Scrolling Developer SQL question - Code Editor - under Windows 7

Hi all

I have an annoying scrolling problem in Developer SQL (version 4.0.2.15 Build 15.21) in Windows 7.

My queries/text in the code editor each time grow beyond the limit of the screen, and I have to scroll or use Ctrl + end it directly redirects me to the top.

I tried to add noddraw configuration in my conf file, but this does not solve the problem. Since I am trying to write a package that becomes really impractical...

Any suggestions?

My JDK version: 1.7.0_60

'Resolved' by installing an old version.

I use 64-bit SQL Developer 4.0.3 with the JDK included on Windows 7. When you change the body to a package, SQL Developer stops responding and I have to end task. I tried to rename the APPDATA folder, so it will create a new and not import my settings (only copied connections.xml), but that did not help. Version 3.2 works fine, but all 4.x versions, that I tried to do the same thing.

    Help, please.

    Signed,

    Stuck in 3.2

Developer SQL 4.0.3 freezes often irreparably

Try the production version 4.1 when it comes out.  Article 4.1 of the last is ai2 (Early adopter 2), but some corrections of editor-in-Chief of the JDeveloper team don't have become available until after this release.  We get close to having a RC1 (release candidate 1) and hope that the type of blocking you encounter will be finally fixed. Another recommendation is to disable see breadcrumbs in Tools > Preferences > code editor > display.  Who can help in some cases.

  • Developer SQL 4.1.2 uses Windows authentication to connect to SQL Server

I'm using SQL Developer 4.1.2 and tries to connect to SQL Server through Windows authentication.  If I use SQL Server authentication, everything works so the jTDS driver appears to be installed and working properly (I use jTDS 1.2).  When I switch to Windows authentication, I get the error

Status: Failure-Test failed: IO error: failure of the SSO: library Native SSPI has not loaded. Check the system java.library.path property.

Of course, I googled the error and came up with dozens of people asking the same question and is told to move the ntlmauth.dll from the \SSO directory to the jTDS directory in various other directories.  That seems to work for others so for the last few hours, I was copying the DLL in each directory that I can find someone on the internet suggesting without success (I do restart SQL Developer each time).  In the Directory SQL Developer, I tried

    Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper

    Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin

    Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\jdk\jre\bin

On the off chance that something was still making reference to a directory of a SQL Developer previous install, I put it in the same directories in the front THAT SQL Developer installed on this machine.  On the theory that she was using the FMV of the machine rather than that I downloaded and installed with SQL Developer, I advanced and dropped the DLL in the directory \bin for each installation of Java, that I could find on the system.

    c:\Program Files\Java\jrd1.8.0_45\bin

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_45\bin

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_60\bin

Still no luck.  SQL Developer, I went to help. Everything | Properties and checked that the first way to java.library.path is what I expected and where I dropped the ntlmauth.dll first.  I even put it in c:\windows and c:\windows\system32 just to be sure.

    Java.Library.PathC:\Oracle SQL Developer 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin. C:\WINDOWS\Sun\Java\bin; C:\Windows\System32; C:\WINDOWS;

Despite the DLL just about everywhere that I guess I would need to have it, I still get the same error.  I must be missing something obvious.  But at this point I was looking at it so long that I just can't see it.

I use SQL Developer 4.1.2 and tries to connect to SQL Server through Windows authentication using jTDS 1.2

Not sure if this has anything to do with your problem, but according to jTDS - SQL Server and Sybase JDBC driver / newsand since SQL Developer 4.1.x requires Java 8, '' you should stick only to jTDS 1.2 If you need to use a version of Java before Java 7 '' . Perhaps using a version 1.3.x jTDS driver might help.

  • Developer SQL does not not under win 8.1.1

Hi, I do not know if I am in the right section, sorry if not.

I have problem with Oracle SQL developer 4.0.1.14.48 (also SQL developer Data Modeler), which does not load under win 8.1 update 1 (fully implemented win8 to date).

I get only start screen with about 1 cm bar loading with the message "loading", after seconds, start screen turn off and nothing else happens. There are no related processes in the Manager of tasks, no error message, nothing. My friend has the same problem. Both PC's are laptops.

    Pls help.

I just noticed new version has been published, (4.0.2.15.21) and his work with my windows 8.1.1

    Hello

I have the following problem with my new sony a7rii raw files:

I can import them into LR, but when I load them to the module to the point, it shows a complete strange picture. It's the same thing in PS ACR.

    There's no problem on Mac.

In addition, it is no problem to develop files with the latest version of Capture One on Windows.

No work configuration is windows 7, 64 bit, SP 1. LR is CC/6.2, just updated to date. All German versions.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance

Change the version of Camera Raw has no impact on your problem "he shows a strange complete picture." It's a waste of time.

Turning off graphics acceleration, as mentioned previously, is the most likely answer.

  • Buffer SQL commands (get, run, save, etc.) in Developer SQL does not?

    I am a developer SQL 3.1.07.42 Windows 7 64 bit with java 1.7

    I have c:\test.sql that contains
    PROMPT Working
    and c:\testscript.sql that contains
    set echo on
    set serveroutput on
    /
    GET c:\test.sql
    SAVE c:\test_working.sql
    LIST 1 LAST
    RUN
If I open a new worksheet and type:
    @\testscript.sql
    then press F5, I get:
    @\testscript.sql
    set serveroutput on
    /
    GET c:\test.sql
    SAVE c:\test_working.sql
    LIST 1 LAST
    RUN
If the c:\test_working.sql is not created and the content of the script is not executed.

