• Apply source formatting doesn't work not as expected

  Hello!

  I currently have a very simple problem, but it's annoying for me.

  The option 'Apply source format' has stopped working for me. I mean, it works, but not entirely.

  For example, I set my preferences for the tag "div" like this:

  before line breaks, inside, after. Content formatted and indented.

  But here is the result when I try to apply:

  It could just be a glitch of Friday the 13th.  For what it's worth, I created a keyboard shortcut to apply shaped Source (Ctrl + Q).  It saves time and I'm not click on the wrong item by mistake.

  Apply Source format inserts a few spaces between the < /li > < br > and. These areas are the origin of the problem. I can remove them manually and the text boxes line up again.

  Under preferences - Format of Code - dash I can remove the check mark and then the format of Source apply not indented and it does not change the appearance of the page. However, who did not renfonçait code hard to read, if this isn't a good solution.

• Bug with the tag source formatting STYLE (DW CC 2015)

  The command 'Apply Source Formatting' formats incorrectly the content of the < style > tag. Instead of putting in the form and content of implementation set back as I specified in the tag library, the content and the closing tag will remain embedded to the left, for example:

  I think the reason for this is the default mode that CSS is formatted. When you run apply Source Formatting on an external style sheet, all selectors are flush with the left side, even within the questions from the media. The mode CSS formatting is determined by the Format of Code category in preferences (click the CSS button for advanced formatting). However, there is no option to indent the selectors.

• How do force you source format to leave empty lines in CS6?

  I inherited the code with paragraph between some lines breaks so that there is a blank line between two lines of code.  When I apply Source Formatting, the original empty lines rest, but when I insert a blank line and then apply, formatted Source, empty lines, I inserted disappear.

  I show hidden characters and found on the lines that remain empty, there are 4 seats and a paragraph mark.  Where to insert the same, shaped always source deletes my empty lines, but retains those that someone else inserted (all in use do not DW) by adding 4 spaces and a paragraph mark.

  This behavior is the result of opening a file that was created outside the DW?  Is anyway to get the source format to let my inserted only blank lines?

  What you describe means that there are other non-visible characters in the resistant line spacing. You can try to copy one of these blank lines and do a search in the file to replace what you copied with nothing and see if that gets rid of them.

  How to assign the hotkey "Ctrl + D" to "commands > apply Source Formatting ' command in DW CS5.5 to make it work? It's all in the book tried unsuccessfully. I assigned the shortcut above the command and while in the code editor when I press on the keys Ctrl + D, nothing happens. How to solve this problem?

  The most Ctrl + letter combinations are already used for other functions as D = duplicate, C = copy, X = cutting, etc...    So try using a different combination of keys Ctrl + Q.  I just tested this combination in CS6 and it works beautifully.

  To remove the newlines in your paragraphs, use find and replace (Ctrl + F / Cmd + F).

  I would like to introduce the price data, quantity etc. fields of the ADF Table of the user interface in a specific format.

  This isn't a problem, this is the expected behavior (and you can't avoid it).

  I use InDesign CS4 ver 6.0 on Mac OS 10.5.8.

  My document has loaded in her paragraph Styles. When I click on the text in my document, the corresponding paragraph Styles are highlighted in the paragraph Styles window. But the text is not formatted with character formatting that is associated with the paragraph Style.

  I took a glance at my character Styles window, and I see that, regardless of the selected paragraph Style, the text on the page is locked in a single character Style, substituting the selected paragraph Style.

  Given that the others don't tell you how to remove the default character style setting, I'll do it. With no active text cursor, will the character styles, and choose [none]. Do theat in a doc open to fix this doc. Do it with no docs open to fix all of the new files.

  I am trying to automate the search text in a file FM11 and CE marking with a specific paragraph tag. Once it is, I want to be able to search for the same string again and delete it. The research will include wildcard characters. I'm moving Word files on and bring with manual numbering of paragraphs. Thus, when they arrive, they "2.3.4.5" before paragraphs for example. I want to search all of the numbers at the beginning of paragraphs, tag all those with the appropriate para format (starting a catalog) and then remove the manual numbering.

  At this time do us it manually, using find/replace and by using wildcard search strings to find (such as '\P[1-9]*.*.*.*[0-9]', which will find all the para numbering at the beginning of a paragraph 4-digit), then using the change option to paste to paste in a paragraph of the catalog tag. Then we repeat the same search and delete the text, leaving only the tag para to the number format. It works very well, but errors can occur if the search string in set incorrectly or if the numbers are not deleted (in this case, it is found on the next search and re-labeled incorrectly).   I guess right here because I've never done this before, but... In my view, there is definitely something wrong with your mission to find the property values. The way you wrote, you are trying to assign two properties to a single table space. That's why you need to remove these two lines to make him find work, because they are replacing the FindText property apparently. Here is my proposal for how it should be:

  As changed search was actually my first soultion, but I tried to consoidate. He has worked on all the numbers in my first example, but failed on the number 88% on my second try.

  But, upon registration of a file and then reopen them later, I noticed that in places, the file does not my expected spaced nested provision that that is the code jumps autour on line and I lose my dash spacing neat. For example:

  I tried to set my preferences > code format > tab size 10 to produce a greater indenting that has improved the problem somewhat but not fixed.

  I love you for my code structure source HTML formatting automatically (indented correctly, all this). It greatly helps me keep profiles of each table, div, etc..

  I spend a good bit of time to manually shaped structure, but it happens to be a chore, especially when I add scripts.

  Know you folks of any utility that will do it automatically?

  I chose autoindent and I put in right place, I think, but there is still no autoindent for example after a new tag div, just the closing tag is displayed directly after it, but not entered.

  DW no auto-tiret when you put back the code. It's just the way it is and has always been for as long as I used it.
