    Hello

I just replaced my DVD ROM drive, but I had a problem.
It is a new DVD rom drive I ordered at TOSHIBA also.
It could not be detected by Windows:
-Tried to check on Device Manager, not detected
-Tried to reload the driver, the same problem
    Note:
Whenever I tried to re - insert the disc, the blue light in the control panel of my P20 beds (I understand, which means that the P20 detects the drive) but I don't understand, is that why Windows XP does not detect it or it does not alarm or error messages.

  • Qosmio F50 - graphics card may not be recognized under 64-bit Windows

I installed the operating system Windows XP 64 on Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10K. I have a big problem, because Windows XP does not recognize my graphics card (nvidia geforce 9600 m gt).
I tried to install the drivers from the nvidia site, but once this graphics card still has not been recognized.
It causes that, when I try to push and drag a window, I can see how it is re-paint.

Could someone help me to solve my problem?

    Hello!

I think that the problem cannot be solved. Toshiba doesn't support any laptop computer with Windows XP 64-bit because it is OS was not so popular.

The only way I know is to use drivers from external Web sites and update your BIOS to the latest version. If it doesn't work, you must use another operating system.

I think that the Qosmio F50 is really fast enough for Vista 64-bit. Try it and you will see too much work.

  • New CD/DVD drive is not properly recognized on Satellite A30

    Hi all

I just bought a new CD-RW/dvd-r for my Satellite A30 disk drive, and it does not recognize the new drive. It is certainly compatible (the player itself is the SD-R2412), but when I go to 'my computer' there is no cd drive it at all.

I have the feeling that it could be something to do with the code of the device in Device Manager, but I don't know how to change, what is the new number, or even what to do.

Can someone help me? -Is it something to do with the Device Manager, drivers or something else?

    Thank you, Jon

Edit: I noticed there are a few other people with the same problem - but it is a different cause. For most people than what happens when the software is installed, and when they enter the Device Manager there is a yellow exclamation point.

However - this is not the case for me. This is a new piece of hardware, and there is no yellow triangle in my device manager. I think it's the wrong device i.d. as I changed the drive itself - but do not know how to go for the implementation, so that the computer makes this new record

  • Hard drive may not...

I have a HP Pavilion dm4-1265dx that Windows 7 running.

I bought this laptop in January 2011. I like much this laptop. For several months he did turn more slowly than usual and I had the Geek Squad run test to see if I have a virus or hardware problem. He has not (according to them). So I House and reformatted the OS all over again and the problem persists. He runs slowly.

I installed a parser of hard drive and here's what's coming:

When I click on their link to get help here what he reads:

Should I replace my hard drive?

    Hello

It seems that you need to replace the hard drive as it appears to show there are increasing areas of the drive that can be written or read from of-whereas hard drives are relatively expensive, I would definetely suggest to replace as soon as possible.

If you want a guide on replacing yourself (it is a very simple process), please let me know.

In the meantime, be sure to back up your personal files immediately.

The driver that you downloaded is for Vista.  According to the Windows 7 Compatibility Center the Belkin game pad does not show as compatible for the moment.  It seems that they still work with Belkin to make it compatible with Windows 7 hardware. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Impossible to update, cannot unlock the drive, may not reach the store, nothing on the start screen

