  • My memory card is not read

    Hello!

I'm having a small problem. My computer has a location where it says SD/MMC, so I inserted my memory card, but nothing has popped up. I went to my computer and apparently it don't the had not read. What should I do? There is a small green light on the computer indicating that it recognizes that there is a card in there, but not on the monitor. Help?

    -Naomi

    Naomi, welcome to the forum.

When a help request, you must always include the brand / model of the computer or the monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications for them.

Are you sure that the memory card is the correct format for the reader?  It is the most common problem, we see.  In addition, the reader has read the card in the past?

  • HP dv4-1123us Pavilion Media Card will not read

I have a Pavilion dv4-1123us who will not read a 16 GB SDHC media. He reads a xD 512 MB and 2 GB.

    What's wrong?

I wanted to let you know that what you did was good.  I invited a friend of mine who is quite in computer problems.  He checked that the drivers you have installed were correct. Soon, he realized he had a problem with my Photo Picasa 3 program. There google something like Picasa won't read the card camera and found that there was an automatic upgrade a few days ago (when I started having the problem) that created this problem.

It's the Gremlin Picasa version Build 3.9 136.18. affecting Windows Vista and XP and Windows 8.

    This is what happens:

    Hello

There is a problem with imports in the latest version of Picasa (3.9 Build 136.18). Windows Vista and XP seems to be affected. Until it's resolved use Windows to perform the import.

  • SD card will not read

Hi, I have a Sandisk 8 GB class 6 SD in my laptop card reader. Previously, I could get my photos on it. I used it in my camera since then. Have not formatted, just take some pictures. Now, for some reason any it does not recognize. There is no light present to tell me that it is reading, just normally turns out as a flash drive in my computer. And disappears when I eject it.

I had a bag around the computer management and I noticed a Service called removable storage. For some reason, this has been set to only start manually, so I changed to automatic and he began. No difference.
    > Oh, that's right. I have, in my devices on controllers IDE ATA/ATAPI, Ricoh SD/MMC Host Controller and Ricoh SD Host Controller. My slot only reads SD, I can say. I don't remember specified. In any case, the MMC, it said that this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

That looks like it's causing my problem but it has always been like that. Why start badly behave now? I rebooted several times.
Someone has an idea? Honestly, is it just me, or did when you know your way around a machine, it comes this difficulty...

And as I thought, as soon as it worked, the first card worked. Interesting... for the real Windows gurus that teach us?

The memory card also works very well with a USB...

It could be a problem with the codecs. In the Explorer trying to change the display of files other than the 'thumbnails '. If the problem goes away, then this is the codec that creates an overview of the files. See below:

Double-click a problem under Windows Explorer that corresponds to the date and time that you have encountered the problem. On the "problem reports and Solutions" look under the signature of the problem of the header "fault Module name:"and google for the file find what program it belongs, then uninstall, reinstall or upgrade the program. I downloaded the Realtek card reader but stil nothing.
I'm afraid that I might have deleted the bridge media in the list of programs.

    Can someone help me please.

Thank you very much in advance

    Hello

The Satellite C650 card reader supports SD card, SDHC, MultiMediaCard card and mini SD card in the SD adapter.

    microSD card are not supported.

PS: Check the status of card reader in Device Manager. Then, you will know if the pilot was properly installed. If there is no yellow? signs near the card reader, then everything should be ok

  • C55D-A-12N satellite can not read SD cards

I got my Satellite for only a few months, and he was happily read the 8 GB SD card and then stopped.
I bought a new 16 gb SD card, and it will not read either.

I had cause to take the laptop to the factory settings and had a broken hard drive replaced.
It does not read the card. I looked in the Device Manager, and he told me that the drivers are installed...

    . Can someone help please?

    Hello

There's a reason simply why the SD card isn't recognized properly: the SD card isn't compatible.
The Satellite C55D-A-12N card reader takes in charge the rest of media:

8 MB to 2 GB SD
SDHC 4 GB to 32 GB
    64 GB SDXC
Mini 8 MB to 2 GB SD through adapter
Micro SD 8 MB to 2 GB via adapter
Any other MMC 4 MB more than 2 GB

As you can see, the regular SD cards are supported by only the formats between 8 MB and 2 GB

  • Satellite Pro M40X - can not read MMC - SD card more than 1 GB

    Hello
I have a Satellite Pro M40X but it read only MMC/SD with a capacity of 1 GB. If I try with 2GB or 4GB nothing appens. What can I do? What drivers I try to upgrade to Windows XP to be able to read cards up to 4 GB?

    thanx

    Hello

The drive will not read the 4 GB SD card due to hardware limitation!
CA? s not a software but a hardware problem!

Even you will update the driver, it will not help get the 4 GB SD card running!
I recommend to use an external card reader which can be connected to the USB port!

  • Re: Satellite A200-1N7 does not read the SDHC card using Win 7 32 bit

    Hi all

After that I installed windows 7 32 bit on my laptop, it does not read my sdhc card.
And he did it when I got Vista.

Can someone help what to do?

    Thank you very much:

    Adry

    Hello

Have you installed the driver for the card reader?
Have you noticed an unknown device in Device Manager?

Please see the page of European disk from Toshiba for the card reader driver.
Satellite A200-1N7 belongs to the PSAE3E series
I found the driver of the card reader for Vista 64-bit
Usually the Vista driver should work on Win 7 OS too

If this does not work, then try the drivers released for A500 or L500 series!

    Welcome them

Please help, what is the solution?
An update of the driver? Where can I find this update?

    TKS in advance!

    Hello

Unfortunately, the SD card reader uses the common Microsoft Windows drivers and you won't find it on the Toshiba site. I read some reviews on the integrated SD card reader and it seems that the notebooks are not able to manage a larger SD cards.

In such cases, I really recommend to buy a USB card reader extended simple. These devices are not expensive and I m sure that this device must be compatible with 2 GB SD cards.
