Screw loose on Satellite P50W

Hello

I recently purchased a P50W (4 weeks ago) and found a screw had fallen and some other screws on the bottom of the unit have become loose, has anyone found they had this problem?

I just shook them for now, but I'm intrigued to see if it is normal that I take my camera to work and back every day and use it anywhere in the Home Office/bed and the living room.

I think you're the first person who has reported on this. I hope that some other owners P50W will post experiences with this model of laptop.

Anyway, if you notice a few similar or any other problems I recommend to contact the closest service Toshiba and ask for help or advice. I hope they can help you with this and you lack live give.

Usually if the screws are fixed properly it must avoid any problems in the future. I had several laptops in the last 15 years and I've never noticed anything like that.

I have a C50t-A-10J. Within 4 months from first use hinges fixing screws loose and three is out.
First of all, I noticed this separation autour hinges at startup box.
I went back to John Lewis, who arranges for a fix, but less than a week to one of the bindings loosened again.

Looking more closely this laptop I noticed that the hinges are quite steep and the flexible housing.
This looks a bit on the fragile for a laptop.

I'm now questioning whether or not it is human enough?
I would be interested to hear from anyone with similar experience.

    Thank you in advance.

In my opinion you should go back to the dealer or should contact the Toshiba service to find solution to this problem.

I mean it is a hardware problem and before you try to fix it by using some bad motivated method, I recommend you to ask some experts to fix under warranty conditions.

  • Loose on Satellite P100-240 DC-In Jack

I just noticed that my new Toshiba P100-240 laptoop has quite a 'loose' DC in socket - is not to lose in making decision, but the actual shooting itself.

While she viewed etc and I don't miss the power or anything, I was wondering if this is normal, or if the plug must be rigid without movement.

P100-240 users can let me know if their is the same?

    Hello

I put t know if this appears on another unit P100, but something similar happens on my laptop's brother.
The power jack on the laptop was lost.
It was a new laptop so I was recommended to contact the service.
The technician said that the screw is just a little loose and therefore the vacillee DC Jack.

Possibly it of identical on your laptop, but I think that it s not terrible.

  • Cover loose on Satellite P100 series

The lid of my laptop now only stand in a completely vertical position. Point left seems to be very loose and I was wondering if maybe a few screws can be tightened upward if the small plastic hinge comes off somehow. I really don't want to have to send it off to be repaired if its something easily fixed. I was able to undo the hinge cover where it attaches to the main body of the laptop, but even with both sides, I can't completely remove to access the fixing points. Some tips on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Andrea

I guess you don t want to send laptop to fix, but please don t do anything on your own. The machine is new with valid warranty. If you try to do something alone and make a mistake, the warranty will be voided.

Please contact the Toshiba service authorized in your country. Talk with them and you will see how much time they need to check and correct this.

  • Screw stripped - Toshiba Satellite click Mini L9W - B

Just noticed that the Mini replacement click on I received from Amazon has stripped the screw on the keyboard dock. I wondered why there were two joints of Toshiba, looks like it is opened at the factory (perhaps in conjunction with the battery problems with this model) and they used the screwdriver to the right size. Is anyone from Toshiba can confirm that my unit is still covered by the warranty? Otherwise it will go back to Amazon... again...

Problem is that no one at Toshiba will confirm anything. This is a user forum only.
If you have a camera in box original and discovered that something can be change my advice is to send the machine back.

Buy products in original box only.

Sorry, but that's all that I can say about it.

  • Plug loose in Satellite Pro L300

    Satellite Pro L300.
The power supply plug "toggle" in this position.
It does not take much more.

Computer never abused. My use only. 2.5 years. 5th PC toshiba laptop.
Could not find anything to let me know how difficult a fix that would be.

Sometimes, it does not record as being "plugged in" and back to the battery.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Generally, it depends on the type of motherboard.
In most cases, the power supply is a part of the card mother and soldered on the motherboard.
But I've seen many boards of directors where the power plug was diving, can be deleted.

However, the problem is that the portable whole you must remove to access the motherboard and in the seizure of power, and it's really delicate and crazy, hard work.

I think that except the small problem with the power supply plug, the laptop is ok and I think you should ask a technician for laptop in order to solve this problem
I don t recommend disassemble the laptop to hand clean because it s not worth risking damage to the motherboard, you know
I have to pay a small fee to get the laptop repaired...