    Symptoms...
    1. After several months of work perfectly, I made a mistake (details below) and attempted to retrieve a previous Restore Point.
    2. the system always starts ok, and some things work.  However...
    3. some applications don't work anymore, for example, Logitech SetPoint.
4 files Explorer remember settings and defaults to each invocation.
    5. various Windows settings have been lost.
    6. the Windows 8 start screen has only 'Start' and my login ID.
    7. I can't update the system or re-install the system.
    8. "change system settings" does absolutely nothing.
    9. I got error messages saying my system disk is locked and I need to unlock it, but I can't do it.  None of my disks is BitLocker on, and I can't find any other meaning of "locked".  The message is "the drive where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive, and then try again. »
    10. I suspect some programs of Windows 8 system are corrupt or lost, but the OS is clearly still Windows 8 in appearance and behavior.
    What I tried...
1 clean the registry with various cleaners.
    2. checked with Windows Update, the software has been completely updated.
    3. the Windows troubleshooting diagnostic tool has not helped.
    4. the same problems occur in Mode without failure.
    5. always had problems after a clean boot.
6 sfc/scannow (as admin) did not help.
    7. I can't do a simple Refresh or reset because I can't go to the store.
    8. out of desperation, I tried updating to Windows 8.1 Overview, but it doesn't have to say that my system disk is locked.  I couldn't find sort of the 'unlock'  BitLocker is off anyway.
    9. I downloaded the installation of window package 8, created an ISO file and burned a DVD.  Tried to repair and regeneration, but both failed.  Once more, the error message said that my system disk is locked.
    10. I am very reluctant to throw my applications, I have over a hundred installed.  In any case, I'm afraid that if I format the system drive, I won't be able to install Windows 8 in all.
How it all started: I made a mistake...
I installed the Gavotte RamDisk and then tried to delete it, forgetting that I needed to run 'as administrator '.  This does not, without saying why, so I removed with Control Panel etc.  Once I did, things started to go wrong.  Previous restore points did not help, and after floundering about in frustration and growing desperation, I ended up here where I am now.
    The system...
    1 MSI motherboard (Z87 - G43)
    2. 2 x 4 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8)
    3. three SATA drives, each with two partitions
    4 DVD burner
    5 external USB floppy
    6. two analog monitors, one connected via a digital-to-analog converter (powered)
7 keyboard and mouse Logitech wireless
    8. USB printer cable
9 LAN with another PC of Windows 8 that works properly
    10. access to on and old XP laptop
WHAT CAN I DO?  I HIT THE BUFFERS!
    The Solution
    ========
The result was much better than I expected.
If you take the road to Microsoft to fix the system, it offers a 'Refresh' or 'remove all and reinstall '.  These two failed because they require access to Microsoft Store.  However, there is a middle path to fix, as long as you have a product key, which re - install Windows 8 as if it were an 'upgrade '.
The process is described quite well here:
    http://www.TechRepublic.com/blog/Windows-and-Office/quick-tip-download-a-new-copy-of-the-Windows-8-upgrade-ISO/
In summary, download the upgrade of widows 8 components and create a picture ISO of DVD, you must burn it to a DVD.  Then, you use this disk to re - install Windows 8.  The great thing about this is that it offers keep your files and settings.  (However, as it is an 'upgrade' it does not provide the option to install on another partition.)
In my case, it worked much better than I expected.  Most of the Windows settings, I thought were lost forever, have been restored.  It's as if she restored settings that he did not know that there :).  Instead of spending hours putting my system after re-setup, I was able to relax, take an evening away from the PC!
Thanks to the person who responded to my original query.
  • Texts of Group may not be recognized in the creation if the texts are deleted?

I delete texts regularly. When I want to search a group by name text, it doesn't save or recognize. I guess that it will only if it is under a current text?

    Hi Ipattaway,

Ask yourself if you can still search group conversations, even if you have deleted your off camera? If you are, then unfortunately it is impossible to search for them.

  • Satellite M30X-165: new HARD drive does not work

Hi, I want to replace the old hard drive, HITACHI 80 GB in my Satellite M30X 165. I bought SEAGATE Momentus 5400.3 120GB but it seems that it may not be recognized by the BIOS. Anyone know what to do or what types of discs can be used in this notebook? Thanks for help.

    Hello

Sometimes a bios update has solved many issues about installing new hardware.

BUT Please note: the Bios has a limitation of size of HARD drive support. Not all sizes are supported. I guess that the 120 GB are too big and therefore you can not use it!

You must switch to a smaller size. Check with a 80 or 100 GB HARD drive

  • BlackBerry 8530 smartphones will not be recognized by computer

I have a 8530 with 1.5 free space that will not be recognized by my operating system Windows Professional 7 600 G. I uninstalled BB OS, re-installed and restarted my computer several times, the driver will not be recognized by the computer. I tried updating the driver, but it won't take. "Software for USB MTP device cannot start." On the device driver, the BB Phone and USB composite device work properly, but the "RIM MS/DPW does not start." So the whole device is not recognized as a device on the system.

As for the device driver files:

    C:\Windows\System 32\Drives\wpdMtpDr.dll

    C:\windows\system32\Drives\winusb.sys

    C:windows\system32\DrivesWUDFRd.sys

    C:windows\system32\WpdMtp.dll

    C:windows\system32\WpdMMtpUS.dll

The driver will not be displayed in the computer, but the BB phone says: "File version 6.1.7600.16385. Victory 7_rtm.090713 - 1255.

Fortunately, I can synchronize my data in the Organizer, but I can't transfer photos or music.

    Can someone help me?

Well, it's a shame... I tried to write, with links to all sorts of instructions step by step, so that almost anyone could do. The only really "dangerous" part is the register edition... and you can skip past, and I hope that things will still work. Is there a specific portion of this set of instructions that you fear excessive?

Otherwise, I hope you find another solution that solves your problems.

    Good luck!

  • Re: CD/DVD drive is not recognized correctly on my Equium P200

I recently bought a laptop P200D and now, I found that the CD/DVD drive is not recognized.

In Device Manager the drive icon has a yellow on exclamation and in the wealthy area it says "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

I tried uninstalling the drive and then to restart the laptop but it is has not been successful. I recently downloaded and installed the Service Pack 1 for Vista and I have read that there have been problems with device drivers and wonder if there is such a body?

Are there updated drivers available for this device?

    Hi Paul,.

You don't say what model of laptop you have, but generally speaking if you are using Windows XP then you will use the standard Microsoft drivers for your scanner.

However, you can Toshiba drivers and utilities download from Toshiba web site by clicking on the Support section and downloads and selection of files to download. You will need to fill in the details of your laptop so that the list of appropriate driver (unless you have provided these details when you register).
