    If you have a router between your PC and a modem (cable modem, DSL) then I would start with bypassing the router and go directly to the modem.   If you can access the internet and everything works normally except for the online game then you may reset your router and then go through the implementation for all the appropriate ports necessary for your games.  It seems that if the right ports cannot be configured correctly. The error "suddenly come to an end" is usually caused by / symptom hat can be caused by the interference of an antivirus program. What antivirus do you use? Some of them are causing problems with Windows Mail over time. At a minimum, email, scanning in the antivirus must be turned off, although maybe it's not enough to eliminate all the bad effects. In the worst case scenario, your antivirus program may be uninstalled/reinstalled or replaced. A free antivirus that is 100% compatible is available here:

    One thing you should as a possible quick solution is to remove this corrupt email account restart Windows Mail, and then recreate this account.

  • HP Split x 2, can I play video games such as the sims 3 or world of warcraft?

    I recently bought this divided Hp x 2 for academic purposes, but my husband wanted to play world of Warcraft in my laptop. usually the screen feels so hot after that he played for at least 3 hours. I don't want him messing my laptop. Sometimes, the game freezes.

    I wanted to know if games like WOW or sims 3 can be played regularly in this type of laptop. I wanted to know if there is anyway I can upgrade this laptop to run to its full potential.

    Thank you!

    Hello mariegarrard,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    This computer is not designed to handle such heavy games such as WOW and Sims 3. Even if you were to spend a few thousand dollars and any compatible hardware upgrade, it still would not work properly.

    Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!

  • Need help, get permission to edit files. Windows 7 won't let me uninstall or patch my game world of warcraft.

    I have problems with obtaining of permission to change my files, in particular my games like world of warcraft since the upgrade to windows 7.  The game needs to be patched and for some reason, I was not allowed to delete/modify these files.  I tried to uninstall the game and reinstall, but windows will not yet give me permission to uninstall the game. says I need permission to another user. I am the Admin so I don't know what to do. Here are two mistakes that I see.

    The "Warcraft\Launcher.exe C:\Users\Public\Games\World" file could not be read. If the problem persists, you may be able to solve by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to solve this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (CompareVersion)

    you need permission to perform this action
    you need robby-PC/Robby permission to make changes to this file

    Well to be honest, it looks like somebody was playing with the security settings on the Public folder.  And that Robby is now the only one allowed the user to modify the file.

    I would say a click right on the issue of World of Warcraft or games, going to properties, then security, clicking on edit, then adding "everyone" user to it and him giving total control.  Make sure there is no box to Deny checked either to other users.

    Uninstalling it would be unnecessarily laborious given the amount of patches that you would then go and download it again. Paul Smith - MVP for Windows desktop experience... Borrow a Microsoft Vista DVD(not Dell, HP, etc Recovery DVDs) to do a repair installation

    If you see a startup Neosmart repair disk download here, this is NOT what you want.

    You want a good Vista DVD that contains the operating system files.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If you need a recovery media for your laptop back to factory settings, read this info:
    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.
    There is no Vista free download legal available.
    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Suggestions on laptops that will be take place for example online games. World of Warcraft

    Hello
    I thought about buying a new laptop and I have absolutely no idea of which to buy. I am wanting to buy a laptop that can run games like World of Warcraft and Battlefield 2 online.
    Gladly, I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions as to a good laptop that I could buy for less than £1000.

    The P300 seems to be really a nice laptop
    But there is different material specifications; for example, different processors, graphics cards, etc.

    But portable P300 series isn't bad and I'm sure that your games runs correctly.

    Good bye

  • World of Warcraft modules works only with Windows 7

    My computer is HP Pavilion and new. There is no windows 7 when I bought it and I just download windows 7. Prior to Windows 7, I downloaded the game had no problem. I look around for more information on how to solve the problem, I find that I am more confused. I talked to HP and they were no help and offered to pay one of their people to solve my problem, although I still have a 2-year warranty left. I find instructions provided in most of the cases are intended for people with great knowledge in computer science. Most of the people who hold them are not the well informed! I contacted Blizzard and they are not aware of any problems at the moment.

    On the game World of Warcraft, I can't use files Add on, after I downloaded windows 7 on my Vista 64 computer. I have another computer and addons are working very well. They appear to be locked or not accessible. How can I fix it.

    Hi Dennis424,

    Welcome to the Microsoft answers site.

    ·         What happens when you try to use the add-on?

    This could be a problem if the corrupt modules are installed on the computer, I suggest you uninstall the Add-ons on the computer and reinstall the Add-ons and check.

    If the problem persists, then I suggest that you uninstall the game World of Warcraft and perform the new installation of the game and check.

    Hi I have a problem when I go in the world of warcraft after 30 seconds later, I get disconnected not only Wow, but on the internet and I can't understand why does. So what I did was to look on the fourms to warcraft and couldn't find a solution to my problem, so I tried to combine my local connection and my wireless connection make jumper but I get a message saying "an unexpected error occurred while configuring the network bridge." I use a wireless router but I do not have a cause of Wired internet cables will not reach my room. the router I use is NEXT Max range model Netgear Wireless-N Router WNR834B v2 and the usb adapter that I use for this router is brought Max NEXT Wireless USB Adapter WN121T. I recently received this new hp computer which has windows 7 64-bit on it and I really want to play because of wow I just put a sheet in): anyway hope to hear from someone

    Sounds like it might be related to the same problem I have, the two thing I did her seemed to help was to disable ipv6 (click the icon at the bottom right of your screen network, click on "Network and sharing Center", then click on LAN or wireless network, you must do two of them IMO.  Once you have done this, click 'Properties', then click to clear the check in the box for "Internet Protocol version 6" and then select "internet protocol version 4", and click Properties. "  Then click on the button "Advanced".  Once you have done that click on the tab "wins" and below, it will be 'net bios settings' and click on one to disable.

  • World of Warcraft play do well with Windows 7?

    Hi, I had problems with lag with World of Warcraft since the upgrade to win7 about two weeks ago. My latency time increased from 180-250 to 350-700 normal. I tried the registry TcpAckFrequency and TCPNoDelay changes, compatibility modes, hardware acceleration and messing around with on anything ending with Checksum in the properties of the device (in accordance with a recommendation on the EU WoW forum), and I have not seen any improvements at all. I know this isn't my ISP, because I had to move last week and am in a different field, but with the same ISP. It seems to be just a game, that I've had no problems with Counterstrike or Team Fortress 2. Is there something I can do another that grit my teeth and deal with it? I have no other options for an ISP here in the Bush, and I'm not ready to downgrade to XP just to do this, even though I'm a bit addicted to it.

    Here's a DxDiag to my computer, I forgot to post last night.

    m6514309,
    Given that this only happens with WoW, then perhaps Blizzard might have other ideas.  For now try another NETWORK card is the only thing left to try.  If it affected all use online then consider to reinstall Windows, but I doubt that this would be useful in this situation.  If I come across anything else I'll post back.

    I tried to install World of Warcraft on Windows 7 Ultimate. When I put in the CD of the Lich King, it comes up saying, download new installer. I got there at night thinking it would end download. Well, I have nothing. A few times it will freeze and even the CD Burning Crusade will do the same. The CD only I could install is World of Warcraft CD.

    Has anyone else been able to install WOW or been able to play the game under windows 7 versions? Is it because of no service pack yet? Anyone has any ideas or information about why the game could have these problems? I would really appreciate it. I love Windows 7 and really don't want to go back and remove the hard drive from my XP.

    Here is the link of the compatibility of Windows 7 which provides information about the versions of World of Warcraft that are compatible with Windows 7.