    Hello world

about half a year (2009-09-03), I bought a cell phone game X 300 - 15R QOSMIO. Since the time of fisrt I started the laptop, he started making strange noises, as if something was loose inside its hull. He also shakes quite bad every now and then when I try to install a game in the DVD drive. A could not send it because I had to keep to work with. Now, my work is over a bit and I am determined to solve this problem! If anyone has had a similar problem, and if you did, how fix it.

(EDIT: a little more information on the real problem; this happens at times random compeltely, but as soon as I put pressure on the shell under the keyboard, it will stop.) And when I let go, it starts again. What helps is also lifting up and duck, but it works for about 10 seconds and then the noise just started again. It starts to become very frustrating, I hope someone has a tip)

    Thanks for your precious time!

    Hey Kevin,

I think it's really hard to say what is the cause because I can't hear the exact sound you mean. Theoretically, it might be a problem with the HARD drive or there is a screw loose inside this laptop.

Normally it shouldn't t arrive and I recommend you contact an authorized service provider. Technicians can check your laptop and fix it for you. I guess that it of still under warranty, the repair should be free.

Here, you can search for a service provider authorized in your country:

So I had to refresh Windows to operate.
I still have some idea what went wrong. Windows startup repair does not and not more than the restoration of the system.

Most of my data is intact, however I lost some of my college work.

Hope this has been a thing of the time.

  • Pavilion dv7t hinge

The laptop still works ok internally, but I am concerned about the left hinge.  When the top is moved to close, the left corner of the body near the hinge cover lifts.  I don't know how long the cover work at all or if some internal components could be damaged.  Is this a known issue with this laptop. What is the recommended action?  Thank you.

Whups!  After reading a few similar posts and consult the documentation of repair, I discovered that I had a screw loose.  Screw the angle separating himself had worked enough to be a problem.  If it does again, I'll try a little drop of Loktite.

  • CANON 70 D HAS NO POWER USING THE ADAPTER SECTOR OR 2 DIFFERENT BATTERIES

I WAS USING THE CAMERA THE DAY BEFORE, I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA IN DECEMBER 2013. I USED THIS CAMERA VERY SLIGHTLY.

TODAY, I WENT TO DOWNLOAD VIDEO FROM THE CAMERA TO CHANGE IT, BUT THE CAMERA WOULD NOT TURN USING THE A/C ADAPTER. I KNEW THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE ADAPTER, BUT I PUT IN 2 DIFFERENT BATTERIES AFTER CHARING, THEM AND STILL NO POWER.

I HAVE REPEATED TO TRY THE A/C ADAPTER AND BATTERIES. I TRIED TO TAKE THE CARD, THE LENS AND MAKING SURE THAT THERE NOTHING PREVENTS THE CONTACTS FOR THE A/C OR BATTERY.

I STARTED SEARCHING ONLINE OF THE KNOWN FOR THE CANON 70 D ISSUES, I DIDN'T KNOW ANY SPECIFIC 70 D BUT I FOUND A FEW ISSUES FOR OTHER CAMERAS OF CANON WITH THE SAME QUESTION.

SOME WERE TOLD TO TAKE THE CARD AND THE LENS AND REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER GOAL, THEN PLACE THE CARD BACK, AND THEN ADD THE BATTERIES AND THAT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. IT DOES NOT WORK. ANOTHER VIDEO THAT I FOUND SAID THAT THERE WAS A SCREW LOOSE ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD PRINTED FOR THIS OLDER CANON CAMERA... HIS SCREWS SEEMED TO BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE SCREWS THAT THE 70 D A SO IT WILL BE VERY HARD FOR ME TO FIND A SCREW DRIVER THAT SMALL... I HAVE TO GO BUY A KIT. BUT NOT RADIO IM LOOKING AT THE BOTTOM OF MY CAMERA IF TAKE APART WILL WORK, IT SEEMS THAT MY CAMERA BODY COMES OFF AS NOT EASILY THAN VIDEO.

SO NOW IM STUCK WITH MANY PROJECTS VIDEO IM IN THE MIDDLE OF... BUT NOW I DON'T HAVE A CAMERA... I CAN'T AFFORD TO DO REPAIR, AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY JUST ANOTHER CAMERA AND I'M NOT SURE IF THIS UNIT IS UNDER WARRANTY FROM CANON. I BOUGHT AT B & H PHOTO AND I STILL HAVE THE RECEIPT OF E-MAIL FROM THE PURCHASE.

