preset high quality printing, and ask your color printer (probably just use sRGB)

    Good luck

  • Flattening of transparency creates Images of low resolution

    Hi all!

I produce a lot of vector graphics in Illustrator that I then import into InDesign. Some of my work must be completed and must follow the standard PDFX-1a. Even with the flattening of transparencies put high-resolution, once that I run the file in Adobe Acrobat format for preflight, he'll go search for low resolution images, which are the result of flattening in InDesign. If I save the same image in Illustrator in a raster (say JPG) format he will stay at 300ppi, as flattening does nothing to the image.

Here is a screenshot showing you my settings for the flattening presets of high resolution, (which are by default).

    http://i.imgur.com/OlpQkmG.png

I really don't see where is the problem! Any ideas?

Can you independent on a single page and export it as flattened 300ppi ok?

As standalone, I have no problem.

Pages can have different transparency settings. Have you tried clicking ignore substitute in the advanced Panel?

  • Why my photos on apple tv 4 these are low resolution?

I have a new shiny AppleTV 4... You know, the one which is most recent available. I have lots of photos on iCloud through Photos. When I put the screensaver on the AppleTV for my photos, some of them come in very low resolution. I'd say about half of them are horrible quality. The thing is that all these photos are hi res on the Photos taken.

    So, what gives?

More... Why AppleTV always displays the same pictures over and over again? I have a bunch of pictures, but only about 100 came at a meeting of chill.

Just guessing, but some of your photos may be just too big. ATV must be reduced to fit the screen of the TV 1920 x 1080, and he can't do an elegant job of their shrinkage.

There seems to be several complaints about the number of photos seen by the Photos app looks like a work in progress.