What I am actually trying to do here (and maybe you guys have a better idea) is to capture the output of the sql command that appears on the client, send it to the server, treat it somehow and then do everything with her (she log in my case).

For example (a very simple example from my scripts).
    spool c:\temporary.tmp
    create table test();
    spool off;

    get c:\temporary.tmp
0 begin insert into logtable (msg) (trim('
    100 ')); end;

    save logit.sql

    @'logit.sql'
the idea is to be able to save the output of any control block / anonymous plsql in a way that can be sent to the server for processing (this is for most mistakes, of course).
I can intercept DBMS_OUTPUT turning SERVEROUTPUT then a DBMS_OUTPUT. ACTIVATE and finally using DBMS_OUTPUT. GET all the lines and the process/log them, but I have not found a way yet to catch the rest of the "TERMOUT' of treatment other than the queue, but even then, I couldn't find a way to get the local file (content) on the server; and this idea GET/SAVE/RUN appeared to be feasible but its does not work (I even tried interactively, but maybe I'm doing something wrong).

Any ideas/suggestions on the topic are welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hello

According to the 3.1.04.72 SQL Developer documentation, the "get" command (among others) is not supported:
Help | Table of contents | SQL Developer concepts and use. With the help of the SQL worksheet | SQL * more supported and unsupported statement...

If the options are limited. If sqlplus is available and use it as an "external" tool will not conflict entirely with local policy, these links may interest you:

  • Developer SQL 4.1.2.20 Build HAND-20, 64: cannot drag-and - drop in editor files include "#" in the name or the path

Developer SQL 4.1.2.20 Build HAND-20, 64: I am not able to drag-and - drop a file from Windows Explorer into the SQL Developer Editor window if the name of the file or the path includes sharp «#» Unfortunately, my main directory structure contains a ' # ' in one parent folder names and I use drag-and - drop all the time... it is, I used to. :-)

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with Service Pack 1

It wasn't a problem in the previous version of SQL Developer 4.1.1.19 build HAND - 19.59.

Thanks to study deeply and providing a repeatable test. It is a very strange edge cases.  Particularly interesting is...

This same issue exists for JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 12.2.1.0.0

After my tests in SQL Developer 4.1.2 the question seems to be, that say you, trying to open any file (I tried sql, xml, and pkb types) by drag-and - drop from Explorer Windows to a publisher of target opened on a XML file with a symbol of hash somewhere in the specification of the file it is.

First of all, as a solution, I thought that I could recommend that you drag-and - drop since our view > files browser rather than Windows Explorer.  Which avoids the question and even you will descend on the Start Page tab, any worksheet or another editor must be opened before hand. However, there is a completely different problem with that: try to close the last tab of the XML Editor open blocking the entirety of the product.

As you do not declare it against a release of the Early Adopter, where our team connect the bug, the standard procedure is so that you can open a service request with the support of the Oracle. My research did not turn any latest bug as this connected against SQL Developer or JDeveloper.

Edit: In fact, just double click instead of using drag-and - drop from view > files avoids questions, name incorrect both hang at the end.

  • Developer of sql Oracle - code beautifier

    Hi all

Where is beautifier code of oracle sql Developer (if any)?

    My version is 4.0.3.16

It (Ctrl + F7) works for me in 4.0.3 as well in a spreadsheet and the PL/SQL code editor.  According to the SQL Formatter settings, sometimes the action Format has no effect. For example, a piece short single line of SQL may already be formatted according to the parameters.  However, if the Format is something, then Ctrl + F7 should also have the same effect.

Watch Tools > Preferences > shortcut keys to see if the Format is associated with Ctrl + F7. If it is, with Format work but not the shortcut key, then something can be altered in your user settings.

Yes, you can upgrade to the last 16.1 pilots and who should work well however, you should have 1 GB VRAM or more to take advantage of the GPU processors.

  • Area Developer SQL and Windows XP profile

I work in a secure environment where my laptop is quite tightly controlled. In particular, all users of portable computers are limited to a space of 20 MB Windows user profile. There is space in C:\Documents and Settings\ < username > change Data. This is to prevent people to build huge profiles that take an age to download and synchronize with the server connection.

Developer SQL writes stuff in this directory (as does the Data Modeler and JDeveloper). In particular, windowinglayout.xml develops and is now 1 Mb in size. I'm running out of space in my profile, and it won't take long until I'm at my limit. The file size seems to mostly be down to the contents of the/LayoutInfo/clientLayoutData/global/view-data of the item which has become huge. Much of the content seems to relate to connections and files and I tried to remove some connections, but that does not make any difference to the size of the file.

The contents of this file can be controlled? Is it possible to move these files somewhere else, so that they don't cause me a problem? Are there other possible solutions?

    Thank you in advance.
    Andrew

As workaround solution, map the parameters of your profile folder. Add to \sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf:

    AddVMOption-Dide.user.dir=C:\sqldeveloper

    Have fun