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=FYlNyZ1IP3s

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITHT THE CANON 70 D?

AFTER VIEWING THE VIDEO SHOWING THE SCREW CAME OUT ON THE MOTHERBOARD OF THE PC, NOW I SHAKE MY CAMERA, I THINK I CAN HEAR SOMETHING MOVING INSIDE... BUT IT COULD BE MY IMAGINATION. I'M NOT 100% SURE, I HEAR SOMETHING LOOSE. IT REALLY SUCKS BECAUSE I CAN'T COMPLETE MY PROJECTS AND I'VE FITTED THE CASE OF MONEY THE NEW LENS CAMERA AND PURCHASE HAS RECENTLY...

IF YOU CAN NOT SAY THAT IT IS THE BATTERIES BECAUSE IM ALSO USING AN A/C ADAPTER. I KNOW HOW TO TURN ON THE CAMERA! IM GETTING NOTHING. NO POWER,

    I NEED HELP.

    I CORRECTED MY OWN QUESTION.

WHAT WOULD HAVE COST ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS BY SENDING IT TO CANON, I MANAGED TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND PERHAPS OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY MAY HAVE SPENT MONEY UNNECESSARY. I SPENT ONLY $6 AND A FEW CHANGES... ALLOWS CALL HIM $7 TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

I DON'T HAVE TO DISASSEMBLE THE APPLIANCE BUT AS HE TRIED TO DO, I SAW SOMETHING THAT I SUSPECTED WAS THE QUESTION. I PLAYED A BIT WITH THIS SWITCH OR SOME TYPE OF CENSORSHIP OR LOCK.

SOMETHING LIKE THIS WAS SO SIMPLE TO SOLVE, BUT COULD HAVE COST ALLOT ME OF MONEY. THE PART IS TOO DELICATE. NOW THAT I'M AWARE OF THIS, I CAN BE MORE CAREFUL, BECAUSE I WAS ALREADY VERY CAREFUL WITH ALL MY CANON... BUT IT WAS SOMETHING I WOULD HAVE NEVER EXPECTED THAT IS THE PROBLEM, I SAW THAT HOLE SOONER BUT NA NOT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS FOR... WHILE I WAS GETTING READY TO TAKE OFF THE BATTERY COVER, I NOTICED SHE HAD A TYPE OF CONNECTOR THAT WOULD GO IN THE HOLE (SQUARE) SO I SIMPLY PUT A PEN IN THE HOLE AND THERE IS A SWITCH OR SOMETHING, I PUT THE SWITCH IN THE CENTER. I PUT THE BATTERY IN THE CAMERA, AND THEN HE CAME.

  • Computer crashes; I kill my motherboard?

Motherboard: MSI 7778 Jasmine, supports the APU AMD series officially the Trinity APUs.
    Computer: HP Pavilion P6 - http:// 2327c

I was upgrading my APU of the A8-5500 (originally from the A6 - 5400 k) to the A8-6500. (Yes, I know that the Richland series is not OFFICIALLY taken in charge, naked with me).

Everything was on, but I heard the CPU fan grind a little, so I opened to tighten a screw loose. He had a screw loose and I shook it, BUT for some reason, I went to remove the fan and remove the old thermal paste off the coast of the APU and the heat sink & fan. I have been using a Solution of isopropyl 50% 50% water.

When apply the thermal paste and being the fool that I am, the APU was not mounted in the motherboard, but I had him sitting on the side panel that came out my case; Thus, while lifting the APU out of the side panel to the motherboard, my fingers in contact with the dough baths (thermal DYNEX silver paste http://... I picked it up at a local Best Buy) and some of them somehow got on the bottom of the APU. I went to climb the APU and the heat sink & fan. I plugged in the computer.

Start the computer, but it froze after the HP Logo. I could hear the computer do a click on... Click on... CLICCCCK, click on... Click on... CLICCCCK sound. I opened the computer once again, I found some of the thermal paste on the motherboard itself around the Assembly of the CPU, so I who cleaned with the solution 50-50. I also removed the APU and, with a needle soaked in the solution, I started to clear the pins; I got most of it.

Same thing happened when I turned on the computer. The computer froze after the HP Logo and I got the click on... Click on... CLICCCK... Once again, open the computer and pulled the A8-6500 and I inserted the A8-5500. SAME THING. I came from research:

1A obtained 90% isopropyl alcohol and re-cleaned everything.
    2 bought Arctic MX-2.
3 cleared the CMOS memory on the motherboard.
4 possible purchase of a new card of mother Socket FM2: http://

I think that both the A8-5500 and 6500 got short-out, and maybe my motherboard has been damaged.

    Any thoughts?

If you have done this, you must have facepalmed along the journey.

    Mclightning88, welcome to the forum.

Get money composed based on the socket can certainly be a fatal error.  However, you can get a couple of smaller brushes that you can buy at a hobby shop.  Use them to try to remove him remains composed of alcohol intake.  Mark cotton pads q - Tip allows to absorb alcohol taking.  You must be extremely careful.  At this point, you have not much to very loose and everything to gain.

Fortunately, I've never had to use this method, but I heard that this can work.

    The best of luck!

  • DV8T-1000 gel

    Hi all

I have a Win7x64 DV8 running.  About a week ago, the computer started randomly freezing times-sometimes it will not start at all, others I can run an hour before freezing occurs.  I tried the system restore, but did not have a restore which has been more than a few days, try checking the drive and utility verification of memory in the Bios, but also roll back the display by any chance driver which was my problem. I also uninstalled the last few more recently installed programs and conducted an analysis of virus - or as much as I could before it would freeze.  There was also a strange behavior that sometimes the computer power for a second and quickly closed, repeat it again and again until I have remove the battery or move the laptop.

I was a victim of the capacitive touch button wireless well-documented randomly switched off and back again with the controls bass/treble.  This has been corrected a little more than a year before, but I've always had very few recurrences of the problem. I doubt it's related, however.

I just opened the laptop and added more Ribbon to found the ribbon cable for the buttons above the keyboard touch and watched for any obvious mechanical problems.  Other that a bunch of screws very loose and very loose, maybe broken DC power looked OK to my untrained eye.  I ordered a new DC jack in case this could be the problem (could it be?). Before I've tightened it, the keyboard, half of the laptop was fragile and would have "couple" as you moved it.  It sometimes turns without touching the power thus button. Clamping of things seems who have yet been established.

I guess my only other options would be to clean or replace the hard drive, which for me is a last resort.  I don't want to keep throwing money at this thing if I'm not sure what's going to fix it.  I'm pretty disappointed with HP.  I bought 2 notebooks in the recent years and have had significant problems with both.

Any suggestions? Sorry for the lengthy post, just want to ask all

    Thank you

    Mark

I think I have solved the problem!

I disassembled it down to the motherboard. Found a screw loose in the fan, do not know if that was it, however.  I could have fallen in there, but I remember hearing a groan muffled, whenever I moved the computer. Given the history of loose screws, I would not be surprised if one wandered into the fan.

While everything was outside, I PLOPPED some thermal paste on the processor and graphics chip. I had the laptop running a bit of a load and the fan does its thing, before him, but perhaps a little "anemic."  I did have this time to a run-time because the problem started, so I'll tell you that this is resolved!

Thank you very much UNIPROG + for the tips!

  • Useful tips, installing drivers

    Hi there everyone.

I just bought a new R60 laptop to replace my dell burst up to ten year. It came with a Vista scam rubbish, so I tried to reinstall XP Pro on it like its kosher and less hungry and I know well.

Problem is that my R60 came without any support, so installing drivers is my biggest obstacle. I had a good old look through the forum and I found, downloaded on my old PC and installed the drivers concerned on the R60.

They are not [excuse my newbness almost] seem to auto install, so depending on the IBM/Leveno site installation instructions, is what has really confused me.

As I see I need to navigate

Start > all programs > Accessories > run

and all I can do is to go as far as

Start > all programs > Accessories

Through the race of early results in a file, or open the Notepad file not found error.

What I really need to do is install driver ethernet and/or driver chipset and so go systemupdate.

Just to say once again, how the beep actually activate you the drivers once you install on the hard disk.

[I assume it will solve several "unknown devices" listed in System Properties].

Any help gratefully received. Will be.

    R60, 2 x T2300, 1 gig of RAM, 40 GB HD, XP Pro, 9459-AK2.

Finally thank you operational. I knew I had to have a screw loose not not out! For some reason, not all the material would recognize or accept drivers lenovo so I had to find and install drivers intel, etc and now only left with bluetooth and card reader to sort.
